  1. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2.
  3. [23:15] The young Ice magi yawns, seemingly distracted by a sudden thought he wished to entertain he'd silently wandered off to his own little corner of the training grounds. He fold his arms, channeling the freezing cold around him as ice formed at his feet.
  4.
  5. He had finally achieved a the state he wanted when he'd begun his training, control over the atmosphere itself in order to allow him a full handle over the cold. His eyes flicker towards Yvels display as he'd watch for a moment.
  6.
  7. Around Zeitan, one could see swirls of fog like mist filled with shimmering crystals of ice, clinging to the air around the Drakanite as he stood in silence, hands in his pockets and his trademark casual slouch.
  8.
  9. His goal now, was to extend his reach in order to pull an amazing feat. Inspired by his cousins Vitus and Adalyn occasionally jesting his ability to create a snowstorm or an avalanche he wanted to do just that.
  10.
  11. Zeitan wanted to generate a snowstorm, being ableto stop his opponents in their tracks with an actual force of nature was what truly appealed to him. The things he could accomplish if he could stop a fight before it started with the power of winter itself.
  12.
  13. He pauses, catching himself in an ambitious train of thought and grins, sighing softly as he'd begin to approach his cousin, so intent on creating barriers of holy magic.
  14.
  15. "You said you wanted help? I figured I'd show you the fruits of my labor." He grins, spreading his arms out to reveal the mist that hung around his body, swirling and dancing in the torchlight.
  16. (Zeitan Endore)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [23:24] Yvel looks around as the air suddenly began to chill, He'd glance towards Zeitan who had been cloaked in a cold breeze of mana. It was quite the aura scary even! He gave a really interested look as he nodded.
  20.
  21. "I want to see how strong I can make my Wards It might not be the most exciting training for you but...I want you to attack me in random positions." Yvel pointed towards the rock behind him that had been incapsulated with his holy magic ward protection.
  22.
  23. "My goal is to stop you from attacking that rock, It'll be the 'princess' in this scenario. Think you can keep up?" Yvel was both talking to himself and talking to his cousin. It was difficult to make shields on the fly but it was something Yvel knew he'd had to do. Big attacks, small attacks, Medium attacks it didn't matter what came at him he had to be prepared to protect against it.
  24.
  25. Calming himself down he'd place his hands in the prayer position like before he'd listen to his heart beat allowing himself to resonate with it, Invigorating the mana and pulling more positive energy out so he could manifest it into holy magic.
  26.
  27. His eyes would shoot open, Dark Jade eyes filled with determination and resolve. "Okay! hit me with your best shot!" Yvel said as he focused himself. Creating barriers and wards were difficult especially the fact that wards needed to be placed around objects. Barriers however could be activated at any distance.
  28. (Yvel Endore)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [23:36] Zeitan listens to Yvel, looking towards the rock in a shell of holy magic. He takes a moment to assess the situation, folding his arms and leaning back lightly. With Yvels focus on keeping a shield up and Zeitan attempting to pierce the stone this would make for excellent practice.
  32.
  33. "Very well, this sounds like a good warm up.
  34.
  35. Zeitan starts stretching, limbering up and setting his focus upon the rock with a grin. "Alright princess. Let's see what you've got." He sets his stance, channeling his mana into the air as a noticeable chill set into the area. The more Zeitan focused the further his reach spread as he altered the night air.
  36.
  37. Silently, Zeitan rushes the orb, aiming to attack before feigning within inches of the sphere. His hope was to pull Yvel into focusing his energy into the front allowing him to disperse into mist, reform behind the stone and launch a powerfully sharp spear of ice from the ground below his target.
  38.
  39. Succesful or not he would not relent, jumping over the stone and delivering a barrage of frozen spikes, precise kicks and lightning fast claws.
  40.
  41. His feet meet the grass with a soft 'tp', ice quickly forming on the ground at his feet as he lands. The air around them sharpens, the cold was enough to choke the air out of an unsuspecting non magi.
  42.
  43. "So far so good, perhaps I can step it up a bit." Zeitans grin turns into a playful smirk as he generates a spike, pouring mana into it and launching it at his target. Upon collision with the barrier he would release the mana he poured into it causing the ice to explode violently.
  44.
  45. Giving the dust a moment to settle, Zeitan watches, hands back in his pockets as he silently balances on one foor.
  46. (Zeitan Endore)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [23:48] Zeitan's attacks were relentless and Yvel had to keep his concentration focused, Sleets of ice would rein in from the front concentrating his attacks there for a moment before changing directions quickly switching positions Zeitan would attack from behind.
