  1.
  2. <Rosenkrantz_GM> IT IS THE 41ST MILLENIUM...
  3. <Rosenkrantz_GM> You walk through the gilded halls of the Praeliator Aurorae, the ancient and venerable flagship of the Dynasty. The voidship's "palace", as it is known among the crew and servants of the Dynasty, is stunning - for those of you who have walked these halls before, it is as though you're seeing it all for the first time again.
  4. <Rosenkrantz_GM> It is in stark contrast to the more spartan warship that is the Consequence. Luxury, and the projection of wealth and power is in full display here.
  5. * Baine_Mort (Baine_Mort@sux-9B1E62A4.sanbrunocable.com) has joined
  6. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Luxury Passenger Quarters are made available to you. For some, it is a matter of entering chambers which were once your home.
  7. <Rosenkrantz_GM> You are given time to recover from the ordeal you had to escape, as it takes several hours for the Aurorae to maneuver into a safe position among the reforming Imperial blockade.
  8. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Lord Wilhelm has asked you to join him in a Stateroom on the deck just above "whenever convenient."
  9. <Vivian> Vivian would be among the first to arrive to the stateroom. Settled in at a seat, she had a small cup of coffee in hand, looking a little rough, but otherwise fine. A sip of coffee later, she would busy herself with going over information on her dataslate, patiently waiting for the time being.
  10. * Makh_Chomun fits himself into his dress uniform, furs and all, though he's slow to go about it, even with the help of his assistant. Heavy thoughts weigh down on Makh's mind about the choices others have had to make for the continued survival of the Dynasty. It's not lost on him how much of a sacrifice was made to make it back to the Imperial fleet. "Weight of command." He comments to himself sourly. Sometime later he presents
  11. * Makh_Chomun himself, as requested to the Lord-Captain in his stateroom, his expression grim.
  12. * Baine_Mort get up from a nap he took after boarding the Aurorae, He takes a moment and looks out one of the windows inside his room, pondering for a moment before then making his way to the stateroom.
  13. * Neue-Ziel sits in his offices, deep within the Engineerium. He is constantly monitoring the activity onboard the ship.
  14. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The stateroom could just as easily be called the war room, for every surface is covered in maps and reports, the chambers full of military officers and liaisons in various uniforms denoting their station. From officers for the Armsmen, to liaisons from General Rellib's forces, to those coordinating on behalf of Commodore Grantt.
  15. * Baine_Mort enters the stateroom.
  16. * Makh_Chomun finds his usual place among the officers, standing a good head or more taller than most in the room.
  17. * Neue-Ziel screeches binary commands to the servitors before making his way to the war room.
  18. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Several salutes are shot your way by officers you haven't seen in years as you make it through the chambers to Lord Wilhelm's location. These men seem to think of you as heroes returning home.
  19. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Just how urgent is this?" Wilhelm asks one of the grey-green uniformed officers - a liaison of General Rellib.
  20. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm lifts a hand, before the man can respond, and greets you.
  21. * Makh_Chomun returns the salutes with his own, giving nods to others.
  22. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Lord-Protector, Master Mort. I am glad you could join us."
  23. <Makh_Chomun> "M'lord Captain." Makh bows his head in deference.
  24. <Baine_Mort> "Lord Captain," Mort also bows to Wilhelm, "What news do you have for us?"
  25. * Neue-Ziel checks over the data-slate for Lord-Admiral Wilhelm and enters the war room.
  26. <Neue-Ziel> "Greetings."
  27. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "It seems General Rellib's men have something to tell us," Wilhelm says with a nod to the officer.
  28. <Rosenkrantz_GM> As the man begins speaking, Wilhelm gives a gentle wave for Vivian to approach.
  29. * Vivian perks up slightly. Upon the gesture, she would make her approach.
  30. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Well, Admiral, eight hours ago the Orks begun an aggressive push on the General's center and left flanks."
  31. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "As you know, the Imperial Guard forces are spread thin as it is."
  32. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The officer points to a series of reconaissance images of the front.
  33. * Baine_Mort looks over to the images.
  34. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Caverns. They have poured out in numbers we couldn't have seen from aerial recon from caverns. We don't know how long they have been amassing their forces, but the General's forces are being overwhelmed."
