  11. After beating Pewter City's Gym Leader, Brock, I went east to Route 3 to catch a new Pokemon, but gosh, it was full of trainers everywhere, so it was hard to get past them. Once I defeated a few of them, I found a bunch of tall grass, so I went in it to see what I could find. A wild Spearow appeared! It's a Normal/Flying-Type Pokemon, just like Pidgey. I wasn't about to let this Spearow get away from me, so I caught it. I wasn't sure what benefit would come from using 2 Normal/Flying-Type Pokemon, but I still took Spearow with me for the time being. As I ventured on, I saw a really big mountain... Mt. Moon. I peeked inside Mt. Moon but it wasn't too dark, I could see a few things. I took a few steps inside and I tripped over a pretty big rock. I didn't get hurt from the fall, so it wasn't a big deal. Next thing I know, I let out a loud scream when I see the rock I tripped over got up from the ground. It was a Geodude! Just like Brock's! I didn't have a Rock or a Ground type yet so I decided to fight it off with my Rattata. Luckily, I was able to catch it with my second Poke Ball. After catching Geodude, something strange happened... the Poke Ball in which I caught it in suddenly disappeared. I left Mt. Moon after that and went to the Pokemon Center that's just outside to heal my Pokemon and ask if someone knows what happened to my Geodude. As I was asking everyone, a man overheard the conversation and approached me. He said when a trainer has 6 Pokemon, any newly caught Pokemon will go into the PC Storage System. The Pokemon Center has a PC, so I checked it out and he was right! My Geodude was on "Someone's PC"! I don't know who that "someone" is, but I hope they don't get angry at me for using their PC. I wanted to take Geodude with me, but I already have 6 Pokemon with me, until I noticed I had Pidgey and Spearow, which are of the same types. I had to choose one of them, but it was a hard decision. Spearow is level 6, which is a lower than Pidgey's level, and Pidgey has been a very strong Pokemon for me, but that's exactly why I decided to take Spearow with me for the time being. I wanted to give Pidgey a break from all its hard work.

  18. I noticed my Spearow and Geodude were a bit low leveled, so I went to train on the grass on Route 3. After leveling my team up, I went inside Mt. Moon, prepared for anything. Inside, I ran into a Bug Catcher who said there were some suspicious men in the cave. I thought he was just overreacting, I mean, the cave is pretty dark. I kept going through Mt. Moon and I went down a ladder that was near the entrance. It was a bit darker below, but I could still see some things, like another ladder that was ahead, for instance. I went down that ladder and I found a guy dressed in black saying that he was from Team Rocket, a group of Pokemon gangsters. He challenged me to a battle, but he was no match for my Rattata's Hyper Fang, which was able to take down his Sandshrew, Zubat and Rattata. I found a bottle of HP Up in the room, and after taking it, I went back up to the first floor. On the way, I went down another ladder I found, and there was another one of those Team Rocket people, he said Team Rocket was doing a big job on Mt. Moon. He challenged me to a battle, but he was no match for my team, either. The room was a dead end, just like the last one, so I went back up the ladder. After a little walk, I found a ladder on a dead end, so I presumed that was the way forward, so I went down the ladder. The place was slightly darker than the first floor, so I proceeded with caution, but then I ran into another Team Rocket member. I thought he was going to be easy like the others, but this one had a strong-looking level 16 Raticate, which looks just like it's Rattata's evolution. I sent out my Rattata so I could use Hyper Fang on it, but my Rattata wasn't able to do much damage to it. I was surprised, every Pokemon I faced so far wasn't able to take Hyper Fang from my Rattata. He used Tail Whip to lower my Rattata's defense, so I switched out my Rattata, since Hyper Fang wasn't working. I sent out Geodude, because Rock-Type Pokemon resist Normal-Type attacks, but even so my Geodude wasn't able to take too many of those Hyper Fang and Quick Attack from Raticate. I could see my Geodude trying its best, but that Raticate was just too strong... After a few hits, Raticate looked very weak, but just then, it used Hyper Fang again and this time, it bit Geodude on its head, which is its weak spot. Geodude fell to the ground in pain, but it still had a little bit of