  50.
  51. Yvel focused he couldn't stay idle for too long otherwise it would've only been a matter of time before his mana ran out from repairing the wards he'd have to think fast and create barriers. strong enough to repel the ice back.
  52.
  53. "The opposite of wards...Instead of enveloping something around it I just have to push everything away!" Yvel said as he moved towards Zeitan as his rain of icicles were showering down towards the 'Princess Rockifina'
  54.
  55. Yvel's hands were shining with golden light he quickly stood in front of the ice daggers as they rained down towards him and placing his hands in front he'd quickly swiped it forwards in of him. "A screen, No awall. Something that can't be passed, Something that's strong enough to take a bombardment. Imagine it. Protect it." The ratio involved increasing barriers couldn't be as measured as it was for wards. He'd have to use 100% Density other wise he'd risk The barrier being to weak.
  56.
  57. So The slime like mana would emerge out from his hands quickly taking shape into a wall then with a flash it would solidify into a hardened and barrier.
  58. The Ice attacks would aim to pierce through his wall and a few would be successful almost skewering Yvel had Zeitan not controlled his ice to turn to mist upon impact.
  59.
  60. "Not done yet bigger...wider..larger...I gotta make it cover an wider area..." Yvel continued to spread his mana increasing the range of the barrier at most he could cover around his body yet he was beginning to do it! Although there were still holes and small patches he was able to slowly assimilate a barrier of holy magic together
  61.
  62. 'Princess Rockifina' didn't get damaged too badly a couple spears of ice still stuck into her head and the ground around her although most were at the very least diverted off their course and rammed into the ground.
  63.
  64. "Geez...that was some tough training I can already tell I'm getting the hang of this but lets do another round..Still up for it?" Yvel's newly learned technique still required some work but he was on his way. He just needed to keep practicing and use it as much as he can.
  65. (Yvel Endore)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [23:56] Calling back his onslaught of frozen rain he'd step back, exhaling softly as he caught his breath. This was excellent training for him, doing his best to alter the temperature in a constant state of bone chilling cold.
  69.
  70. "That is quite the skill I gotta say, I can see the benefits to protecting others in the spells you've been learning. It's just your style." Ironically enough a huge focus of Zeitans was making his skills look effortless.
  71.
  72. It was why he took so much time learning, developing and perfecting each spell one at a time. After all Zeitan was a bit of a perfectionist. He was bred that way, to be a cold and calculating Witcher like the Endores before him. He was a perfect example of the youth of those trained to hunt witches and demons.
  73.
  74. "You're lucky that magic can shield you from the cold itself, it's a wonder what mana can do." He says, leaning back lightly as he twirled a frozen shard on the tip of his finger and occasionally flipping around.
  75.
  76. Silently the Ice Magi would make his way towards his cousin and the Princess, looking at the scars he'd manage to carve into the stone and letting out a satisfied sigh.
  77.
  78. "To think the storm we could whip up together."
  79. (Zeitan Endore)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81. [00:11] The barrier around Yvel began to slowly fade away like a flash of light it popped and blinked out of existence. It was hard to maintain but the Barrier itself was mailable, It came in many forms and he could continue to express it depending on the situation. Zeitan was right it was the perfect skill for someone who wanted to protect people. Yvel just needed to learn how to better use it to meet his goals.
  82.
  83. "Mh It needs work though I have to learn how to shape it better. Creating a defensive wall or a sphere around myself maybe? Something that can block attacks no matter where they come form." Yvel thought he'd give It a try.
  84.
  85. Despite how tired he was getting he had to push past his limits Yvel took his staff, Charging it with holy many this time and small orbs of light began filtering towards him, His staff set a glow with the very same golden color his hands were before.
  86.
  87. "Holy Creation Magic: Stalwart Shield of Illumination!" Yvel exclaimed as he slammed his staff straight into the land injecting his holy mana directly into the ground mixing it within the earth. Using his mind to create something denser infusing his mana within the rocks, firmer more solid just like stone..no like steel...and as his mana emerged from the ground it erupted into a shield of holy brilliant holy magic.
  88.
  89. The bright colored shield was an impressive feat, As testament to how far along Yvel had come in his holy magic training, Yet still there was room for improvement but with each time Yvel studied he felt as if he gained more and more from this.
  90.
