Ruea says, "To be fair I never thought Elec or I would actually get married."

Ruea says, "No, I think we just did vows and rings at the weddings."

You say in Ilithic, "I always get starry-eyed listening to the romantic story of him surprising you with the wedding."

Ruea says, "He very specifically told me, many times, he was absolutely not ever going to marry me."

Ruea says, "He didn't want to do that originally either, he insisted just being together was fine and I agreed.  Two days later he showed up with a rose."

Ruea says, "Then he insisted he'd never, ever marry again.  A week later we were on a rooftop in Ratha."

Ruea chuckles.

Ruea says, "It took a lot of work."

Ruea says, "You know you can ask me anything."

You say in Ilithic, "I suppose this may be more advice, than a question.  But... Ezerak and I are both quite....what is the word..."

Ruea says in Ilithic, "Ayrell, I can hardly mention to you that I never once waited and then in the next breath tell you not to do it."

You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.

Ruea says in Ilithic, "If it would make you happy, do it. I think the bond rose is more... intimate.  I liked that it was just us, that it was a sacred moment only we witnessed."

You say in Ilithic, "We have been so torn over whether it is the right thing to do.  Or if it would somehow lesson the wedding day."

Ruea says in Ilithic, "It didn't for me.  To me they were two different things."

You ponder.

Ruea says in Ilithic, "For me, bonding was...  a moment of intimacy?  A declaration.  It brought us closer. The wedding was the formality, the vows and promises and...  I hate to say technicalities,  but to an extent it is.  Bonding was more from the heart, the wedding was more from the mind.  When we'd taken enough time to articulate what bonding meant."
