  1. It had been a rough couple of days for the vulpine. Lisa hadn’t been all there mentally. Her grandmother had passed recently. Barely able to keep herself awake, she was trying to eat some noodles. The poor thing kept missing her mouth. The radio was on the background, barely offering a distraction to the depressed fox.

  5. She had luckily gotten to see her grandmother after her own transition, even though it only seemed like it was yesterday due to an accident from a dragon mad scientista of a friend. Her family disowned her. But it wasn’t the same. The poor woman had only barely recognized Lisa, the dementia almost wiping away her mind. And then the funeral was horrid, with the woman in the casket not even looking like her grandmother. The vulpne said that she loved the woman and then left, tears staining the front of her dress knowing that there was nothing she could do about it.

  9. All of this reflection didn’t prepare her for the four arms to wrap around her waist and hips. Or the four breasts to press heavily into her back. It took Lisa a moment to see the dark navy blue fur. Her roommate, Tazel, was home. Shi was in a chipper mood too.

  12.
  13. “I know you’re upset hon, but you need to stop being so down.”
  14.
  15.
  16.
  17. Shi nuzzled the other vulpine and sighed. It wasn’t easy seeing her so depressed, but Tazel was determined to see it through. They were good friends and had been since even before Lisa had transitioned. When Lisa’s family had disowned her, Tazel was the first one there to lend a helping paw and give the fox a place to stay. Since then, Lisa had been added to the lease of the two bedroom studio apartment and paid half the rent and the majority of the bills.

  21. The two, since Tay had moved in, started a relationship. It was a little unusual for Lisa because Tazel was different. Tazel was a herm, where as Lisa was a woman. Not that the vixen didn’t love her azuline friend any less. It just made the intimacy a little hard at the moment for her because she wasn’t used to being with men or herms. But Lisa did indeed love Tazel and enjoyed spending time with hir.

  23.
  24.
  25. “You’re right, Tazel.”
  26.
  27.
  28.
  29. The rust colored vixen, turned in her chair looking at her blue counterpart and nodded. There was no denying shi was right. She had been sulking too long and it was definitely time to change that. So Lisa spun back around to the computer and started typing in web addresses. This was followed by a password on one of them. A few sounds and then a smile formed on her face.

  33. “We can take a three day vacation at a hotel if we pack now and leave. We can go hiking in the woods, and fishing and so many other things. Heck, you could even taur out while we’re there. And there is even bars and night clubs we could go to. Anything but staying here at this point would be great, if I’m perfectly honest!”
  34.
  35.
  36.
  37. The blue vixen mrrfed at this but nuzzled her beau, kissing Lisa’s cheek lightly. Tazel was a limited shapeshifter and had fun doing it, something Lisa enjoyed a well. The mutual murring caused her tail to twitch as she checked her business’ email.
  38.
  39.
  40.
  41. “Can you shut down for a couple of days though, hon? I mean won’t your clients get upset or something?
  42.
  43.
  44.
  45. “Oh yeah, Faux Art can survive three days. I mean they know it’s a holiday right? Plus, I did just lose my grandmother, so I think it’s understandable that I’d take a break to relax and try to get my head clear again. But what about you? Wouldn’t they miss you too?”
  46.
  47.
  48.
  49. The blue fox nodded but squeezed the other close. Sighing, shi tossed hir auburn hair out of hir eyes and leaned down, nibbling on Lisa’s ear gently. Tazel worked as a masseuse and was very good at it, the extra arms helping of course.
  50.
  51.
  52.
  53. “Of course they will. But tough. You need a break. I need a break. There’s been a lot of crap going on in the world. It’ll be...theraputic.”
  54.
  55.
  56.
  57. Lisa got up and out of hir reach, needing to not only stretch but her stomach growled. She walked to the kitchen, realizing that the noodles she was eating earlier weren’t enough. Sighing, Lisa pulled out a packet of hot dogs and set them on the machine. She then pulled out potatoes and started to peel them, watching Tazel. The azure vulpine was looking around the room, as though chasing her own tail and flailing her arm which elicited a laugh from Lisa.

  60.
  61. “Alright, so the reservation isn’t till seven, it’s only two. We’ve got five hours to eat, wash up and get clothes ready. We’ll take my car since it’s the roomiest of the two.”
  62.
  63.
  64.
  65. “Sounds fair. I could probably use a shower anyway.”
  66.
  67.
  68.
  69. Lisa rolled her eyes when Tazel made to sniff her own arm pit. The hot dogs sizzling around her made the vixen’s stomach growl even more. She went to the fridge again and pulled out an apple.
  70.
  71.
  72.
  73. “You know, it isn’t that far away. We could probably relax for say thirty minutes or so before having to do anything. And it’s not like we need many clothes or food.”
  74.
  75.
  76.
  77. “I’m done! I even got yours packed!”
  78.
  79.
  80.
  81. “Wait...what?”
  82.
  83.
  84.
  85. Lisa felt those four arms wrap around her again and kisses come along her neck. She let out a soft murr. She tilted her neck and sighed, closing her eyes. Mentally, Lisa was hoping the hot dogs wouldn’t burn as let her roomie and lover and just hold her. It was nice to be able to relax and just enjoy the moment even as her body felt tense. She wrapped her fingers around the azure ones at her waist and smiled.
  86.
  87.
  88.
  89. “Four arms are better than two dear.”
