  112. [09:55] GA: I Guess I'm A Little Amporaish Too Then
  113. [09:59] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] And so you come over, moody and oh, so craving that physical attention. You're not wearing shoes, for once, and your dress is long sleeved, black with a gold belt around your waist. --
  114. [10:00] GA: "Clams?"
  115. -- lonelySeahorse [LS] is now an idle chum! --
  116. [10:08] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You're not wearing anything but purple-striped boxers and a white shirt, which is your casual attire for the night. Simple, airy, and just right, your hair not done up and just falling down upon your shoulders like a waterfall. You're there to greet her with a wide smile, and arms opened for a hug, which she may or may not accept. "Abby!" --
  117. [10:10] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You go into the hug with resignation, though you give him a good squeeze when you get there. Gosh, he smells good... like salt and boy and blood. "Hi, grubby. Am I welcome here?" --
  118. [10:12] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > The hug you give her is tight and enough to lift her off your feet, and you pair it with a kiss to the tip of her nose. "Yes, absolutely, you are welcomed here into my hive." You spin her around you lightly, and don't... quite set her down yet. --
  119. [10:22] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > It's nice to be greeted, welcomed, to be warmly accepted. Not that you're not getting that at home, but sometimes, being told sweet things with the backdrop of those same walls just makes you feel like you're playing a pathetic Alternian dating sim while lying in bed. "How are you doing tolight?" --
  120. [10:24] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Keeping her in your arms, you situate her so it's a littttle more comfortable, until she's basically sitting in the crook of your arm and almost on your shoulder. "Not too terrible bad. Heckin lone --
  121. [10:24] LS: ly, a little hungry. Meenah says she's got ur kids also if that's aight, an not to worry about any interupptions over here, that's first. An second... Shit, you're fuckin light. Look at u." And you lift her up with your arm, weighing, teasing her.
  122. [10:31] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You smile sort of fades when he mentions your weight and you nod a little, eyes turned to the floor. "That's sweet of her, she didn't need to do that... my wrigglers are okay on their own." /Like me,/ you want to say, but that's a blatant lie if you've come far enough to be sitting in Clams' arms right now. --
  123. [10:33] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] The jab at weight is more towards getting you on a conversation about how you've actually bulked up since you first left the sea, but Abby also needs to put on more, you firmly believe this. For now, --
  124. [10:33] LS: you make your way... well, you take two steps before you look up to her. She wants to be led around... So you think you'll head up to the kitchen, because taking her downstairs for a impromptu fashion show of your closet would require her to choose things, which she clearly doesn't want. "Yeah? Aight. I mean she's still not here, but pike... The other wrigs aren't here too. Just me an you, really
  125. [10:33] LS: . Got the whole place to ourselves... So first, we're gonna go trash the kitchen," you laugh.
  126. [10:36] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You feel instinctively like this is somehow related to your weight and you're not totally happy with it, but it's alright. You'll live. "Must we trash it? If you're cooking, I can easily clean as w --
  127. [10:36] GA: e go. It would be easier..." For all that you're a tiny bit bummed out at the concept of food, it is a pleasant sensation to be carried. You're rarely carried by anyone other than 9-foot ancient trolls with no business touching you, so it's... nice. Sure, he's not your age, but he's closer than most.
  128. [10:40] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > "What? No, no I was messin around. We aren't gonna trash it, but uh, hahah. You musta never been here when Meens in one of her moods. Flour everywhere!" You begin to head upstairs, climbing flight --
  129. [10:40] LS: after flight. "In her hair, on her clothes, under her fingernails, heckin... Everywhere. Counters an floors an dials, nothin is safe when she's mood-cookin." Abby is nice. You surely didn't mean anything to be related to her weight, at all... It is pleasant to carry her though. You hardly ever get to carry anyone, even Meenah enjoys her own personal freedom more so than that... The wrigglers, sure
  130. [10:40] LS: , but Abby... It's nice. She fits well in your arms, too, as pretty and glowy as they are when you smile at her. "So you said you like bakin. Is there any particular thing you like to bake the best? I'm feelin cookies, or maybe somethin more pike dream bars, or, i unno. Any ideas?"
