  6. When we make the report I was wondering, what will happen if a disaster happen and how would we coupe up if that would happen? How relevant this will be in the future when we are working? First, to aid the damage disaster have caused to a certain area we have four steps to manage disaster.
  7.
  8. Disaster management, so what is this? This can be defined as the organization and management of resources and responsibilities to deal with the emergencies that caused to all humanitarian aspect. So the importance of this is to properly distribute the resources to the right person to the right area so that it will be effective and efficient as possible.
  9.
  10. So how to manage disaster by lessening the impact of it and the trauma caused by it? There are four proper steps that should be followed in order to tame the disaster.
  11.
  12. One is Prevention/Mitigation, this is the first step the you should do before the impending disaster given that it is predicted before. The difference between prevention and mitigation is that Prevention will try to make the event not happen while mitigation is lessening the impact cause by the disaster as you can not prevent it the example for this is when the flood is rising you can save some valuables while the non-valuables will be swept away. Two is Disaster preparedness in which means the measures take to prep up for the disasters and to possible lessen the impact of the disaster further and to know what to do when the disaster itself occur. Three is Responding to Disaster, so in the event of the disaster some emergency response will come to help the people who are in need of help and to prevent death in certain situations. Four and lastly, Recovery occurs after the disaster in which the corresponding emergency response team will go beyond the provision of the immediate to assist the people who have suffered from the disaster and to attempt to return to normal and strengthen them to cope with the possible future disaster.
  13.
  14. Emergency Response Plan, so what is the deal with this? So when you are the emergency response unit who are responding to the people who are in stress when disaster occurs it is necessary to create a proper plan to respond to the call faster and effectively, there are 8 steps when creating an emergency response.
  15.
  16. Step one is establishing a planning team, this the first step of the plan in which you will need to build up a proper team that can complement each other to create a plan that can properly lead the team and the scope of the disaster. Step two review performance objectives, these objectives should include all aspects to the program that includes prevention, mitigation, proper emergency response and business continuity to get all the possibilities. Step three conducting risk assessment, A risk assessment is a process to identify potential hazards and analyze what could happen if a hazard occurs so in this you would estimate the possibility of the scenarios in the disaster that would happen and perform the proper counter measures. Step four review hazard or threat scenarios identified during the risk assessment, so you have assessed the threat or disaster you should pick the scenarios that would likely happen and the one has the most impact to the people while ignoring the small parts.
  17. Step five assess the availability and capabilities of resources for incident stabilization, so you have properly assessed the risk next is you need to see if you have the right amount of resources to properly execute the plan that was assessed. Step six review codes and regulations, you need to know these in order to know how and what not to do when you are planning since you have some minimum requirements for emergency management that you are bound with. Step seven Training Programs or train staffs for emergencies, this is essential to the emergency response unit that will risk there life to save others to ensure that they know what to do when there is an emergency that need to be dealt with. Step eight communication, after you have completed the proper procedure the last thing you would need to do is establish a proper communication to the people in need in order to execute the plan that you had earlier.
  18.
  19. The importance of this is either when the disaster happens or if you are assigned in an emergency response team you would know how and when to apply these studies and to be aware to all the possibilities that would occur if the said calamity hits you or someone near.
