This,  however, was  its  last  exploit.  A  large  piece  of  it  was  torn  away  by the  shell,  but  the  fragment  that  remained  in  my  hand  is  still preserved  to  this  day  in  our  family,  together  with  a  number  of other  antiquities  of  the  greatest  value.
