  1. 22:05:18: <Goatwright> Some sort of PA system kicks on. <<Ground team, please board the interface vehicle 'Mayflower'. We will be reaching the planet soon.>>
  2. 22:05:31: <Benedict> Why today of all days.
  3. 22:05:37: <viejo> "Well, I guess Beubay could always take his place..."
  4. 22:05:48: <viejo> "Might prove a better combatant, at least."
  5. 22:06:14: <NachtRuine> Abe makes a general 'not my problem' motion as he gets ready to board.
  6. 22:06:57: <Benedict> Seir calms himself with the imagination of using Doctor J as a dummy for his mech's boxing training, calms himself via breathing through his nostrils, then boards the ship after grabbing his energy weapon.
  7. 22:07:21: <Rainglove> Billy bounces once more, then boards el shippo. He double-checks the drop-pod system. Hopefully they actually land on target this time.
  8. 22:07:41: <Goatwright> 4df+4 Will we have these knees done by the time Seir returns?
  9. 22:07:41: <BEIGE> Goatwright: Will we have these knees done by the time Seir returns?: 4 (4df+4=3+, 4-, 3+, 4-)
  10. 22:07:54: <Goatwright> Just about.
  11. 22:07:59: <viejo> Dr. J chuckles. "No combat for you, little lady." He finds his assistant and leaves her with him (WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO RP THAT SHIT) and then heads to the Mayflower.
  12. 22:08:16: <viejo> "How are you finding your new hats, Billy? I robb- er, acquired them especially for you."
  13. 22:08:27: <Benedict> They better not expect praise or some shit when Seir gets back.
  14. 22:08:28: <Benedict> Like children.
  15. 22:08:42: <Goatwright> No wonder somebody framed Seir.
  16. 22:08:43: <Goatwright> Jeez.
  17. 22:08:52: <NachtRuine> Abe boards. He opens his mouth to go over tips for orbital dropping, but since the first drop went so well, he skips the monologue.
  18. 22:09:14: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal hops on board, his shit READY TO GO.
  19. 22:09:25: <Benedict> Oh, Seir's sorry, do they want a fucking cookie for doing the job they get paychecks for.
  20. 22:09:27: <Benedict> Fucking children.
  21. 22:10:44: <viejo> 4df+4 rolling for Seir's saltiness
  22. 22:10:44: <BEIGE> Viejo: rolling for Seir's saltiness: 3 (4df+4=4-, 3+, 0, 4-)
  23. 22:11:00: <Rainglove> "Oh they are very nice thank you for the gift" Billy fiddles with the piloting panel as he waits to be told what they're doing.
  24. 22:11:35: <Goatwright> Everybody gets on-board, and the ship is hooked to the launching mechanism. The first set of bay doors close behind them as the second set opens in front of them, and then they're suddenly launched into space.
  25. 22:12:00: <Goatwright> Gravity sort of goes away as you make your trip through SPAAAAAACE
  26. 22:12:37: <Benedict> Seir wishes he was back in the old days before he got framed.
  27. 22:12:51: <Rainglove> Billy twiddles his tentacles.
  28. 22:13:19: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal is still quite troubled.
  29. 22:13:33: <viejo> Dr. J fiddles on his phone.
  30. 22:14:02: <NachtRuine> "Hey Mishaal, what was the cap'n talking with you about? Something serious?"
  31. 22:15:26: <Goatwright> Another PA system kicks on inside Billy's ship. <<Alright, everybody. This here is Sterling-II, our first unexplored planet! Be sure to record anything you find - and PRIVATELY, this time, Doctor Jesterwickle - and stay warm. Should be about winter time, now.>>
  32. 22:16:11: <Goatwright> Luckily for Mayhalis, Dr. J probably doesn't have reception out here, anyway.
  33. 22:16:23: <Benedict> "The mention of it being winter would have been more useful before we got on this ship."
  34. 22:16:45: <Hippocratesi> "I am not allowed to say. I'm sorry, Abe."
  35. 22:17:12: <viejo> The iPhone 87 was built to be top-of-the-line. It receives signal even if inside a SUN. At least that's what the slogan says. Maybe he just imagined it.
  36. 22:17:39: <Goatwright> Don't you worry, Seir. You should totally be fine on-planet. Totally.
  37. 22:17:55: <Benedict> The iPhone is a piece of shit anyway. Seir knows, because he knows technology and stuff.
