- SCENE 6: POISON EGGPLANT
- (530-602)
- The camera pans in on the greenhouses, where a lesson is in session.
- MRS. BEAN: "Good Morning Everybody."
- Mrs. Bean decides to speak up, as none of her students seemed to hear her.
- MRS. BEAN: "Good Morning Everybody!"
- ALL STUDENTS: "Goodmorning Preofessor!"
- MRS. BEAN: "Welcome To All The Student In Grade Two! Go To No. 3 Warm House! Now Everybody Come Over! Today We Need To Change The Basin For The Magic App! Who Can Tell Me Here What Is Th Efunction For
- The Root Of The Magic Appl?"
- Mely raises her hand.
- MRS. BEAN: "Gland Please."
- MELY GLAND: "Magic Apple, Another Name Is Poison Eggplant. It Is For Felping Thstoned People To Make Them Recover. It Is Very Dangerous. Hearing The Cry Of The Magic Apple... Somebody May Be Killed."
- (Note that in the book, Hermione says that mandrakes can cure "people who have been transfigured or cursed." The film changes this to "petrified", which makes the foreshadowing far more blatant.)
- MRS. BEAN: "It Is Great, Gland Ten More! Now The Magic Apple Is Only A Small Root! Their Crying Is Not Killing, But It Is Poison Enough To Make You Sleep!
- That'S Why I Gave You The Ear Protecter, To Keep You Away From The Crying! Now Everybody On The Ear Cover, Hurry! Cover It Tightly..."
- The students all put on theri ear protection.
- MRS. BEAN: "Look At Me Carefully, Hold The Magic Apple, And Then... Pull It Out From The Soil!"
- The eggplant's scream is still enough to make the students all cover their already-protected ears.
- MRS. BEAN: "And Then.... Put It Into Another Basin! Put On More Earth, To Keep It Warm!"
- Robaton faints.
- MRS. BEAN: "This Is It! Robaton Forgot To Get His Ear Cover!"
- MOSSY: "No Professor, He Just Fall Down."
- MRS. BEAN: "It Is Ok, Leave Him Alone!"
- The Preofessor dismisses the unconscious student, the translation really not doing justice to how douchy she seems in this moment.
- MRS. BEAN: "Ok Now! We Need To Change The Basins For The Magic Apple! Hold Your Magic Apple, Pull It Out From The Soil..."
- The students pull up their eggplant, all looking equally miserable. Cut to the school corridors, where the local school ghost is being very casually acknowledged.
- STUDENT: "That Is Nike."
- Knight Nick (TM) ignores them and instead greet the only remnant of the book's romantic sub-plot.
- KNIGHT NICK (TM): "Hello Pase, Miss Water."
- PASE: "Hello Nike."
- Knight Nick (TM) flies into the Great Hall, where Lean Wislin is trying to fix his broken wand with tape.
- LEAN WISLIN: "Say It, I Am Over."uxius
- HALLY PORTER: "You Are Over."
- Suddenly, a hyperactive boy shows up and snaps a picture of Hally.
- KELLIN CLIWEY: "Hey Harry! I Am Kellin Cliwey! I Came To Glad Fenduo!"
- HALLY PORTER: "Hey Nice To Meet You."
- DEAN THOMAS: "En, Is That Your Owl?"
- The owl descends majestically... only to crash into a bowl of crisps placed on the table.
- LEAN WISLIN: "This Birs Is Too Horrible."
- Lean removes the red envelope from the owl, and is terrified by what he sees. The bird soon regains his senses and flies away.
- LEAN WISLIN: "Dad My God!"
- MOSSY: "Come And See! Ron Got A Yelling Email!"
- ROBATON: "Once I Ignored The Yelling Email From My Grandma. It Came Out To Be Terrible!"
- Lean follows the advice from his possibly robotic classmate and opens the letter, which starts levitating and reads itself out in the voice of his mother.
- MOLLY WISLIN: "Ron Welsly! You Dare To Steal! You Should Be Ashame! Your Father Now Is Being Checked By The Department! This Is All Your Fault! If You Make More Mistake, We Are Going To Take You Back!"
- The letter then turns to Jimne Wislin, whom it treats more warmly.
- MOLLY WISLIN: "Oh Dear Jimne... Welcome You In The Gladfendo. Your Dad And Me Are So Proud Of You!"
- The letter blows a raspberry at Lean before disintergratng itself.
- END OF SCENE 6.
