  1. Master Quest dungeon dice monsters/all dungeons and dungeon skulltulas FAQ
  2.
  3. Q: Why is it called dungeon dice monsters?
  4. A: Silly name for an arbitrary category
  5.
  6. Q: What is Master Quest?
  7. A: MQ is a separate version of OoT which was released as a preorder bonus for TWW. All of the dungeons in MQ are redone and have new puzzles, but everything outside of dungeons is the same.
  8.
  9. Q: What are the exact requirements? What counts as a dungeon?
  10. A: The obvious dungeons required are
  11.
  12. Deku tree (4 gold skulltulas)
  13. Dodongo's Cavern (5 gold skulltulas)
  14. Jabu (4 gold skulltulas)
  15. Forest Temple (5 gold skulltulas)
  16. Fire Temple (5 gold skulltulas)
  17. Water Temple (5 gold skulltulas)
  18. Shadow Temple (5 gold skulltulas)
  19. Spirit Temple (5 gold skulltulas)
  20.
  21. There are also 4 other areas that are not normally considered "dungeons"
  22.
  23. Ice Cavern (3 gold skulltulas) (iron boots)
  24. Bottom of the Well (3 gold skulltulas) (lens of truth)
  25. Gerudo Training Grounds (0 gold skulltulas)(ice arrow)
  26. Ganon's Castle Trials
  27.
  28. I have decided to include all of these because while generally not considered dungeons in other OoT categories, they are changed in MQ and I wanted to show off as many MQ differences as possible. BotW and IC also have 3 gold skulltulas each so it seemed appropriate to add them. For the finishing points for these, I decided iron boots, lens of truth and ice arrows would be the "end point" of ice cavern, botw and gtg respectively. In total the run should end with 44 gold skulltulas
  29.
  30. Q: This seems like a dumb arbitrary category, what's the point of this?
  31. A: The reason MQ is rarely ran in the first place is because if you do any regular OoT category in MQ, the majority of the run is the same. The closest you get to very different runs are MST and glitchless, but MST still skips a huge amount of a lot of the dungeons and glitchless is not what most people are looking for for running MQ. I wanted a category that shows off as much of the differences of MQ as possible with as little of stuff that's the same from OoT and this seems to be the best option.
  32.
  33. Q: So you just want an easy WR?
  34. A: Obviously
