There's a purple flash of light and the orb of blood disappears from sight, probably stashed away in some form of magical storage or something. It wouldn't surprise you at all if Medea kept some sort of extradimensional storage system for things like that, though it's not really like she'd normally have much of a use for material components in her magecraft, considering her mastery of High Speed Divine Words.