  91. "I think I'm more or less starting to get the hang of this...Now I suppose there's only one thing left to do!" Yvel proclaimed as he glanced towards Zeitan and smirked deviously. It was pretty obvious what he meant after all they had both mastered elemental magic of strong variety and now it was time to test it out on eachother.
  92. (Yvel Endore)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [00:28] He'd respond with a nod, his casual demeanor fading as it was replaced with one of controlled focus. His stance was elegant and delicate yet firm and imposing, magnified by the cold around him.
  96.
  97. His yellow gaze meets Yvels, a confident grin on his visage as he shifted his feet. It excited him to take his cousin on, an actual knight in the first order. Win or lose he was determined to give his training partner and long time rival a show to behold.
  98.
  99. Ice gathers at the Drakanites feet, the cold mist that clung to him now spreading out in shimmering tendrils as the air had begun to thin out much like the mountains they trained upon.
  100.
  101. "I spent so much time training in the winter I figured I would bring winter to me, I look forward to fully experiencing the progress we have both made." He nods, waiting for Yvel to ready himself before setting off into their long awaited spar.
  102.
  103. He keeps his eyes upon his opponent, ready for whatever Yvel might have instore. He exhales, breath invisible in the cold, another tactic he would use to his advantage, attempting to use Yvels breathing patterns to anticipate his actions in combat.
  104.
  105. "Let's do this Cuz."
  106. (Zeitan Endore)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [00:40] The first few minutes of the battle were high pitched, Zeitans combat style was fast paced and unpredictable as his control over the atmosphere was a definite advantage. The two found themselves at an even match until, using the same tactic he had with the shield and the stone, The Ice Adept had managed to gain the upper hand.
  110.
  111. Waiting for the right time to strike, Zeitan watches as Yvels breath betrays his actions. The excess vapor from his opponents breathing patterns allowed the martial artist to pinpoint what spell he was using permitting him to counter appropriately.
  112.
  113. His opponent took on his elemental form, speeding around the ground in the form of pure lightning. As his opponent tried to speed through he quickly activated a spell of his own, turning into a frozen mist and passing through just in time to retaliate with a powerful kick, sending his almost frostbitten cousin a few feet back to recollect himself.
  114.
  115. "Phew.. This is getting interesting." He'd say, trying his best not to get cocky as he often did.
  116. (Zeitan Endore)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [00:45] Yvel had messed up a few times, His training leaving him exhausted but he kept up his defences aiming to create barriers to defend himself rather than his usual magic. It was tough the ice easily pierced through defence the cold took on many forms and changed its shapes from spears to spikes and blades.
  120.
  121. Yvel had to keep up his body turning into pure lightning only to be thrawted by Zeitan calulating his attack turning into mist, A blunder on Yvel's part but not something he couldn't recover from he struck hard with lightning aiming to win by lowering Zeitan's restiances
  122.
  123. Although Yvel's body was beining to freeze solid taking the opputunity Zeitan struck him down with a flurry of combined martial arts blows. Throwing him to the ground.
  124.
  125. A powerful kick and his body frozen nearly solid. It seemed Yvel couldn't take this lightly anymore he'd have to be more calulating in his attacks against the frost fist Endore
  126. (Yvel Endore)
  127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. [00:55] Yvel concentrated this time, He would begin with his strongest spell to open, The reflexes and predictive abilities would have to be combated by Yvel's Powerful attacks and precision and he'd aim to perfect the lightning bow technique he'd learned from his father.
  130.
  131. Taking am Yvel quickly created a bow of lightning magic, He pulled back and fired hitting Zeitan directly before he could react a vicious attack that left Zeitan paralyzed by the lightning shocking his nerves. Of course Yvel held back from doing any serious damage but he didn't let up.
  132.
  133. A bolt of lightning rained striking the Martial Artist only to be evaded by his ability to turn to mist, at the most irritating of his skills. Yet Yvel remained calm focused on his task, As the sleets of ice rolled in towards him Yvel created Shields of holy magic to block the ramparts of Ice, Using the shield as a ramp to jump up into the air using air magic to bounce himself higher.
  134.
  135. Lightning magic took over his body and as the Frost Fist Endore turned back into physical form Yvel took that moment to change into his lightning form, Striking him left and right with a hard zaps and even harsher strikes of lightning.
  136.
  137. "I won't give up that easily!" Yvel exclaimed a spear of ice would be flung towards him but Yvel would predict this as well. Quickly altering his course Yvel would use a smaller variation of his Bulwark shield to divert the spears direction evading it.
  138.
