  1. 06[19:50] * Altea finishes packing up her rucksack in the common area. She and Marcus have THINGS to do so they can actually pass their class, and with the pirate threat dealt with for now, it's as good a time as any.
  2. [19:53] <Ikiryo> Marcus does the same, a half-asleep bat holding onto his shoulder as he packs food and water into a backpack. "Not going to invite any of the others?" He smiles at Altea
  3. 01[19:54] <Altea> "They've got other stuff to do for this assignment, I figure we can do this much to make it easier."
  4. 01[19:54] <Altea> "Got everything you need?"
  5. [19:54] <Ikiryo> He nods "I'm pretty sure, yeah." He stands up, stretching a bit before he picks up the backpack. "You?"
  6. 01[20:03] <Altea> "I think so! Let's go."
  7. [20:06] <Ikiryo> He nods...and leans over to give her a peck on the lips. "Just us will be fun."
  8. 06[20:09] * Altea smiles. "Yep! So, let's get going and I'll check our exact assignment on the way."
  9. [20:09] <Ikiryo> He nods and leads on out into the forest...
  10. 06[20:10] * Altea stays close, taking in the sights of the area.
  11. [20:13] <Ikiryo> The deep green forest is mostly quiet save for the rustle of small wildlife out of sight. Unlike the last few days there is no sounds of combat, just the animals and the wind through the thick green canopy...
  12. 01[20:19] <Altea> "This is pretty nice. There's nothing like this back home."
  13. [20:20] <Ikiryo> "There is little shrubs and bushland...but yeah. Nothing quite this big." He nods "You could hide a giant in this forest."
  14. 01[20:20] <Altea> "I know...do you think there are any here?"
  15. [20:21] <Ikiryo> He pauses. "I have no clue. I never looked up any local stories on them. Maybe?"
  16. 01[20:25] <Altea> "Hmm, guess we should keep our eyes out then!"
  17. [20:26] <Ikiryo> He nods "I suppose so. What do the teachers want us to look over today?"
  18. 01[20:26] <Altea> "Let me see..." She digs out the assignment she grabbed earlier.
  19. [20:29] <Ikiryo> They need to map the local area and catalog local fauna...
  20. 01[20:30] <Altea> "We gotta map the area and find some fawns."
  21. [20:31] <Ikiryo> "Fawns? I didn't know they were native to this planet." He shrugs "Alright."
  22. 01[20:32] <Altea> "So, how do we map stuff? I'm not great at drawing."
  23. [20:38] <Ikiryo> He calls up a blank AR display square. "I think we just locate landmarks and put them on a map? So people can use them to work out where they are." He marks a dot labeled 'Base'
  24. 01[20:39] <Altea> "Ok! So we keep our eyes out for good landmarks then."
  25. 01[20:46] <Altea> "Where should we start?"
  26. [20:47] <Ikiryo> He looks about. "...I have no clue." He gives her a grin. "You start, I already put down the base as a landmark."
  27. 01[20:47] <Altea> "Okay, let's go this way!" She goes off in a direction.
  28. [20:54] <Ikiryo> The forest gets thicker and thicker as they travel...but before long she does spot something interesting. A huge old tree, split in half by lightning...
  29. 01[20:54] <Altea> "This is cool looking!"
  30. 01[20:56] <Altea> "Think this is a good landmark?"
  31. [20:56] <Ikiryo> Marcus nods "Yeah...that tree must be ancient."
  32. 06[20:57] * Altea marks it on the AR!
  33. [20:58] <Ikiryo> "...you think we'd be able to spot more things from the top?" Despite the split, it looks rather sturdy still. Being as wide as a small house will do that.
  34. 01[20:59] <Altea> "That's a really good idea! I'm gonna do it."
  35. 06[20:59] * Altea tosses the backpack and gets to climbing!
  36. [21:05] <Ikiryo> Marcus joins her, doing his usual trick to change what direction gravity is working on him and walking up...
  37. 06[21:07] * Altea uses her mighty strength to support herself even when needing to haul herself up with one or fewer arms.

