- #Kirbin vs Corv
- ###Sabretooth vs Luffy
- ##Corvette win.
- ###Sonic vs Major
- I basically agree that this is functionally a draw but I think it's a draw where Sonic is cleanly favored for a few definitive reasons.
- - I buy Sonic basically being partially incompetent. However, I do not buy him being so grossly incompetent that he spawns into a raining forest and tries to strike a conversation, especially when basically every antifeat is like. Comic book superhero type interactions. I don't think talking to a group of fodder humans is necessarily a good example of "will not try to attack relatively quickly in ostensibly a life or death arena battle." I'm aware that some amount of this is a personal bias to an overexposure of characterization arguments, but I think it's entirely fair to say Sonic starts moving at +/- .2-.5 Mach after a few reaction periods. If he can't just generally move at Mach speed, I think calling it half that still functionally equates to "Sonic can hit Major's position in almost no time relative to her."
- - Sonic would have to specifically spot her, but with them being on a straight line of each other, essentially, I believe that Major still cloaking, "reacting" or moving would be enough to give Sonic an idea of Major's location, if an extremely tentative one. His senses Aren't Good but he also has about fifty times as much of a reaction period to reasonably do so.
- Major absolutely cannot escape combat from SoSS, so if this occurs, I think she just dies. If he can't detect her at all (not unlikely) then they enter a nebulous draw state. I think that Major is clearly way more stealthy, but she is fairly loud just in moving, and trees and underbrush are not the best environment for going undetected while setting herself up for a position to kill. I think Major can track faster targets than Sonic, but Sonic doesn't usually go around in bullet tier straight lines (inb4 saitama feat.) So I'm not convinced that Major can super reliably set up a sniping position where Sonic isn't moving like, a hundred meters out of the shot every 50 ms. I'd also add that him moving between trees is bad for lining up a shot, and something he does without having to consciously do it
- A couple of extra points that don't super matter or ended up being questionable, or weren't actually like. argued. maybe implied.
- - I think Sonic is probably fast enough to react to getting shot and turn a lethal shot into a grievous one. However he doesn't have any sort of endurance feats for this to really factor in my head much beyond a potential "survives and hits back with Shurikens."
- - Sonic being supersonic or not is mostly irrelevant when basically every value it affects is being moved from like. 7 ms to 20 ms. Major generously can time her actions inside of sub 10 ms frames, but her travel speed is basically stone still compared to this. She also can't leave the ground without essentially locking herself to Sonic.
- - "Sonic cannot manuever in the air, yet movement via springing from surface to surface is a common move of his. If Sonic does this and places himself in a scenario where he's charging straight towards Major's line of fire, she's in an easy situation where she has a clear shot towards him and the most he can do to dodge is very limited movement." ngl he literally just cuts the bullet out of the air and killers her lol. but i don't think this situation ever happens.
- - major would imho clearly go invisible in any situation where her enemy isn't already close enough to kiss sorry gdt 8 tribunal ur tiering was fake
- - "Your argument that it's "a-tier metal" is just based on the robot suit's damage output and not what actual durability feat it has, because it has none." i feel like calling it anything below like, "A wrecking ball" is extremely fake, and I think Sonic would need literally subhuman strength to be unable to enact his win conditions when he has piercing weapons and Major is Just Metal but has muscular systems.
- - Major probably dies to explosive shurikens but I'm not convinced Sonic could track her at any reasonable distance
- Therefore, 50.1/100 times, Sonic wins every time.
- ###Shishio vs Nuke
- I'm giving Nuke the win on this for a combination of reasons.
- * Shishio's striking being comparable to a hit that removes Nuke from the fight works against Shishio.
- * I don't buy Nuke immediately gunning down Shishio. However, I also don't buy Shishio doing backflips through gunfire to run at Nuke at his top speed. Corv vaguely alluded to running out of ammo, and while Kirbin didn't super defend against this it's a giant minigun that is prominently used for a long while.
- * I do not think Shishio can do short term critical damage to Nuke without using melee (blunt) attacks.
- Therefore
- - Shishio must get into range of a shooting Nuke. This takes some amount of critical time.
- - Shishio must land a conjuction of critical hits that disable Nuke in some critical way. The sword lacks raw damage output, especially against someone who barely has flesh, and if either Nuke or Shishio land a hit on the other, you immediately go back to
- - Shishio must get into range of a shooting Nuke. This takes some amount of critical time.
- Except that Nuke suffers literally no penalty for the fight being drawn out as possible.
- I don't think the knife really matters but the justifications for Shishio withstanding it are just fake. Like yea bullets aren't sharp but c'mon. The energy of physically launching a person hard enough to break concrete is like, if the gun was literally shooting jello and marshmallows with that energy it would pierce.
- I don't think Nuke's speed as argued is good enough that the Kenshin scaling whatever is enough to actually influence the match because I don't think Nuke and Shishio were every strongly compared in speed beyond "Nuke likes to unga and they can probably tag each other."
- Nuke wins the majority by fighting longly.
- ###Corvette Wins 2-1.
