  1. 17:01] Klaus nods towards Berend, while his eyes trailed toward Tyrith. He listens to the question that she had brought up, smiling and surprised to see him here!
  2.
  3. "Oh, uh no!... I think we were actually looking for you. Aren't you a skilled artisan? We are sort of on a mission."
  4.
  5. Unless he wasn't correct about this particular aspect. But she always seemed to plop out of nowhere and offer them some goods for coins, which did seem to give him the idea.
  6. (Nikólaos)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [17:01] Berend says, "We're not, no. We've already spoken to the Priestess."
  10. [17:02] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Oh."
  11. [17:02] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "I need sugarcap mushroom and crimson reed."
  12. [17:02] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "This is what they look like."
  13. [17:02] Gebhardt Von Scabb asks, "Are they edible...?"
  14. [17:03] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Sugarcap is, but hardly."
  15. [17:03] Nikólaos exclaims, "I don't got any of those, sorry!"
  16. [17:03] Nikólaos asks, "Do you know a Sir Robin? How does he look?"
  17. [17:03] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Robin is a knight."
  18. [17:03] Nikólaos asks, "Mhm, any idea where he is?"
  19. [17:03] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "He uses, uhm...."
  20. [17:03] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Blood magic, I think."
  21. [17:04] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Usually the knights stick to the park."
  22. [17:04] Nikólaos exclaims, "Interesting... I must find him!"
  23. [17:04] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "...Right."
  24. [17:04] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "I am a Thunderbird, so I tend to stay away from the Order."
  25. [17:04] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "They have two castles in the city."
  26. [17:05] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "...But they're never in either of them."
  27. [17:05] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "Oh. A general is here."
  28. [17:05] Nikólaos says, "Ooh... Two castles. That's sorta' cool still though - huh."
  29. [17:05] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "This one."
  30. [17:05] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  31. [17:05] Tyrith Airgetlám says, "These two are looking for Ser Robin."
  32. [17:05] Memmon nods his head.
  33. (Memmon Therasil)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [17:06] Caitlyn Aballi asks, "What wedding?"
  37. [17:06] Memmon Therasil says, "Our wedding, me and Lily."
  38. [17:07] Caitlyn Aballi says, "Ooh."
  39. [17:07] "Hello there, do you happen to know where I can find a Sir Robin?"
  40.
  41. He asked him with a raised brow while he's taken into account what it was that Miss Yiel had told him, about the weapon that he's held - and finding a blacksmith who's built a one of a kind weapon along with a Knight.
  42.
  43. "I'm on a mission by a Priestess, simply to a noble, a Knight, and a blacksmith who's built a one of a kind weapon."
  44.
  45. The teen explains the situation. The mission was going to be tough! But he had to accomplish it.
  46. (Nikólaos)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [17:08] Berend leaned on his broadsword, "Judging by those fancy treads, we've already stumbled on a nobleman."
  50.
  51. He peers the two over, "That must be your wife. What's your names, 'Lord'?"
  52. (Berend)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [17:12] Gebhardt Von Scabb asks, "...Are any of you people ordained priests of the star-faith?"
  56. [17:12] Gebhardt Von Scabb says, "I thought I'd ask. "
  57. [17:12] Humming some, the two had juuust sat down in the park before being approached. Leaning her head against Valero's shoulder, she smiled at the two.
  58.
  59. "Ah, well, I do not see Ser Robin about now...He was here a bit ago. I'm sure if you linger about the park you shall find him."
  60.
  61. Glancing to Valero now at the request of their names, she spoke. "This handsome man is my husband, I am Lady Aria cos Montclaire and he is Valero lux Montclaire."
  62.
  63. Taking glee in stealing the introductions she can only smile.
  64. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [17:12] Memmon Therasil says, "I am an acolyte."
  68. [17:13] Gebhardt Von Scabb says, "...Does that mean you can introduce me into your faith? I too, crave communion with higher powers."
  69. [17:13] Memmon Therasil says, "Well.. I can tell you about it, but I cannot induct you."
  70. [17:13] Memmon Therasil exclaims, "Oh-- Valero!"
  71. [17:14] Gebhardt Von Scabb says, "Unfortunate."
  72. [17:16] The Radiant's attention turned to each as he spoke, but he merely smiled as his wife spoke up first and he bobbed his agreement. "Sir Robin is usually either around here, in the barracks, or asleep."
  73.
  74. His protégé's schedule was quite predictable as it should be for one his station. The introduction being made for him brightened his smile even more and he inclined his head in confirmation.
  75.
  76. Dark eyes flicked to Memmon, "Good to see you, Cadet Therasil." He cannot suppress the smile from being marked as a nobleman so swiftly albeit accurately.
  77.
  78. "Might we know your names as well, strangers? My wife and I are adept at such projects as well and open to worthy requisitions."
  79. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [17:16] Sina whispers something.
  83. [17:17] Aria cos Montclaire says, "--"
  84. [17:17] Sina whispers something.
  85. [17:17] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  86. [17:17] Sina whispers something.
  87. [17:18] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  88. [17:18] Memmon Therasil exclaims, "Worry not my mentor, I've been staying vigilant on my communion with Alph-- but I want to extend an invitation to my wedding to you and your wife!"
  89. [17:18] Sina whispers something.
  90. [17:18] Sina whispers something.
  91. [17:19] Berend scratched his jaw, not too certain on how to behave around the noble folk. He tried his way,
  92.
  93. "Aye. Berend Truesteel. The Church has sent us on a mission to learn more about the current political atmosphere -- or arena, if you will, and you might be able to grant us some more insight. We're looking for a skilled knight or higher in the Order to have a combat session with as well. It's meant to broaden our horizons and make us combat ready. Experience, I s'pose."
  94.
  95. The dark skinned man nodded.
  96. (Berend)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. [17:20] Caitlyn Aballi says, "Yep."
  100. [17:20] Caitlyn offers Agrien a wave.
  101. (Caitlyn Aballi)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [17:20] Champloo Borin says, "Hey, Liliana, mind showin' me to the church? I could use a recap on where it is."
  105. [17:21] Champloo Borin asks, "I'm doin' alright, how about ya Doc van?"
  106. [17:21] Caitlyn Aballi asks, "Ooh, projects?"
  107. [17:22] A brief gaze is given towards Agrien, and with a small tilt of his head, he spoke out.
  108.
  109. "You know.."
  110.
  111. "You never told me why exactly you dyed your hair. I mean, it fits you, but why the sudden change Agrien?"
  112. (Nerin)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [17:22] The teen had waved his hand toward himself after he's finished giving them a bow out of respect, they were Knights after all protecting their city well. While he's heard from Tyrith earlier that this was a General,
  116.
  117. "I am Nikólaos an Acolyte of the Church... Um, but you can call me Klaus if you'd like for short! It's a pleasure to meet you both."
  118.
  119. He begins to speak although stops, it seemed that Berend had taken the words right out of his mouth regarding what it was that they were looking for. He knew that finding Sir Robin wasn't going to be too hard, it was as Tyrith said most of the Knights seem to hang around this spot in particular.
  120. (Nikólaos)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [17:25] Champloo Borin says, "Aye."
  124. [17:25] A wedding..?
  125.
  126. Blinking a few times, she looks to the new face in the crowd. She was bad at this, how did Valero seem to always know everyone??
  127.
  128. Maybe Aria needed to get out more, being in the workshop so much was starting to make her a hermit. "Oh, well congratulations on the wedding..!" Always a happy occasion.
  129.
  130. "But, good to be meeting you both too! The pleasure is all ours-- But like my husband said, open to working on something that peeks ours interests." A duo of articifers, what a dangerous combo.
  131. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [17:29] "Ah."
  135.
  136. It's kind of strange to him to hear that she ended up with this change through accident alone, but.. if that made her satisfied with it? He didn't see any particular harm or reason to go back otherwise.
  137.
  138. "Looks good on you anyway, and I see."
  139.
  140. For now, he idly remains looking at what else was going on, humming in thought.
  141. (Nerin)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [17:29] Liliana cos Morneau says, "Hello Kircheis of course Champloo."
  145. [17:29] Liliana cos Morneau says, "Oh-"
  146. [17:29] Liliana cos Morneau says, "Congratulations Kircheis on your engagement."
  147. [17:29] Liliana smiles.
  148. (Liliana cos Morneau)
  149. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  150.
  151. [17:30] Liliana cos Morneau says, "Chris wasn't able to hide her smile as she was showing me her venue. "
  152. [17:30] Liliana cos Morneau says, "It was awfully sweet."
  153. [17:31] Liliana giggles.
  154. (Liliana cos Morneau)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [17:31] Liliana cos Morneau says, "Then it's certainly something you two can speak on. "
  158. [17:31] That wedding so casually mentioned was what caught and held his attention beyond the introductions. Pearly teeth flashed at Memmon though in truth he was not surprised to hear the news.
  159.
  160. Everything the young man had done was, by Valero's understanding, propelled forth by that desire to provide for and protect the woman who had caught Memmon's eye.
  161.
  162. "I would be honored to attend, Memmon. Our sincerest thanks and congratulations on what is to come. Count on us being there." The warmth in his expression lingered upon the Cadet for a moment before he turned to the other two men.
  163.
  164. Though he was nobility it affected the tone of his speech and the words chosen, but not the way in which he addressed people. "Well met there Berend Truesteel and Brother Klause."
  165.
  166. Chestnut hues flick to his wife once more bobbing his agreement, but some measure of question was in the glance he gave her precedinga cautious answer.
  167.
  168. "I might be able to assess your combat readiness myself if it cannot await Sir Robin."
  169. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [17:31] Champloo Borin says, "Congrats to ya Kircheis, first I heard of that."
  173. [17:31] Liliana cos Morneau says, "I'm about to show Champloo the location. "
  174. [17:32] Liliana cos Morneau says, "The church. "
  175. [17:32] Memmon Therasil says, "I'm glad. I'll see you there, sir."
  176. [17:34] Liliana cos Morneau exclaims, "Likewise!"
  177. [17:35] Berend looked over at Nikolaos, and remembered courtesy.
  178.