  139. Each time they battled they helped each other adjust and acclimate to their powers yet their rivalry continued.
  140. (Yvel Endore)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [01:02] Sometimes you get speed bagged.
  144.
  145. That's exactly what happened to Zeitan, Getting rather comfortable with his skill he'd overlooked that Yvel most definitely had a few new spells under his sleeve. The barrage of lightning was intense, launching him back and throwing off his entire magical center.
  146.
  147. After getting himself up it was clear he was having some trouble getting his focus back. His magical circuits overcharged by the electric power that hit him.
  148.
  149. He'd charge forward, launching another volley of attacks only to be grounded by a heavy bolt, crushing him into thee ground forcing him to recollect and change up his tactics.
  150.
  151. "Heh, You're sharp Cuz, It's a surprise you never took up the blade."
  152.
  153. Zeitan hops back up, jumping into his stance, ready to to go another round.
  154.
  155. (Zeitan Endore)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [01:17] He exhales softly, watching as his opponent attempted the same tactic that threw him off before. He'd counter, bursting into a cloud of mist as the spear of lightning launched through him, gathering himself once more he would prepare his onslaught.
  159.
  160. The fledgeling Ice magi chased after his cousin, a tactic Yvel often took advantage of though for once Zeitan had learned to adapt. He'd take several blows for the sole purpose of getting his opponent close, freezing the ground and pushing him back several feet.
  161.
  162. "You're going to accomplish some pretty great things Cuz.. I can see it right now." He'd pause, dashing around a well calculated bolt of lightning before striking his opponent.
  163.
  164. Zeitan waited for the perfect chance, feigning a strike and forcing his opponent to turn into a ball of lightning. Rather than defending himself, Zeitan poured his mana into the ground forcing a wave of frozen blades across the field, the attack was a ruthless display that would force Yvel out of his elemental transformation and knock him into the grass, webs of frost lining his clothes and armor.
  165.
  166. The Drakanite exhales, dropping his focus and approaching his cousin, offering him a hand in order to help him up.
  167.
  168. "I look forward to fighting at your side."
  169. (Zeitan Endore)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [01:26] The cold air around the Magi dissipates, the sudden shift in temperature caused the ice that had built up from their fight to pop and crack loudly in protest to the sunlight. As he exhaled, a cool mist rolled along his cheeks, lips curling into a smile.
  173. (Zeitan Endore)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [01:28] Yvel would use the very same tactic as before, Only to be countered at the very last second as he went in for his strongest strike. It was a shame but the Magi had to retaliate. Zeitan came out from the mist almost instantly began attacking with ice and snow, Yvel's attacks weren't as fast and he couldn't bring out enough to measure Zeitan's.
  177.
  178. Yet it didn't mean Yvel was a push over, Bolts of lightning showered onto his foe, A swift thrust from his staff moved barriers of Holy magic to blockade him, and then send an arsenal of holy magic throwing at his cousin.
  179.
  180. Yvel took the opportunity to get close with his full body lightning magic to do some major damage although it seemed just as Yvel was about to strike Zeitan had used this chance to change the battle in his favor, The floor quickly turned to ice forcing Yvel to slip right out of his Full body Lightning magic. Then blades were conjured a second later.
  181.
  182. Yvel quickly forced all his mana onto his defence blocking the blades with a sphere shaped shield around his body. The multiple attacks form all sides were tough and holes were being punctured by the ice. It didn't last for too long and eventually Yvel fell to the ground.
  183.
  184. "Ngh...I guess I still have a lot to learn about combat." Yvel exclaimed he needed more skills and more experience.
  185.
  186. "I suppose I just need to keep training."
  187. (Yvel Endore)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [01:36] Something didn't sit well with Zeitan, he could see that Yvel was thrown off by their bout. He didn't lit this show however, returning to his usual slouch and slipping his hands into his pockets.
  191.
  192. "We all have much to learn, if it wasn't for you pushing me like I did you I wouldn't have reached where I am now." He'd say, exhaling a little puff of mist.
  193.
  194. "Back to training right? After all, that barrier magic of yours is going to be a real tough nut to crack." He grins, after all it was a very close match and one of the first spars he'd won against Yval since they were kids. This was a perfect opportunity for Zeitan to push himself further in hopes that it would inspire his family to do so as well.
  195.
  196. He'd turn around, taking a moment to collect himself again and sitting in the grass, entering a meditative state to reflect upon his own tactics and how he might be able to improve them as well as refine hishold on the weather.
  197. (Zeitan Endore)
  198. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
