  24. [9:26pm] Alivi: Corbette pulls out a clipboard, "Anyways," He says clearing his throat. "We have activity reports from within the pool. Data is coming back showing extremely low temperatures well below freezing."

  32. [9:28pm] CHolt: Crom checks his weapons and then walks to the sub.
  33. [9:29pm] ShockwaveLover: He chuckles.
  34. [9:29pm] Proto_Lost: "I should've packed some whisky for our hot-blooded aussie then." He laughs a bit, then enters the sub after Crom.
  35. [9:30pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan brings up the rear, and waves to Corbette. "Did you want us to bring you back anything? Souvenir T-shirt?"
  36. [9:30pm] Alivi: "Get the fuck going."
  37. [9:30pm] ShockwaveLover: "Right, crappy cheap mug it is."
  38. [9:30pm] ShockwaveLover: He shuts the hatch.
  39. [9:31pm] CHolt: "So, who's driving this sub?"
  40. [9:31pm] Alivi: Corbette rolls his eyes, Meanwhile it isn't long before the sub starts it's descent into the pool.

  42. [9:32pm] ShockwaveLover: "It just needs to go down, after all."
  43. [9:32pm] CHolt: "True."
  44. [9:32pm] Alivi: The sub goes down.
  45. [9:33pm] CHolt: "You think we're going to Hoth this time?"
  46. [9:33pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan starts humming 'Yellow Submarine'.

  51. [9:35pm] Alivi: All of a sudden there is a violent jolt and the sound of scraping.

  55. [9:35pm] ShockwaveLover: Ducan is cut off in mid-sentence by the pressing need to grab something.
  56. [9:36pm] Alivi: The scraping continues for a while until a loud crack, the sub is still. Looks like it has surfaced.
  57. [9:36pm] ShockwaveLover: "Yeah. I don't feel like drowning in a tin can." He gets up, and heads for the display console up the front.
  58. [9:36pm] CHolt: Crom starts mumbling under his breath, seemingly praying. He gets up and prepares his UMP45.
  59. [9:37pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan takes a look at the sensors. What's their depth reading?
  60. [9:37pm] Proto_Lost: "What do you see Dunk?"
  61. [9:37pm] Alivi: It's surfaced.
  62. [9:37pm] ShockwaveLover: "Gimme a sec. Take a look out the porthole if you want a view."
  63. [9:37pm] Alivi: Sorta.
  64. [9:37pm] ShockwaveLover: Define 'sorta'.
  65. [9:37pm] Proto_Lost: Simon peers out of a porthole.
  66. [9:38pm] Alivi: It seems that only part of the sub was able to get above the water, it is partly submerged still. Simon would notice the water is a murky grey.
  67. [9:38pm] ShockwaveLover: Which bit is above water?
  68. [9:39pm] Alivi: Upper half. The hatch is included in this.
  69. [9:39pm] ShockwaveLover: He checks the other displays. Oxygen content, radiation, gravity etc.
  70. [9:39pm] Alivi: Oxygen is normal, Gravity normal, Radiation is normal levels. Everything looks like it would normally be on earth.
  71. [9:39pm] Proto_Lost: "...Shit, looks like we're in tundra waters. We're half in the water, half out of it."
  72. [9:39pm] ShockwaveLover: "How's the hatch?"
  73. [9:40pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan is still examining the displays.
  74. [9:40pm] CHolt: "Welcome to Hoth, I guess."
  75. [9:41pm] CHolt: Crom gets up and decides to see if he can pick up any radio frequencies. Does he hear anything?
  76. [9:41pm] ShockwaveLover: "Huh...looks to be earth normal." He turns to Simon. "Want to pop us open?"
  77. [9:41pm] Proto_Lost: Simon moves away from the porthole. "Sure thing...just be prepared for cold."
  78. [9:41pm] Alivi: No frequencies at all.
  79. [9:42pm] Proto_Lost: He heads over to the hatch, climbs up, and pushes it open.
  80. [9:42pm] ShockwaveLover: He fishes out his big jacket from his webbing, and slips it on.
  81. [9:43pm] CHolt: Crom hears only static. He unfolds a long black wool coat, and puts it on. He prepares to disembark.
  82. [9:43pm] CHolt: "You guys ready to see an AT-AT in action?"
  83. [9:43pm] ShockwaveLover: "Only if I'm piloting a snowspeeder."
  84. [9:44pm] ShockwaveLover: "What've we got out there, Simon?"
  85. [9:44pm] CHolt: "I've got dibs on weapons."
  86. [9:44pm] Proto_Lost: Simon's only got his bulky tactical suit on...he's never prepared for these things. "Will you two geeks quit nerding out and get here?"
  87. [9:44pm] ShockwaveLover: "The weapons guy was the one who got killed."
  88. [9:45pm] CHolt: Crom puts on a pair of sunshades to protect against any glaring. "Oh yeah... cancel those dibs." He pulls himself out of the sub.
  89. [9:45pm] ShockwaveLover: Chuckling, the tall security agent starts up the ladder.
  90. [9:46pm] Proto_Lost: Simon's already out, surveying his surroundings...what does he see?
  91. [9:46pm] ShockwaveLover: Reaching the top, he hoists himself up on to the sub, then shuts the hatch.
  92. [9:48pm] Alivi: It is sunset, they appear to be on ice. The sub has already cracked it quite a bit. Ahead quite a ways away, is a snow covered forest. The land is draped with snow. It is very cold already, the sun casts strange shadows over the hushed landscape. With every breath you take you can see it cloud in the air.
  93. [9:49pm] Proto_Lost: The cold air hurts his chest when he breathes in.
  94. [9:50pm] ShockwaveLover: "Damn, that's a bit nippy."
  95. [9:50pm] CHolt: Crom shivers a bit. "Looks like Greenland, maybe."