  179. "Much appreciated, Lord. You can give the lady a show if you'd be willing. Just a simple draw. Shed us some of your knowledge and strategies. They might help us in the future if the Church is ever under threat of being attacked."
  180.
  181. Militant, but he seemed to already be decently mettled himself. A few trailing marks of past conflict here and there on his features while Nikolaos was unblemished. He stood in for the two.
  182.
  183. "Thank you for the tip on Sir Robin. We'll seek him out later."
  184. (Berend)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [17:35] "Eh. It's really a big stretch to say that it's ugly.. I can see how someone's personal preferences may not allow them to enjoy it, but it's most definitely not ugly."
  188.
  189. "Just up to taste at that point."
  190.
  191. Though, as for his own? His lips idly purse in thought.. for he never was that good with dressing or picking out fashion choice. If anything, it's something a little alienated for him.
  192.
  193. "Ahah.. well.."
  194.
  195. "I used to wear a simple blue jacket back then and.. that's about it. Then, I used to wear official Knight attire, with Blazing Lions cloak, and that's about it."
  196.
  197. "Ever since I became Exarch, which was.. still relatively recent I think, I modified that uniform a bit - and I'm wearing what I have right now."
  198.
  199. So it means he's gone through three different major changes in general.
  200.
  201. "But, mm.."
  202.
  203. "I don't think I have that good of a fashion taste.. Marisol here tends to help me pick a good attire and something that befits me." A pause, and he adds.
  204.
  205. "Besides.. I think the one I have currently kind of fits me anyway, no?"
  206. (Nerin)
  207. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  208.
  209. [17:36] "Really?! It would be an honor, Sir Valero!"
  210.
  211. The Acolyte seemed rather excited that he was able to help them out with their mission, something that truly made him happy. He's heard the talks of another Acolyte and their wedding - maybe he could attend it if such a thing was going to be public.
  212.
  213. He follows a bow, in the end, patting Berend's back. It seemed that he didn't really have to do much of the talking as usual!
  214. (Nikólaos)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [17:37] Marísol whispers something.
  218. [17:37] Marísol glances over to Nerin. She nudges him lightly.
  219. (Marísol)
  220. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  221.
  222. [17:37] Nerin whispers something.
  223. [17:37] Marísol whispers something.
  224. [17:38] Nerin whispers something.
  225. [17:41] They would be sparring..?
  226.
  227. Giving a bit of a snicker, the woman nudges her husband some with a smile. "Mayhaps you let me spar them first, mhh? Dust off my non-existent skills?"
  228.
  229. The idea of it was funny but...In reality? Aria still had no real clue how to fight. The softness of her form made that apparent. Had she gotten lazy after two kids? Maybe.
  230.
  231. All the same, the idea makes her giggle like a fool.
  232.
  233. Clearly Valero was given approval.
  234. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  235. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  236.
  237. [17:42] Valero lux Montclaire says, "Hmm.. Very well, then. That sounds like a decent arrangement."
  238. [17:42] Valero lux Montclaire asks, "Shall we, then?"
  239. [17:42] Nikólaos exclaims, "Sounds well to me!.. Yes, sir!"
  240. [17:42] Nikólaos asks, "Oh uhm - do you know a place?"
  241. [17:42] Berend says, "Lead away, Lord Montclaire."
  242. [17:43] Valero lux Montclaire says, "I do, quite well."
  243. [17:43] Nikólaos says, "I will follow your lead, Lord Montclaire."
  244. [17:44] Valero lux Montclaire says, "Far southeast side of the city."
  245. [17:45] Nikólaos says, "Woah.. A neat spot."
  246. [17:45] Nikólaos exclaims, "Berend, you may go first if you wish!"
  247. [17:47] Berend looked out over the dojo. He pushed his heel against the wooden finish.
  248.
  249. "Fancy."
  250.
  251. He nodded a moment after at Nikolaos, and stepped over with his choice weapon for the moment, a staff to lighten to tone the training down.
  252.
  253. He'd hold it sidelong and look out at the Montclaires,
  254.
  255. "Whichever of you'd like to go first, that's fine by me. I'm eager to test myself. Maybe we'll both learn lessons here."
  256. (Berend)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259. [17:47] 'General' he may be yet the woman who held his heart called the shots during the down time. As she gave permission he winded through the streets and brought the party into the wide and open dojo.
  260.
  261. The suggestion had actually brought a smile to his lips and he settled down on a bench to watch, not intent to fight immediately. "You have got this, Aria. Just remember the forms."
  262.
  263. Valero was fully prepared to play the part of cheering sideliner despite how much of a curveball it had been.
  264. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  265. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  266.
  267. [17:50] The teen observes, wondering what it was that she had been capable of. This had been the wife of a General, after all. Who knew what kind of magic she had underneath her sleeve.
  268.
  269. "Woah, this should be cool.."
  270.
  271. The young Acolyte didn't expect to be testing his skills against a General today, this mission was going to be all kinds of interesting. He keeps his eyes on Berend.
  272.
  273. "Give it your best, Berend!"
  274. (Nikólaos)
  275. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  276.
  277. [17:51] Lifting a hand to lightly squeeze her husband's shoulder, the petite lady steps carefully into the dojo ring-- Only to pause and walk back to her husband.
  278.
  279. "Oh, my love, I don't have any weapons on me, do you have anything I could use..?"
  280.
  281. She was a mother after all, the type to nurture rather than fight.
  282. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  283. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  284.
  285. [17:52] Berend quirked a brow, catching only the tail end of his comment earlier.
  286.
  287. "General, hrn?" he mumbles. "This'll be an esteemed experience, either way. Thank you for allowing me the session."
  288. He'd move back and slip his staff back inside some kind of bag of holding,
  289.
  290. "That's fine, I can go without the weapon to even things if need be."
  291. (Berend)
  292. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  293.
  294. [17:57] As Aria approached the seemingly unarmed Valero he simply nodded in response to her request. His arm raised out to his side, eyes closing as he concentrated to speed the process.
  295.
  296. The beats from Geist came slow, but steady and three counts along the astral blade were all it took instead of the original ten. At the first emanation a white outline appeared in the form of a longsword.
  297.
  298. As the next beat came lights began to materialize in the dojo filling it briefly with crimson, gold, and cobalt hues which that outline drank in hungrily each mote becoming a part of the blade.
  299.
  300. When the last beat pushed out the blade was filled with starlight. The length was bright gold, the pommel a deep blue that held, and restrained, fiery rubies that pulsed with passion.
  301.
  302. Incandescene had been summoned and it waited unnaturally still for Aria to grasp it.
  303. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  304. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  305.
  306. [17:59] Berend looked off in awe at the weapon, holding his own back out since Aria'd fight after all with one.
  307.
  308. "Fancy heirloom there. Your wife'll wield it well."
  309.
  310. He looked at it for a moment, appraising the energy tempered into the metal and the magical gemstones. He'd never seen a weapon so keen, only heard of them from his homeland. He'd return to a modest watch, eyes peeled for whatever properties the blade might hold over his standard choice.
  311. (Berend)
  312. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  313.
  314. [18:03] Turns his head, spotting the magics that were gathered - with the manifestation of the white light coming and appearing in the form of a longsword. Something that he didn't expect, while he's shielded the display of it with his hand. Making sure to cover his eyes in particular! They were rather blinding after all, although what came next was something beautiful.
  315.
  316. A golden blade that was covered and seemed to have been bright gold, uncertain on what it was that it had done. But it looked to him like an interesting artifact, remaining silent and smiling. Things became even more interesting!
  317.
  318. "Oooh... That looks so cool!"
  319.
  320. He awaits for the match to start, standing at the edge of the bench. Excited even, the astral blade seemed rather unique. A family heirloom? Already wanting to see how it was that Miss Aria had wielded such a blade.
  321. (Nikólaos)
  322. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  323.
  324. [18:04] Watching and waited, the woman could only watch in some awe as his blade is summoned. The brilliant gold light, the magic that hummed through the air-- She could almost swear she heard the vibration of condensed power like a song.
  325.
  326. In the end a shining blade is summoned forth and delicate hands reach out to grab the hilt. "Thank you dear, I'll see if I can manage with this." Nodding a few times, she tests the weight of the blade, held out straight infront of her as she'd done with so many before, then wandered back to stand across from the snow haired male.
  327.
  328. "Right then...! Sorry for the wait, a spar then..!" Lifting the blade, both hands join together to hold it up. As if on cue, the living flora wrapped around the woman's head like a crown begins to bloom.
  329.
  330. A blade like this might give the Lady the little extra boost her magic would require.
  331.
  332. "Let's see if I can use a blade just as well as I can craft one, mmh?"
  333. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  334. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  335.
  336. [18:06] Berend studied Ariel for a moment, and got a cue on how she fought with the way her wreathe started to move, and bloom.
  337.
  338. He'd smile, "I'm sure you'll be a fine combatant. Don't expect too much from me."
  339.
  340. He slipped his hand back over his staff and sent a resonant wave of magic through out it, then he attacked.
  341.
  342. Straightforward. His magic would well up and carry far past the strokes of his staff, aiming to blast the floor underneath Aria and ensnare her!
  343. (Berend)
  344. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  345.
  346. [18:10] He observes for now wondering who it was that was going to be winning this match, seeing that she's wielded similar magic to his own. Even though she wasn't a fighter, she was indeed formidable! Even able to push Berend to use what it was that he specialized in best,
  347.
  348. "She's good... and that was close!"
  349.
  350. The funny thing is that she didn't consider herself much of a fighter, keeping his eyes glued to the battle. There was no counting Miss Aria out just yet!
  351. (Nikólaos)
  352. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  353.
  354. [18:11] Berend fought hard, giving it his genuine all. He was surprised to see a craftswoman fight quite as hard as a warrior that prided himself, but he knew not to underestimate a blacksmith of all things. They knew the weapons themselves like the back of their hand from crafting so many, least there was a strong ethos where he came from.
  355.
  356. He slumped down to recover some energy after blasting Montclaire back, respectively giving her some distance to take a keel and play recovery.
  357.
  358. "Good fight.. I admit, I didn't expect you to take that much out of me. That was anyone's game."
