  1. TIDEBLADE
  2.
  3. Thought to have belonged to Queen Precipita herself, the Tideblade was discovered by a team of divers exploring the vast underwater ruins at Oceis Vrata in the year 03Bȼד
  4.
  5. Certainly the excuisite carvings on the hilt and intricate engravings along the blade suggest that this was indeed a ceremonial weapon fit for royalty. Some academics sepeculate that this could well have been the blade that skit King Fredimon's throat, thus ending a period of political unrest and civic oppression that lasted nearly 400 years. With King Fredimon's remains still undiscovered, however, this theory cannot be proven.
  6.
  7. The blade is inscribed with a verse written in the ancient Vratic script. Very few scholars have been able to understand this script enough to provide a full and completely accurate translation, but the most likely translation agred upon by the majority of Vratic orthographists is as follows;
  8.
  9. Frothing ocean swells about your fate
  10. Written ages past in turgid depths
  11. Delivered now upon your fragile flesh
  12. Unto the briny waters shall you sink
  13.
  14. There are rumours that the blade adopts a pearlescent shimmer when the moon is full and the high tide occurs at midnight, but this phenomenon is unverified.
