'Sup, doods!

It is almost done. The tournament has one last weekend. It started four weeks ago, but it will soon finish. By most others' accounts, this is too short. The people want to play. When enough people are trained on the broadcast layout, we can make worthwhile expansions. Let's play this by ear for the PPL tournament and see where we land.

I did end my tournament on a good note, though the journey through the match was arduous, to say the least. My hands never fully warmed up. On top of that, thebfin314 brought some aggressive play that had me questioning whether the strats I warmed up with was actually working. Still not 100% at any given point whether x3, x4, or x5 chain opens have the best balance of consistent and fast for races. We'll keep workshopping it.

I can now mentally prepare for the post-tournament routine. I will be spending most of my free time after this week on my tutorial series so I won't be able to ramp up my streaming routine. I'm actually not sure which game I want to get back to. It usually follows from Tetris Attack that something similar, but different, is best for the sanity, aka Panel de Pon. I guess it will depend on which gameplay examples I will need to record or am recording in that moment. I might bounce around before the minor tournament goes down in July or PPL ramps up in August. I hope to figure out more next week.

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #1: build the credits sequence for the tournament. I had to wait for most of the matches to have all of the clips to choose from, but I've done nothing on it at all. That will take up most of my week.
Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I will still want to take time during the week to do all of that instead of stream once the tournament is over.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.

I'll certainly help people train for Stage Clear and the final VS. match on Friday. We'll just have to see where that takes us.
