gushing_granny: recap

gushing_granny: dan almost dies again

gushing_granny: he and nini find an orc town

gushing_granny: nini gives dan the ability to speak the orc language so he can infiltrate the town and find out information

gushing_granny: our story continues here

gushing_granny: "so, you want me to go into this town....why?"

gushing_granny: "just....find out some information, ill stay here and keep watch."

gushing_granny: dan shrugs

gushing_granny: "why not."

gushing_granny: he walks into the town, it looked pretty barren when he was looking at the outskirts, but as he made his way deeper, the buildings seemed to get drastically more and more advanced

gushing_granny: he also noticed that orcs were not the only species living in the town, he figured it would give him some cover because it wouldnt be as weird for a foreign looking guy like him to be walking into a town like this unannounced

gushing_granny: "so.....i can understand the orc language now huh?"

gushing_granny: he looks over at two orcs talking, it seems that they are talking about an inane recent event that was only relevant to them

gushing_granny: "oh wow, i can."

gushing_granny: "well, i can understand it....."

gushing_granny: he sees another one of those caste metal constructs, a large amount of of the villages citzens are standing around it

gushing_granny: "hmm...."

gushing_granny: he walks over to the 2 orcs that he had noticed a second ago

gushing_granny: "excuse me sirs, can you tell me what that structure over there is?"

gushing_granny: one the orcs turns to dan, eying him up and down

gushing_granny: "i aint seen nobody like you round these parts, is you some kind of alien?"

gushing_granny: "aww, dont be mean to him, we get all kinds of weirdos comin around pokin in our business" the other orc scolds the first one

gushing_granny: the second orc steps up to dan "welcome to our town."

gushing_granny: "that there you see is a beacon"

gushing_granny: "beacon?"

gushing_granny: "yerp."

gushing_granny: "at least, thats what the king told us"

gushing_granny: "king, huh? so......what is this 'beacons' purpose?"

gushing_granny: "its to collect energy."

gushing_granny: "somehow im not surprised."

gushing_granny: "we aint got too many details on it, but the king issupposed tuh gather enough energy usin these things and open some kind of portal and pull some sort of mystical shit out of it"

gushing_granny: the first orc pipes up

gushing_granny: "sounds like some shit if ive ever heard it"

gushing_granny: the second orc turns to him

gushing_granny: "now, dont you go insultin the king! he done made us the way we is today! we wouldnt be nearly as strong as we was without him!"

gushing_granny: "dont be talking all uppity to me, we didnt ask for that loser to come round here, with his fancy shmancy energy and shit. if you ask me, we dont need the stuff, its just all light shows and tricks to me."

gushing_granny: "why you....."

gushing_granny: the second orc punches the first one in the face, and they begin fighting, dan steps away

gushing_granny: "so....there is some kind of king around here...."

gushing_granny: "guess ill go find him...."

gushing_granny: suddenly, dan hears a voice in his head

gushing_granny: "yo."

gushing_granny: dan turns around "who was that?"

gushing_granny: "what, you dont recognize the voice?"

gushing_granny: dan turns around again "oh....well, where are you?"

gushing_granny: "nearby. im speaking to you, what was it you humans called it.....telepathically?"

gushing_granny: "umm.....yeah, ok."

gushing_granny: "so, what have you found out?"

gushing_granny: "i found out that those metal structures we were seeing gather energy"

gushing_granny: "and there is some kind of king behind it all"

gushing_granny: "hmm....sounds dangerous"

gushing_granny: "how?"

gushing_granny: "well you see, its kind of difficult to explain....you could call them, bandits"

gushing_granny: "bandits?"

gushing_granny: "yes."

gushing_granny: "you see, some species learn how to use energy and some dont"

gushing_granny: "using energy is a natural phenomena, but sometimes these species go to other planets and exploit others for profit and slavery, claiming their powers are supernatural and that they are gods"

gushing_granny: "i think this planet may be suffering from this....."

gushing_granny: "so, are we going to do anything about it?"

gushing_granny: "no. we cant go playing hero for every planet that succumbs to bandits."

gushing_granny: "we are here for a reason, and that is to gather information so we can get back home."

