  1. A Softer Sun - Very small retexture for the sun.
  2. Armoured Ogres of Ferelden - Gives all Ogres some sweet armour.
  3. Blue Lyrium Dust - tiny mod that changes the lyrium dust icon from red to blue. The potions are blue, so...
  4. Bow Replacer - remodel of the standard bow model used in-game.
  5. Chantry of Ferelden - replaces the Chantry uniforms with those of the Kirkwall Chantry from Dragon Age 2.
  6. Dalishious 45 Real Skin Colours - expands the skin colour palette for your Warden. Is necessary for certain cosmetic mods.
  7. Complete Bi Overhaul - Fantastic mod which allows full bi compatibility, including all the love interests, minor NPCs, and everything. It even goes so far as to seamlessly edit the voice lines. Can't recommend this one enough.
  8. Dalls Dead and Undead - Retextures the undead monsters you fight in-game.
  9. Darkspawn Textures - retextures the, well, darkspawn.
  10. Desire Demon Covered Retexture - so the desire demons aren't just there with their tits out.
  11. DP DAO Additional Kid Clothing - So that every kid you encounter isn't wearing the same four sets of clothes.
  12. Dracomies True Textures - Can't remember what this one did, but it was required for another mod to work.
  13. Dragon Age II Merrill and Marethari - redesigns Merrill and Marethari to look as they do in DA2. Fantastic mod for immersion.
  14. Duncan's Armour Retexture - I believe this gives Duncan his own special set of Warden Armour.
  15. Elf Update - excellent mod which makes elves look like, well, elves, as opposed to little humans with slightly longer ears.
  16. Expanded Shale Talents - grants Shale an extra line or two of abilities to use. Makes them a lot more fun to take around.
  17. Faster Combat - this is my personal preference, but honestly, I'd never play the game again without it. Does nothing other than increase the attack speed of everyone in the game - yourself and enemies. Thank the gods.
  18. Faster Movespeed - well, yeah.
  19. arthmis's companion morphs - I really loved some of the companion morphs here. Remodels + retextures your companions.
  20. Ferelden Elves - goes hand in hand with the Elf Update to make elves look a crapton better than they did before.
  21. Forced Deathblows - this is a personal preference one, but you can increase the number of sweet deathblow animations you get. I love it.
  22. MADD Gift Guide - Has the companion's name in the description of each gift. Convenient, if you can't be bothered looking it up/guessing/memorising it.
  23. Gloves during the Joining - for some reason, in the joining, your warden doesn't wear their gloves. This fixes that.
  24. Grey Wardens of Ferelden - gives all Grey Wardens the GW armour from DA2. Fantastic for immersion!
  25. High Definition Eyebrows and Stubble - well, yeah. Swanky stubble, swanky brows.
  26. High Resolution Demon Textures - demons get to look Good now.
  27. Improved Atmosphere - this one is a bit of a nightmare to wrangle, but the benefits of having it are absolutely immense. I've wrangled this one several times over, so if you'd like any help with it, give me a buzz. I'd be happy to help! It fixes just about anything and everything. In a phrase, it really improves the atmosphere of the game. hehe.
  28. Improved Warden's Oath - Makes the amulet you get from the joining ceremony worthwhile to keep till lategame. Feels appropriate, story-wise.
  29. Increase Stack Size to 9999 - this is purely for convenience. Might be called a cheat, but honestly? Stacks of 99 are so small.
  30. Inquisition Hairstyles - Imports some of the Inquisition hairstyles. I think another mod depended on this one.
  31. Lady of the Forest - Bark Retexture - Gives the Lady of the Forest some privacy. Less tits hanging out, too.
  32. LOTC's Eyelash Textures - for those close-ups, so you can see every lash in high definition.
  33. Mages of Ferelden - Gives all mages much better outfits, and I believe the robes from DA2.
  34. Make Console Commands Visible - there's bug in the original game which makes console commands invisible. I know, I know, the console seems like cheating, but there's a ton of console commands which will enable you to continue the game if you encounter a game-breaking bug. It's really useful.
  35. Mercy Killing Tamlen - for the Dalish Elf Origin. It gives you the option to mercy-kill Tamlen, rather than fighting him.