  359. (Berend)
  360. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  361.
  362. [18:14] It had been some time since he had seen his wife out on the practice field, but even still she had not rusted too much. All-in-all in was an admirable display considering the illness their daughter's birth had brought.
  363.
  364. As the rough came to end he made a hissing noise, sucking at his teeth, from how close it was. "Come on, dear! You've got this, take hold of the field and keep it!"
  365.
  366. One hand raised in the air to support her alongside his words before it fell back to his lap. A faint glance and smile was given to Klaus before his attention returned to the second bout.
  367. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  368. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  369.
  370. [18:16] Eva, how long ago had she trained with her friend? Something about this made her miss that girl. Then again...! How long had it been since Aria had last been in a fight..?! Forever and a day it felt..!
  371.
  372. Maybe it was time for her to be serious though?
  373.
  374. Getting knocked back, the woman could not help but laugh as her hair is tussled by wind and sound waves. Gripping the glowing blade with one hand, the other lifts Aria from her spot and brushes the dust off the back of her robes.
  375.
  376. "How fun..! You know, I've not gotten into a bout like this since I last trained with Ser Montclaire..!" Turning to look at her husband, a hand waves at him. "Maybe I should have taken those sword lessons before, huh?"
  377.
  378. Snickering now, she prepares herself again.
  379.
  380. "Okay..! This time I'll try to challenge you more, okay?"
  381. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  382. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  383.
  384. [18:18] Berend nodded, "Do your best. I can see this going both ways." He held his staff again and sent another pulse through the floor. It'd start the fight strong, can-openering the Montclaire's position so he can do his usual rush.
  385.
  386. He depended on being quick and up close, if his fighting style wasn't telling enough.
  387.
  388. He'd hinge on landing most of his hard-hitting attacks, and so, he'd try and keep pace with a potential change in strategy.
  389. (Berend)
  390. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  391.
  392. [18:22] Berend fought hard again, but all the same, he was impressed with this noblewoman. Even though she didn't have the training or the conditioning to cater to her fight, she still had the leeway of a natural talent. He rose and offered up a hand,
  393.
  394. "Thank you, it was an honor. You're a naturalborn warrior if I've ever seen one. Husband's picked a good egg. I'm up for testing your husband if he's ready."
  395.
  396. He nodded, prostrating himself briefly to pay some respects to the noblewoman before he'd straighten back up, and move over to Valero, towing his staff behind his heavy gait.
  397. (Berend)
  398. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  399.
  400. [18:23] Klaus smiles with how it was that Berend had managed to beat Miss Aria, although he didn't care about any of that - he wanted to have a go against her himself. They were both formidable fighters. Already eager to head on in on the dojo and test himself up against her while he's noticed that she used nature magic herself. The practice that he's taken up - in the end, the loss never mattered when it came to practice.
  401.
  402. "You two did great!"
  403.
  404. A valuable lesson was all a person had needed, while he's found it difficult himself to try and beat Berend. The guy always seemed to have beat him whenever they practiced. He jumps off the seat, eager to see how he could do against Aria. This mission Miss Yiel sent them out to do was fun, it seemed as though Berend wanted to take all the fun for himself though.
  405.
  406. "My turn my turn!"
  407. (Nikólaos)
  408. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  409.
  410. [18:26] Though she had not won it had still been a close display. No doubt sharpness would return in time, "I am still open to teaching, you know." He replies as he crossed the distance to place a hand on his wife's arm.
  411.
  412. Briefly his voice was low before he glanced between Berend and Nikólaos. "I suppose it's my turn to take up the blade then." His hand extended towards the blade waiting on his wife to place the weightless blade in his palm.
  413.
  414. He was certain he could have yet summoned it away from her, but that would be just plain rude.
  415. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  416. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  417.
  418. [18:27] Valero lux Montclaire whispers something.
  419. [18:30] Unable keep from laughing as she got up once more, a nod was given to her sparring partner. "Good fight, good fight..! I'm sure in time maybe Valero can make me a fighter yet." The idea was somewhat funny, but she smiled at the man all the same.
  420.
  421. Leaning in to whisper back to the Radiant, her attention is placed on Nikolaos. He wanted a bout too? My, she was popular today..! "Mhh, mind if I fight him and then give it back..?", she asked as she turned to the dark haired man.
  422.
  423. Clutching the blade to her chest, she fluttered her long lashes. "It's just so pretty, I want to use it a little bit longer, you know..? I feel like a warrior princess.."
  424. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  425. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  426.
  427. [18:31] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  428. [18:31] Berend says, "We can take the other side of the dojo if you'd like, Lord Montclaire. I'll fight without a weapon."
  429. [18:31] Valero lux Montclaire whispers something.
  430. [18:33] Whatever words he had exchanged with his wife in quiet had elicited a chuckle, but he grinned broadly at that last comment. "I do not wish to impede upon her majesty, then." He replies with an exaggerated bow of his head.
  431.
  432. He withdraws back towards the stools, but does not sit this time instead opting to watch with arms folded. "I've plenty of time yet if you have, Berend. If that's the case I would like to watch my wife fight once more."
  433. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  434. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  435.
  436. [18:34] Berend slipped his staff back in one of those magical holdings a wizard'd given him earlier during contract. He stepped over and gave a congratulatory nod to the Lady Montclaire. It was a narrow victory, now he was curious to see how Nikolaos would do against somebody with a similar skillset.
  437.
  438. "Good luck, boy." he grinned, smacking him to send him stumbling into the center of the arena.
  439.
  440. "I can wait, Lord Montclaire." he sits down, opting out with a nod.
  441. (Berend)
  442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  443.
  444. [18:34] The boy seemed rather energetic - although he wanted to fight Valero too. The General was someone that was respected in the community to such a degree, considering it an honor to even be blessed by his presence. There was no doubt in that, however, he's laid his eyes on Aria who was equally as strong as well. Happy that they were all enjoying themselves inside of the dojo, wishing to test his skills.
  445.
  446. "You did incredible, miss! I will leave it up to you two if you wish to fight yet again. Err - I can wait if need be as well."
  447.
  448. He says waving his hands, not wanting to seem too needy. Although it seems that they come to the conclusion, wishing to test Aria's own fighting capabilities listening to her words about feeling like a warrior princess. A smile on his face, standing on the opposite side.
  449.
  450. "Yay!"
  451. (Nikólaos)
  452. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  453.
  454. [18:37] Berend crossed his arms as the two meeted each other out.
  455.
  456. "It's an honor." He said, knelt over in his seat with his elbows over and his offhand in his lap. A broadsword which he fought more frequently with, but it seemed he had reservations about whether he'd pursue it or the staff.
  457.
  458. "Fighting a General, anyways. I haven't met too many knights, so I'm eager to test my skills against one. Never thought it'd be against somebody so esteemed."
  459.
  460. He grinned.
  461. (Berend)
  462. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  463.
  464. [18:39] The Acolyte left the natural magic to surround him, vines sprouting through the use of his energy while he's laid his eyes on Aria. He saw what it was that she had been capable of, although wondered what else it was that she's known. Maybe some tricks up her sleeve!
  465.
  466. A bow of respect sent her way, wondering how it was that he was going to be doing against her. She was so close to beating Berend and he's always found him to be quite the difficult opponent,
  467.
  468. "I will give it my best! You're a really strong fighter from what I have seen, Miss Aria."
  469.
  470. The teen seemed determined, holding the staff in his hand and channeling magic through it. The blade she wielded looked totally awesome, although he didn't bring such a thing up. Sir Valero likely took it to many fights.
  471. (Nikólaos)
  472. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  473.
  474. [18:39] Grinning at Valero as he trailed back to the watching area, the woman once more took up a rather...Shaky stance. Maybe with more training she could actually use the blade and win a battle?
  475.
  476. "Isn't he just a sweetheart? Letting a lady fight first? Such a gentleman.", she commented before focusing on Nikolaos.
  477.
  478. "Aww, well aren't you just too sweet? I look forward to this spar and, maybe it's not the point but...Let's have fun, yeah?" It seems the Lady Montclaire was in good spirits today..!
  479.
  480. "Ready yourself..!"
  481. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  482. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  483.
  484. [18:45] Berend looked over, watching the intense fight. It was razor close, once again, and the healing magics certainly drew the conclusion out. It was good to see Nikolaos hone himself. Berend had grown attached to the boy, much like a would-be father. Looming over him as a guardian is he'd started to do unconsciously now.
  485.
  486. "..A fine fight; your wife's something else. Give her some lessons and she'll shred any brigand or bandit from end to end of this continent to ribbons." His smile widens, and a brow goes up at the mention of a squad.
  487.
  488. "Huh, you'd offer that to me..? My kind aren't very liked here." Berend lowly admitted, training his eyes to broadsword suddenly. He took up a greasecloth and began wiping the blood-red ends, wettened from his last skirmish.
  489. (Berend)
  490. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  491.
  492. [18:46] Berend says, "Truth be told, my impression of the knights is not a good one. It can't be helped, I suppose, but I'm changing my opinions as time goes. My ideas: my preconceptions."
  493. [18:46] Berend says, "The Church has been very kind to Nikolaos and I."
  494. [18:48] The teen was surprised by how the battle had gone, understanding that she wasn't the fighting type but for someone like her.. she had been doing rather well, bowing and beginning to prepare himself yet again to see what it was that she was capable of.
  495.
  496. Seeing her tactics, they were a rather smart one. Slowing someone down with the winds and using the tornados to pick away at them, a smile on his face though. He loved those that used nature magic as well,
  497.
  498. "Here I come, Miss Aria!... I see that you use magic to my own, I like that!"
  499.
  500. He begins to distance himself letting her get back up, the vines sprouting around yet again. When it came to his opponent - with that golden sword she was probably unpredictable. But it did look cool on her. A bow of respect, thankful of that fact.
  501.
  502. "Thank you for honoring me with a fight!"
  503. (Nikólaos)
  504. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  505.
  506. [18:49] As the first bout came to an end Valero nodded his agreement. Aria could yet be a formidable force. A bit of correction in form and the addition of a few of his own moves..
  507.