gushing_granny: "hold on, i see something"

gushing_granny: dan climbs a small building, looking over into the horizon

gushing_granny: he sees an ornate looking vehicle, it has an open carriage

gushing_granny: riding it is a large, muscular alien guy, he is wearing a very expensive looking cloak

gushing_granny: "wait, isnt that...."

gushing_granny: "YOUR KING HAS ARRIVED, BOW SUBJECTS."

gushing_granny: every one around dan begins to kneel to the dirt, dan jumps down behind the building to stay out of sight

gushing_granny: "nini, i think ive found the king!"

gushing_granny: "wait...that easy? umm, i mean.....go talk to him."

gushing_granny: "i dunno, something seems familiar about him....something bad...."

gushing_granny: "just do it, stop being a wuss."

gushing_granny: ".....shut up, pretty sounding voice in my head."

gushing_granny: dan steps out from behind the building

gushing_granny: he notices that a small group of soldiers are following the levitating vehicle the king is riding in

gushing_granny: the soldiers are all orcs

gushing_granny: "WHO IS THIS, SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT BOW TO ME?"

gushing_granny: "umm, hi."

gushing_granny: the orc king eyes dan up and down

gushing_granny: "I DO NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR SPECIES, ARE YOU OF THIS PLANET MORTAL?"

gushing_granny: "no...could you umm....stop yelling?

gushing_granny: the orc king ignores dans question

gushing_granny: "THEN I WELCOME YOU. YOU ARE NOW PART OF THIS KINGDOM, AND ARE NOW MY HUMBLE SUBJECT."

gushing_granny: "umm....."

gushing_granny: dan looks around, slightly concerned

gushing_granny: he begins to think

gushing_granny: "nini, pls save me"

gushing_granny: "you're gonna have to figure this one out on your own sport. im attending to different matters right now"

gushing_granny: "damn you, pretty voice in my head that does nothing!"

gushing_granny: dan looks at the king for a second, then notices one of his subject talking to him

gushing_granny: "sire, that is the one that attacked the *whisper whisper whisper* almost died and *whisper whisper whisper* internal bleeding *whisper whisper* he'll never walk again."

gushing_granny: the king turns toward dan with an annoyed look on his face

gushing_granny: "MY SUBJECT, ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF MY PRIZED LEGION HAS JUST INFORMED ME THAT YOU HAVE ATTACKED ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF MY ROYAL SCOUTS."

gushing_granny: dans eyes go wide, he steps back a bit "umm....."

gushing_granny: "YOU DO REALIZE THAT ANY ONE OF MY SUBJECTS THAT ATTACKS A MEMBER OF MY PERSONAL ARMY WILL BE EXECUTED, RIGHT?"

gushing_granny: "do they get a conjugal visit from a family member first?"

gushing_granny: the king steps down from his floating vehicle

gushing_granny: he smirks

gushing_granny: "no wonder you were able to defeat a member of my elite scouts."

gushing_granny: "i can sense it. the power within you is great."

gushing_granny: "uhh, why did you stop yelling?"

gushing_granny: the king takes off his cloak, throwing it to the ground, it lands with a large thud

gushing_granny: "great warrior, i do not know where you come from, but your death will be honorable." the king gets into a fighting stace

gushing_granny: "ohhhh fuck"

gushing_granny: "wait, wait wait"

gushing_granny: the king stops

gushing_granny: "what is it? do you not wish to be executed subject"

gushing_granny: "well, obviously, but thats not my point."

gushing_granny: "come on, roll with it" dan thinks

gushing_granny: the villagers are in awe of what it taking place, a public execution is something very rare for them

gushing_granny: "if you want to talk about warriors and honor and all that crap, why do you have your little personal army backing you up?"

gushing_granny: "hmm? do not worry subject, they will not attack you during this battle."

gushing_granny: "i dont believe you."

gushing_granny: "i you rest assured, i only wish to have an honorable battle with a fine warrior such as yourse-"

gushing_granny: "I. Dont. Believe you."

