This is a guide on the first steps you should take in PT:

Important Note: DO NOT found any state-owned companies in the early stages of your nation. Its a waste of money. Let the auto-found take care of companies.

1) Purchase a new town. (My Nation-->Cities-->Order Construction)

2) Go to Infrastructure and purchase a University for your Capital. (My Nation-->Infrastructure-->Purchase University)

3) Go to Research and begin research Capacitors. (Government-->Research-->Capactiors Research)

4) Go to Resources and purchase Extractors - (My Nation-->Resources-->Purchase Extractors)

5) Purchase Refineries - (My Naton-->Resources-->Purchase Refineries)

6) Go to Energy and purchase a new power plant of the same type as your own Energy resource. To do this you will need to go the market and buy some of that energy resource so you have the required quantity to purchase the power plant. (My Nation-->Energy-->Purchase Powerplant)

7) Go to Infrastructure and purchase Infrastructure - (My Nation-->Infrastructure-->Purchase)

1 Fire Station
1 School
2 Clinic

8) Hire roughly 50% of possible service staff, except for Academics. Do not hire Academics. (My Nation-->Services-->Hire)

9) Go to the Market and sell all your energy resources except for the type you produce. (International-->Market-->Energy Market-->Sell Bundle of 1000 units)

10) If the prices for military materials are high sell the resources you start with there as well.(International-->Market-->Military Market-->Sell Bundle of 1000 units)

11) Use the logistics page to supply your population with all your food resources and your power station with your energy resource. (Government-->Logistics-->Supply Food/Supply Energy)

12) Go to Laws and pass the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Government-->Laws-->Constitutional-->Propose)

13) Go to Infrastructure and purchase a Truck Depot. (My Nation-->Infrastructure-->Purchase)

14) Go to Trades and purchase 5 trucks. (International-->Trades-->Purchase Trucks)

15) Go to Market and sell your remaining construction resources if prices are high. (International-->Market-->Construction Market-->Sell Bundle of 1000 units)

16) Go to the Land tab, spend the remainder of your money on Land. (My Nation-->Land-->Purchase Land)

17) Go to the Government Tab and hold an Election.(Government-->Government-->Hold Election)

18) Go to Treasury and set your Tax Rate to 45% (Government-->Treasury-->Change Tax Rate)