  38. 22:18:06: <Benedict> He wish he knew he would have needed warmer gear, though.
  39. 22:18:07: <viejo> "Confidential talks after a single mission?"
  40. 22:18:13: <Benedict> Thanks, you piece of shit Captain.
  41. 22:18:25: <Goatwright> The Mayflower makes its way into the atmosphere. Lucky for Billy, there's no autopilot this time around.
  42. 22:18:34: <NachtRuine> "Damn, that bad, huh? Alright. Won't prod."
  43. 22:18:45: <Goatwright> What there is is a bunch of flashing warnings about the weather conditions, but he gets to guess where they should be dropping down.
  44. 22:19:15: <Goatwright> Seir, you notice some furs floating around in the corner of the ship. Those'll probably do.
  45. 22:19:22: <Hippocratesi> "You will know soon enough. For now, it is best not to think about it."
  46. 22:19:33: <Benedict> Ugh. Furs. Like some human.
  47. 22:19:59: <viejo> "And that mysterious message certainly won't make us think about i-" Dr. J's attention is turned to a cutie replying on OGSA.
  48. 22:20:01: <Benedict> "Saying that just makes it more likely someone will think about it." Dumb ass giant.
  49. 22:20:04: <Rainglove> Billy looks around for a good landing spot. He remembers he is almost totally blind. He decides other people can probably decide this better than he can. He hops on dat PA. "Anybody want to assist in picking out a landing zone?"
  50. 22:20:11: <viejo> "I knew she found my ribbed-tongue lemur cute."
  51. 22:20:58: <Goatwright> Unfortunately, that's the last message Dr. J'll be getting here! Ain't no cell phone reception in an unexplored system, you POO.
  52. 22:21:06: <Goatwright> Now you have to INTERACT WITH THE OTHER CHARACTERS.
  53. 22:21:18: <Benedict> Or be like Seir and don't bother with anyone.
  54. 22:21:19: <Rainglove> how horrifying
  55. 22:21:22: <NachtRuine> "I gotcha, Billy." He unbuckles himself and heads up to the cockpit.
  56. 22:22:03: <Rainglove> Billy points towards whatever surface scans he has. And the obviously visible planet outside the cockpit. "See anything promising here?"
  57. 22:22:12: <viejo> Dr. J taps the button again. 'Message will not send.' He sighs. Probably for the best, too quick a response kills it with the cuties.
  58. 22:22:16: <Rainglove> "Or anything unusual that bears investigation"
  59. 22:22:26: <NachtRuine> Well? Do I?
  60. 22:22:34: <viejo> "A bear investigation? What?"
  61. 22:22:55: <viejo> "I mean, investigating bears or an investigation led by bears? I'm not sure which is more interesting."
  62. 22:23:13: <Rainglove> "You will have to investigate Mishaal at some other point doctor we are trying to find a landing zone"
  63. 22:23:18: <viejo> "Are there bears down here? Perhaps I can capture one for research."
  64. 22:23:29: <viejo> "Land near the bears if you can, please."
  65. 22:23:49: <Goatwright> With the heavy cloud presence, looking outside isn't much help. The surface scans, however, tell you that you'll soon be flying over a relatively flat area of land soon - the only flat area the scanners have picked up so far.
  66. 22:24:54: <NachtRuine> He points out the flat area. "Clouds are making visual contact a no-go, but there's some flat land coming up. You're probably gonna want to land there."
  67. 22:26:11: <Rainglove> Billy steers in the direction of the flatness. "Well then we will land there"
  68. 22:26:40: <NachtRuine> Job's done, so Abe gets back into his seat.
  69. 22:26:46: <viejo> "By the bears," Dr. J whispers.
  70. 22:27:09: <NachtRuine> "What's with you guys and bears?"
  71. 22:27:41: <Benedict> "Human. I need those furs." Seir points to the warm furs in the corner.
  72. 22:27:47: <viejo> "Well I am an alien-focused biologist, not sure why the others are obsessed with them however."
  73. 22:27:58: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal has no idea what a bear is nor how he resembles one. Oh well.
  74. 22:28:47: <Rainglove> Billy checks to see if there's anything LIVING on the flat area before he goes and squashes it.
  75. 22:28:49: <NachtRuine> "The name's Abe." He is in the process of not getting the furs.