gushing_granny: dan has an intense look on his face

gushing_granny: the king is taken aback by dans sudden determination

gushing_granny: "fine then. if you wish to battle alone, it will be so"

gushing_granny: one of the soldiers speak "but sire, it would be agai-"

gushing_granny: the king shoots a beam of lightning through the orcs chest

gushing_granny: "do not object to my decision. i have told you worthless peons time and time again."

gushing_granny: he looks back toward dan

gushing_granny: "if you wish to fight alone, follow me."

gushing_granny: "i know the perfect battlefield for you demise"

gushing_granny: "fuck, i know i have that...what was it? void stone power stuff, but this guy seems strong."

gushing_granny: dan thinks

gushing_granny: "fine. ill follow you, only if you ensure that we are alone."

gushing_granny: fast forward, dan and the king make their way to a remote part of the jungle

gushing_granny: "nini, damn it, where the hell are you" dan says within his mind

gushing_granny: "you know, its sort of difficult to sense ALL the life forms on this planet. also, i should be asking you that, we werent too far apart a while i go, im sure."

gushing_granny: "ive gotten tied up in...some business. gotta demonstrate my skills a bit."

gushing_granny: "skills? if you are talking about the energy you destroy your body with and the 2 books you read on basic martial arts, i dont think you have a well-defined concept on what 'skill' means"

gushing_granny: "also, are you fighting someone? please dont do that."

gushing_granny: "yeah-yeah, keep on spouting your nonsense."

gushing_granny: dan and the king step into a small clearing in the jungle

gushing_granny: "here. gaze upon the stars, as it will be your last time seeing them."

gushing_granny: dan and the king walk to opposite sides of the clearing

gushing_granny: "we'll see about that."

gushing_granny: brb, gotta take a piss

Ayy1Sauce: you do that, Imma make me a sammich

gushing_granny: back

Ayy1Sauce: Same

gushing_granny: dan looks at this king, studying his stance for weakness, the king does that same to dan

gushing_granny: "dont blink, mortal."

gushing_granny: the king rushes dan insanely fast, punching right at dans head

gushing_granny: he narrowly dodges and backflips out of the way

gushing_granny: "shit, hes fast!"

gushing_granny: he turns, but the king is already beside him

gushing_granny: "PREPARE FOR DEATH, MORTAL"

gushing_granny: he grabs dans arm, and flings him toward a tree

gushing_granny: dan flips in mid air and regains his composure, landing in the tree

gushing_granny: as he does this, the king shoots a ball of flame at dan, he jumps out of way, and the ball of flame incinerates the large tree instantly

gushing_granny: dan looks at its smoldering remains "that would have been bad if it would have hit...."

gushing_granny: he turns his attention back to the king, he is already in front of him

gushing_granny: "oshi-"

gushing_granny: the king kicks dan out of the air, he lands on a large boulder, leaving a crater behind as he stands back up

gushing_granny: "you'll pay for that...."

gushing_granny: dan rushes the king with a flurry of punches and kicks

gushing_granny: the king returns with his own assault, and they begin trading blows

gushing_granny: dan dodges a roundhouse kick as he begins to think "gonna have to bring out the big guns...."

gushing_granny: he back steps away from the king as he shoots multiple rays of energy at him, all exploding the surrounding area as they are being dodged by dan

gushing_granny: dan closes his eyes

gushing_granny: he floods his mind with intense thoughts of a desire to win and memories of bullies picking on him

gushing_granny: "pain is power, pain is power, pain is power"

gushing_granny: a dark blue energy surrounds him

gushing_granny: the mass of energy swirls and expands as dan rushes the king

gushing_granny: "DESTRON PUNCH"

gushing_granny: the king looks at dan quizzically as a thin film of white energy surrounds his hand

gushing_granny: with great difficulty, he catches dans arm, and the energy disperses, having almost no effect of him

gushing_granny: "wait wha-"

gushing_granny: the king jerks dans body around like a ragdoll, slamming him into the ground

gushing_granny: "oof!"

gushing_granny: the king steps back

gushing_granny: "well, look at you, thats some pretty nice energy you go there"

gushing_granny: he holds up his hand, numerous cuts and bruises surround it

gushing_granny: "threw me for a bit of loop, no doubt."

