  9. “Hello, world. This is Lois Lane broadcasting live from the always lovely Metropolis. This is my first podcast and I must admit it took the studio a lot of convincing to get me on here. I guess it’s time to get with the times.” Light chuckle into the mic “I’m ecstatic to announce the special guest I have with me today. I knew I had to do something big to get your attention, so I brought in the big guy himself.
  10.
  11. Superman. Thank you for joining me today. I’m sure there are other ways you could spend your morning but just know the people and I. Appreciate it.”
  12.
  13. "Thank you, Lois, I’m more than happy to be here. There's nothing I love more than making sure the citizens of Metropolis start off their day on a pleasant note. And I’m extremely honored you reached out to me so I could join on the very first episode of your show."
  14.
  15.
  16. “Did you hear that world? Superman is honored to be on MY show.” Another muffled laugh “I’m just going to jump right in since I’m not sure how much time I’ll really get with you.” A small pause as Lois gathers her notes.
  17.
  18. “With everything going on in our country, with the way social media and the news has us all so divided..have you ever thought about running for the presidency? With you in the Oval Office, I’m sure the country would run out of things to complain about.”
  19.
  20. "Well there was a time where becoming President of our fine country seemed like quit the aspiration. But overtime I realized that battling giant monsters and alien invaders would be far less stressful. And unfortunately, even if I were to throw my hat in the ring, by law I’m considered ineligible to run since I’m not exactly from around here. I'm just thankful the good American people continue to support me and the entire Justice League, even after I officially renounced my citizenship."
  21.
  22. “I’m sure you have a life outside of saving the world, the people want to know: do you enjoy life better with the cape on or when you’re indulging in the simpler things?”
  23.
  24. "You know it's quite the toss up, but I’d have to say wearing the cape is how I enjoy my time. Not only am I able to use what powers I have in order to keep as many people as I can safe. But you'd be surprised how beautiful the world looks when you're circling it a dozen times a day. Rolling mountains, dense forests, and sprawling hillsides that remain a mystery to the world below. To me Miss Lane, those are the simple things."
  25.
  26. “I had no Idea you were such a poet.” Quick pause. “What do you enjoy doing in the little free time that you have?”
  27.
  28. "Well recently I’ve been spending at least one day a week lending a hand to local farmers and laborers in countries overseas that have been stricken by natural disasters or war. It's horrible to see good hard-working people suffer so heavily from a force beyond their control. So, I’ll happily chip in if they allow it."
  29.
  30. “This was a popular question request. Mainly from the ladies: just how often do you use that handy x-ray vision of yours?”
  31.
  32. Nervous laughter "I always knew this question would pop up sooner or later during my time with the public. But I assure you Miss Lane that your female fans have absolutely nothing to worry about. Believe me, the ‘Boy Scout’ moniker that I’ve been given rings very true."
  33.
  34.
  35. “Why do you choose to stay out of wars? You must know you could end them all in a day..but you choose not to.”
  36.
  37. "Well as a field reporter, I’m sure you're aware that war involves so much more than simple firepower. Often aspects of the political, economic, and religious nature between warring countries come into play. This ties in very heavily as to why I surrendered my citizenship. In my earlier years it was often seen as an American imposed threat when Superman entered the fray. And while I continue to represent the United States, I also stand behind everyone and anyone who needs my help. Involving myself in their wars and conflicts would be extremely irresponsible of me. I'll step in when the wrong people start getting hurt, but beyond that I simply have no right to interfere.”
  38.
  39. “Is the suit as uncomfortable as it looks?”
  40.
  41. "Not at all! I've made a few costume changes over the years to help a developing tech company or two. But my suits have never been an issue for me."
  42.
  43. “What is your favorite thing about planet earth..and you can’t say ‘the people’”
  44.
  45. "Actually, as much as I care for the people of Earth, it's the culture and diversity itself that really stand out to me. I've learned that on my home planet of Krypton, there really weren't too many of us to begin with, and we weren't all that different. But since arriving on Earth and exploring her surface, I’ve met and spoken with countless people with entirely different backgrounds. It's also very interesting to visit different parts of the world and see what they have to say about myself and my friends in the Justice League. Not to mention the shocked look on their faces when they find out how fast I can learn the language."
  46.
  47. “Are you seeing anyone right now?”
  48. "Well my apologies in advance for such a boring answer, but no. With all the work I do and how often I’m away from Metropolis, it wouldn't be fair to hold up someone's life just so they can wait for me to come back. And were their identity ever to be revealed, I’d never be able to stop worrying for their safety."
  49.
  50.
  51.
  52. “Alright this is the last one. And this wasn’t requested but I know the world wants to know. What made you decide to use your powers for good? You are basically a god and could completely control the planet and many others. But you choose not to. Why?”
  53.
  54. "I've seen what that kind of thinking creates, Miss Lane, and I decided a long time ago that I would never see that happen because of me. The fear and hatred born from powerful tyrants enforcing their will upon other people only leads to the next tyrant rising and taking their place. And I’ve even been told by critics that despite my efforts, I’m not making enough of a difference all things considered. I'm not ignorant to how powerful I am. But I’m also not self-centered or think so highly of myself that I have any right to abuse the gifts I’ve been given. People deserve freedom and the chance to live their lives as best they can. Do I agree with every decision they make? No. But that doesn't mean I won't spend every breath I have ensuring they have the opportunity to make those choices and express themselves in a way proves what we're doing, not just the Justice League but every superhero, is worth it."
  55.
  56. “Wow, this is all so fantastic. I honestly didn’t think Id be able to get through all the questions. But I’m sure the city will need you again soon and there is a mob of fans waiting outside for you, so I’ll let you get going. Superman thank you again for being on the very first episode of Stay in your Lane.
  57. Lois Lane signing off, till next time world.”