  39. [21:08] <Ikiryo> It takes several minutes to climb the tree, the pair finding themselves a several dozen meters above the ground...
  40. [21:08] <Ikiryo> While this tree is taller than almost all they can see, there are several more of nearly the same height in sight...
  41. 01[21:09] <Altea> "Wow, there are a lot of these!"
  42. [21:10] <Ikiryo> He nods. "The trees on this planet are huge."
  43. [21:10] <Ikiryo> Jules grumples wordlessly and covers her head from the direct sunlight
  44. 01[21:11] <Altea> "Well, I guess those are our next destinations."
  45. [21:13] <Ikiryo> He nods, marking them on the map. "They make good landmarks."
  46. 01[21:14] <Altea> "Yeah, though they're hard to see when you're in the forest itself."
  47. [21:14] <Ikiryo> "...right. I have no clue if we are marking this for people flying or walking."
  48. 01[21:15] <Altea> "WEll, that direction is covered. Guess we should go a different way for some more."
  49. [21:18] <Ikiryo> He nods "Maybe towards that river?" He points off in a direction towards a wide river snaking it's way through the forest...
  50. 01[21:20] <Altea> "Sure!" She climbs back down and gets moving in that direction.
  51. [21:21] <Ikiryo> He slids down the side of the tree to join her and follows through the forest. "I wonder if a planet like this could have giants. Wouldn't they knock all the trees down?"
  52. 01[21:22] <Altea> "Maybe."
  53. 01[21:28] <Altea> "Okay, so, river was this way?"
  54. [21:32] <Ikiryo> "I think so?"
  55. 01[21:33] <Altea> "Let's go then!"
  56. [22:22] <Ikiryo> They get a bit lost but eventually find themselves on the banks of a crystal clear river...
  57. 01[22:27] <Altea> "Wow, this is pretty!"
  58. [22:32] <Ikiryo> He nods. "Yeah. It's a lot nicer than Mid Childa. I mean...it's much more real feeling."
  59. 01[22:33] <Altea> "Yeah." She sits down.
  60. [22:34] <Ikiryo> He sits down next to her...and gives her a hug.
  61. 06[22:37] * Altea hugs back...and tackles him playfully to the ground.
  62. 06[22:38] * Ikiryo playfully tries to push her off, without much effect as he grins up at her. Jules rolls her eyes and flaps off for a bit.
  63. 06[22:44] * Altea just lays down, arm over his chest and face tilted towards him. "This is nice."
  64. [22:45] <Ikiryo> He smiles up at her. "It is~" He leans up to kiss her...
  65. 06[22:50] * Altea kisses back.
  66. [22:56] <Ikiryo> "I think I've found something even prettier~"
  67. 06[22:58] * Altea jumps up. "Really? Where at?"
  68. 06[22:58] * Ikiryo laughs. "I'll give you some hints. It's big."
  69. 01[22:58] <Altea> "Oh, the tree?"
  70. 01[22:58] <Altea> "It was a pretty nice tree."
  71. [22:59] <Ikiryo> "No, not the tree. It's strong~"
  72. 01[22:59] <Altea> "Are you sure it isn't the tree."
  73. [23:00] <Ikiryo> "I'm sure it's not the tree. The tree isn't anywhere near as pretty."
  74. 01[23:00] <Altea> "Hmm, big and strong..."
  75. 01[23:00] <Altea> "Give me another hint."
  76. [23:20] <Ikiryo> "Big and Strong and Brave~"
  77. 06[23:21] * Altea thinks, and she grins widely. "You saw a giant? Where at?"
  78. [23:21] <Ikiryo> "Right in front of me, idiot~" He laughs and pokes her.
  79. 06[23:22] * Altea thinks. "Ohhh, you meant me. Goin with the flattery tactic huh?"
  80. [23:24] <Ikiryo> "Trying, yes~"
  81. 06[23:25] * Altea re-tackles him. "Well, it's working."
  82. [23:29] <Ikiryo> He kisses her. "Good."
  83. 06[23:30] * Altea leans in for a longer kiss
  84. [23:31] <Ikiryo> He kisses her long and passionately...