  508. Whatever thought had been running through his mind was halted and killed at Berend's words there and his gaze fell upon the man curious, a thin eyebrow raised in question.
  509.
  510. "What do you mean your kind, Berend?"
  511. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  512. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  513.
  514. [18:53] Warriors were in a league of their own..!
  515.
  516. Struggling to keep up, the only thing keeping Aria on her toes was wind magic and a healthy amount of nature magic to reinvigorate her body!
  517.
  518. In the end though, the woman had been home sick for a little too long, enjoying a cushiony life she dreamt of as a child. The once-maid needed to get back into shape though..!
  519.
  520. That's what her burning lungs told her...
  521.
  522. Laughing as she stumbled back, she tried to give a bow of her own-- But ended up using her husband's sword as a cane to hld herself up. "Oof..! You're giving me a run for my money, hold on..Ahaha..!" Strong than the last or-- More resistant? His nature magic made the fight last longer than intended. That was her hook after all..! Outlasting them..!
  523.
  524. Standing up again, having caught her breath, the Monteclaire offers a smile. "Another bout, mhh? Then you can fight my husband..! Gotta get my energy out now or I'll just be all types of sassy..!"
  525. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  526. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  527.
  528. [18:54] Berend looked back up, hesitating a moment to say anything before he put his attention to Nikolaos firstly. The boy received a golf clap from Berend. Then a silence settled in, a dour quiet.
  529.
  530. "..Nothing."
  531.
  532. "Just the color of my skin, is all." He eventually smiled. "I don't see too many dark kin out here." He'd nod, moving his broadsword back up in place of his staff as a crutch, holding it pommel first to the floor as he leaned in on it for a closer look.
  533. (Berend)
  534. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  535.
  536. [18:58] The teen was put down, shocked that she managed to beat him this time around! Although she was truly something else, there was no doubt about that. The boy could see now why she almost managed to defeat Berend. He was going to have to play things far safer than how he did just now.
  537.
  538. "W-Woah! That was incredible, the way your winds were blowing all around me and boom!"
  539.
  540. He knew that things changed rather quickly, although had to understand that he was to be doing the same thing she was - instead of playing the offensive role in the battle. The two of them were one and the same, with the winds that struck him he's hit the ground - and bounced back on his two feet after.
  541.
  542. "G-gah! That was incredible... I'll have to be far more careful, you're something else Miss Aria."
  543. (Nikólaos)
  544. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  545.
  546. [18:59] The Radiant gave a pensive nod at that statement, "Some will find offense at anything." He responds casting his attention back toward the fight between the two nature magi.
  547.
  548. As of late the loss of the wild song the trees used to sing to him had come to hurt less. It was soothed away under that same benevolent light and he felt removed from the world at large at times as a result.
  549.
  550. "..But, I wager your blood is red and hot as any. That's what matters, Berend. The contents of one's heart." He pauses and begins to clap his hands together in applause for Aria.
  551.
  552. "Just like that, love!" After a moment his clapping dies down and he grins as though the topic had not been grim at all. "The Vigilant already have the stigma of being composed of those from Sudbury, some Rhoynish, others of lesser renown."
  553.
  554. His shoulders rise and fall, "But, such things do not concern us. There is a place in The Light for all and any who prove themselves capable to bear the aegis of Order are welcomed by my reckoning."
  555. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  556. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  557.
  558. [19:02] Finally seeming to get the hang of things, a swarm of spores and howling winds barely decided the bout between the two nature magi. Where earth had once made her crumble, the woman had learned to avoid as much damage as possible and the result?
  559.
  560. Barely claiming round two! Yay!
  561.
  562. At the end of their fight, the Lady Montclair had sprouted a glowing tree of health for the express use of holding up her weight for her. Leaning on the tree as energy slowly returned to her sore limbs, a thumbs-up is offered the Nikolaos.
  563.
  564. "Thank you..! You make this /very/ tough for me though-- Jeez, I've not run like that since my eldest son ran streaking from his bath..", she muttered.
  565.
  566. Now the second one thought it was funny.
  567.
  568. "I like your use of nature magic though, I'd be lying if I said I was not copying you a little-- You're a strong boy, I look forwards to seeing your growth..!"
  569.
  570. Having said that, vines push the poor womanback on her feet and Aria grips Incandescene one last time. "Alright, this is the last fight I get to use Valero's pretty sword! Let's make it a good one..!"
  571. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  572. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  573.
  574. [19:03] Berend listened intently to Valero and what he had to say. A knight order that took in miscreants, the downtrodden and the like didn't sound all too knightly. Yet, what constituted a knight, he thought. Their shining armor, their noble blood, their fineries of life?
  575.
  576. It's a question Berend had always loathed and thought about, but perhaps the Vigilant judged people on heart, character and virtue as opposed to where they came from, or who they were.
  577.
  578. "I haven't heard that saying in awhile. It's true enough; it's the man and the soul that matters. Least to me. I could care less the shape it comes in, or the colors."
  579.
  580. He ground his blade against a whetting stone, getting it ready for a match with Valero, "It does sound interesting, I have to admit. I won't make any promises though, and I should expect you want to see my skill put against yours before any decisions are made. All the same, you're a virtuous man. I can tell that much."
  581.
  582. He smiled lightly.
  583.
  584. "Not oft I meet a man of your stock."
  585. (Berend)
  586. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  587.
  588. [19:09] The match had ended with his defeat! The swarm of spores managed to slow him down, while the howling winds had proved to have been far more offensive when it came to what it was that she was wielding. Being beat onto the ground now, raising himself up rather slowly while he's noticed that her own particular fighting style was amazing. The boy didn't expect the up close and personal strike that she's managed to maneuver with the blade - it surprised him! But it was a rather smart tactic.
  589.
  590. "W-Woah! I see now why you almost beat Berend, you truly are something else, ma'am." He's panted slowly getting back up on his two feet, there was sweat on his forehead. She seemed to have grasped a few things, while he's known that they were similar fighters through their use of nature itself. A slow bow being sent her way, the Radiant must have been way stronger though - thinking about what it was that he had likely been capable of.
  591.
  592. "Thank you for blessing me with such a match!"
  593. (Nikólaos)
  594. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  595.
  596. [19:09] Though he was a nobleman he had cast off much of the perks that came with it until his promotion to Radiant wherein the luxury of servants became a necessity if he wished to have any time at all.
  597.
  598. "Mh, it's an old one, but true. It embodies that entire way of thinking."
  599.
  600. Initially the compliments had embarrassed the man and would bring a dark tint to his bronze skin, but now it slid past as a confirmation that he acted as his star wished.
  601.
  602. "Ah, you honor me with such kind words, Berend. The Vigilant are full of men of a similar mind and heart." His attention turns to his wife and he chuckles against at the mention of Vincent's antics.
  603.
  604. "Hahahahh, ah-" He bobs away the last of the mirth, "You are right though I should have to see your prowess for myself first yet in my experience ability can always be taught. Mindset is the hard part to find."
  605. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  606. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  607.
  608. [19:13] May the stars have mercy, she needed to end this fast, she was FAR too tired to be fighting two readied warriors back-to-back like this. Huffing and puffing, she stops a moment to take a deep breath and--
  609.
  610. Her form seems to blur as her vibrantly colored robe causes her after-image to look somewhat distracting..! Racing across the battlegrounds with sudden speeds the Radiant's wife came down upon Nikolaos with her full force. Nature knelt to her command and the constant stream of healing power gave her enough energy to keep up the absurd speed.
  611.
  612. Slowing him and battering him with spores and wind was all she could manage, but it did well enough and the poor teen was sent tumbling back..! Oddly enough though, it seems vines sought to catch him and offer a cushioned blow. She was a mother after all.
  613.
  614. Hurting folk was not something she liked..!
  615.
  616. Wheezing now, the young woman offers another thumbs up and a smile. "Yes..! You honor me..! Thank you for goingalong with my antics-- Sometimes I just like to get in a bit of exercise.." Oh boy, and did she ever get it..!
  617.
  618. "You have a good spirit to you, keep training so I can get an excuse to borrow my husband's weapon to spar with against you, yes..?"
  619. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  620. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  621.
  622. [19:13] Berend stood up as the fight came to a close, rather eager for a fight. Failing that, he just had a healthy appetite for combat.
  623.
  624. "Glad I do, but I'm not much of a sycophant. I just give praise when I think it's deserved. Let's stand and fight. I'm very eager to see your magics and strengths."
  625.
  626. He nodded. Berend looked visibly excited to fight an opponent that was much more mettled than his wife, no doubt, and just as cunning.
  627. (Berend)
  628. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  629.
  630. [19:16] "Of course, if need be I will practice with you Miss Aria!... I was surprised, truth be told you managed to polish your style rather well."
  631.
  632. The spores managed to slow him down, this was something that he was going to have to take into account when he fought people of his own.
  633.
  634. "I'm sure, Lord Valero will be able to help you out with your swordsmanship as well. I feel as though you know how to fight up close well."
  635. (Nikólaos)
  636. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  637.
  638. [19:20] The discussion has been more heartfelt and in-depth than he had anticipated, but the dance of battle had that effect on people. The most he had ever spoken to some soldiers was when they returned from a mission.
  639.
  640. Still as Aria won the Radiant came to his feet, "Yes, excellent work!" He cheered hands coming together for another bout of brief applause. "Well fought, both of you."
  641.
  642. Already that rust was chipping away and she was showing that same fighting spirit he knew lie dormant in there. The woman she became when she donned the armor.
  643.
  644. As his hands fell they did not come to his side, but outstretched toward his wife as he crossed the distance to embrace her in congratulations. "Hm, a few different tricks here or there and you would be a force when you're up on someone like that."
  645. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  646. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  647.
  648. [19:23] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  649. [19:24] Berend moved to the center of the field, surprised to see Nikolaos lose, but the woman underneath all the filligree and noble finery there was a warrior for sure.
  650.
  651. "You fought well, when you become a man you'll be something else."
  652.
  653. He clapped Nikolaos on the back and smiled, giving him another congratulatory smack to the back of the head, albeit a playful one instead of something aimed to knock him senseless.
  654. (Berend)
  655. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  656.
