- It's a shame you have interpreted my email as a threat, especially since it was actually you that initially threatened us with your wording: " ...or council intervention involving potential removal of the very top of the posts & lights" which was the actual reason I then sought advice myself. Instead of responding back to you with requesting "to cut off communication" due to feeling "threatened" by the possible council order of "removal of the tops of our posts & lights"; Ed & I (despite our financial hardship) were even very generously offering to pay half the cost of a solution: ".... to demonstrate our sincerity & goodwill, we are happy to endeavour to save up some money towards half the cost of a barrier (hedging/shrubs/trellis/vines etc) & materials towards shielding inserts/lower wattage globes or spraying the sides of existing globes".
- To clarify, it was in response to your council enquiries where you suggested that our gates "may have actually required council approval prior to construction" that I sought council advice myself, & I did mention to you that I did not provide "address details at this time" which is your exact wording to me in your previous email. (your wording to me "without providing our address details at this time").
- You will also notice that in regards to the SRO I had merely contacted them out of sheer curiosity because I used to work in accountancy & have an "interest in the subject"; & if you remember when we had that conversation regarding land tax, I expressed confusion as I was certain that land tax would be applicable on the portion being rented out, I simply wanted to find out "to satisfy my own curiosity" & in no way did I threaten you, as I did not provide your address or even indicate that I was going to provide your address (notice I didn’t say "at this time"), my actual wording was "without mentioning any specific address". I also described a "scenario", which the SRO officer could have interpreted as me finding out information for myself. I never mentioned my neighbour. After finding out this info, I simply thought I should present the info to you since you may not be aware of it, so technically being helpful. What you do with this info is entirely your business, nothing to do with me.
- As per your decision "to cut communications", this will be our final correspondence to you.
