  1.
  2. Hey there friend. Great article.
  3. I've been converting to AB since January and I have figured out some nice tips that may help some people.
  4. First off, I copied the CBBE mod contents of the "Tools\BodySlide" folder only. This gave me the resources for bodyslide without installing to the game.
  5. Then I opened "\Tools\BodySlide\RefTemplates.xml" with notepad and added
  6.
  7. <Template sourcefile="SliderSets\AtomicB - Bodies.osp" set="AtomicBeauty" shape="AtomicBeauty">AtomicBeauty Naked</Template>
  8. <Template sourcefile="ConversionSets\AtomicBReferences.osp" set="CBBEToAtomicB" shape="AtomicBeauty">Convert: CBBE To AtomicBeauty</Template>
  9.
  10. To the list so it would come up in the "References" dropdown menu in Outfit Studio. Saves a lot of time!
  11.
  12. Next, lets say I'm converting a CBBE outfit to AB.
  13. 1. I load the project file, not just the outfit (\BodySlide\SliderSets\***.osp)
  14. 2. Go to the "Slider" Menu and hit "Load Preset"
  15. 3. Choose "CBBE Slim" hit "OK"
  16. 4. Go to the "Slider" Menu and hit "Set Base Shape"
  17. The outfit now stays the preset and the reference goes back to normal
  18. 5. Now go to the "File" Menu and hit "Load Reference"
  19. 6. Next to "Load Template" choose "Convert: CBBE To AtomicBeauty" (make sure merge sliders is unselected)
  20. Hit "OK"
  21. 7. Go to "Slider" menu, "Conform All"
  22. 8. Drag the one slider "CBBEtoAtomicB" to 100
  23. 9. Go to "Slider" Menu and hit "Set Base Shape"
  24. The outfit now stays the 100 on the slider and the reference changes to 0
  25. 10. Go to the "File" Menu and hit "Load Reference"
  26. 11. Next to "Load Template" choose "Atomic Beauty Naked" - Just because I named it that in the xml file from before. Any other AB Body reference will work.
  27. 12. Go to "Slider" menu, "Conform All"
  28. The clothing should now manipulate with the sliders to the right.
  29. 13. Under the "Meshes" box on the right, Highlight all the pieces of clothing by holding down CTRL and selecting them.
  30. DO NOT highlight the project name (name with the - + box) or the "AtomicBeauty" green text reference.
  31. 14. Right click the highlighted group and select "Copy Bone Weights" keep the default sliders and hit "OK"
  32. The bottom left of the program will have "Ready!' when the process is over.
  33. 15. Go to "File" menu, hit "Save Project"
  34. 16. Exit "Outfit Studio"
  35. 17. Exit "Bodyslide" ALWAYS exit bodyslide to refresh the outfits.
  36.
  37. --The outfit will still only allow CBBE Presets until you do this--
  38.
  39. 18. Reopen "BodySlide" hit "Group Manager" Button on the right.
  40. 19. Hit "Browse" Button and load "BodySlide\SliderGroups\AtomicBeauty.xml"
  41. 20. Under "Groups" box select "AtomicBeauty"
  42. 21. Find the outfit you just worked on in the right box "Outfits" select it and hit "Add" at the bottom. Now close the window.
  43. 22. Now the outfit can be selected and AtomicBeauty Presets are available.
  44.
  45. Obviously I didn't cover any mesh editing tools. This is just the core process I use to save a lot of time not creating new projects and bodyslide entries.
  46. Hope this helps someone!