  657. [19:24] Laughing some at her husband's cheering, a hand lifts to lightly 'boop' the tip of his nose with a smile. "Aww, you're acting like I won a war my love-- But thank you, any and all praise is appreciated, I am a sucker for compliments."
  658.
  659. Leaning in, she whispered something softly before laughing. Their inside joke felt rather on-tune with this. Accepting his embrace, her free hand pats his back. "A force, huh..? Maybe I should get back into my training. Maybe then I could catch your sons when they're up to their antics.." They took after him, after all.
  660.
  661. Trouble makers, all of them..!
  662.
  663. "I'll be sure to start training with you then, maybe I'll even join the order as your cadet?" The idea of it was humorous, but possible..!
  664. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  665. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  666.
  667. [19:24] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  668. [19:26] He thought about it, for now, perhaps Berend had been right. He was still young and there was time for him to grow, feeling his smack on the back of his head although it was all too playful of him.
  669.
  670. "I hope so! I'll be sure to surprise those around me."
  671.
  672. There was a flashy smile on his face, wondering if it was time now for the two of them to have their match. Wishing to see how strong Valero had been! A radiant was someone that was respected by the community.
  673. (Nikólaos)
  674. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  675.
  676. [19:28] He continued to smile warmly a brief wink given to whatever she had whispered. He returned with his own quiet response though a mischievous shine was in his eyes as he glanced over at the other two after giving his wife a squeeze.
  677.
  678. "Berend is right, that was a worthwhile display Klaus." As he withdraws he holds out his hand questioning this time. "It is a shame to part with such a fun blade, I know." He offers in consolation.
  679.
  680. The weightlessness of it allowed for some maneuvers which just were not possibly with material blades unless one honed themselves beyond what even he had.
  681.
  682. "Mh, I would get to boss you around during the day, then you boss me around at home. I like it, it has a balance."
  683. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  684. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  685.
  686. [19:30] Beren'd wait out the antics of a man and his wife, not particularly pressed to interrupt them. He leaned on his sword,
  687.
  688. "That you will, boy. That you will. Trust in that much. We'll have to go looking for Sir Robin after this is all over, hopefully he hasn't retired for the night."
  689.
  690. He nods, giving a gruff confirmation before he stood up and squared himself, centermass with the other beast of a man clad in armor with the royal blade. He was keenly interested in seeing a fight through, win or lose, so he could see just where he needed to be.
  691.
  692. The unevened edge of his staff came out as well, held sidelong as spellwork stirred within.
  693. (Berend)
  694. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  695.
  696. [19:31] Valero lux Montclaire whispers something.
  697. [19:32] Scoffing some, the blade is handed over the Valero as a kiss is placed on his cheek.
  698.
  699. "Go get 'em then, Radiant, show them how much more effective that blade is in the proper hands."
  700.
  701. Having said that she steps over to the stools and sits down-- But not before whispering one last thing.
  702. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  703. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  704.
  705. [19:32] Aria cos Montclaire whispers something.
  706. [19:38] His grin, more a smirk now, was only furthered by the words that followed that kiss and he tossed a sly wink the woman's way as she settled in to watch the fight.
  707.
  708. That title of Radiant had become acceptable and even normal, but when she said it those wave of surrealism still surfaced. "I'll do my best not to disappoint, my lady."
  709.
  710. Incandescene roses as he tested the weight, despite that intimate familiarity with it, and it seemed as though his limb had returned to full length has his wielded it once more.
  711.
  712. "Well, I was going to go a bit easy, but I suppose that would be insulting considering our conversation." A surge emanates forth from the blade, a wave of pressure that can be felt, as those colorful embers were summoned once more.
  713.
  714. This time they did not feed into the blade itself, but coalesced at the edges. Red, blue, and gold swirled in translucent and iridescent patterns that shifted as though an impossible depth lie therein.
  715.
  716. As the embers disappeared once more another golden light appeared at his chest in the shape of an orb right before his solar plexus. As he pulled at his astral tether it began to swell rapidly until it enveloped him.
  717.
  718. His features became indistinct wreathed in that pale red-gold light, eyes alighting with the same golden glow as his mana coursed through him enhancing his sense and reactions.
  719.
  720. "When you are ready, Berend."
  721. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  722. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  723.
  724. [19:41] Berend tensed at the tidal wave of magic swelling around Montclaire. It was much stronger. His presence inspired a challenge. He did not think himself to win, but he didn't knock his chances down either. No, Berend'd present himself as an eager opponent, ready to think and switch up his strategies if need be. He slipped his foot ahead of himself and nodded,
  725.
  726. "You honor me."
  727.
  728. He pushes off with that, and meets the man out with a slam of his staff. Sound magic reverberating through the floor to claim the ground underneath Montclaire in bright, bleeding glyphic seals before he followed up with a slash of razor wind from his free hand.
  729.
  730. His first tiem fighting a cosmic mage, this definitely excited him.
  731. (Berend)
  732. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  733.
  734. [19:43] The Acolyte stretches a bit, his eyes were on the strange aura that manifested around Valero. He recognized it as the cosmic magic, aware of people that followed the teachings of the stars. Thus far he had used it to guide him through his journey - keeping his eyes on the match.
  735.
  736. "Woah!"
  737.
  738. The match went rather fast, seeing how quickly such a thing had ended.
  739. (Nikólaos)
  740. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  741.
  742. [19:43] Berend gritted his teeth. It was no contest. The attacks came in such a blinding flurry, he knew not what to do, though he managed to telegraph atleast one of the attacks and understand a way to disbar the rest of it.
  743.
  744. "..That was amazing. I've never been put down that fast."
  745.
  746. He admitted, a tad ashamed he didn't provide as much of a challenge as he thought he might, but eager to see the second round through just as well as the first.
  747.
  748. The man's attitude wasn't affected.
  749. (Berend)
  750. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  751.
  752. [19:46] Watching the sheer speed of her husband, Aria can't help but smile some. The way he moved, the speed and sheer skill--
  753.
  754. IF they were not married she'd probably be too shy to ever talk to someone that strong. Then again...Thoughts go back to when they first met, how they'd spoken in this exact Dojo.
  755.
  756. . . .
  757.
  758. Maybe it was time to give herself more credit?
  759.
  760. All the same, she lifts her hands to clap loudly. "Well done..! Fierce as always my love..!" There is a pause-- Then she stood up, cupped her hands and yelled a request.
  761.
  762. "Do a flip in the next fight..!" Still as goofy as ever.
  763. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  764. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  765.
  766. [19:49] The power of Geist was an infinite wellspring of might for him to draw from, even when his body could not handle the flow of mana, and it lent unnaturally heightened speed and might behind every blow.
  767.
  768. In a moment it was over, distance afforded between the two by a blow, and the Radiant inclined his head. "You will adjust to the patterns." He confirms to the younger man.
  769.
  770. He had not held back whatsoever, but even still the display had not been without its pointers. "Do not be afraid to trade blows." It was brief advice, but the younger swordsman had scored a decent blow during his flurry.
  771.
  772. Once more Incandescene rose as he waited, a faint smile leaking through those features obscured by light. A flip? Very well.
  773. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  774. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  775.
  776. [19:51] "That was incredible, Sir Valero!"
  777.
  778. He had said observing the match go down, such a thing was something that he hadn't laid his eyes before. Berend had gone down relatively quickly, all proving that Valero was quite the opponent. Certain that he was an amazing fighter as a whole and probably saw a lot of wars,
  779.
  780. "I must applaud you for such."
  781. (Nikólaos)
  782. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  783.
  784. [19:51] Berend nodded, taking the advice to heart. After all, the Priestess sent him here with the intention of arming him with better wit and tact in combat, not just leave empty-handed with a beating. He pushes off, affording him little space this time - he'd try and switch it up with a different attack as so.
  785.
  786. "Let's go."
  787.
  788. He nodded.
  789.
  790. Curious to see if he could do better than the last score he'd put in the man's armor. There was something curious about the way he fought, and the magic he used however, something he'd never seen before.
  791. (Berend)
  792. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  793.
  794. [19:54] Paid close attention to how it was that they were both going, surprised that he had managed to muster up such magic! It proved to have been relatively intriguing, proud to see that Valero had been a magician who studied the arts of cosmic.
  795.
  796. "That was incredible, Sir Valero! You did well too, Berend. We have a long way to go." He says to his comrade, they could both grow stronger together and become proper Exorcists.
  797.
  798. "Then we will be able to spread our love to the community!"
  799. (Nikólaos)
  800. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  801.
  802. [19:57] That second bout was much harder won and indeed the wind Magi did adjust to the patterns just as predicted, but also there was more aggression and confidence in the attacks.
  803.
  804. Stroke for stroke he advanced trying to maintain the pressure upon Berend. Though Incandescene was a glorious blade it was not his sole method of assault.
  805.
  806. Cosmic-infused body-checks closed any distance that Berend opened up and that gleaming sword was soon to follow to fill in any gaps. Body and blade worked in tandem to bring down the younger man.
  807.
  808. At last opportunity opens as Berend rushes in only for the Radiant to leap into the air, twirling end over end, to land behind the man with his palm out.
  809.
  810. A wave of raw cosmic energy began to pelt the man, but it was cut short prematurely before any true damage could be done. As it was it proved enough to create distance and unsteady his opponent enough that a victor was clear.
  811.
  812. Valero pauses and bows his head to Berend, "You listened to the advice and switched up how you fought in the middle of a battle despite the odds you were against. Not mere words to state that was a worthy display."
  813. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  814. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  815.
  816. [20:01] He did it..!
  817.
  818. Unable to keep from clapping like a giddy fool, Aria's laughter fills the dojo for a brief few moments. It was rather melodic and sweet.
  819.
  820. "You did the thing..! Yes..!"
  821.
  822. How strange it was that those little things could bring so much joy.
  823. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  824. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  825.
  826. [20:01] Berend was left bereft of any attacks to use, at most times. The sheer pressure and speed of cosmic magic, and the swordsmanship Valero used in tandem with it exhausted almost every attack he had. Yet, he pressed on, using his razor thin waves to score into the man's armor, and his sound magic to hit deep, traumatic notes through his body - which, of course, were repaired afterward, given the nature of the fight.