  131. [10:53] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] "Cookies are good, or maybe a cheesecake? I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for... maybe some cup cakes, for Meenah's wrigglers..." You very certainly annunciate cupcakes as two different words, and honestly, it's sort of adorable. You fold your hands together and really think about what you want to do, humming softly. "Cake pops, maybe? Something small..." --
  132. [10:56] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You lean your head into her skin, purring soft while you think. "Cake pops? I don't actually know how those are made... Or really an truly what they are. I know how to do brownies in a coffee mug.. --
  133. [10:56] LS: ." Fuck, she's cute. You smile up at her again- Another flight of stairs is passed and soon (Well, seven or eight total flights up,) are at the doorway to the kitchen, where you head in and stand in the middle of all the counters and whatnot.
  134. [10:59] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You snuffle softly, gazing up at the ceiling while you travel and around at the counters when you arrive. "Cake pops aren't real baking, they're just... taking a cake you already made, adding frosting to it, mushing it up and putting it in a little ball and putting a stick in it and covering it in... something. We should make brownies instead." --
  135. [11:02] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Things are clean, pristine, and sparkling. You clean when you're lonely. It's a distraction that most people notice about you within the first few times it happens. "Not real bakin, huh..." You hit --
  136. [11:02] LS: ch her up, bouncing her up on your shoulder. "Brownies would be good... We could do regular once, or ones layered with caramel... Do you like nuts?" You look up at her curiously. "Or, uh, whats it called. Confectioners sugar? The powdered stuff."
  137. [11:16] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] "Confectioner's sugar is okay for certain things... I prefer brown sugar. I wanted to just make regular brownies, if you guys have cocoa powder...? I do a thing where I melt butter in a pot with the cocoa powder and crystal ingredients so they combine better..." You sound a little like you're perking up, there, you want to show off... --
  138. [11:21] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > "Ooh... I've not tried brown sugar in most things, just oatmeal and uh, coffee sometimes... We do have cocoa powder, here," And you point at a large trio of jars on the counter. "There's some in th --
  139. [11:21] LS: ere... You want down? I don't mind if you want to stay up there on my shoulders.... What's the trick with melting butter in a pot with the cocoa?" You don't know TOO much about baking. abby can definitely show off.
  140. [11:35] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You wrap warm fingers around one of his horns and gently guide him where you want to go; the jars, the thermal hull, hither and thither. You fetch a pot and put the butter in it, a ludicrous, disgusting amount of butter, were it not mixed with other ingredients later. "I like my brownies fudgy... do you prefer them cakey?" --
  141. [11:37] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] An unanticipated shiver goes down your back, and your dorsal rises a little behind you. Your horns are sensitive to temperature, which is more useful in the deep sea than it is on land... But having --
  142. [11:37] LS: her hand there still feels like someone just wrapped your whole pan in a warm cashmere blanket. "Fudgy, definitely," You say. "Cakey is dry... But if you have milk and caramel, it's not too bad... But fudgy and moist is the best."
  143. [11:54] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "You should like these, then." You melt the butter slowly over a medium heat, and once it's mostly liquid, you mix in salt and two kinds of sugars into a thick, decadant looking shimmery sugar past --
  144. [11:54] GA: e. You measure out and mix in the cocoa powder, then, which is a little harder to assimilate in, but now instead of trying to mix it in with the dry ingredients, you end up with an almost silky-smooth salty sugary cocoa goo, which you invite him to taste once you've taken the pot off of the heat.
  145. [11:59] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You're kind of just... watching, in amazement, at the ease with which she does this. She's a good cook, for sure. It smells amazing, and you stick out your tongue to taste the cocoa goo mixture. She's so quick at this- You'd still be at mixing together the ingrediants and fumbling over the bowl. --
  146. [12:03] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You've made this particular recipe often, so it's very easy for you to do. It's cooled enough for you to add the eggs to the mix, stirring that up so it looks even smoother and more beautiful, mixing the dry ingredients in a bowl and dumping them into the pot as well, mixing it all up and oh, it looks gorgeous. "Grab me a pan?" --
  147. [12:07] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You immediately go for a brownie pan next to the stove, grabbing and holding it out in a little bit of wonder. She's so... fluid with her movements. So beautiful. It smells delicious in here too, and you're not sure if that's her or the brownie mix. --
  148. [12:09] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > With a spatula, you swipe the mix from the pot and spread it evenly over the pan, humming softly as hop down and out of his arms to pop it into the oven, getting busy cleaning up. You're not a particularly messy baker, but even you can't prevent the way that flour likes to puff up over the corner of a bowl when you pour or measure it. "So, why are we baking?" --
  149. [12:11] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] The question startles you out of your stupor, and you shake your head. "Hmm? Oh. Uh... I dunno, honestly. I'm hungry and you said you liked baking, and honestly I think it's quite good to watch you doin your thing... You're very good at it." --
  150. [12:14] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You snort softly, wiping the remnants of the powder ingredients from the counter and stovetop and into the bowl you used to mix the dry ingredients. "I only said I bake because you made it sound like I couldn't bake." --
  151. [12:16] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] Your fins perk up, and you blink. You're. Confused for a moment. "Wait, no, I uh. I think you misunderstood me. What I meant was that... Eatin normal food doesn't do as much for you as it does for ot --
  152. [12:16] LS: her people, because of your dietary needs an such, so that's why I said that I was laughin at myself about it. I know you can bake just fine, you heckin... nerd." You tease her, laughing lightly as you lean against the countertop.