energy left, which it used to Tackle Raticate and defeat it. Geodude looked like it was about to pass out, so I ran over to the Pokemon Center outside as fast as I could. It was a close call, my Geodude almost died. I should have been more careful. After healing my team, I went back to Mt. Moon to finish what I started. I ran into 2 more Team Rocket members later on, but these ones were weak like the first ones. After that, there was a guy that stopped me from going forward saying the fossils found were his because he was the one who found them, so he challenged me to a battle. He injured my Beedrill a bit on the battle, but it was nothing too bad. I defeated him and he told me he was willing to share 1 of the 2 fossils with me, so I took the Helix Fossil. It looked like it was more important the Dome Fossil. I managed to exit Mt. Moon through a ladder I found ahead. I'm now on Route 4, so I decided to explore a bit. I found a Great Ball and a TM along the way, then I ran into a wild Ekans in the tall grass just before the next city, so I used my Ivysaur's Leech Seed to weaken it before catching it. After catching it, I went on and arrived at Cerulean City. It's a really soothing place. I went to heal my Pokemon in the Pokemon Center before exploring the city. Then, I went to the bicycle shop and the clerk told me they had a really nice bike for me! I was pretty excited about it, I always wanted to have my own bike! Sadly, it cost 1,000,000 Pokedollars so I couldn't afford it. As I went outside, I figured I should look for a Pokemon Gym, so I went to find out if there's one nearby. I found the Pokemon Gym and its leader is called Misty. I went inside and it's a huge pool with people swimming all around. The guy at the door told me that Misty's a Water-type Pokemon user, and that I could use Grass- or Electric-Type Pokemon to beat them. I have no Electric-Type Pokemon so my strongest option in this Gym was my Ivysaur. So I left the Gym in order to go level up my team on Route 4. After all that rigorous training, I didn't feel like taking on the Pokemon Gym, so I explored a bit more and saw this golden bridge to the north, so I went towards it. On the way, I ran into Blue. He said he had caught a bunch of strong and smart Pokemon, so he wanted to battle me and my team. Of course, I accepted his challenge!

  25. He started the battle with his Pidgeotto, the evolved form of Pidgey. It looked pretty powerful, but Flying-Type Pokemon can't beat
  26. Rock-Type Pokemon, so I sent out my Geodude. He used Gust at first, but it was no good on my Geodude. I used Rock Throw and Pidgeotto
  27. looked like it couldn't take another Rock Throw, so it used Sand Attack on my Geodude and because of that, Geodude wasn't able to hit
  28. Pidgeotto with Rock Throw for a bit, but it still took no damage because Pidgeotto has no attacks to beat Geodude. Finally, a Rock Throw landed! Pidgeottto is down! Blue sent out an Abra. I had never seen that Pokemon before, so I was careful. I decided to change
  29. Geodude out and sent out my Beedrill to attack with Fury Attack. Abra kept using Teleport, but Fury Attack is a multi-hit move, so
  30. Beedrill was able to hit it a few times to finish it off. Blue sent out his Rattata, and I decided to take it on with Beedrill, using
  31. Fury Attack, but Rattata answered back with Tackle and Quick Attack, and Beedrill still managed to beat it after a few hits. Blue
  32. finally sent out his Charmander. Beedrill is a Bug/Poison-Type Pokemon, so it's weak to Fire. I switched Beedrill out and sent my
  33. Geodude back in. Charmander used Ember, but Rock-Type Pokemon aren't affected much by Fire attacks. Geodude used Rock Throw and it went down the same way Pidgeotto did, in 2 hits! After beating Blue, he told me he went to Bill's house to see Bill's rare Pokemon, and it filled a lot of pages on his Pokedex. He also told me Bill was the one who made the Pokemon Storage System on the PC! I guess that's who that "someone" was. Blue left and I decided to go heal my Pokemon, and after that I went up to that golden bridge again to cross it. A trainer told me that the bridge is called Nugget Bridge, and that you have to fight a few trainers in a row to get across, but at the end, they would give me a great prize, so I decided to take on the Nugget Bridge challenge. I beat all 5 trainers, and on the end, there was a man who gave me a Nugget as prize for beating all the trainers on the bridge. But then, he asked me to join Team Rocket! He said they're a group dedicated to evil