gushing_granny: dan looks up at the king, the king smirks as the wounds begin to dissapear

gushing_granny: "only a bit though."

gushing_granny: dan snarls, he gets up and tries to move his arm, but he cant

gushing_granny: "what the"

gushing_granny: the king looks at dans arm

gushing_granny: "you nearly ripped apart the muscles in your arm, moving the energy through your body like that. do you have ANY idea how that works"

gushing_granny: the king begins to laugh

gushing_granny: "it must be some kind of fluke. haha"

gushing_granny: he points at dan

gushing_granny: "YOU arent a warrior, you are simply a weakling who somehow got a hold to that energy."

gushing_granny: dan snarls at the king, he takes an offensive stance

gushing_granny: "oh yeah?"

gushing_granny: "im sure of it. come at me with your best shot. i dare you."

gushing_granny: "you asked for it."

gushing_granny: dan begins to think

gushing_granny: "if i charge up the attack like a did last time, it maybe powerful enough to defeat this guy, maybe....."

gushing_granny: "its my only chance"

gushing_granny: dan closes his eyes, a blue aura surrounds him, flaring wildly

gushing_granny: he recalls the memory of the bully stomping his arm again

gushing_granny: the king looks at dan "his energy is rising."

gushing_granny: he focuses on the memory while chanting "pain is power, pain is power, pain is power....."

gushing_granny: a massive sphere of energy encircles his arm

gushing_granny: "what? it didnt look like this the last time....."

gushing_granny: his arm suddenly jerks forward, and a massive wave of energy erupts out of his arm "WHAT THE HELL"

gushing_granny: the king takes a defensive stance "here it comes...."

gushing_granny: "kan technique, expanding wave!"

gushing_granny: the king thrusts his hand forward, an almost invisible shock wave of energy bursts forward from his palm, repelling the wave of dark blue energy

gushing_granny: "ugh.....this shit is powerful, how did such a weakling come to have this strength?"

gushing_granny: dan looks at the king as he is having extreme difficulty repelling the wave of blue energy

gushing_granny: for some reason, dans eyes are also completely bright blue

gushing_granny: "what....the hell is going on...."

gushing_granny: "my vision is all weird, what is that thing surrounding the...."

gushing_granny: dans consciousness begins to fade

gushing_granny: he shakes his head "no! i cant fall now...."

gushing_granny: "if he can fend off that attack, im done for, i cant move....my body"

gushing_granny: dan falls to the ground

gushing_granny: the king musters up all of his strength

gushing_granny: "i...can...do......this"​

gushing_granny: he redirects the mass of energy upwards toward the sky

gushing_granny: hmph.

gushing_granny: the king walks over to dan

gushing_granny: he picks him up by the throat, and carries him over to a nearby cliff

gushing_granny: "he destroyed his body using that energy."

gushing_granny: "the weakling doesnt deserve to die by my hands."

gushing_granny: he holds dan over the cliff

gushing_granny: dan, who has almost blacked out, looks at the king

gushing_granny: he shakily mutters "n-no....."

gushing_granny: "if i dont kill him, that energy will."

gushing_granny: he begins to loosen his grip on dans neck

gushing_granny: "farewell. mortal."

gushing_granny: he drops dan, and his lifeless body begins to plummet to the bottom

gushing_granny: "it.......cant.......end​....like this"

gushing_granny: as dan looks at the ground, he summons the last of his willpower

gushing_granny: he closes his eyes, his brain boiling with negativity

gushing_granny: he thrusts his hands forward, a mass of energy encircles his palms

gushing_granny: "gotta.......soften...th​e fall"

gushing_granny: "so...."

gushing_granny: dans vision begins to fade

gushing_granny: "I....."

gushing_granny: the mass of energy begins to get bigger

gushing_granny: "wont"

gushing_granny: it suddenly stops getting bigger, and begins to fade

gushing_granny: "die...."

gushing_granny: dan blacks out, and the energy completely disperses

gushing_granny: after falling for a bit more, he impacts the ground, a resounding crash could be heard throughout the forest