  76. 22:28:51: <Rainglove> or weird structures
  77. 22:28:53: <Rainglove> whatever he can see
  78. 22:29:07: <Goatwright> Not that you're being told by the scanners, Billy.
  79. 22:29:12: <Goatwright> Better have everybody SADDLE UP.
  80. 22:29:13: <Benedict> Seir checks to see if he added the name Abe before, and if not, he adds it.
  81. 22:29:31: <viejo> Dr. J grabs a fur, can he identify the hide it was from?
  82. 22:29:54: <Goatwright> He is completely sure they are false fur.
  83. 22:30:22: <viejo> "False fur," he says somewhat sneering.
  84. 22:30:26: <Goatwright> Do you think the captain is MADE of money?
  85. 22:30:26: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal SADDLES UP.
  86. 22:30:48: <Benedict> He did pay for all of Seir's parts.
  87. 22:30:48: <viejo> "I should've known, what with that cheap chair-not-included deal."
  88. 22:31:17: <Rainglove> "We will be landing soon and conditions are less than ideal you may want to strap in"
  89. 22:31:20: <Benedict> Seir is safe with his furs.
  90. 22:31:23: <Rainglove> And Billy ATTEMPTS THE LANDING
  91. 22:31:25: <Rainglove> WILL HE STICK IT
  92. 22:31:26: <Benedict> And his seat belt.
  93. 22:31:43: <Goatwright> Are you not drop-podding?
  94. 22:32:06: <Rainglove> you said no autopilot goddamnit
  95. 22:32:27: <Goatwright> I meant it as in he is not specifically being given a set of coordinates that it would fly to.
  96. 22:32:33: <Goatwright> He still got his AUTOPILOT as a function
  97. 22:32:47: <Rainglove> "Strap into the pods that is"
  98. 22:32:51: <Rainglove> "Not your seats that would be silly"
  99. 22:33:21: <Benedict> Seir goes to get strapped into his pod. Seir gets breathing to keep himself calm.
  100. 22:33:30: <NachtRuine> Abe grabs a fur as he heads into his pod.
  101. 22:34:16: <Rainglove> Billy clicks on the autopilot. "If you could please land us accurately this time that would be very much appreciated." He heads towards podsville.
  102. 22:34:42: <viejo> Dr. J furs up and gets in his pod.
  103. 22:35:13: <Goatwright> Everybody gets into their pods, the red light starts flashing, and they are dropped from their ship to the ground below.
  104. 22:35:45: <Goatwright> And you drop.
  105. 22:35:46: <Goatwright> And drop.
  106. 22:36:06: <Goatwright> At this point even those of you with limited experience with this sort of thing realize you've probably been falling for too long.
  107. 22:36:18: <Benedict> Dropping sure is scary, Seir thinks to himself with a blank look on his face.
  108. 22:36:21: <viejo> Dr. J listens to music on his iPhone87.
  109. 22:36:41: <Hippocratesi> "We.../were/ dropped, no?"
  110. 22:37:04: <Rainglove> Billy tries to connect to his ship again. "I will have to start doing this manually"
  111. 22:37:13: <NachtRuine> "Yeah, something's going on. Were we dropped in a chasm?"
  112. 22:37:30: <Benedict> Seir is not having fun today.
  113. 22:37:55: <Goatwright> Everybody is finally lurched upward as your pod makes contact with the ground. Your pod doors slide open, and you step out into darkness.
  114. 22:37:56: <viejo> Dr. J taps his tentacles in a rhythm.
  115. 22:38:26: <Goatwright> The only illumination available are the lights fixed to the outside of your pods, and the white hole above you.
  116. 22:39:04: <Benedict> Darkness. Chasm. Lovely. Today is stellar. Seir goes to activate the flashlight feature on his computer.
  117. 22:39:09: <NachtRuine> "Well fucking shit." Abe turns a flashlight on and shines it around.
  118. 22:39:30: <Benedict> Could today get any worse.
  119. 22:39:35: <Goatwright> BAM.
  120. 22:39:37: <Goatwright> It starts raining.
  121. 22:39:38: <viejo> Does Dr. J have an app suitable for searching for bears on his iPhne87?
  122. 22:39:47: <Rainglove> "aren't we uh
  123. 22:39:49: <Rainglove> in a blizzard
  124. 22:39:55: <Goatwright> It was a joke.