  97. [9:50pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan reaches down and opens up an exterior panel.

  106. [9:51pm] ShockwaveLover: He flicks a few switches, and the exterior lights on the sub blaze to life.
  107. [9:51pm] Alivi: It seems strong for now.
  108. [9:52pm] CHolt: Crom starts feeling twitchy and looking out of the corner of his eye. He's not acting normal.
  109. [9:52pm] Proto_Lost: He stands back up. "Alright kids, we should try and cross this ice before it gives...I don't want to be caught out on the open ice after dark."
  110. [9:52pm] ShockwaveLover: "Yeah...I just put the lights on so we can find our way back."
  111. [9:53pm] CHolt: Crom looks back at the sub. "Agreed. I don't like the feel of this place."
  112. [9:53pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan shuts the panel and starts clambering down to the ice.
  113. [9:53pm] CHolt: Crom flips the safety off of his UMP45.
  114. [9:53pm] Alivi: Perception again.
  115. [9:53pm] Proto_Lost: Simon slides down the side of the sub until his feet hit the ice.

  129. [9:55pm] CHolt: Crom aims his UMP45. "Anyone bring a thermal imager?"
  130. [9:55pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan flicks on his tactical light, and aims it at the shapes.
  131. [9:55pm] Alivi: As if in answer to Simon's wishes. A long howl rises above the air. It is still sunset you can still see just saying.
  132. [9:55pm] Proto_Lost: Simon sighs. "I had to say it."
  133. [9:56pm] CHolt: "Great... wolves. Hopefully they aren't mutant wolves or something."
  134. [9:57pm] Alivi: One of the shapes comes closer, it appears to be a good sized wolf. It is staring at the group.
  135. [9:57pm] Proto_Lost: "Crom, if you don't shut up these things might actually turn into mutant wolve- Ah shit."
  136. [9:57pm] ShockwaveLover: "Alright. Let's start moving. Maybe they won't follow us."
  137. [9:57pm] Alivi: The other two pad up behind it.
  138. [9:57pm] CHolt: "[YAKHARB BAITUN] (Mess up their house! A deep Arabic insult.)"
  139. [9:58pm] Alivi: They are staring at them, at Crom's words one of them growls.
  140. [9:58pm] Proto_Lost: "You show it your back you turn into prey. You're better off showing you're fiercer than them."
  141. [9:58pm] Proto_Lost: Simon hasn't taken his eyes off the lead one.
  142. [9:58pm] Alivi: The lead one is still staring at Simon, it has blue eyes.
  143. [9:58pm] ShockwaveLover: "I'm not saying we run. But they're in their element here."
  144. [9:58pm] ShockwaveLover: "This is their home. And we're trespassing."
  145. [9:59pm] CHolt: Crom aims at one of the companions. "This is somewhat reassuring, this means we're probably somewhere on Earth..." He tries to look at one better. Can he see something unusual?
  146. [9:59pm] Proto_Lost: Simon gives this some thought. "...Alright, that makes sense."
  147. [9:59pm] Proto_Lost: He tests Duncan's theory by moving a bit toward the snow-covered forest in the distance.
  148. [9:59pm] Alivi: The lead wolf looks at Crom aiming the weapon. It growls and gives a threatening bark.
  149. [10:00pm] ShockwaveLover: "So what I suggest is, we just start heading for those woods. Don't face away from them, or show fear, but don't antagonise them."
  150. [10:00pm] Proto_Lost: "The both of you, lower your weapons...we're trying to get out of here."
  151. [10:00pm] Alivi: The leader throws it's head back and lets out a long howl.
  152. [10:00pm] CHolt: "Agreed. These are giving me the creeps." Crom lowers his weapon a bit.
  153. [10:00pm] Proto_Lost: "Fuck."
  154. [10:00pm] ShockwaveLover: Duncan does so, and starts walking.
  155. [10:00pm] ShockwaveLover: "Just keep going."
  156. [10:01pm] Alivi: There is a pause. And soon another howl from far away answers the leader back.
  157. [10:01pm] ShockwaveLover: "Don't suppose they speak English, by any chance?"
  158. [10:01pm] CHolt: Crom clenches the grip on his UMP45 and walks along with Duncan.
  159. [10:01pm] Proto_Lost: Simon walks toward the forest after Duncan, not taking his eyes off the lead wolf.
  160. [10:01pm] Proto_Lost: "Goddammit."
  161. [10:01pm] CHolt: "Hope not. We're already in deep trouble."
  162. [10:01pm] Alivi: The leader growls and barks they seem to be communicating, they start advancing towards the poolboys.
  163. [10:01pm] ShockwaveLover: "Guessing we're either getting handed off to another pack, or that was the cavalry."
  164. [10:02pm] Proto_Lost: "SO what do you suggest Dunk? Take care of these pups first?"
  165. [10:02pm] ShockwaveLover: "Just..hang on..." Duncan looks at the 'leader'. "These guys seem a bit more intelligent than your average wolf. Did you hear one of them bark at Crom, before?"

