Wounded (Just Like Me)

The darkness ahead, the dreams are all void.
The cold, black, empty surroundings, destroyed.
The lone life, lost and listless. I have no friends...
The harsh hate hurls me hellbound. Emotion spends.

The living shadows cast by my dead lights.
The clowns are silent at last. Stunned in fright.
The worthless thoughts unfolding, encompass me...
With hopeless words that serve as...my poetry...

The cancers keep on growing, deep inside!
Abyss and torment, burning me alive!
The numbness spreads like venom from its fangs.
The phone forever off the hook never rang.

Blood flowing, not showing.
All wounded, just like me.
Life screams of dead dreams,
all wounded, just like me.