  125. 22:40:04: <viejo> It's raining snow, god.
  126. 22:40:08: <Goatwright> yeah rain come on
  127. 22:40:16: <Benedict> Its hail.
  128. 22:40:16: <Goatwright> haven't you had rainy snow before
  129. 22:40:20: <Benedict> Enjoy the pellets.
  130. 22:40:45: <NachtRuine> What's going on with this abyssal plane of existence?
  131. 22:40:49: <Goatwright> Dr. J does not have a bear detector on his phone, no.
  132. 22:41:08: <Rainglove> Billy hmmmms. "Well it appears as though I need to have my autopilot replaced entirely"
  133. 22:41:29: <viejo> Dr. J curses.
  134. 22:41:42: <Goatwright> That isn't what your plane is telling you, Billy. Your plane is telling you that you landed in exactly where you wanted: a big flat patch.
  135. 22:41:47: <viejo> How far are the pods away from one another?
  136. 22:41:54: <viejo> And what mission are they even on?
  137. 22:42:03: <Benedict> "I will replace it for you or fix it as soon as we are back on the ship." Seir does not like this autopilot.
  138. 22:42:04: <Goatwright> Well-clustered.
  139. 22:42:06: <viejo> And why do kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch?
  140. 22:42:19: <Goatwright> They were told they're on a mission to find anything they can, Viejo, GOD.
  141. 22:42:25: <Goatwright> STOP TEXTING AND START READING MY POSTS
  142. 22:42:30: <viejo> "So, slight lapse on my behalf but, what exactly are we searching for down here?"
  143. 22:42:38: <Rainglove> "Stuff"
  144. 22:42:47: <viejo> "I hope the captain didn't say something dumb like 'search for anything.'"
  145. 22:42:47: <Benedict> "Anything." Seir shines his computer flashlight around. Where's a good path out of here?
  146. 22:42:58: <viejo> "Okay then, I'm searching for bears."
  147. 22:43:10: <NachtRuine> "It's an uncharted planet. Probably wants us to see how terrible this place is."
  148. 22:43:15: <viejo> "Or something resembling a bear at least, this could be a suitable habitat for such a creature."
  149. 22:43:16: <Rainglove> Billy hmmms again, then looks around. Any reason this might've shown up as a giant flat spot rather than the giant hole it is?
  150. 22:43:46: <Rainglove> "I guess something was interfering with my sensors then because we did land exactly where we chose to"
  151. 22:44:23: <Goatwright> They illuminate the surrounding cavern. You realize, at this point, that it's huge. Several paths fork from where you've landed, going to who knows where, but you don't see anything specifically leading upward.
  152. 22:44:45: <NachtRuine> Does this cave look like a natural formation?
  153. 22:44:56: <Benedict> Wonderful. Today is just -wonderful-.
  154. 22:45:08: <Goatwright> Well, Billy, you figure the hole you landed in is technically fairly flat. Maybe your co-pilot just can't read the depth measurements.
  155. 22:45:29: <viejo> "The most logical thing to do is split up." Dr. J holds a straight face before laughing. "Nah, that's perfect material for any amateur horror film."
  156. 22:45:47: <Goatwright> Wanna roll SURVIVAL, Abe?
  157. 22:45:52: <Benedict> Seir doesn't know what a horror film is. Probably something stupid.
  158. 22:45:59: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: fuck yeah i do: 3 (4df+5=0, 4-, 4-, 0)
  159. 22:45:59: <NachtRuine> 4df+5 fuck yeah i do
  160. 22:46:00: <Goatwright> In this case, Mishaal would not be able to roll himself. Caves are not a common feature of farms.
  161. 22:46:26: <Goatwright> It's probably natural.
  162. 22:46:27: <viejo> says who?
  163. 22:46:32: <viejo> What if he farms caves?
  164. 22:46:38: <Goatwright> Then he would be a miner.
  165. 22:46:39: <Goatwright> Not a farmer.
  166. 22:46:45: <Benedict> What if you suck dicks.
  167. 22:47:05: <NachtRuine> "Well, at least this place looks normal. For a cave."
  168. 22:47:07: <viejo> What if it was your dick?~
  169. 22:47:30: <Benedict> What if you go back to Billy's tentacle dick(s).
  170. 22:47:42: <viejo> What if he won't take me back?
