Here is some more information to help build your NPC's AU/Motives:
<li> This Earth works as a special haven for souls that come from worlds/dimensions that have ended for one reason or another. Those souls are reborn into this world and most live out their lives never knowing where their soul originally came from.

<li> Extremely rarely, a person will begin to remember their past lives and obtain abilities from these past lives. This has been going on for ages, unlike what's going on in Kaisou. Typically it occurs from an extremely traumatic incident (much like possession, and sometimes may even be LINKED to a possession) -- but there are cases where it just happened for no reason. These are the people that the Black Order and similar organizations recruit. If a person rejects the Black Order's offer, the Order uses special magic to repress their memories and abilities - this is why "people regaining memories" is not known knowledge.

<li> The current situation going on in Kaisou is <i>out of the ordinary</i> and began around January 2021. The number of people recalling their past lives is abnormal, and the appearance of people from other worlds is <i>definitely</i> new. It's the Black Order's hypothesis that something has caused the veil between this world and the other worlds to thin, but they are still investigating the root cause. They are <b>highly</b> suspicious of Zodiac, though that is largely stemming from ideology clashes. They currently don't know what to make of the current player characters, but are suspicious due to their abnormal nature and history of working with Zodiac.

<li> The Black Order believes that it's better if humanity leaves the Spirit Realm alone, but at their level of power and influence, they settle for guarding over Realms they consider sacred - I.E, realms that either house actively worshipped gods (such as the Garden of Eden, though the location of that realm is still unknown even by the Black Order) or realms that play a part in maintaining the world. The realm in May's event deals with the latter.

<li> Black Order Guardians have been obtaining past memories and abilities for some time now, so it's fine if they remember most of their canon lives as well as have any canon related abilities. They also train massively and use special techniques to enhance their innate abilities - so every NPC will have <b>20 regain points</b> to invest in <a href="https://kaisoumods.dreamwidth.org/1321.html">Elemental Regains</a>. You are also welcome to have them be <b>possessed</b> if desired, but the same possession rules apply.

<li> Black Order Guardians wear a piece of enchanted jewelry while on duty that will make anyone who encounter them struggle to remember any personal details about them. People will remember they encountered a Guardian but not much else. This allows Guardians to live a double life if they so desire.

<li> The Black Order is rather morally ambiguous overall. There are many good people in the Order with good intentions, but the Order is not above being ruthless and awful in order to obtain the ends they want. If you want your NPC to have experience with said dark underbelly and do awful things, you can! If your want your NPC to be a good and noble person, you can!