  35. <Vivian> "We have fanatics.. Among others, just to the left flank of the General's forces. If that collapses, they'll be cut off."
  36. <Vivian> "It'd be more ideal to have them push and supplement the General's flank, if they're not already being assaulted."
  37. <Makh_Chomun> "Rock, hard place." Makh rubs his chin.
  38. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm nods, "Indeed. Major Tsavice of the Jannissaries reported that he would be advancing further into the Ranges to secure the base of the mountains from which to launch future assaults."
  39. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "My Lord, if I may interrupt..." a Dynastic aide speaks up.
  40. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Major Tsavice has indeed reported in. His message has just been decodified. It appears they are under heavy assault. If his observations are correct, his forces are outnumbered more greatly than even General Rellib's men."
  41. * Makh_Chomun quirks an eyebrow, he could smell a mission as it presented itself.
  42. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "They're not a proper fighting force. They will be crushed. We need an equalizer..."
  43. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm sighs, and turns his back to the table.
  44. * Vivian turns her head a bit, bringing her hand to her ear briefly.. Stepping away from the table as she murmured quietly.
  45. <Neue-Ziel> "Lord Admiral, I have some information you might be interested in."
  46. * Makh_Chomun folds his arms, before he leans over to whisper to one of the Armsman officers to send the word down to prep the armsman, before voxing to his Lt's for the HG to mobilize and stand ready.
  47. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm turns once more. "I hope to the Emperor it is information of the good variety."
  48. * Vivian pauses. Then closes her eyes. "...My Lord."
  49. * Neue-Ziel hands over the data-slate.
  50. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm lifts an eyebrow.
  51. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Yes, Vivian?"
  52. * Vivian steps over to Wilhelm's side, leaning in and whispering into his ear- conveying the information she had received.
  53. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm takes a step back. And then forward again, slamming his fist on the table.
  54. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Tell the General we are unable to assist. We must ensuer the survival of our forces, and press on in an offensive of our own." Wilhelm tells the stunned Imperial Guard officer.
  55. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Offensive? Admiral Rosenkrantz, with all due respect, you are in no position to assault. None of us are!" the liaison retorts.
  56. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Ziel, if you have something for me, now is the time to bring it to the table."
  57. <Neue-Ziel> "The new chemical compound is corrosive to Ork issue. It is our weapon to end the greenskins' hold on this planet."
  58. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "And what of a delivery method?"
  59. <Neue-Ziel> "We could drop the compound using delivery canisters from low orbits flight."
  60. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Wilhelm looks directly at Commodore Grantt's liaison.
  61. <Makh_Chomun> "Do we have the airpower to do that with?"
  62. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "The Aeronautica does," Wilhelm answers never breaking eye contact.
  63. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "My Lord-Admiral, the Commodore has designated all of our assets to priority missions in support of the General."
  64. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Vivian, show these men the way to reason."
  65. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Ever the Acquisitionist, Vivian reasons with the men, throwing in personal incentives for each...
  66. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "I shall put in a request to the Aeronautica Commanders."
  67. <Rosenkrantz_GM> With the information available, intelligence is pieced together into a simplified report, which is distributed to you.
  68. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "We cannot delay any further, Makh. Take what transports you need, and get down there. That damnable beast has my relic."
  69. <Makh_Chomun> "Your will be done, Lord Captain!" He rounds everyone up, and sends the word down the line. Death will be visited upon the greenskin this day. His boots make a heavy noise as he makes his way down.
  70. <Rosenkrantz_GM> =========SKIPARRO TO THE BATTLEROO=========
  71. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The flight down is harrowing as you first fly over some of the embattled positions of the Imperial Guard. The fighting is brutal even from your distance high above - entrenched tanks do their best to hold key positions as infantry engage in ever-more brutal combat when the greenskings clash in melee with the lines of troopers.
  72. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your mission, however, is not to save those men. Your flight continues past them to the mountains - now clearly more than just that as they have been home to the greenskins in their intricate caverns.
  73. <Rosenkrantz_GM> As you pass the left-most flank, you fly over a vast stretch of pure white, until the mountain rocks begin to poke out in black and dark brown. And it is there where you see it. The troops seconded to the Dynasty being surrounded as the inexhaustible wave of xenos filth pours from within the caverns. On the mountainside from which they spawn, a massive crashed construct of stone and metal
  74. <Rosenkrantz_GM> is embedded, the cover of dirt and snow concealing it to high-orbit reconaissance.