  153. [12:19] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > Oh. "Oh," you say, setting everything into the nearest sink so you can wash and replace what you've used. "I mean, I eat normal food, it's just part of my diet... I've figured out over the sweeps that I'm supposed to do around 40% food, 60% blood... ish. I don't eat well, I haven't really studied that closely." --
  154. [12:23] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You pat your own stomach. "Talk about it. I don't eat too well either... At least, not enough to offset the amount of working I do, ahah..." You sigh softly, reaching over to grab the spatula used --
  155. [12:23] LS: to spread the batter. "It smells really good... I'm throughly impressed anyway. I couldn't whip this up like you did, I'd still be dropping everything and worrying about precise portions of ingrediants..." You lean back and crack your back, looking up at the ceiling.
  156. [12:26] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "I add an extra egg and use more brown sugar than white. Frifaj does it a little differently. They're always fudgy, though; this is the kind of brownie I don't mind eating the corner piece of." You kind of writhe a little in your skin when he cracks his back, not out of sympathy pain, but kind of subconsciously trying to do the same. You feel like you've been standing for 30 years. --
  157. [12:27] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You look over to her and frown. "Yeah? You ever dip them in milk?" Straightening, you head over closer to her and settle near her. Proximity makes for bonding... you hope. She looks uncomfortable... You want to fix that. --
  158. [12:29] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "Sometimes... I prefer not to, though. They stay warmer that way, no crumbs in my milk, and it's nice and warm and gooey all the way through without feeling wet..." You sigh softly, leaning against the counter. "...I don't know. I don't really cook or eat unless it's for other people. Since most everyone's gone, I don't really... eat as much as I used to." --
  159. [12:30] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Kind of... hesitantly, you reach for her hand. "... Thank you for cooking for me." Your voice is quiet, a whisper. "I really appreciate it." If she lets you... You'll squeeze her hand. "How long should they be in the oven for?" --
  160. [12:31] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You squeeze his hand back -- that's all easy. You like contact. "You'll smell when they're ready, don't worry." --
  161. [12:33] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You stick out your tongue at her... And then, when she squeezes your hand back... You take it as prompting for more comfort, and you tug, leading her towards you, pulling her into a hug that just... Lingers. Your arm around her, one hand smoothing down her hair, pressing a small kiss to her nose... --
  162. [12:52] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You melt like butter at his touch, making a sound that practically comes out as a whimper. It's just... so nice. You sort of feel your heart skip a beat. "...why do you want to be my friend?" --
  163. [12:59] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Her question takes you by surprise, and you let your lips leave her nose while you think. "There's... a hundred different reasons." You say, quietly. There are so many reasons, they bump around you --
  164. [12:59] LS: r head and clutter up your words, causing you to stutter a bit. "You're... kind, you're... Good. You're the sort of person I want to be around, the, the sort of person I want to have in my house, around me, my family, around my moirail. You're so... sweet, and carin. And you give me... You give me peace. I can trust you with my life. I can trust you with hers. You bring... An e-element to... To MY
  165. [12:59] LS: life, that I haven't... found, anywhere. Even with Meenah. She provides me with a lot, and.. She lets me take care of her, when she needs it, but... You need someone like me in your life, and I need you too, if... If that makes enough sense, I mean. You're just... You're someone I want to... be with. Someone I want... Living here, even, if you were to... want that, t-too, I mean..."