  824. [01:06am] ShockwaveLover: Stone and ice crunches as he advances.
  825. [01:06am] Alivi: Eventually the cave opens up to a wide room area. There are three wolves, two normal looking ones and one giant wolf. This giant wolve's mane is streaked with silver colored fur.
  826. [01:07am] Proto_Lost: Simon's cradling his frost(wolf?)bitten arm, he's far too busy swearing at the snow and ice to ready his gun.
  827. [01:07am] CHolt: "Aggh, what. We're in their den."
  828. [01:07am] ShockwaveLover: He lowers his rifle.
  829. [01:07am] Alivi: "And so the prey comes to us…" The large one says.
  830. [01:07am] Proto_Lost: Once he spots the big one though, he makes for his gun, but stops when Duncan lowers his.
  831. [01:08am] CHolt: "It just freaking spoke."
  832. [01:08am] ShockwaveLover: "And you're surprised?" He turns to the large wolf. "Prey?"
  833. [01:08am] Alivi: It's voice is deep, old, it has a gravel like undertone to it. Seems not unlike a father or a leader.
  834. [01:08am] Proto_Lost: "No shit Crom, now look for anything we can kill it with." Simon whispers to Crom.
  835. [01:09am] Alivi: "My pack has been crying through the night… we've been watching you."
  836. [01:09am] Alivi: e
  837. [01:09am] CHolt: "Why have you?"
  838. [01:09am] ShockwaveLover: "We met some of them. They attacked us."
  839. [01:09am] Proto_Lost: "Even though we tried a peaceful method."

  841. [01:10am] Alivi: "Those were mine… however we hunt as we will… this is our home. If we sense weakness… we shall chase it."
  842. [01:10am] Alivi: The two wolves flanking the larger alpha male growl at Crom.
  843. [01:10am] CHolt: Crom whispers to Proto. "3 against 3. I think our odds are ok if pressed."
  844. [01:10am] ShockwaveLover: "We are not weak. As your scouts found out to their cost."
  845. [01:10am] Proto_Lost: "Weakness?" Simon moves past Crom. "Do I look fucking weak to you?"

  847. [01:13am] Alivi: One of the wolves miss, however the second launches itself at him and bites down on his leg -1 body Crom
  848. [01:13am] Alivi: "I never said you two were the weak ones."

  852. [01:14am] Proto_Lost: Simon aims his gun at the one on Crom's leg. "Fair enough, now tell your guards to let go of the boy before I start showing you who's weak in here."

  954. [01:47am] Proto_Lost: "Agreed...you don't think Old Yeller back there was sitting on another way out of here? He is a pack leader after all, I doubt he'd have only one means of leaving this place."

  1020. [02:23am] ShockwaveLover: Duncan dashes over. "Christ almighty!"
  1021. [02:23am] CHolt: Crom is still in the passageway.
  1022. [02:23am] Alivi: And the blue lights of the cave seem to get brighter.
  1023. [02:23am] ShockwaveLover: "Hang on, Simon. just hang on!"
  1024. [02:23am] Proto_Lost: "...W-why the fuck is it getting colder?"
  1025. [02:23am] CHolt: He's not sure if the combat just ended.
  1026. [02:23am] CHolt: "Guys, did you guys kill the dog?"
  1027. [02:24am] Alivi: Everyone passes out.
  1028. [02:24am] ShockwaveLover: "Yeah. Sim-"
  1029. [02:24am] Proto_Lost: Simon fights a bit, but succumbs in the end
  1030. [02:24am] CHolt: Crom feels oddly relaxed as he passes out.
  1031. [02:25am] Alivi: You all wake up on the shores of the red pool. Snow is gently falling down around them.
  1032. [02:25am] CHolt: Crom wakes up. "Huh.... anyone hear me?"