using Pokemon. Just the thought of that disgusts me... using Pokemon for evil deeds. I refused, but he kept insisting so he tried to convince me by beating me in a battle. Of course, he was no match for my Butterfree's Confusion attack. After I beat him, he said I could become a leader on Team Rocket if I wanted to, but I refused again and went back to Cerulean City. As I went into the Pokemon Center, I heard some people talking about how getting an Abra is very difficult, so I went towards them and they told me that Abra uses the move Teleport in the wild in order to flee from battle. The challenge of getting an Abra was very interesting to me, so I went to get my Ekans from the PC. It knows the move Wrap, which I can use to weaken and immobilize Abra so I can catch it. I left Beedrill in the PC Box for a while while I took Ekans. Sadly, my Ekans was level 6, so I had to level it up, and so I did. Once Ekans was level 18, I went to the tall grass on Route 24, and I found an Abra! As planned, I had Ekans use Wrap, and it wasn't able to flee from battle. After weakening it, I threw a Poke Ball and I was able to catch it. I went ahead and found myself on Route 25, where I found a wild Oddish and caught it as well. Just then, I realized... Oddish is a Grass/Poison-Type Pokemon just like Ivysaur. Why not take it with me to the Cerulean City Pokemon Gym as well? That's when I decided to head back to Cerulean City's Pokemon Center and take Oddish with me to train it. I left Ekans in the PC, to give it a break after all the training I put it through. After Oddish was level 19, I remembered to go visit Bill and see who he was. He lives on Route 25, apparently, but that route is filled with trainers, and one of them managed to poison my Butterfree, so I had to hurry back to Cerulean City. Luckily, nothing bad happened to Butterfree along the way. I need to keep my guard up if I want to prevent my Pokemon from dying. On the way to Bill's house again, I ran into a few more trainers and my Oddish evolved into a Gloom! Now I'll definitely beat the Gym. When I entered Bill's house at the end of Route 25, there was no one there, just a Pokemon. When I approached the Pokemon, it suddenly talked to me! The Pokemon said it was Bill, and that he was doing an experiment but it went wrong and turned him into a Pokemon so I helped him turn back into himself again. Bill was very grateful for the help and let me have an S.S. Ticket! With this ticket, I can board the S.S. Anne ship in Vermilion City. I thanked Bill for the ticket and left his house, but when I stepped out, I remembered to ask him to show me his rare Pokemon, for my Pokedex. He said he had them on his PC, so I checked them out. He had an Eevee, a Flareon, a Jolteon, and a Vaporeon. That's a lot of new pages added to my Pokedex! Prof. Oak would be so happy with my progress, so I decided to go back to Cerulean City and contact the professor through the Pokemon Center's PC. Professor Oak said I should get the HM Flash from one of his aides but I can't go back to Pallet Town now. Now... That's it. Now I'm ready to take on Misty and her Water-Type Pokemon! I left my whole party in the PC except for Ivysaur and Gloom, to ensure none of them got hurt in the battle. I defeated all the trainers in her Gym with my Gloom, so now... It's time to challenge Misty!

  40. Misty started the battle with a Staryu, a Water-Type Pokemon. I sent out my Ivysaur because I wanted to save Gloom for last, since it's a higher level. Her Staryu used Tackle and got a critical hit on my Ivysaur, but Ivysaur looked like nothing hit it. I told Ivysaur to use Leech Seed so he could recover its health a little from the damage. Staryu used Tackle again, but the damage wasn't too much and the Leech Seed gave Ivysaur some health back. I used Vine Whip on Staryu and it was taken down with 1 hit! She sent out a Pokemon called Starmie, the evolved form of Staryu. I don't know why she had both the un-evolved form along with the evolved form, but I tried not to let that cloud my mind. I had to focus to win this battle. Starmie used Tackle on Ivysaur and it took down more health than Staryu did, but it still wasn't much. I used Leech Seed to try to sap its health away. Next, Misty called her Starmie and gave it an X Defend to raise its defense. That didn't matter to me, I was going to keep using Vine Whip until it was taken down. After 3 Vine Whip attacks, Starmie fell down in defeat, and so did Misty! She gave me the Cascade Badge as proof of my victory. I'm another step closer to my goal!