  166. [01:19] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You feel your heartbeat quicken a little as he speaks, and it feels like it's getting a little harder to breathe. You've been offered a place at the hive many times, in many ways; all positive, all --
  167. [01:19] GA: complimentary. There's a part of you - selfish, desperate to cling to every shred of it - that wants to hear more. The rest of you just wants to say yes. But really, you can't do such a thing. "I have responsibilities at home... at the very least, I have to take care of my coma patient..."
  168. [01:22] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Your fins flick down and you let her go, look away. Your hands stay, though, and you worry on your lip for a few moments. "Yeah... But.. Later. You could come here... after... You could bring the c --
  169. [01:22] LS: oma patient. We're outfitted for that... Loz, he.. he was in a coma for a year, so... I'm sure your wrigglers would be okay, moving here... Uhm... But I get if it's not... something you want." You keep worrying at your lip until there's a bead of violet blooming up- Your skin is dried, you haven't been in the ocean for a while, instead choosing to stay indoors. God those brownies smell good. "If y
  170. [01:22] LS: ou wanted, though, you could... stay, later. When everythings done with."
  171. [01:27] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You squeeze his hand again, gentle, leaning against his arm, trying to ignore the fact that you suddenly want his bulge like three times more than usual. "Yeah, that... that doesn't sound half bad. --
  172. [01:27] GA: Maybe just for a little while, maybe... that would be okay." You really want to kiss him, but the brownies are done, so you settle for a peck on the forehead, a mumbled apology, and pushing yourself up again to fetch the brownies, which look absolutely delightful when you set them on the stovetop, with a perfect thin and crinkly layer on top, all shiny and full of butter. Delicious.
  173. [01:32] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > What??? What- no, come back??? Heck... There she goes, leaving a kiss on your forehead and her words in your ears. What's she sorry for?? You aren't sure... You're silent, though, and unmoving, watching, waiting. Maybe hoping she'll come back and hold your hand again. --
  174. [01:36] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You cut out a tiny sliver of brownie and sort of hold it on the knife you're using, blowing softly on it before tapping it onto your hand and bringing it over to offer Clams. "I don't want to spoil a whole brownie by giving it to you at Seadweller-Incinerating Temperatures and burning your tongue, but this is what it's like... I hope you like it." --
  175. [01:48] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Opening your mouth, you wait for her to place the sliver on your tongue before closing your mouth and... letting the full body shiver take you. It melts in your mouth, it's delicious, you almost feel like you could cry from the raw power packed into this tiny sliver. Glow builds up in your cheeks in a warm, violet color, and you purr. "Mmmm....." --
  176. [02:01] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You gently pet at his hair with the non-greasy hand, smiling at him. "Okay, either you like it, or you're having an allergic reaction that involves buzzing. I'm going to assume it's the former." Yo --

  217. [11:30] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You shake your head gently, but not before thinking on it a little bit. "It's late, and that sounds like an awfully big adventure for right now... perhaps another time. It will give me an excuse to come and see you again." --

You're no demon, though, and you gently roll back off of his lap to hold your hand over the brownies. They're still warm, which is good, but they've set much better, so you go ahead and cut them up. "Good call, much longer and they would have gone cool..." --
  220. [11:35] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Your shoulders fall, relieved only slightly. You sit up, and shift over to the tray, next to her. "They smell good. Really.. really good." You too hold out your hand, and pluck up one of the cut up squares. You'll offer this to her, then, being chivalrous. --

"I was tryin to be... gentlemanly. No use in my guest burnin their fingers if it was still too hot, you heckin nerd." --
  223. [11:40] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "Oh, yes. That which does not burn a violet's hand would surely burn a jade. Your logic is ridiculous." You pick up another brownie and hold it up to his lips; a center piece, because you treat the people you like /right/. "Aaaa..." --

  286. [02:15] LS: empress, an, you know how that shit goes... So now I was on land, an uh. Didn't go well." You gesture behind you. "The scar, that runs from shoulder to shoulder, an cuts across where my dorsal sprung up? That's from some trolls who knew who I was. Decided to try an kill me. I made it back to water quickly enough, but I guess she was now aware of my presence.. she decided to keep tryin to capture
  287. [02:15] LS: me, for whatever dumb reason."