  171. 22:48:01: <Goatwright> Your best bet at this point would probably be to pick a path and follow it. If you don't find anything, you can always take the pods back up on the Mayflower's next trip around.
  172. 22:48:16: <Benedict> How many paths are there?
  173. 22:48:43: <Goatwright> You count three.
  174. 22:49:12: <NachtRuine> Abe picks a path completely at random. "No point in sitting around doing nothing. We have a discovery mission to do." He doesn't start walking down said path, but moves towards it.
  175. 22:49:42: <Benedict> Seir will take the path the human picked. Not like Seir is the leader of this group.
  176. 22:49:51: <Goatwright> FIRE SHOOTS OUT OF THE CHASM AS A DRAGON DEMANDS ITS RIGHTFUL RESPECT AS YOU ENTER ITS DOMAIN
  177. 22:50:03: <viejo> "I'm not sure why I so blindly agreed to this 'discovery mission' without any briefing whatsoever and a request of 'anything.' I could be doing science right now."
  178. 22:50:15: <Benedict> Is the dragon named Eelis?
  179. 22:50:20: <Goatwright> No, but really, Abe doesn't see much of anything.
  180. 22:50:33: <Goatwright> It isn't eating him, so there's that.
  181. 22:51:01: <NachtRuine> He's shinin' that light around, making sure his eaten status maintains the status quo. "Oh come on, doc, isn't discovery part of science?"
  182. 22:51:14: <BEIGE> Viejo: quick little alertness check: 1 (4df+2=4-, 0, 0, 0)
  183. 22:51:14: <viejo> 4df+2 quick little alertness check
  184. 22:51:41: <Goatwright> Doc doesn't see anything.
  185. 22:52:10: <Benedict> 4df+3 Seir rolls -4 and doesn't see anything. Trust me. Oh yeah, Alertness.
  186. 22:52:11: <BEIGE> Benedict: Seir rolls -4 and doesn't see anything. Trust me. Oh yeah, Alertness.: 3 (4df+3=4-, 3+, 3+, 4-)
  187. 22:52:28: <viejo> "Yes, but minor briefing of some nature might have been useful."
  188. 22:52:37: <NachtRuine> 4df+3 i will alertness too
  189. 22:52:37: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: i will alertness too: 5 (4df+3=3+, 0, 0, 3+)
  190. 22:52:43: <viejo> "Besides I can't see any life forms down here, let alone any bears."
  191. 22:53:55: <Goatwright> Compelling 'I Prefer Planetside' to have Abe head down the cavern without any regard for what he sees. You're on a planet, Abe! A new, dangerous planet! Enjoy it while you can, buddy, or they might have you pull out.
  192. 22:55:05: <NachtRuine> Abe's survival skills are tingling. I deny the compel.
  193. 22:55:47: <Goatwright> Lamerooni.
  194. 22:57:05: <Goatwright> Seir, you see a few stalactites hanging from the ceiling, looming over you. Abe, you see what looks like could be movement around them, but you can't really tell. The roof is too high, and the movement isn't fast enough.
  195. 22:57:15: <Goatwright> Still, there could be something up there. Might want to keep a watch as you progress.
  196. 22:58:39: <Benedict> Neat. Stalactites. Not really, though.
  197. 22:58:49: <NachtRuine> "There might be something on the ceiling. Can't confirm, but keep an eye on it just in case."
  198. 22:58:59: <viejo> Dr. J has a little look up.
  199. 22:59:23: <viejo> Is that... No, it can't be! A slight slither of plot?
  200. 22:59:23: <Benedict> Watch Seir care as he continues to look ahead and follow the path.
  201. 22:59:27: <viejo> Oh, no, it's not.
  202. 23:00:02: <Goatwright> It's not.
  203. 23:00:05: <Goatwright> There is no plot.
  204. 23:00:07: <Goatwright> You have been rused.
  205. 23:00:19: <Goatwright> Run over.
  206. 23:00:28: <viejo> They all die down there alone. Captain hires a new crew.
  207. 23:00:36: <viejo> Rinse and repeat. Reroll new characters. Same time next week.
  208. 23:00:39: <Goatwright> Stalactites fall, everyone dies
  209. 23:00:52: <Benedict> So, anything new while following the path?
  210. 23:01:55: <Goatwright> As they travel down the path, you start noticing puddles of water on the ground.
