Revision cloud tool

Make the review and revision process simpler and more efficient by using the Cloud command to create revision clouds. Revision clouds are used in CAD drawings to highlight areas that require or contain revisions. Drawing areas can be accentuated with specific shapes such as rectangular, elliptical and freehand Clouds. In addition, you can also set the specific layer for a Cloud, the line color, line style and line weight, and also adjust the radius of the sequential arcs of Clouds.
DGN Underlay

DGN files originate from MicroStation or other CAD software and you can then specify layer visibility of a DGN Underlay that is a referenced DGN file in a drawing. In addition, you can attach, clip boundaries, layer and detach underlays from current drawings. The underlay functionality allows you to display only part of a DGN Underlay since the entity is clipped at a boundary you create or specify.
In-place TEXT editing

CorelCAD now enables text editing right on the screen instead of using a separate dialog for editing text in CAD drawings. This functionality mimics text editing in CorelDRAW and other graphics software applications. With in-place editing, you can modify the definitions of Components, which are Block definitions or referenced drawings in the current drawing known as Elements. For efficiency, the Component instances in the drawing show the changes in real time.
Automation capabilities

    VSTA (Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications) improvements: The VSTA Manager toolbar allows you to record, edit and run VSTA macros, which enable you to perform repetitive tasks and automate command sequences. Create unique macros using the built-in features of VSTA. The standard macros are created with VSTA’s built-in features, and to create advanced macros you can use the integrated development environment. Best of all, you don’t need programming experience to use macros.
    Continued LISP: Take advantage of innovative support for continued lisp commands. CorelCAD supports LISP routines so you can leverage existing custom solutions. The continued LISP support can be leveraged for use with CorelCAD and avoids extra programming steps. Users familiar with LISP in other CAD applications will find CorelCAD programming just as easy to master since it supports the same structure.

ExplodeX command

The ExplodeX command will convert Ellipses and Splines into Polylines. This command is particularly beneficial in preparing drawings to export to other software applications or devices that don’t support Ellipses or Splines, such as legacy engraving devices. Additionally, you can choose the Explode command to explode other complex entities like Blocks.