  288. [02:20] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You chirr softly, sympathetic. You would probably have done the same, but... that doesn't mean it isn't horrible to hear. "How long were you out there...?" --
  289. [02:21] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] When you speak, your voice is the quietest it's been all night. "... About sixty five sweeps, give or take a few here or there." --
  290. [02:27] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You just search his face for a little while, brows knit together, eyes full of rings that seem to widen and narrow imperceptibly. You press a kiss to his cheek after a few moments of silence, though it's more to the corner of his mouth. "...I'm glad you're here, now." --
  291. [02:31] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You're tight. Lips pursed, eyes wide. Fins quivering softly. You're.. afraid. What is she thinking? what if she doesn't like this story anymore, what if... Oh. She's... Glad, glad you're here...? . --
  292. [02:31] LS: .. Aw. The sentiment warms you, and you relax a little. A few more tears escape your eyes, and you smile fondly. "... Thanks, Abby. ... To make a long story... shorter, I guess... It ended when I found a lil bronzeblood grub, washed up on the beach. Meenah came over to give me some supplies a couple weeks into taking care of the grub... But Fef's guards ambushed both a us, an... Thats how we met."
  293. [02:31] LS:
  294. [02:32] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You nod, taking his hand into yours and gently petting the back of it. "I didn't actually know most of that... I know that was difficult for you, thank you for sharing..." --
  295. [02:35] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You sit up, then, slowly. "... Xee- The grub," You bite your lip, and squeeze her hand. "She didn't make it. One of the guards shot her. But... I've got Meenah, and I've got Meenah's kids.. An they're now mine, an... What more could I ask for? She's precious, an the kids too, an so is her clade... Like you." --
  296. [02:37] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You squeeze his hand back, picking it up to press a soft kiss there. "Like me?" --
  297. [02:38] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You turn to her, and smile. "... Like you." And you smile a little more, a little wider. "... But hey, there you go. You know the whole story... Any... thoughts?" --
  298. [02:43] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You pause and think about it, chewing your lip a little, looking up at the stars. "I think... you were a dumb kid. I don't think that excuses what you did, but I think you were impulsive and what you did was just... too big to undo. You're many, many times older, now, though. You know better. More importantly, you do better. That's what counts." --
  299. [02:44] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You lean over, to try and put your head on her shoulder. "... Yeah. I'm glad you see it that way. Not a lot of people do... Especially now, with me trying to advocate for equality on the side of highbloods AS WELL as lowbloods." --
  300. [02:46] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > Your fingertips brush over his sides, over his gills, and you get a twinge of sympathy pain. You easily let him lean on you -- that's not even a question. "Was this... part of your plan for the evening...?" --
  301. [02:48] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You're about to answer her, but fingers brushing over sensitive tissue brings shivers down your back and puts your mind on high alert. Gills are a no no for most people, even Abby. It derails your path only for a second or two, though, before you say, "... No, and yes," You say, softly. "I wanted us to get to know each other better... so... I guess this counts." --
  302. [02:52] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You bring your hand back, but you do it slowly, not wanting to yank it back and scare him more. "What do you want to talk about, then...?" --
  303. [02:55] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You are quiet again, but this time it only lasts for an instant. "Anything. You. Me. I want to know you, and I want you to know me... I don't want us to just be... fuckbuddies who also happen to have someone in a quadrant. I want to be someone you can turn to, someone you can... trust." --
  304. [02:58] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > Ow. Okay, that kind of stung a tiny bit. You play your fingers over the back of his hand, trying to think of what might be interesting or deep or what have you. "There's... not a lot about my wrigglerhood that is pleasant to listen to. The game didn't last long enough, and I don't do much as it is, so I don't know what to say..." --
  305. [03:00] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] "What... Was growing up alone like?" You say, interupting her for the moment. You know she had to have, why else would she have abandonment issues like you do? --
  306. [03:03] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > That surprises you. You blink at him. "Ah... it was... I don't know. It wasn't that bad at first. I didn't really... understand that I was alone. I saw zombies out my windows every morning and I ju --
  307. [03:03] GA: st sort of assumed I would be one when I grew up, I wasn't really afraid of them or anything but my lusus wouldn't let me out after sunrise..." You look back up at the stars, tilting your head all the way back and reaching a hand up toward them, fingers outstretched, quiet for a few moments. "...I didn't really understand how big and different the world was before I was wrigglernapped. It was like
  308. [03:03] GA: ... I had been dreaming for sweeps, and suddenly I woke up."
