- The SFU Computing Science Student Society will be hosting a tournament for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Saturday, July 3rd, at 5 pm and continuing into the following day. Signups for the tournament will close on Thursday, June 30th 11:59PM.

- Sign up:
- • The tournament is open to anyone with a valid SFU email.
- • You must sign up with a premade group of at least 5 people. If you can’t find enough people, we recommend searching at the #gaming channel at our discord server at discord.gg/sfucsss.
- • No player is allowed to play for multiple teams.
- • You are allowed to register an extra 6th player on your team. You are not allowed to have more than 6 players per team.
- • All communication with the organizers will be held over Discord. We ask that every participant have a discord account. If you do not have a discord account, please follow this guide: https://bit.ly/38FNwXd

- In Game - General:
- • The map that will be played will be determined by agreement by both teams. In the case that no agreement can be made, each team will declare one map of their choice and the organizer will randomly choose a map between them.
- • Starting sides will also be determined by the same method.
- • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team or player who is suspected of cheating in any manner, participating in unsportsmanlike behavior, as well as any behavior deemed as inappropriate by the organizer’s sole discretion.

- In Game - Day One:
- • The preliminary rounds will be played in a Single Elimination format.
- • For the preliminary rounds, each team is responsible for setting up a match with the opposing team.
- • The preliminary matches will all occur concurrently on the first day and will not be streamed.

- In Game- Day Two:
- • Games will be played in a Best of Three format.
- • Matches will be played based on a predetermined schedule and will be streamed on twitch.tv/sfucsss.
- • All players are expected to be available for the entire duration of the second day's proceedings.
- • If a team is encountering issues, the team may ask that their match be delayed to a later time. Requests for delays will only be considered if they are requested well ahead of the match (up to the organizers’ discretion).
