  1. • >You were a c-class researcher at site xx. After several years of exemplary service in the research and study of anomalous entities, your overseers had given you an assignment of utmost importance.
  2. •
  3. • >the aforementioned assignment would entail the first attempt at communication with the euclid-class object known as scp-956, a small part of you grew apprehensive of your own safety, but you assured yourself that you had nothing to worry about, since the anomaly in question specifically targeted children.
  4. •
  5. • >with those thoughts of mortality free from your mind, you began to approach the area the anomaly in question was contained.
  6. •
  7. • >the reason for this experiment had been made readily apparent to you. Recently, scp-956 had been observed moving outside of testing, pacing around it's cell until it was facing in the direction of an elementary school located nearby. This was an astonishing development, as it was previously believed that the anomaly was an autonomous object that only moved when an individual that met it's activation requirement was in the immediate vicinity.
  8. •
  9. • >The head researchers had decided that this revelation would be sufficient to justify an attempt at communication with scp-956.
  10. • The interrogation was intended to be a civil one, but if the subject was not cooperative, more drastic methods would be employed to extract information.
  11. •
  12. • >You had just reached the area where scp-956 was being held. You took notice of the 2 armed men guarding the entrance, after a moment of apprehension, you decided to step inside.
  13. •
  14. • >When the door opened, the pink pinata was staring right in your direction. This gave you a brief moment of shock, but you kept your composure. If you were to falter right now, you would never get another opportunity to directly interact with an anomaly.
  15. •
  16. • >you took several steps towards the artificial equine, and noticed that it did not make any apparent response to your actions. It continued to stare in the same direction, seemingly in contempt.
  17. •
  18. • >taking note of it's silence. You graciously decided to initiate communication.
  19. •
  20. • [Hi there! How are you today?]
  21. •
  22. • >the pinata did not respond
  23. •
  24. • [Hello? Anybody in there?]
  25. •
  26. • >the pinata continued in its silence.
  27. •
  28. • [Alright, if you don't talk things aren't gonna be so peachy, you'll be taken out of this room, and the guys in the lab will put all 4 of your limbs in metal braces, and they'll stick things into your orifices, and believe me, they're really looking forward to that. So why don't you just talk so everything can come along smoothly.]
  29. •
  30. • >the silence continued.
  31. •
  32. • >with an exasperated sigh, you decided there was no point in continuing.
  33. •
  34. • >you were about to turn around when...
  35. •
  36. • {Human... If you must know, I am feeling very unwell.}
  37. •
  38. • >you nearly jumped at the sudden vocalization of the pinata. The way her face suddenly became animate was very unsettling. Fixed unmoving eyes suddenly became as fluid as any human's. You also noticed that she had a mouth, which was odd, since that area of its face was featureless just moments before.
  39. •
  40. • >the creature spoke in a recognizably feminine voice, sounding like a woman in her youth. You noticed what sounded like a spanish accent, but it wasn't very strong.
  41. •
  42. • >with a noticeable amount of bewilderment, You decided to continue with the interview.
  43. •
  44. • [Well I'm sorry to hear that, is there anything we could do to alleviate your pain?]
  45. •
  46. • >her response was swift, she answered practically the moment you finished your sentence.
  47. •
  48. • {No, the only thing that makes me happy is the domination of others, be it through violent or sexual means. Nothing else can make me happy, and keep in mind, I've tried}
  49. •
  50. • >You weren't expecting that kind of response, if you were being honest to yourself. With the knowledge of her temperament, you proceeded to the next question.
  51. •
  52. • [alright then, violence... Is that why you killed those children?]
  53. •
  54. • {Yes, tearing them apart has been the most pleasurable experience in my entire existence}
  55. •
  56. • >your brow raised slightly at that comment, but you kept your professional tone. She didn't seem to notice or care.
  57. •
  58. • [But why have you chosen children? Surely there are people out there who deserve to be torn apart]
  59. •
  60. • {Children are much more suitable targets, they have much more vivid minds and emotions. This is very important, since the fear of the child adds a succulent texture to the whole experience. It's like salting the meat. On the rare occasion that i've killed an adult, i found them to be quite unappetizing. Their minds are stiff and sterile, and their emotions are very subdued in comparison.}
  61. •
  62. • [Well, it's reassuring to know I'm not of interest to you]
  63. •
  64. • {Don't be so certain, friend.}
  65. •
  66. • >With that last comment of hers, your levels of stress began to rise. Surely your superiors wouldn't blame you for walking out after hearing that?
  67. •
  68. • [uh... Well thanks for deciding to speak up, but I must get going now. I hope we can continue this discussion some other time.]
  69. •
  70. • >with that, you hurriedly walked out of her chamber.
  71. •
  72. • END OF CHAPTER 1