  827.
  828. All the same, it was a blow for a blow, but he was not quite as mighty as the Radiant yet, nor arrogant enough to believe he could match him without the same amount of mettling, experience and confidence that he had.
  829.
  830. The dark skinned man arose after taking a breather, skidding across the dojo grounds. He knelt over only briefly, before catching himself on his staff.
  831.
  832. "..That was something else. I've never fought anybody like you before."
  833.
  834. Which must have made his sudden adjustment all the more impressive, he was sure of that, but he wasn't boastful.
  835.
  836. "Thank you, Lord Montclaire. I try to take what people tell me to heart and analyze it. It's hard to correct a mistake, but it's more about the fear of change than anything. I've improved a lot since when I first picked up a weapon or any magic. But you, you're something else. I've a long ways to go still."
  837.
  838. He admitted. He was a man, but he hadn't come into his strengths just yet, or his potential.
  839. (Berend)
  840. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  841.
  842. [20:02] Made sure to take notes of what just gone down, seeing it as a rather interesting fight between the two. Berend did well in switching up his own fighting style, although the General was far more experienced. He was lucky to have received a battle from a man so talented.
  843.
  844. He wanted to give it a go himself, getting off the bench. To fight someone who used Cosmic, the magic that they were studying - his first time as well was something that he wished as well. Truth be told this was the first time he has seen his friend lose.
  845.
  846. "I wish to have a match against you as well, Sir Montclaire!... You did incredible from what I saw."
  847. (Nikólaos)
  848. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  849.
  850. [20:03] Nikólaos says, "Berend, I have never seen you lose before!.. Wah... Sir Montclaire is incredible."
  851. [20:07] Aria cos Montclaire asks, "He's pretty great, huh?"
  852. [20:08] Nikólaos says, "I-Incredible.. I thought you were super strong, Miss Aria."
  853. [20:09] He had known it was the little things that made these segues from their life worthwhile. Who was he to deny a little acrobatic eye-candy for his waiting wife?
  854.
  855. As Berend regained himself the man nodded, "I am blessed to have the Leonaus constellation lend me its strength." He hefts the blade back up, chin dipping toward it.
  856.
  857. "It is funny you called Incandescene an heirloom." Though spouting dogma was not usual for him it seemed these two might appreciate the knowledge. "It belongs to all who seek a better world. Might be one day one of you two could find yourself holding it as well."
  858.
  859. A strange smile spreads across his lips, shoulders rising and falling, "Especially if you are so committed to bettering yourself, Berend." With that his free hand raises to beckon Nikólaos forward.
  860.
  861. "Come, Klaus. Let us have our match, then."
  862. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  863. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  864.
  865. [20:11] Aria cos Montclaire says, "Oh, I'm nothing compared to him.."
  866. [20:11] Berend quirked a brow at that, then chuckled. "..hrn."
  867.
  868. He flirted with the idea a bit, but didn't pay it much more mind than that. "Thank you for the opportunity all the same. You gave me some experience I sorely needed."
  869.
  870. He stepped aside and moved over to the benches to wrap any bruises, still in awe a slight.
  871.
  872. The sheer odds, and power emanating from the General. He was every bit as worthy of the title and with how he was able to inspire others, the role of leadership suited him.
  873.
  874. There was an airy wave,
  875.
  876. "You're next, Nikolaos. Good luck, boy." he grinned.
  877. (Berend)
  878. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  879.
  880. [20:12] Aria cos Montclaire exclaims, "Okay-- Valero, do...Uhh-- A catchy one-liner..!"
  881. [20:13] He gets off the bench himself, switching spots with Valero while he's eyed the weapon that had been wielded by him from afar. They could wield such a thing if they proved themselves and sought a better world?
  882.
  883. The teen didn't see himself as much of a fighter in the future, more on the Priest and religion side although who knew things could change - he was going to ensure that the lands were purified and he's been able to understand the community around him.
  884.
  885. "Thank you for honoring me with a match, my good sir!"
  886.
  887. He bows prepared to have at it against the General himself, proud that such an honor was bestowed upon him. A match against one of the Order's best, while the church was the sister branch of their military.
  888. (Nikólaos)
  889. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  890.
  891. [20:18] Once more a faint, but polite bow of his head was offered preceding the actual battle, "You are quite welcome, Nikólaos." They were a well-mannered and friendly lot and their kind treatment of his wife had left a pleasant curl to his lips the whole time.
  892.
  893. Presently his mind raced as he readjusted the blade and tried to think of what catchy one-liner would do. There was the joke that he always kept up with Ravan.
  894.
  895. That one phrase that annoyed the fallen Vigilant so much, but always provoked a fit of laughter when he ended a spar with it. He nods more resolute, "Ready when you are, my friend."
  896.
  897. It would be a good way to honor the dead and amuse the living.
  898. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  899. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  900.
  901. [20:20] The Acolyte was curious about what it was to expect from him, smiling at Valero while the vines began to grow from the area around him. Being able to tell that he was tough! Far tougher than Miss Aria, which shocked even him - it was no wonder why they made a nice couple.
  902.
  903. "Here I come, sir!"
  904.
  905. Spotting how Berend had lost rather quickly made him wonder what it was to expect, while there was an evident bead of sweat formed on the boy's forehead. This was a General of the most powerful military in all of Esshar.
  906. (Nikólaos)
  907. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  908.
  909. [20:21] Valero lux Montclaire exclaims, "FACE JUSTICE!"
  910. [20:21] Aria cos Montclaire says, "..Goodness."
  911. [20:25] Klaus found himself beat relatively easy, something that shocked him - although he was to expect such a thing especially from how it was that he's gone up against Berend. There was no doubt in his mind that he was completely outmatched when it came to battle experience.
  912.
  913. "Woaah!"
  914.
  915. He's sent flying with him dashing right at him through the use of the cosmic magic, sent tumbling back - although he raises himself off the ground. Still noticing that he didn't manage at all to even get a scratch on him! What a tough opponent. Bouncing back up on his two feet, prepared yet again.
  916.
  917. "Here I come! You truly are something else, Sir Montclaire. I will be sure to take notes through our battle it is an honor I will truly never forget."
  918.
  919. The vines sprout back around him, prepared to defend him while he's used his art of the earth to try and protect himself while dishing out attacks of his own.A switch of strategy was something that he needed against him, there was no doubt.
  920. (Nikólaos)
  921. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  922.
  923. [20:26] Berend clapped, he knew Nikolaos was about to get schooled in virtually every principle of war, but it was the journey. Not winning or losing against somebody as sharp or masterful as the Montclaire had proven.
  924.
  925. And this, this is was their mission. To learn something.
  926.
  927. Berend had learned much, even from a quick few minutes of decisive combat. He hoped Nikolaos learned something in kind.
  928.
  929. "That's something else, truly. It makes me want to grow stronger."
  930. (Berend)
  931. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  932.
  933. [20:31] The Radiant did not hold back in the slightest as these two sought to test themselves yet he did not fight with the same righteous rage as when he marched out against the forces of darkness.
  934.
  935. That was an aspect he could not muster even if he wanted to and the civilized people of Osrona were all the better for not seeing it. Instead was the light-hearted man he was afforded in times of relative peace and safety.
  936.
  937. At the end of a particularly brutal set of swipes Valero pauses, his form begins to glow, and in a burst of speed he dashes at Niko for one of the famous hypercharged body-checks, "Face Justice!"
  938.
  939. As the blow connected sending Klaus sprawling, but not at all dampening his spirits the man began to laugh loud and musically, the note ringing through. He laughed for his wife's request, the spirit of these young men, and for those who could not share in their merriment any longer.
  940.
  941. They could yet be the seed of their joy if not there to partake in the fruits of it.
  942.
  943. "And grow stronger the two of you surely shall." Pearly teeth shine through beyond that golden light around him and he nods lifting the blade up once more, "Your passions are admirable, I must admit."
  944.
  945. No matter how he had battered the young priest he had quite literally bounced back in extraordinary fashion. That sort of heartening sight lent credence to everything they did.
  946.
  947. "Be sure to use your Yggdrasil, Klaus. Nature magi are meant to control the field so keep your distance from me unless you have a trick up your sleeve. Otherwise you will want to devise a way to acquire and hold that distance."
  948. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  949. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  950.
  951. [20:32] Nikólaos says, "I see sir! Thank you for the tip. I will be sure to give it my best."
  952. [20:33] Aria snickered some, smile beaming as she watched the fight.
  953. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  954. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  955.
  956. [20:39] Berend continued to watch, impressed as ever by Valero's abilities. His style countered the fledgeling druid's style as it stood for the moment, but when he developed it more and matured, the outcome might change he figured. Or least, his attack power and control over said battlefield. He gave a slow, belated golf clap again and smiled.
  957.
  958. Theatrically, the final round was much more impressive than the first. Two massive attacks slated against each other came to a finish in explosive spellwork, all around.
  959.
  960. He leaned back and dusted the ends of his clothing that flared.
  961. (Berend)
  962. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  963.
  964. [20:42] The Acolyte was able to tell that his strength had been incredible! While he's tried to maintain the distance away from him, he found it difficult to keep away from him through the use of his cosmic energies he's managed to close it relatively quickly. Such a thing was important though and he had to take it into consideration, the mere fact that he's been so quick when it came to positioning was something that he wasn't shocked of!
  965.
  966. There were rocks formed on his own part, the earth spikes being brought forth as they were torn through the use of his cosmic energies and he manages to strike him yet again in the stomach this time. He's sent flying and tumbling onto the ground, defeated and laying on his stomach with his arms stretched out.
  967.
  968. "W-wah... Y-You managed to beat me, you're incredible. Sir Valero!"
  969.
  970. All of that movement had him dizzy for a while, he's slowly raised himself off of the ground and bows with a smile on his face after being given some tips on what to do. He was right when it came to his magic he had to play it safe instead of rushing in offensively and rather recklessly.
  971.
  972. "I'll be sure to take the note of your words when it comes to my practicing, I do tend to try and take the offensive a little here and there. Besides this, I wish to thank you for honoring me and my friend with some of your time!..."