  309. [03:05] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Now, you squeeze her hand. "... It was your Ampora, wasn't it." You say. It wasn't... hard to put together. --
  310. [03:18] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You turn your gaze back to him and blink. You don't seem altogether surprised or disturbed that he figured it out, though you doubt he had a painfully similar experience in his own timeline, as dif --
  311. [03:18] GA: ferent from your own as it sounds. "Yeah. He showed me the page in the journal, once, I took a picture with my palmhusk." You uncaptchalogue it and flip back through photos of yourself and your grubs and your long-gone matesprits to the very first picture in your saved photos, tilting the screen to show him.

  314. [03:22] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] "Bein taken as a slave is... never easy." You say. The words echo in the silence around you, of the waves on the shoreline. "Being forced to do something you don't want... To be somewhere you don't w --
  315. [03:22] LS: ant to be... It's not. Everyone tries to one up everyone else like that, though. Oh, you were a slave for one sweep, I've been a slave my whole life, you got hurt, i got my arm ripped off, yadda yadda. But it's not.. like that. It's more simple than that. Being forced to do anything you don't want, no matter for how long, or for what... It's terrible."
  316. [03:24] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You shrug and put your palmhusk away. "Travel across the desert took a week, getting to town took another two days, the day after that I was on the ship and I think it only took him an hour to have --

I can't remember if that was the first time I saw Vriska, the frenzyfins stand out a little more in my mind..." You sigh, soft and resigned. "Anyway, it wasn't that bad. I'm alright. I got to learn two new languages thanks to his foolishness."
  318. [03:26] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] "You got to learn three new languages," You stick out your tongue a little. "Fear counts. The little rumbles of it in your pan, anxiety over being away from hive, over meeting new people or going new places... fear of the water, maybe, i dunno. But still... I'm glad you came out of it alright. What.. did you do? Afterwards." --
  319. [03:28] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You shrug again, kind of looking away. "I don't know. I was rescued, worked at a bar for a little while, went to school... got into sex work. Got into stripping, then I waited tables. I had a stalker, once. I saved up money for a long time until I could afford to get someone who wouldn't ask questions to take me home." --
  320. [03:30] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You listen, quietly. Your hand is still holding hers, now, it's her turn to talk. "There's no shame in that." --
  321. [03:34] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "I was too young," and you're the one murmuring this time, gently taking your hand back. "I used to talk about this more, but... it's not that I'm ashamed, it's just not a topic you discuss with people." --
  322. [03:39] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You let her take her space. You let the silence stretch on for a moment. A minute. Two minutes. "... Is it a topic you can discuss with... me?" --
  323. [03:41] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You feel a little dizzy and you reach out for his hand again. "I... maybe. I have to be careful how I talk about it. Two of my moirails left me after I tried to talk to them about it, before..." --
  324. [03:44] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Your hand is there, cool and strong, and sturdy. "... Fuck them, then. You can talk to me about it. Would you like to do it up here, or down somewhere comfortable?" --
  325. [03:45] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > "...somewhere warm might be nice." You might be stalling a little bit. You don't mind telling him, but... it's ugly. --
  326. [03:52] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > You sit- then stand, holding her hand still, so you can lead her to the ladder and climb down, and then help her if she needed it. --
  327. [03:53] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You stand up and captchalogue his blanket before following along, descending the ladder rather easily. Quietly. --
  328. [03:55] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You don't... Know if she's stalling, but you do know... You do understand needing time to get ready for something. You wait for her to be fully down, then you offer your arms to her. --
  329. [04:03] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You just... walk into them, closing your eyes and pressing your cheek to your chest, ear crumpled between your head and his body. --
  330. [04:06] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] > Ohhh. You stop, now. You stop and you hold her there, close to you. She can hear everything moving about in your body- Blood, your breathing, your heartbeat. You know she needs this... you don't move. You simply.. Let her be with you. --
  331. [04:12] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You give a big, long, contented sigh. You... need this. It's bad, but it feels a little bit like hugging Prince. Not that the two are all that alike, aside from being Good Ampora Boys. "Pick me up...?" --
  332. [04:14] -- lonelySeahorse [LS] You don't do as she asks for a minute more, holding her to you and keeping your arms wrapped around her. But then, yes, yes you pick her up, and you lift her like a small child, moving her head to the crook of your neck and hitching your hands under her rear end. "Like this?" --
  333. [04:15] -- gentleAdjuvant [GA] > You're a little squished, but you don't mind. "Sure, this works... take me away..." --
