  1. Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories 100% FAQ (15x15 star chips mod)
  2.
  3. Q: What are you trying to do?
  4. A: Unlock every duelist and get 689 cards into the library of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, thus completing 100% of the game. There are 722 cards total, but 33 can't be obtained. I am playing the 15x15 star chips version of the game, in which you win 15 cards per duel and win 15 times as many star chips as normal.
  5.
  6. Q: Why not play the original game?
  7. A: The 15-card mod is much more playable for speedruns, as you don't have to spend nearly as much time farming for cards.
  8.
  9. Q: What are you playing on?
  10. A: ePSXe, an emulator for PS1 games.
  11.
  12. Q: What is the world record?
  13. A: 8:41:15 by EnsgMaster. For reference, the world record for 100% in the original game is 72 hours.
  14.
  15. Q: Is this run done in one segment?
  16. A: The rules allow for as many segments as the runner wants, but I am strongly opposed to doing this run in multiple segments. Runners typically spend time between segments checking to see what cards they're missing, which greatly reduces farming, but the rules do not say to count this extra time. This allowance makes sense in a 100% run of the original game because it is impossible to complete that run in one segment without damaging one's health. However, it feels unfair in a shorter run, so all runs I submit to the leaderboard will be single segment.
  17.
  18. My first run (or maybe runs) will be segmented as a form of practice, but I will not submit them.
  19.
  20. Q: How do you get a card into your library?
  21. A: By winning the card, fusing for it, or ritual summoning it. Most cards are won, but some can only be fused for or ritual summoned.
  22.
  23. Q: What's the route like?
  24. A: See this paste: https://pastebin.com/vQWteRVL
  25.
  26. Q: Where can I see which cards you've won?
  27. A: This is a work in progress, but for now I'm using the same spreadsheet I used for normal 15-card runs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GbVX8yktKOBnAEGy2lFQimLTuU1llZeKbWg2_PtBn74/edit?usp=sharing
