Adam death

As I’d hit him, I’d shifted around to try and put him between me and Eve. That saved me because she had one of the two fallen pistols. She brought it up fast and shot from the hip, but I shoved Adam toward her.

Her bullet took him in the mouth.

The big hollow-point exploded his white teeth and shredded his lips and blew a hole the size of an apple out of the back of his skull. Blond hair, pieces of bone, gray brains, and bright red blood splashed my thigh and hips as the slug exited and burned past me.
