- Pom landed and bolted to where Cap was prone, ready to finish him off. On the ground beside the KO’d Captain laid a black orb, shining in the midday sun. Passing it off for some cat toy, Pom stepped past it, but something was drawing him to it. He gazed into it and saw days gone by; the return of the humans, life going back to the way it was. Another kick took him to the ribs while he was daydreaming. Pom hit the ground hard when he heard someone talking over him. He tried to open his eyes but he was losing consciousness; the voices over him sounded human.
