  5. OUTLINE
  6. I. What is an A-TEC, and why do we want it?
  7. a. First need to explain duel rank (declines with certain actions)
  8. b. More actions = lower rank
  9. c. A-TEC is the lowest rank (briefly explain S-TEC and why it doesn't matter)
  10. d. We want it (and Peggy in particular b/c it gives best cards in the game: MM is best equip, BC second-best, also DT; WSR and DCJ
  11. e. This tutorial will be for Pegasus, but it applies to just about anyone
  12. II. Show how to use rank calculator
  13. a. Basic functions
  14. b. Hotkeys
  15. c. Show route
  16. d. Other route options
  17. III. Deck construction
  18. a. Most important is dragons
  19. b. Thunders
  20. c. Magics and trap
  21. d. Filler fusion material (prefer waters and thunders because more THTD and more fusable; downside is you die if no THTD)
  22. IV. Duel strategies
  23. a. Explain how each action will be achieved
  24. i. Fusions: Just do as many as possible each turn, until you have 15
  25. ii. Cards used: Use/toss as many cards from your hand as you can
  26. iii. Face-down plays: Just set your trap normally
  27. iv. Effective attacks: Starting on the second turn (or first if no THTD), tack a weak monster to the end of your fusion
  28. v. Equips: Just use it (don't need to play monster you equip)
  29. vi. Pure magic: Just use it, or set it if you get it early in the duel so it isn't taking up space in your hand
  30. vii. Traps: Set it ASAP, then play a weak monster in the same manner you do for getting effective attacks
  31. vii. Turns: This will take care of itself UNLESS you toss the maximum number of cards each turn OR your magic is at the bottom. If either happens, just waste a turn. Use opponents # of remaining cards to track this
  32. b. Play the duel according to the above strategy
  33. V. What can go wrong
  34. a. Bottom-deck trap
  35. b. MBD, especially a late top-deck