  75. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Major Tsavice's forces put up what defense they can, with skirkishing forces being sacrificed to slow the Ork advance, as heavier, better-equipped troops fall back into closer ranks to form a steadier defense.
  76. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Inspired by their faith, the front-line fanatics charge -and die- by the hundreds, without retreat.
  77. * Baine_Mort looks to Chomun, "We are close enough that I can call in some CAS with the gas to lighten the numbers of Orks."
  78. <Makh_Chomun> "Do so then."
  79. * Baine_Mort calls in over the vox for a CAS on the orks.
  80. * Makh_Chomun has one last look over his gear as they near their landing point.
  81. <Rosenkrantz_GM> From high above, a squadron dives to the appropriate flight level, and begins to circle the target area.
  82. <Rosenkrantz_GM> From here, you can see the vast entrance to the cavern system inside the high-peaked mountain. Lights glow from inside as the orks pour out by the thousands.
  83. <Rosenkrantz_GM> One final fly-by, and the squadron adopts its attack formation on its final approach.
  84. <Makh_Chomun> "House Guard! Steady yourselves! We shall soon spill tanks of greenskin blood!" He roars to his men and women to get them fired up.
  85. <Rosenkrantz_GM> From your distance you don't see the projectiles fall, but the plumes of thick yellow-orange smoke are in sharp contrast to the bright white of the snow and ice.
  86. <Rosenkrantz_GM> They spread far and wide across the mountain's features, engulfing greenskins on their charge.
  87. <Rosenkrantz_GM> At this moment, your pilot lights the signal to your imminent landing.
  88. <Rosenkrantz_GM> With a series of sharp drops the transport loses altitude, and in one rough maneuver, it comes to a stop - the ramp opening up as soon as you touch down on the thick snow.
  89. * Makh_Chomun lets out a bellow that turns into a cry for battle as the charges down the ramp, thunderhammer crackling in his hands.
  90. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The House Guard, riled up by the call to arms of the Lord-Protector unbuckle their harnesses and pour out.
  91. * Baine_Mort follows down the ramp with his Heavy Bolter in hand.
  92. * Neue-Ziel uses binary chatter to command the battle servitors. He marches forward with Lord Chomun.
  93. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Around you the scene is gruesome, you are part of a reinforcing wave depoyed to a trenchline that has seen plenty of action - the snow is as red as it is white, with the dead covering the field, desperate combat all around. Weapons being fired, melee, grenades and other explosives going off. You are in the thick of it.
  94. <Rosenkrantz_GM> And you are not alone. Major Tsavice is advancing with his Jannissaries to plug the gaps left by the lesser troopers and fanatics. His calls are amplified by a laud-hailer as the mask of St. Drusus covers his face in protection.
  95. <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++FORWARD, CHILDREN OF THE EMPEROR! FORWARD, TO DO HIS HOLY WORK! STEADY YOUR NERVES AND FIGHT TO THE DEATH, FOR ONLY IN DEATH DOES DUTY END!++
  96. <Makh_Chomun> +Anchor our line with the Major's push these vermin back into the pit!+
  97. <Vivian> Vivian quietly gives a gesture to prayer to the Lord Emperor, giving a brief kiss to her good luck charm. Then she'd follow suit, Hellgun in hand.
  98. <Rosenkrantz_GM> House Guardsmen stand around you, squads forming under your command.
  99. <Neue-Ziel> "Praise be to the Omnissiah. Let the Greentide crumble at his wrath."
  100. <Rosenkrantz_GM> From your position at the base of the incline leading to the entrance of the caverns, you can see the thick toxic smoke far behind the enemy lines grow steadily, carried by the wind.
  101. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your men fire at close range, some joining in on the melee, every meter of ground a struggle.
  102. * Makh_Chomun roars out a battle cry as he charges into the chaotic melee, his hammer swings smote two greenskins. The enemy formation is taken by surprise and is more suspect to the charge of the squad in his command, who kill four more of the savage xenos before they can even react.
  103. * Baine_Mort opens fire with his heavy bolter, causing mass damage to a formation of orks, killing 14 of the green beast, his autocannon team though is not as lucky.
