     ﻬ ARI(E)- arsene is about a lot of things (this is false) but one thing (among literally everything) that he can’t stand is his name. it’s absolutely hideous and he’s sure his stepmom did it just to curse him from being a little shit growing up (his logic is quite flawed but he was never the brightest crayon in the box). he would always groan at having his name called and begged for it to be changed but both of them were stubborn sons of guns and they just agreed to call him ARI(E). it was not much better but arsene knows when not to challenge miss oliver anymore.

☽ arsene never really met his fatheer in the way one would think a father-son reunion would be. it wasn’t like he was torn up about not having his dad (he was) or like he wondered what made him so horrible that his mother hated him enough to beat him and his father didn’t even bother to try to make it work (he did). so when that day came, or when he got the closest he could get to it, he clocked his dad right in his jaw and refused to speak to him. as stupid as it was (and it was very stupid), he didn’t regret it. his father never visited after that and if he did he stayed hidden or only sent messages through various ways that arsene thought were supposed to be endearing (him getting random free things by winning competitions he never entered with a letter or even just people telling things he knew had to be from his father). he never made the effort to call on him and he never responded to the few and far between calls to him. if he wasn’t there when he was needed then arsene didn’t want him at all and that was that. of course he knew the Gods couldn’t be there all the time for their kids and he didn’t expect that. it’s just hard for him to just get rid of what he spent years crying and forcing himself but to believe - that his father didn’t want to be with him. that’s a lot easier to digest anyway, for him at least.

☽ while anne marie isn’t well versed in the world of the Gods as she wasn’t the one to birth arsene but his real mother, if one could call her that, myunghee was positively obsessed when she found out she would give birth to a demigod. she worshipped thanatos or doyun as she previously knew him, the type to feel like she suddenly had a purpose now that a God had given her mere minutes of attention. once she discovered her son was not some prophesied legend and that she’s herself was definitely not destined for anything other than what she had - nothing at all - she became enraged and dropped her beliefs like they weren’t previously her world. never again did she pray to thanatos or any of the other Gods. anne marie, as she’s most certainly isn’t an expert in raising demigods, doesn’t have much of a relationship with thanatos however the two have had meetings without arsene’s knowledge, her simply being warned of danger and of how she’s must help him with his abilities or they’d will find a way to get out of control. though she has no idea what it means she doesn’t dare challenge a god on how to raise his son.

     ﻬ OLIVER - this was really not his first choice, not even a single one of his choices. for one, it isn’t even a cool name like some of the members have nor is it even his first name. it just came from his popular nickname ollie, his manager figuring that he’s known for that name anyway so might as well make it his stage name. he wasn’t the happiest duck that day but xin definitely made it much better by comforting him (he refuses to admit it but he was sulking for a week over it).
