  3. The idea of the character is that the body has two souls inside of it. I have various ways of explaining it, but for the sake of simplicity let's just say the soul has been inside him since birth through some magic that's been cast by a third party. The dragon soul used to be a dragon warrior that died in an ancient war (dragons vs. humans), he's a hot blodded fighter with a lot of confidence and pride (dragon stuff), but dying in the war basically shifted his personality to be more thoughtful. Him realizing that he's stuck in a human body thousands of years later makes him wonder about why he's being kept alive and what his purpose is. The war is over, he knew the dragons lost, but did someone want him to stay alive and continue the fight?

  5. The human character doesn't really find out about him until the story "begins". He was saved once as a child, by the dragon warrior when his parents were hunted down and killed as the [villains] were trying to aquire the [ancient blade] he's carrying with him now. The dragon can take over the body by force (or at least could when he was a child) and control it and he used that to make an escape. The MC has been living in the wilderness mostly, fighting beasts to survive and generally just existing and travelling the lands. He doesn't harbor feelings of revenge, but he wants to understand why his parents had to die for the sword.

  7. To explain the story structure more, the dragons were not killed to extinction, but they are still survivors which harbor feelings of revenge for humans. If we go with the previously mentioned idea, they aquired a sort of magic technique that allows them to plant the souls of deceased warriors in humans. They would then take over the bodies and basically be "resurrected" to continue the war. In this specific case the dragon warrior has no interest in continuing the war, but at the same time doesn't like sharing a body with someone else. After the first time they "meet" later in the story, they generally do get along and agree to find out who put them into that position and what they do with their predicament. As they align and get along better, their powers become stronger eventually allowing them to transform into the old dragon form (think anthro dragon form, something like [https://i.imgur.com/pN9fkVr.jpeg] but a little less beef) and becoming extremely powerful while also being dangerous (the body can't take all that power etc. they lose control take damage, it's not supposed to be a cheatcode). The dragon warrior used to be about the strongest of his kind already and the human character is no pushover either. Basically the human brings the ingenuity, strategic thinking, unwavering determination and the (heroic) will to end this conflict to protect not only the humans but also saving the dragons who've been lusting for revenge for many years. The dragon brings basically his combat level, knowledge about the conflict and the past and the right amount of fire that allows the duo to basically be equipped for every situation.

  9. I think that should be enough for the character introduction, there's so much more i've been invested in this world for over 15 years, but it was never intended to be seen by anyone else. It's very much meant to only appeal to me and neither be a good or interesting story. There's more characters, most notably, he is getting a female companion which plays a huge role (basically 50/50), but since i focus on vtubing in this context, she will take a backseat until i'm comfortable. Her personality is also fleshed out a lot, but it would be way too much here. As i said i'm willing to elaborate it in a personal chat, i don't think i should be using this thread to loredump.