  104. * Neue-Ziel fires his hellgun killing one of the Orks. The Servitors fire their lascannons afterwards killing seven Orks.
  105. <Baine_Mort> The Orks charge in to Morts Autocannon team who are unable to scatter and two of the guardsman are killed.
  106. * Vivian kept her positioning, taking aim with her hellgun. Taking in a slow breath, she'd relax before firing off several rounds- killing three of the disgusting creatures in her righteous fury.
  107. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The noxious cloud begins to spread, but the ork fury keeps them fighting with fierce resilience, as dozens more are killed.
  108. <Makh_Chomun> The press of the melee is too close for Makh's follow-up swing, and he unfortunately slams his hammer into the snow and dirt of the ground instead of an ork skull, his men and women however do a better job with their shotguns and bayonets, fell three more orks.
  109. * Baine_Mort opens fire with his heavy bolter, killing 7 more orks, he then orders his squad to disengage from the enemy and fall back closer to his position.
  110. * Neue-Ziel and his servitors unleash another volley of las fire and kill 11 Orks.
  111. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Orks rally with a terrifying war cry, and fire en-masse into the melee, killing some of their own, while devastating your own line.
  112. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The overwhelming firepower kills scores, each of you losing your accompanying squads, 38 Household Guardsmen fallen, dozens more dead from the Jannissaries and zealots.
  113. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Dead and dying surround you, cries of wounded crawling away from the front.
  114. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The wave is a failure, you lose the trenchline, and the men begin to break.
  115. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "WWAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
  116. <Makh_Chomun> "Rally!" Thunk. "Hold fast, damn you!" Another hammer blow, another dead ork. "To me, sons and daughters of the Emperor!" Crack. "Push back!" Another dead ork dies in front of him.
  117. <Makh_Chomun> He tries to rally his men and women.
  118. <Makh_Chomun> Not today, it seems, Makh fights on regardless.
  119. * Baine_Mort tries to rally the troops but is unable to.
  120. <Rosenkrantz_GM> They continue to flee in a panic, unwilling to face the brutal beasts as they're run down.
  121. <Neue-Ziel> "Where is that [binary]/useless genetor/ with his army of [binary]/flesh crafted horrors?/ "
  122. <Rosenkrantz_GM> You spot Major Tsavice, injured, bleeding from one limp arm, standing his ground, firing his side-arm.
  123. * Vivian brought her hand up to her lips, giving a shrill whistle before yelling out "GATHER YOUR WITS AND PUSH FORWARD. THOSE BLESSED BY THE LORD EMPEROR DO NOT FLEE. HE WILL NOT FAIL US TODAY, AND WE WILL RISE AND SUCCEED!" As she yelled out, she took aim to ready her next shot
  124. <Baine_Mort> "Who are you talking about Ziel?"
  125. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The sight of this unlikely warrior, a woman of noble breeding by her looks, standing her ground and fighting on, begins to inspire the zealots who find their faith in Vivian and her words.
  126. <Rosenkrantz_GM> One by one, they begin to gather, to turn and fight.
  127. <Neue-Ziel> "YOU KNOW OF THE RUSTED BLIGHT UPON MY NAME WHICH I SPEAK OF!"
  128. * Makh_Chomun is lost in the thrill of combat. His hammer swings up and down, up and down, up and down. Like a steady beat he slays orks wherever he can find them.
  129. <Baine_Mort> "You mean Josef?"
  130. <Rosenkrantz_GM> While the willingness to fight may be restored, the realities of the casualties sustained are evident. Your men are now surrounded on both flanks while sustaining a brutal frontal assault.
  131. * Neue-Ziel pulls out his chainsword ands says "INDEED, Master Mort. Let us continue the slaughter of unholy xenos."
  132. * Neue-Ziel charges after Chomun to assist him in combat.
  133. <Rosenkrantz_GM> An Ork Nob charges forward, in a spiteful rage against the woman who would rally the retreating humans.
  134. * Vivian fortunately was quite nimble. Seeing the Nob charge, she would swiftly sidestep the attack.
  135. <Rosenkrantz_GM> +My Lords... the formation is collapsing.+
  136. <Rosenkrantz_GM> You find yourselves now with a few dozen hardened fighters standing their ground. Death is everywhere.
  137. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Orks are pushing past you.
  138. <Rosenkrantz_GM> If you remain there much longer, you will be overwhelmed.
