DISCLAIMER: this isn't groundbreaking info. im expecting you to generally know how to play, and what to do. this is info that helps you to THINK. 99.9% of the teams that win tournaments, leagues, championships, whatever the fuck, win because they THINK. thats right, you need to THINK and use your brain for once in this video game. the entire purpose of this is to get YOU to start THINKING when you play. (this goes double for you, T1)

  6. Health Packs
  7. -when there is a tank approaching, and you dont have pills always heal. if you don't chances are the tank will chase you down and then incap you, wherein you WILL become a burden to the team, as they need to spend time picking you up rather than killing the tank. and when youre incapped, chances are that the tank will you use you to bait your other teammates.
  8. -heal in a good spot. this might seem a bit obvious, but apparently you guys cannot tell where and when to heal at all. healing in front of a horde is stupid. healing in the wide open is stupid. healing on a LEDGE WHERE SMOKERS CAN PULL YOU OFF is simply retarded.

  10. Pills
  11. -always give your pills to the lowest hp member. if your hp is green and you see a person at around 50ish, throw them the pills. chances are that when they get pounced or what not, they can quickly use them.
  12. -throwing pills. pills are the only transferable item in l4d, and as such they are pretty glitchy. i find that if youre about a meter away from the guy your pills will always get thrown. dont do what lots of people do and run up and melee the person with pills..it usually wont work.

  14. Molotovs
  15. -when you are boomed and by yourself, it is a VIABLE option to throw the molotov down to clear the horde. yes, you may take damage, but chances are that you will take less damage that you wouldve with the horde.
  16. -always prelight. if you have a molotov, run up to the tank and light it. doesnt matter who. id rather see 4 molotovs on a tank rather than 1 guy running around and then get juked and missing.
  17. -double layer drops. this means two mollies on top of another. in maps where molos are plenty this is easy, and makes for quick smoker pull prevention for people who cant jump.

  19. Horde Clearing.
  20. Shotgun
  21. -generally horde clearing is MUCH easier for a shotgun. what i like to do is 3 quick shots in the front when im rushing to clear out the horde, and then push. the shotgun quite simply is the best horde gun, so there should be no one getting bogged down with a shotgun, especially an auto. if a horde is trailing you, trying to strafe backwards in circles..this will line up the horde more easily so that your shells hit better. there should be no excuses for commons with a shotgun..especially with an auto.
  22. Uzi/M4
  23. -this one is a bit more difficult. time your punch and your fire. always aim for the head, or 2 shots to the leg or 3 shots to the gut. make sure to use your melee VERY sparingly, as in close range uzi will at most hit 1 zombie and that isnt going to be enough to get rid of a whole horde.
  24. Sniper Rifle.
  25. -pretty impossible to clear the horde with this gun. try to line up the heads. otherwise, get your friends to cover you. actually..why the hell do you even pick up this gun?

  27. Playing Witches
  28. -if all special infected are dead, always crown the witch, regardless of where she is. crowning the witch prevents stupid things such as people running back from the tank and running into it..or back pulls into the witch. if possible always kill the witch.
  29. -if special infected are around the witch, burn it. burning a witch slows its movement considerably and it will take much longer to attack.after burning, make sure to watch out for the smoker and hunters that are sure to attack because they are burning.

  31. Playing Tanks
  32. -prelight like mad. unless its finale, you can go ahead and throw all your molotovs at that bastard to ENSURE he gets lit. when he gets lit, then its pretty much game over for the tank as now he has to deal with fleeing survivors and quick loss of hp.
  33. -always use explosives when possible. yes, this includes the boomer. when the tank stumbles, it does so for a good 3 seconds. in that 3 seconds, 4 shotguns unloading on it will KILL it if not damaging it tremendously.
  34. -if you are in a room with a lot of "throwables" run back to an empty space. no matter how far you need to backtrack, it is always smarter to play a tank in a better place rather than being fucked over by a spinning taxi.
  35. -watch for boomer spawn spots. i dont need to tell you this, but once you are boomed, you are EASY MEAT for that tank

  37. Skeeting
  38. -ill be brutally honest. if you cant skeet, dont. DO NOT stand up and look at the sky, hoping to get a skeet because you will either get pulled, or 25ed if you are BAD.
  39. -if you are going to skeet, look up and move around, and DONT SHOOT OTHER TEAMMATES. honestly, i often find myself losing about 20-40 hp after a "skeet" because the idiots around me CANNOT.
  40. -skeeting is really a lag dependant thing. if you notice that the server is super laggy, dont try too hard to skeet. chances are you will miss often and end up getting angry. :/
  41. -regardless of skeeting or not, always look up. especially if you hear the hunter cry. dont just walk around blindly, otherwise you will be a very very easy DP.

  43. Sticking Together
  44. -honestly, as a team, this shouldnt be an issue. but we have a problem with people running off without saying anything. if you see a person behind, then stay behind. if you see a person in front, bitch at the person in front to come back. the farthest you should ever be is 4-5 meters at MOST.

  46. Corner Punching
  47. -when approaching a corner, make it habit of punching around corners. a lot of people these days like to to do quad caps or silent pounces via corners..if you pre punch, those hunters will be in for a surprise.

  49. Room Calling
  50. -when searching hallways such as dead air 2's apartment section, designate areas where one member will search for items. that way, you can pick up the most items in the least amount of time. there is a certain risk of being pounced and soloed out though, so keep in mind where your teammates are and be on guard.

  52. Gas Tanks, Useables
  53. -whenever you can use something, use it. gas cans can generally be used defensively, as a way to thin our hordes, or as a way to stall the tank. whenever possible, light whatever fire you can and run from the tank, so that by the time the tank reaches you it will be AI. as for propane/air tanks, use these things to stun tanks and cause them to stumble. a stunned tank is easy shotgun food and is great for stalling.

  55. Quad Cap Prevention
  56. -whenever a boomer randomly dies and no one attacks, you can almost be certain that the other team is quad capping. to prevent a quad cap, make sure you stay with your team, and at all times look up. if you are getting pulled, then use the precious few seconds that you are still mobile to punch a hunter off or shoot a hunter dead. if you get back up from a hunter pounce, always use MELEE to get the hunters off rather than trying to shoot it off, as chances are you will miss. if you are able to kill/punch at least one hunter, then your team is pretty much scott free from the quad cap.
  57. -in areas where you know that you can EASILY get quad capped, make sure you stand a good distance away from each other to avoid the "stun" effect that a pounced hunter does to your teammates. this will allow for quicker saves and kill the near invulnerability of a quad cap.
  58. -REMEMBER: the smoked person is usually the only one that can do anything in his last few seconds