  973.
  974. It wasn't everyday they were blessed with the presence of a radiant.
  975. (Nikólaos)
  976. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  977.
  978. [20:51] All of the magic he fought now he did so with familiarity of others who epitomized that magic in one way or another. Those who had refined the styles lent their wisdom unwittingly from his observation.
  979.
  980. There was a methodology in how he closed down the healing tree with his own widespread cosmic bullets that rained down at that rejuvenating source. The mage had relied on it a bit too hard though it had prolonged their clash.
  981.
  982. It also made the movement predictable as Valero homed in with accelerated limbs, Incandescene raised overhead for a mighty blow. The ground beneath him began to rock as the blade came down.
  983.
  984. A cloud of dust rose obscuring vision for a moment save for the golden glow which was muffled by the swirling dirt. As it settled down it filled the dojo with the sound of rain.
  985.
  986. "Ha, ah! What a display!" The man cried as he caught his breath, free hand raising to shield his eyes from the debris. Though he was muddied and squinted to see his smile remained as the light around him faded.
  987.
  988. As he relinquished his hold on the blade it shone a brilliant white for a moment before dissipating into that same swirling multi-hued embers. They winked out of this realm to return to the Celestial River one by one.
  989.
  990. "You did really well, Nikólaos. You applied what I said, but you must not always be so rigid in your application as it worked you into a corner. You have the fundamentals down."
  991.
  992. His gaze, dark brown once more, turns to Aria, "My wife is as skilled and lovely a Nature mage as there ever was. Perhaps she could offer more insights into your tactics."
  993. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  994. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  995.
  996. [20:55] The Acolyte managed to see for his own eyes what it was that a radiant had been capable of, listening to his words in regard to how it was that he's done. Trying to keep a distance although failing to do - still applying what it was that he's told him to do and ensure that the distance was still there.
  997.
  998. "She's incredible at it from what I have seen, I will likely have to use some of her ideas in the future from what I have seen. Hmm, we were told to search for a blacksmith who made a one of a kind blade as well? That's probably difficult though, right Sir?" He asked Valero wondering if he knew anyone like that. This was probably the most difficult task that Yiel gave them,
  999.
1000. "Miss Yiel said Sir Robin could give us a hint."
  1001. (Nikólaos)
  1002. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1003.
1004. [20:58] Berend tipped up his head, rather tired after a good day of training. He looked languidly Nikolaos' way,
  1005.
1006. "Hear that? You might benefit." he chuckles, and moves over. His eyes scrolled over Valero, "A blade, hrm. Perhaps you could name the smith that tempered your blade, Incandescence. Or whoever forged it even."
  1007.
1008. He nodded, giving the blade a final once over before he stepped up.
  1009. (Berend)
  1010. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1011.
1012. [20:59] Nikólaos asks, "There is another incredible nature magician too that I have fought. Her name is Holly I believe?"
1013. [21:00] Humming to herself, she watches the boys go on to speak and does little more than twiddle her thumbs-- Only for Valero to offer up her skills in nature magic.
  1014.
1015. "A-Ahah, normally...I use it to make my herb garden just a little bit better than all the other noblewomen but.." There is a pause, the idea weighed, before she offers a smile.
  1016.
1017. "OH, what the heck? Sure..! I have no issue helping out if you'd li--" Holly. Blinking a few times, Aria nods again.
  1018.
1019. "Oh yes, Holly is quite...Something."
  1020. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  1021. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1022.
1023. [21:02] He smiles hoping that Miss Aria didn't mind if he took some of her ideas when it came to nature magic. The tactic that she's used was truly interesting, remaining quiet afterward upon bringing up Holly. Unable to tell what it was that he saw when he fought her - the strange vines that were different from his own.
  1024.
  1025. Weird glowing eyes too.
  1026. (Nikólaos)
  1027. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1028.
1029. [21:05] The blade had vanished into thin air and now the Radiant rested one hand upon his knee, the other seeking out his wife's hand, but he paused in the motion caught off guard by the inquiry.
  1030.
1031. "..I spoke true, what I said of the blade. I doubt we could commission a blade from Geist." He chuckled at his own jest, but it did provoke a bit of wonder as to whether other blades akin to it yet existed.
  1032.
1033. "But, that is a long story for another time. If you require skilled work then Aria and I could do so together, but we would need the materials provided naturally."
  1034.
1035. He glances over to his wife, hand once more moving to clasp her own. "We have that bit of Arcanium. I do not know if you had any plans for it, but if not we could work it in if the piece is worthy."
  1036. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  1037. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1038.
1039. [21:07] Berend shook his head, laughing. "No, no. I'm not worthy enough for a weapon made of Arcanium of all things, certainly not yet. We're seeking a smith to see their ambitions, dreams - what drove them into such a fever to make a blade as keen as say, Incandescence. It's our mission to understand their passions and reasons, more or less. Sir Robin's blade was an obvious choice, but if you know the person who forged your weapon, I'd be willing to meet them out too."
  1040.
  1041. Berend nodded.
  1042. (Berend)
  1043. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1044.
1045. [21:08] Valero lux Montclaire says, "I am done for now, but thank you for the offer."
1046. [21:09] Berend says, "I'll need to be heading out soon, I'll have to pass."
1047. [21:09] Valero lux Montclaire says, "And.. Berend, Geist is one of the stars of the Leonaus constellation. The messenger."
  1048. [21:09] Berend says, "..oh."
1049. [21:10] Berend rubbed his head, feeling stupid. "How foolish of me. I'm still learning the stars. But that's .. impressive, the weapon is an artifact?" his eyes widened even more at knowing that. A blade so divine it was from a star.
  1050. (Berend)
  1051. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1052.
1053. [21:10] Nikólaos exclaims, "!... I see now. That is what Miss Yiel was telling us!"
1054. [21:10] Nikólaos exclaims, "Thank you, sir Valero!"
1055. [21:12] Nikólaos says, ".. Here I thought it was an actual person, Miss Yiel is really smart!..."
1056. [21:13] Valero nods faintly at that, the fellow's ignorance glossed over in light of what he had said. That was the important part, "You wish to know of ambitions and dreams from which a magnificent blade is forged?"
  1057.
1058. His arm stretches out as though it was still there, no change in weight. It really was more akin to a piece of himself as he adjusted to that strange absence of feedback in the swings.
  1059.
1060. "The Leonaus Constellation's will has codes we are given to live by. In following those tenets I was deemed worthy of wielding this blade, but it could have been any. Though the smith was a star the answer you seek still lies in the tales of its creation, I think."
  1061. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  1062. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1063.
1064. [21:16] Klaus jumps up from his seat proud that they've managed to successfully accomplish the most difficult task from there mission! He was truly at a loss for words, the Radiant gave them both the answers that they sought.
  1065.
1066. "The star Geist! Make sure you write this down, Berend. The most difficult part of the mission solved thanks to you, sir." He says smiling at Valero, the Leonaus Constellation was amazing and he was learning about all of the stars thus far. Perhaps he was going to have to memorize them, at the very least they were jotted down on his notes.
  1067.
1068. He pulls out a piece of paper making sure to write down the name of the star that did smith such a beautiful blade.
  1069. (Nikólaos)
  1070. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1071.
1072. [21:16] Berend quickly offered up a nod, this might have been killing two birds with one stone. What more of an impressive piece of craftsmanship than to tote the creation of a divine weapon. From a god, no less.
  1073.
1074. He leaned in with keen scrutiny, and raised a hand,
  1075.
1076. "Well, if you want to spin the tale to me. By all means. I'd like to here how this weapon came to be earthly." He nodded, he'd save the information in an inscription later. He wasn't the best author.
  1077. (Berend)
  1078. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1079.
  1080. [21:23] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
1081. [21:26] Valero lifted his hand and that outline appeared once more, but the thrums from Geist were not powerful. He did not seek to summon it with haste, but rather to demonstrate.
  1082.
1083. The three had agreed that it could not be held in secret any longer. No matter the danger the revelation brought, they were ready. "Geist is The House of Visions and those connected to it are prone to receiving flashes of insight, worlds that could be, and even ones long lost that could have been."
  1084.
1085. Burning motes of crimson, cobalt, and gold danced around the blade slowly magnetized toward it. He released the summons and the white construct disappeared followed more hesitantly by the embers pulled.
  1086.
1087. "From there I witnessed what we call the Celestial River. It is filled with those lights you see before you." His hand, now free gestures toward one of the pieces of starlight before it makes its way back.
  1088.
1089. "These are the Embers of Greatness which feed into something grand. A new star which is forming in the Leonaus Constellation. Ever good and honorable deed contributes to its power from actions great or small." Weighty words that reeked of prophecy.
  1090.
1091. The Radiant's expression grew serious as his attention flicked to each, "But, there are forces which seek to stop this growth. Those who actively try to steal from the Celestial River and pervert it power toward their insidious goals."
  1092.
1093. Those words were spoken with a disgust that was unsuited to the smiling benevolent man, "So we were given tenets to live by. Three in total. By adhering to them the Constellation has chosen champions. Sir Queen is one able to tap into the power as well." Credence to a seemingly mad claim.
  1094.
1095. He was loathe to pronounce himself the Prophet of Geist, but at least he could share his words now. Aria's presence was a heavy comfort and though the stars guidance gave him courage her being there to support him made it all the easier.
  1096. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  1097. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1098.
1099. [21:33] Berend sat on, his face illuminated by the dimly lit lights of the dojo. He looked on with a face that he wore through a thousand more stories, but none quite as grand, or strange as this one. It concerned a god, a star, and the creation of another star. He pulled his head in prophetic words flew out, and understood the House of Visions as a series of psykers of some kind.
  1100.
1101. "..able to see parallel times, then? Worlds? That's something else. You're touched?"
  1102.
1103. He asked, sure now that the man standing before him was not just any ordinary Radiant, nor a general of his forces. But somebody fated to stand in line to pass the torch for a grander purpose yet.
  1104.
1105. A web he couldn't begin to fathom. Noble and good acts evidently pooled into this vast, growing energy that would become a star, some day.