  139. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Major Tsavice attempts to organize an orderly retreat to reform the defensive line.
  140. <Neue-Ziel> "Lord Chomun, Orders?"
  141. <Makh_Chomun> "Rally the troops and fall back," he yells to Ziel before he throws himself into the thickest of the fighting to help out the beleagured soldiers.
  142. <Neue-Ziel> "Understood."
  143. * Neue-Ziel falls back to the defensive line while firing at the advancing horde.
  144. <Baine_Mort> "We have a way out, towards the black smoke, were mortar team was at if we move swiftly enough."
  145. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Trails of thick black smoke now fill the air as Ork rockets are fired in a massive salvo.
  146. <Makh_Chomun> Despite the thickness of the battle, the blood and the death, Makh sees a slim chance of getting out. An old mortar position in the distance. +Follow me!+ He starts humping it as fast as he can, thunderhammer in one hand.
  147. * Baine_Mort starts running his way towards the black smoke to fall back.
  148. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The rockets land, seemingly without direction, all around you. Hitting dirt, corpses, retreating men, and even other orks, the rockets add to the havoc of it all.
  149. * Vivian grunted, and kept close with the group.
  150. * Neue-Ziel starts following Chomun.
  151. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The cold begins to crystalize the moisture around your nostrils and drying your mouth as you sprint as fast as you can to the new defensive line.
  152. <Rosenkrantz_GM> When you reach it, the ranks of waiting troopers make way for you, continuing their firing as soon as you are behind the line.
  153. <Rosenkrantz_GM> A Jannissary comms officer looks at you with worried eyes as he continues to receive transmissions.
  154. <Makh_Chomun> Once behind the new line, Makh falls to a knee, using the hammer to support his armored bulk while he catches his breath.
  155. <Rosenkrantz_GM> He makes a gesture at Chomun shaking his head.
  156. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Most of the troopers on the firing line now pray out loud, beseeching the Emperor to guide them.
  157. * Baine_Mort makes his way past the firing line next to Chomun where he drops to his knees to catch his breath.
  158. * Makh_Chomun picks himself up, hefting his hammer as he strides over to the officer. "I take it I'm not going to like what you have to say."
  159. <Baine_Mort> "Chomun......should I call....in another....CAS?
  160. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Flanks are collapsing, sir."
  161. <Rosenkrantz_GM> More rockets now polute the skies above in their unpatterned flights.
  162. <Makh_Chomun> He looks over to Mort, "do it," he says before turning back to the officer. "Then perhaps today is a good day to die, in service to the Emperor."
  163. <Baine_Mort> "Will do but it....would be more....effective if I knew the....location of the Ork...Warboss.
  164. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "No chance of that, sir. We barely know the position of our own men."
  165. * Baine_Mort finally stands up as he is able to finish catching his breath for the most part, "Well damn, if we did then we could break the Orks lines much easily, but I will do what I can for now."
  166. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The rockets land all around once more, inacurate yet devastating in number.
  167. * Baine_Mort gets on the vox and calls in for more CAS.
  168. <Rosenkrantz_GM> One howling rocket streams right towards you, zeroed in on your position.
  169. <Makh_Chomun> A shrill noise assaults Makh's ears, it's familiar but also different at the same time...that's what it is, one of those infernal greenskin rockets...coming straight at him. "MOVE!" He barely yells before he tackles the ground with all the speed and weight he can muster in his armored form.
  170. * Baine_Mort see the incoming rocket and quickly runs and rolls to the side as fast he can to avoid it, he then gets up to his feet, "Damn that was close."
  171. <Rosenkrantz_GM> "My Lord, we are now surrounded by the unho--" the comms officer and his vox team are destroyed in the blast.
  172. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Soon you hear more blasts.
  173. <Rosenkrantz_GM> A series of them. One after the other.
  174. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Thankfully they are distant.
  175. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The skies, however, are CLEAR.
  176. <Makh_Chomun> Amid the snow and dirt he picks himself up and sees the crater that used to be the comms pit. "Shchlag me."
  177. <Rosenkrantz_GM> More blasts from around the mountain peak.
  178. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Entire chunks of rock are destroyed, avalanches triggered.
  179. <Baine_Mort> 1d100 vs 70
  180. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Finally, you see them. The ironclad warriors of this world, fighting their way up the mountain peak from the Eastern slopes.