  36. Morrigan Restoration Patch - oh good god, this is my favourite patch. It restores a ton of lost Morrigan content, and fixes a bunch of bugs with her. Absolutely a must-install mod.
  37. Mystery of the Missing Kaddis + Store - Restores some lost content, which allows you to buy kaddis and collars for your dog outside Orzammar.
  38. Noble Couslands of Ferelden - Replaces the Cousland's gear with some much better-looking stuff.
  39. Ogre Retexture - make Ogres Look Great Again.
  40. Pineappletree's Vibrant Colours - more colours for character customisation!
  41. Pixellated Shaders Begone - removes nasty pixellated shaders. Hell yeah.
  42. Practical Morrigan Robes - gives Morrigan some less revealing clothes that look thematically approriate, and still feel like something she might wear. Good stuff.
  43. Resized Shale - makes Shale a little bit bigger, for maximum Golem Impact.
  44. Sabrae Clan's Farewell to Tamlen - adds an additional cutscene to the Dalish Elf Origin, where the Sabrae Clan gives Tamlen a proper farewell as they do Mahariel.
  45. Shale Retexture - Shale! in 4k!
  46. Shale Will Come For Me - allows you to call on Shale to rescue you alongside other companions later in the game.
  47. SJC's Patchy Skin Fix - fixes a bug where some darker skins colour had a mismatched colour map, resulting in them looking patchy.
  48. SJC's Skins - more skin colours!
  49. Sleep Until Dawn - adds an option to sleep with your love interest or Mabari. Has a small, cute, sfw cutscene. When you wake up, the camp is in "morning" mode, with morning lights/shading, and the camp looking rather packed up.
  50. Tamlen's Floating Text Fix - fixes the text above Tamlen's head indicating what he is. Weird bug.
  51. Templars of Ferelden - gives Templars the DA2 templar armour - except greaves. There was a problem with that the modder couldn't get around. Not that you can see their feet, anyway.
  52. The Children's Closet - more clothes for kids!
  53. Theta HD - fantastic retexture of most environmental textures in the game.
  54. Alternate Colour Mabari - allows you to change the Mabari's colouring. There's a whole bunch of options, based on real dog colourings.
  55. Zevran Dialog Fix - this mod does more than what it says - it fixes a plethora of bugs. The Morrigan Restoration Patch also fixes a ton of these bugs, but not all.
  56. Qunari Patch - makes Qunari look like they do in DA2. Great for compatibility with later games.
  57. Advanced Tactics - improves the AI, so Alistair stops running off and dying.
  58. The Rescue at Ishal - an amazing cutscene added at the end of Ostagar. Awesome stuff tbh.
  59. Improved Dog Gifts - makes the Gifts you give to your Dog mean something, by buffing his stats.
  60. Extra Dog Slot - you've already got this one, I believe!
  61. Extra Dog Talents - like the Shale one above, gives your Dog more abilities to use.
  62. Kirkwall Exports - necessary for most of the mods above that important from DA2.
  63. Kossith Armoury - armour for Qunari!
  64. Mer's Storage - adds a storage chest to your camp. Super useful if you don't want to sell/use stuff but are running low on inventory space.
  65. No Helmet Hack - comestic mod which removes your helmet when out of combat. It will still add the extra armour buffs - just cosmetic.
  66. Quinn's Fixpack - a ton of bugfixes. So many. Make sure to get the one from the old Bioware website, and not the new one on the Nexus. Odd, I know, but the new one isn't compatible with any good mods.
  67. Skip the Fade - if you haven't played the game before and you wanna do it all, ignore this mod. However, the Fade is the longest, and worst section in the entire game. It's so boring. I hate it. StF gives you all the money/buffs/whatnot you'd get from being there, and you don't have to go through that hellscape. God bless.
  68. The Icons Package - gives everything in the game a unique + useful icon.
  69. Xatmos's Lock Bash - if you can't open a chest, you can bash the lock, at the cost of potentially losing some or all of the contents of the chest. A cool mod, with a downside, to make it feel less like a cheat, and more like a mechanic that should have been in place from the start.
  70. Reshade Shader - this isn't the name of a specific mod, but I'd recommend you check out this section of the Nexus, and pick out a shader you like. It'll much much improve the atmosphere of the game.
