Cxbx-Reloaded XLink Kai Guide

1) Download the latest version of the Cxbx-Reloaded emulator and extract it onto your computer - https://github.com/Cxbx-Reloaded/Cxbx-Reloaded/releases

2) Create an XLink Kai account, then download and install the latest version - https://teamxlink.co.uk. Optionally install npcap as well in winpcap-api compatible mode - https://nmap.org/npcap/#download

3) Start the Cxbx-Reloaded emulator. In the settings drop down menu, highlight "Config Data Location" and ensure Store in AppData is ticked. Optionally tick "Ignore Invalid Xbe Signature" as well.

4) Download the keys.bin file containing the cert and eeprom keys of the Original Xbox and place them within your config directory in "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\Cxbx-Reloaded\" - https://mega.nz/#!J9VRhCTI!-XkBATKbAwtAXT_aI4Wx2TReVmi3eCFul2Mx2ut1CpQ (Note: the first 16 bytes contains the nulled eeprom key, and the second 16 contain the cert key which is 5C0733AE 0401F7E8 BA7993FD CD2F1FE0).

5) Ensure your computer is connected to your network via ethernet. In the Cxbx-Reloaded settings drop down menu, select "Config Network" and select your ethernet adapter.

6) Start XLink Kai and sign in. Then click "Configuration" and select the same network adapter you selected in the previous step, save and restart.

7) Ensure the game you want to play is in extracted format. You can use Xbox Image Browser to extract all xiso files - https://digiex.net/threads/xbox-360-image-browser-2-9-0-350-xiso-browser-and-extractor.3136/. Select File, then open XBE in Cxbx-Reloaded, then hit start in the Emulation menu.

8) Navigate to the arena for the game in XLink and host and join games from the system link menu in the emulator. Make sure that you see broadcast traffic out when searching for games under the metrics menu, and broadcast traffic in when others are.
