  1. In light of the partial loss of contact with Bat and the confirmed resurgence of living Camazotz specimens, Magodon has listed the subsequent revival of the Xibalan as a top priority. DNA samples are currently being scanned for the presence of Xibalan descendance, and Magodon believes that it can replicate the creation ritual and give rise to a living Xibalan, given enough research and experimentation. If this project succeeds, we will be able to retain our hold over Bat.

  3. A successful specimen has been found. Subject is a 12-year old female in decent physical health, but that seems to have significant neurodevelopmental delays. Subject is incapable of verbal speech and shows difficulty responding to verbal commands. Estimated levels of cognition are low. The child's mother was very cooperative with our demands to relinquish the subject, and it is good that we were able to avoid a legal battle. It is regrettable that the first new Xibalan will be so profoundy disabled, but it is a starting step to a much greater goal.

  5. An initial physical revealed a rather startling proprensity for violence. At first, subject was compliant with the demands of the examiners, suggesting the presence of some sort of conditioning in its history. Upon undressing and touching the subject, it began to grow agitated, which culminated in it forcibly pulling the needle from its arm during the blood test and an attempt to attack the present doctors. Physical restraints are recommended for future examination.
  6. --
  7. Subject has been deemed physically fit enough to move forward with the first steps in inducing first change. Subject is to be set on a regimen of daily injections of mild steroids (to facilitate growth and a stronger changed form), continued compliance training, and introduced to Wyrmish influence. Should any unexpected physical change occur, alert the proper authorities immediately.
  8. Subject's self-stimulatory behavior has turned disruptive and self-injurous. Instances of screaming, head-banging, or skin-scratching are to be immediately followed by sedation.
  9. --
  10. Progress is going well. Instances of violent behavior have dramatically reduced, though subject is now largely unresponsive to most stimuli. Despite this, testing is ordered to go on as normal. It is thought that the catatonia will largely reverse itself when the first change is induced.
  11. The final ritual is to be performed tonight. Should subject lose consciousness or appear under significant physical duress, the process is to be halted immediately, and the regimen continued.
  12. --
  13. The ritual has been a success. Subject has been placed in isolation for the time being, and on last observation was shifting between forms at a steady rate. It still remains to be seen if they have the mental capacity to fully control their shifting, but it doesn't matter. Bat will be back with us soon.