  1106.
1107. And it was a curious one,
  1108.
1109. "..New stars, I never knew new ones could even be formed. Let alone through the effort of man." The man's eyes flickered with equal shares of amazement and bewilderment. The implications this held, most people would reject. But he knew better than to deny something he'd already seen with his eyes, blazing as bright as a comet in the sky.
  1110.
1111. He glazed over the burnt blade with his dark-green eyes one more time, absorbing it's energy, before he subsided.
  1112.
1113. Despite his answers, he had many more questions. "..that is something else. I imagine you don't let that out to too many people for fear of those that would try and take that energy for themselves. I can't imagine the witches might have a hand in that."
  1114.
1115. He tapped his own sword thoughtfully. He didn't know how to feel, but he felt as though he'd come upon something far above his station as a man. It was interesting to hear the story all the same, and perhaps, fate had arranged for him to know: for him and Nikolaos' to fall in Valero's company.
  1116. (Berend)
  1117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1118.
1119. [21:34] Klaus paid close attention to what it was that he's brought up, the stars were rather helpful when it came to pointing people in the right direction .. even finding similarities within one-self. There was one thing that he's taken into consideration,
  1120.
1121. "Forces which seek to stop the growth.."
  1122.
1123. He had seen such people himself, perhaps it was the ones that had this dark aura to them? The ones that were known as occultists. While he's sought to become an exorcist for the Church, however, the talk of a new star forming did catch his interest as well. Proud that they managed to learn something new, considering the path they were going down - it was best to take note of it.
  1124.
1125. "We will have to become strong enough to stop such forces. The Witches and Occultists alike, I believe." He said to Berend while he's known that it was their job to take at both sides of things, instead of rushing to quick conclusions. Such was what Miss Yiel had told them, listening to both sides of the stories and coming to decisions. He's held the staff in his hand, certain that those forces, in particular, could happen to show up to the Church at any given moment.
  1126. (Nikólaos)
  1127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1128.
1129. [21:43] This made the second time he had spoke of such things to outsiders, those who were not intimately connected to him or the stars in a similar way. Aria, Adrielle, and Robin knew the most previously.
  1130.
1131. Though he had expected more resistance than what Yiel and Sina, or now Berend and Nikólaos, had given to the assertion. At Berend's inquiry the man simply nodded to confirm.
  1132.
1133. Indeed he could see times that were lost, but oftentimes it made no sense. The context of how the world had ended up that way was not so important as the insights hidden therein and so they were withheld and vague.
  1134.
1135. "I do not withhold my power, but I have not told many this news yet. Deacon Yiel knows." Though she was the only in the church aside from his own cadet Memmon, "I have witnessed with my own eyes one such witch who does actively steal this power."
  1136.
1137. He tosses his head side-to-side. That was far too much to elaborate on given the news he had just shared. They had accepted it in stride and he did not seek to push his luck with further elaboration yet.
  1138.
1139. "But, it is not something to be hidden." He smiles faintly once more, his disdain for those dark forces pushed away. They were in good company and security, best to enjoy those moments while one could.
  1140.
1141. "It is as you say, Nikólaos. We must simply stay strong, work together, and better one another. The first bit of advice I was ever given as a Knight was that we all break one day. What matters is that another arm is there to pick up where yours left off."
  1142. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  1143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1144.
1145. [21:50] Berend'd take the secret, or rather, the knowing without much consequence. The man had no penchant for rumor mills, or talking as people talk amongst themselves, but likewise, he knew what he was being told was for his benefit alone.
  1146.
1147. He felt like he'd earnt Valero's trust and would return it.
  1148.
1149. "It might spike fear among the others. I understand the sentiment. -- And, Priestess Yiel now."
  1150.
1151. He corrected Valero, a grin forming.
  1152.
1153. "Come what may, I'm determined to see it through. Thank you for sharing the day with us. We're still going through our initiation rites under the good Yiel and you've definitely helped. I didn't expect to meet a man with a god-smitten weapon, or learn of prophecies and new stars but I s'pose fate has a funny way of making things come together." He outstretched his hand for good, long shake with the Radiant if he allowed.
  1154.
1155. He didn't seem the type to consider it an indignity to shake with a common-blooded man.
  1156. (Berend)
  1157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1158.
1159. [21:51] "One such witch, who does actively steal this power? Oh my, that does not sound good at all." The young Acolyte responds while he's taken the news of such a thing, not having run into Witches before although he knew that they weren't the most kind. While he's heard talks of Moonfall as a whole and how there were strange people over there.
  1160.
1161. Spotting how it was that he's agreed with him, the dark forces were something that could be taken care of in unison while he's heard of, such people. "I see, my good sir. I'm able to tell that the times are rough and fully plan on spreading help need be, along with a couple of talks of... these Witches and Occultists alike. They seem rather dangerous but I intend on becoming a better magician specifically to help against them as well."
  1162.
1163. He listens to Berend's words as well, not expecting any of this. Today was a sure surprise! They were given some insight into a couple of things.
  1164. (Nikólaos)
  1165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1166.
1167. [21:52] Aria cos Montclaire whispers: My love, when you're done, I'll be in the square okay?
1168. [21:53] Valero lux Montclaire whispers something.
1169. [21:55] Aria smiled as she stood up, waved at them all, then walked to the door.
  1170. (Aria cos Montclaire)
  1171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1172.
1173. [22:07] One of his favorite ways of measuring a man remained in the simple yet precise art of the handshake. He rose to his feet, his hand meeting Berend's with a grip that was firm, but restrained.
  1174.
1175. Much could be said of an appropriate handshake. It had to display the strength of conviction, but could not be aggressive or cruel. It required a civilized and even kind withdrawal.
  1176.
1177. All the boxes were ticked in the handshake that was offered to each in turn. Common blood or noble truly mattered not to the man, his own birthright practically cast aside until ascendance to Radiant.
  1178.
1179. "It has been my pleasure to speak about this in general. I am not usually the sort to say such things upon first meeting, but I do as prompted." And the time had felt right.
  1180.
1181. Once his hand was withdrawn he gave a shrug, "I do not believe in coincidences, never have. It is a convenient way of dismissing the guidance the stars offer us."
  1182.
1183. Though he wished to restrain himself yet another thrum came forward from Geist. It hummed with displeasure at the words he withheld and his smile faltered for a moment.
  1184.
1185. Dark hues flicked between each of the young men. They were strangers and yet there was a purity about them. They were yet untarnished by the cruelties of the world.
  1186.
1187. "There is one more thing for you to tell Yiel since she is a priestess now." Even Robin and Adrielle had not heard him utter the words. Only Aria in fragment and cryptic speech when he had come out of visions.
  1188.
1189. Hesitation was painted clear upon his face, but he grit his teeth and nodded mustering himself. "I have not told anyone else this, but Yiel should know now. I am not merely a champion of The White Star, but Geist's Prophet."
  1190.
1191. He had restrained for the fear that it was all a delusion of grandeur that might infect him with insidious pride. Compliments on his prowess likewise ran past him, but it could be withheld no longer.
  1192.
1193. These two had a mission and their delivery of the knowledge, and understand of it, was crucial. "These are weightless words and codes I bring. I have withheld out of fear of the Church's reaction."
  1194.
1195. That worry had shifted from the inner focus that he might be corrupted to the more horrifying reality: That the message would not be delivered in time. That their warning would be smote.
  1196.
1197. "..And as I have told her before the darkness that comes does not originate from Moonfall. It is why we decided we could no longer remain silent about it all no matter our fears."
  1198.
1199. That was the essence of bravery, "I did not tell her before because I was not certain, but now I know without any doubt in my heart." His pulse had not elevated as he spoke those words.
  1200.
1201. Before it might have spiked, his vision swimming as his heart throbbed in his ears until it drowned out all noise. Instead he had maintained much the same tone, but his eyes sought each of theirs with an intensity that was not there before, one that did not match his calm expression.
  1202.
  1203. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  1204. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1205.
1206. [22:17] "I thank you for the knowledge you have been giving us, Sir Montclaire. We will hone our own strengths in order to see such things be put to an end, from what I have heard myself Witches are beings that need to be taken cared of. Even in history from what I have heard thus far."
  1207.
1208. Klaus had responded to him while this was all one step to ensuring that things were better, the secrets that may have been in the dark. The two of them were on a quest in order to become powerful Exorcists that could exercise the religions of the Church and as a whole shift the tide with the nature of Occult magic considering that it was dangerous.
  1209.
1210. Here were some that could be guided back into the proper direction though, there was no doubt about that. But the Witches he considered to have been long gone - with dealings that they've made with the devil. The talks of Valero being the Prophet of Geist somewhat let him know the type of person that he was, while he's believed to have some similar qualities as well. The Star Phos did pique his interest and they were both in the body of the Constellation of Leonaus. The young teen was rather determined to ensure that such dreams were made into a reality.
  1211.
1212. Figuring out the root cause of where the darkness had stemmed from was important to him. If it wasn't Moonfall then what was it exactly?
  1213.
1214. ".. I see. It seems that not every question has an answer to it, Sir. But through the years, I believe that we will do our best to find a possible solution! There is always hope!"
  1215. (Nikólaos)
  1216. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1217.
1218. [22:21] Valero lux Montclaire says, "With such members of the faith, I've no doubts."
1219. [22:21] Nikólaos says, "It is as you have said, there will always be someone to pick up from where we left off. A solution will be found, if it isn't by us it's by the person that over after our arms and time is done."
1220. [22:21] Valero lux Montclaire says, "Still, she should understand the weight of such a claim."
1221. [22:22] Nikólaos says, "Thank you my good sir!... Ah yes, you're correct. We will be around her to ensure that she does."
1222. [22:22] Nikólaos says, "The position that she's in is quite the bright one, although a lot of responsibility... No doubt about that."
1223. [22:22] Valero lux Montclaire says, "Well, it begins with us all knowing that there is more than these struggles between nations."
1224. [22:22] Valero lux Montclaire says, "Mh, I can imagine she has plenty on her plate, but The Vigilant are ever at her disposal should she need us."
1225. [22:22] Nikólaos says, "That's relieving, thank you."
