  1. Gam Saan - Oasis
  2.
  3.
  4. Once you get through the gate in the ten foot tall chain link fence with it's white wooden slats interwoven in the links to improve privacy. Along the entire length of the inside of the fence you see newly planted three foot tall Emerald Arborvitae (which can grow up to fifteen feet), you can finally see the grounds proper. The focal point is an oasis. A small relatively shallow pool of water about fifteen feet long and six feet across at it's widest. A spring feeds one end, and a small stream runs out of it for a little ways before vanishing back in to the desert sands. The pool it's self is surrounded by mossy stones, short hearty grass, and small shrubs native to the area. (for those that can sense it and make the effort to do so, the oasis is a relatively weak place of power)
  5.
  6. A well manicured gravel path leads to the oasis, forking off about half way from the entrance to also lead you to either a large glass greenhouse, or a small house that has seen better days. At the fork in the trail is a hand pump attached to a pipe sticking out of the ground, probably the sole source of water for the house proper, An outhouse can be seen behind the house proper. On top of the house is a rather new set of solar panels providing personal power as needed.
  7.
  8. The greenhouse on the other hand looks to be almost as new as the freshly planted potential hedge wall. Off to one side, and out of the way so as to maximize sunlight there's another set of solar panels to power the greenhouse.
  9.
  10. There is probably a battery bank somewhere inside the Greenhouse to prevent interruptions in power.

  20. Zua lets MoGui in through the gate when he arrives. She gives him a small bow and gestures around, "Welcome to my humble abode. I keep my promises, and it is now up and running. Plants in the greenhouse are just barely starting to sprout, so there isn't much to see there yet."
  21.
  22. Mo is the curious sort - it just comes with the territory of being caught between states, blessed and cursed. His eyes take in all the various sights for a few moments. "Its all very impressive, that you've managed to establish all of this, out here."
  23.
  24. Zua shrugs, "I was given custody of the location. No one told me what else to build.". She smiles at you, "I like growing things, so I added the greenhouse. It also makes a decent source of income, and I kind of enjoy eating.". she waves dismissively at the pump, if you need a drink you'll want to run the water clear before you do so. It may be primitive, but it's safe."
  25.
  26. "Given the choice between life and death, too many that I have known have opted to choose death," murmurs Mo before grounding himself back in the here and now and pushing away whatever unpleasant memories threatened to intrude.
  27.
  28. Zua shrugs, "After I drank the elixir and moved beyond my own death in to a new life I found that plants respond to me much more than they did before. I can grow virtually anything, anywhere. The greenhouse just makes it easier to convince buyers I know what I'm doing. And I blame any lack of knowledge on English not being my native language so I can't translate it properly." She grins, it fades in to a sigh, "I just wish I hadn't had to give up alcohol as a tradeoff."
  29.
  30. Mo arches an eyebrow. "You grow cannabis out here? Poppy? Or less risky varieties of vegetation?"
  31.
  32. Zua shrugs, "Everything here is legal. You'd be amazed at what high end restaurants will pay for premium quality spices like real Wasabi, which goes bad within a very short time after it's removed from the soil."
  33.
  34. Mo nods, reaching up to rub at his stubbled chin. "If I wanted a small patch of poppy cultivated, would you be open to the notion?"
  35.
  36. Zua raises an eyebrow, "Not here. But i would be open to assisting you get started grow it at least. That plant is prety easy to maintain once you get it going."
  37.
  38. Mo brightens at that and offers a smile, "My spot is up north, jut outside of Idyllwyld in Fern Valley - will that be an issue? And thank you, whatever help you can give is appreciated. WOuld you like for me to bless your space here with auspicious arrangements in return?"
  39.
  40. Zua chuckles, "We can do the blessings after we get your space actually growing. Just need to set it up, give me a temporary key and show me around."
  41.
  42. Mo offers a nod, "Fair enough. I'll set up a small greenhouse a ways out from my spot."
  43.
  44. Zua nods, "I would offer to show you the rest of the grounds but this is the best of it here. the House still needs a lot of work, but it's good enough for now.
  45.
  46. Mo gives a nod. "Fair enough, I appreciate your hospitality, both in hosting me and in helping me get a small grow started."
  47.
  48. Zua nods, "These western laws are strange on the subject of medicinal herbs. So many good ones are illegal here.". She shakes her head, "It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me."
