- Hey there friend. Great article.
- I've been converting to AB since January and I have figured out some nice tips that may help some people.
- First off, I copied the CBBE mod contents of the "Tools\BodySlide" folder only. This gave me the resources for bodyslide without installing to the game.
- Then I opened "\Tools\BodySlide\RefTemplates.xml" with notepad and added
- <Template sourcefile="SliderSets\AtomicB - Bodies.osp" set="AtomicBeauty" shape="AtomicBeauty">AtomicBeauty Naked</Template>
- <Template sourcefile="ConversionSets\AtomicBReferences.osp" set="CBBEToAtomicB" shape="AtomicBeauty">Convert: CBBE To AtomicBeauty</Template>
- To the list so it would come up in the "References" dropdown menu in Outfit Studio. Saves a lot of time!
- Next, lets say I'm converting a CBBE outfit to AB.
- 1. I load the project file, not just the outfit (\BodySlide\SliderSets\***.osp)
- 2. Go to the "Slider" Menu and hit "Load Preset"
- 3. Choose "CBBE Slim" hit "OK"
- 4. Go to the "Slider" Menu and hit "Set Base Shape"
- The outfit now stays the preset and the reference goes back to normal
- 5. Now go to the "File" Menu and hit "Load Reference"
- 6. Next to "Load Template" choose "Convert: CBBE To AtomicBeauty" (make sure merge sliders is unselected)
- Hit "OK"
- 7. Go to "Slider" menu, "Conform All"
- 8. Drag the one slider "CBBEtoAtomicB" to 100
- 9. Go to "Slider" Menu and hit "Set Base Shape"
- The outfit now stays the 100 on the slider and the reference changes to 0
- 10. Go to the "File" Menu and hit "Load Reference"
- 11. Next to "Load Template" choose "Atomic Beauty Naked" - Just because I named it that in the xml file from before. Any other AB Body reference will work.
- 12. Go to "Slider" menu, "Conform All"
- The clothing should now manipulate with the sliders to the right.
- 13. Under the "Meshes" box on the right, Highlight all the pieces of clothing by holding down CTRL and selecting them.
- DO NOT highlight the project name (name with the - + box) or the "AtomicBeauty" green text reference.
- 14. Right click the highlighted group and select "Copy Bone Weights" keep the default sliders and hit "OK"
- The bottom left of the program will have "Ready!' when the process is over.
- 15. Go to "File" menu, hit "Save Project"
- 16. Exit "Outfit Studio"
- 17. Exit "Bodyslide" ALWAYS exit bodyslide to refresh the outfits.
- --The outfit will still only allow CBBE Presets until you do this--
- 18. Reopen "BodySlide" hit "Group Manager" Button on the right.
- 19. Hit "Browse" Button and load "BodySlide\SliderGroups\AtomicBeauty.xml"
- 20. Under "Groups" box select "AtomicBeauty"
- 21. Find the outfit you just worked on in the right box "Outfits" select it and hit "Add" at the bottom. Now close the window.
- 22. Now the outfit can be selected and AtomicBeauty Presets are available.
- Obviously I didn't cover any mesh editing tools. This is just the core process I use to save a lot of time not creating new projects and bodyslide entries.
- Hope this helps someone!
