  4. ED: 5ch post talking about the reason why the jdk BAND was dissolved in 2015. Imageboard grammar and sentence structure tends to be loose while containing typos, so if some parts of this writeup feel weird, that's probably why. To make matters worse, the source poster wrote things in a vague fashion and used code names to describe Falcom and other people, so if you read a sentence and don't quite get it, that's probably why. Also I am not a professional translator, so there MAY BE ERRORS. [] brackets indicate editor notes.

  6. Now, After a Long Time, the Truth Behind the Breakup of jdk BAND [2011-2015 period jdk BAND].
  7.
  8. In the days of the previous jdk BAND, there was a man [at Chara-Ani] who organized and scheduled all of jdk BAND's events.
  9. Thanks to him putting a ton of effort into the band, jdk BAND activities along with their acoustic live concerts thrived greatly.
  10. While this man was organizing and managing the band members, Falcom Chairman Kato became suspicious that the man was going to use jdk BAND as part of a profit scheme of some kind. [The Japanese word the 5ch poster uses is 儲け話, which can refer to profiteering, or simply making extra money on the side].
  11. The reason why Kato became suspicious was because he considered this man to be too buddy-buddy with jdk BAND.
  12. Due to his suspicions, Kato contacted each game maker that had both worked with this man and was invited to Japan Game Music Festival II, and told these game makers that this man was untrustworthy, and not to participate in the Festival. The game makers withdrew their participation and Japan Game Music Festival II was canceled. [ED: This cancellation happened only 3 days before the event date]
  13. This was the impetus for both the Chara-Ani man and Okajima, the band leader, to cut ties with Falcom.
  14. The event cancellation was devastating for everyone. The two aforementioned men apologized profusely to the game makers who had planned to participate in the Festival, day after day.
  15. The other jdk BAND members who heard about what happened decided to quit the band. This was because the band members were all good friends. They are good friends to this day.
  16. The only person that remained in jdk BAND was the violinist Mizuki Mizutani.
  17. She quit recently [in 2018], but I don't know the details behind her choice.
  18.
  19. These events took place a long time ago, so I feel that my detailing may not be perfect.
  20. I won't be answering any questions about this. Whether you believe me or not is up to you.
  21. jdk BAND can form from any band. Falcom isn't going anywhere.
  22. Everything else I will leave to your imagination.

  25. That's right, the Festival was suddenly canceled around the same time that the previous jdk BAND stopped...
  26. However, the Festival was quickly revived [ED: The event was revived and reinstated, and ran in May instead of March.] and despite Falcom also holding a quick live event at the same time as JGMFII, the Festival managed to gain more attendees in comparison using mobilization tactics.

  29. What you wrote is similar to the rumors I heard so I believe you.
  30. If I may stick up for Falcom for a moment, I heard rumors that outside of Kato and Kondo, everyone else in Falcom would prefer hiring the previous jdk BAND, so it's not like everyone in Falcom is a bad person.