  181. <Rosenkrantz_GM> They are massive, and near indestructible, as they shrug off incoming fire with what to you look like voidshield technology.
  182. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Massive battlecannons, and vehicle-sized chainswords unleashing the Emperor's fury.
  183. <Makh_Chomun> "And here I thought these things were only a myth. They are massive." He lets his hammer fall into the snow, head first, but he keeps a hand on the pommel as he watches them stride forth and wreak havoc on the enemy.
  184. <Rosenkrantz_GM> You recognize the colors... Red-white. House Travenne, of the Usurper King.
  185. <Baine_Mort> "Well well well, looks like the cavalry is finally here."
  186. <Vivian> "Half of it, anyways.." A low, tired chuckle would follow.
  187. <Neue-Ziel> "The Beasts of the Machine God are with us."
  188. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Then, at their feet, you see the warriors of the Omnissiah, a powerful, vicious fighting infantyr force, slaying Orks big and small with arcane weaponry - powered by secrets jealously guarded by the Red Priests of Mars.
  189. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your commbeads are flooded with a digital screeching.
  190. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Following with messages in low-gothic of incoming support.
  191. <Makh_Chomun> "Sure would have been nice if your cousins had come earlier, Ziel."
  192. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Orks actually begin to withdraw, being pushed North.
  193. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Slowly, their numbers dwindle along your front.
  194. <Neue-Ziel> "It is difficult to cooperate with 'family' nowadays, Lord Chomun."
  195. <Rosenkrantz_GM> By now, the cloud of toxic smoke has cleared, and as you are able to look up at the area affected by your strike you see the damage.
  196. * Makh_Chomun grunts in agreement. He knew that all too well.
  197. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Hundreds of the greenskins lay dead.
  198. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Piled upon one another, they appear to disolve into the snow.
  199. <Rosenkrantz_GM> One of the Imperial Knights breaks formation and slaughters its way towards you.
  200. <Rosenkrantz_GM> Black of armor, the Freeblade is quite a sight to behold in its surroundings.
  201. <Rosenkrantz_GM> It is accompanied by a platoon of the Skitarii Warriors.
  202. <Rosenkrantz_GM> They burn the corpses of the orks they encounter along the way, purging the field of their filth.
  203. * Baine_Mort whistles, "Damn those things are big."
  204. <Neue-Ziel> "They aren't even the largest of the mechanical soldiers in our fold."
  205. <Makh_Chomun> "Bet you wouldn't mind one of those, eh Mort?"
  206. <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Knight comes to a stop, and the Skitarii close in.
  207. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "Blessings of the Omnissiah."
  208. * Neue-Ziel makes the sign of the Machine God and says [techna-lingua] "Blessings of the Omnissiah, my brother."
  209. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "What does a Lathe-brother do with these unwise fleshmen who foolishly walked into the beast-master's lair?"
  210. <Neue-Ziel> [techna-lingua] "We are here to find The Pious Charge and return it back to where it rightfully belongs."
  211. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "You search for relics?"
  212.
  213. <Baine_Mort> "Yea I would love to have one of those in our arsenal." Mort says to Chomun.\
  214. <Neue-Ziel> [techna-lingua] "The Orkz stole a holy relic. We can not let them keep it and defile the artifact."
  215. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "King Atum Travenne ordered our support to you. We have been watching your movements. We believed these fleshmen to be warriors of the Ecclesiarch. As you know, brother, the Machine God backs House Travenne."
  216. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "King Atum recognized them as your own. And we have intervened, brother. But we mustn't remain, for the battle to determine the future of this world is at hand."
  217. <Neue-Ziel> [techna-lingua] "Indeed. It is not my place to disobey the will of the Machine, but I can not forgot the sacred oaths between the Adeptus Mechanicus and Rosenkrantz of the dynasty. So I must follow my duties."
  218. <Rosenkrantz_GM> [techna-lingua] "Go, if you must, into the lair of the beast. And do the Omnissiah's holy work. The beast defiles the machine spirit in all it touches. It must be purged."
  219. <Neue-Ziel> "Lord Chomun, we must move out."
  220. <Neue-Ziel> [techna-lingua] "Thank you, my brother."
  221. <Makh_Chomun> "Very well."