  211. 23:01:56: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal suddenly phases back into existence. He follows close behind.
  212. 23:02:12: <Benedict> Water. Neat. Not really.
  213. 23:02:25: <viejo> 4df+2 but is it REALLY water?
  214. 23:02:25: <BEIGE> Viejo: but is it REALLY water?: 1 (4df+2=4-, 0, 0, 0)
  215. 23:02:40: <Goatwright> It might be pudding.
  216. 23:02:54: <viejo> Delicious.
  217. 23:03:14: <Benedict> There's more pudding off the path, Mistuh J. Jump off.
  218. 23:03:45: <Goatwright> The further you go, the more water you're stepping in, until you realize you're now going down into a room full of it.
  219. 23:04:00: <Hippocratesi> "Underground lake, maybe?"
  220. 23:04:20: <Goatwright> Alertness rolls all around!
  221. 23:04:30: <NachtRuine> 4df+3 gatdam
  222. 23:04:31: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: gatdam: 5 (4df+3=3+, 3+, 0, 0)
  223. 23:04:38: <viejo> 4df+2 finally I will notice senpai
  224. 23:04:38: <BEIGE> Viejo: finally I will notice senpai: 4 (4df+2=4-, 3+, 3+, 3+)
  225. 23:04:45: <Benedict> 4df+3
  226. 23:04:46: <BEIGE> Benedict: 4 (4df+3=3+, 3+, 4-, 0)
  227. 23:05:50: <Goatwright> Well, you three notice that, up ahead, there's some sort of light source - white, like the hole from earlier.
  228. 23:06:01: <Goatwright> Only Abe, however, notices the quiet sounds of splashing up ahead.
  229. 23:06:12: <Hippocratesi> 4df+1
  230. 23:06:12: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: 0 (4df+1=4-, 0, 0, 0)
  231. 23:06:16: <Hippocratesi> fug
  232. 23:06:17: <Benedict> "A way out up ahead. Maybe."
  233. 23:06:26: <viejo> We're in a volcano, Mishaal.
  234. 23:06:41: <NachtRuine> "Sh. Movement." Abe stops moving to better hear, and points in its general direction.
  235. 23:07:49: <Goatwright> Once you all quiet down, you can all start to hear it.
  236. 23:08:14: <Goatwright> It seems to stop periodically, between what sounds like something continuously going in and out of the water.
  237. 23:08:29: <Hippocratesi> Can we guess how big it is from the splashes?
  238. 23:08:36: <Goatwright> At least man-sized.
  239. 23:09:29: <Goatwright> Do you APPROACH IT?
  240. 23:09:50: <Hippocratesi> 2scared
  241. 23:09:52: <Benedict> Only if its a mech.
  242. 23:10:08: <NachtRuine> Abe approaches, quietly, stealthily. He readies that gun of his, just in case this shit's nasty.
  243. 23:10:19: <Goatwright> You wanna roll dat Stealth?
  244. 23:10:28: <NachtRuine> 4df+3 yeah i do
  245. 23:10:29: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: yeah i do: 4 (4df+3=3+, 0, 0, 0)
  246. 23:10:37: <BEIGE> Goatwright: 1 (4df+2=3+, 4-, 4-, 0)
  247. 23:10:37: <Goatwright> 4df+2
  248. 23:10:45: <Hippocratesi> "Be careful, Abe." Mishaal readies his gun in case shit happens.
  249. 23:11:27: <viejo> Dr. J looks at pictures on his phone.
  250. 23:11:53: <Benedict> Seir clicks his heels and wishes to go home.
  251. 23:12:47: <Goatwright> Abe does not seem to be spotted as he wades further into the water towards the light source. He enters from one cavern into a larger one, and notices the light source is in fact an opening, caused by some sort of long, cylindrical structure of metal that's smashed through the roof of the cave and into the cavern itself.
  252. 23:13:05: <Goatwright> You notice a large breach in the side of the thing, roughly at water level.
  253. 23:13:12: <Benedict> Something like a SPACE SHIP?
  254. 23:13:17: <Hippocratesi> Or
  255. 23:13:19: <Hippocratesi> a pod
  256. 23:13:39: <viejo> We're on a planet not in space how can it be a space ship? Jesus christ benny think before you post god fucking damn it I'm tired of your shit
  257. 23:14:07: <Goatwright> Abe's very limited knowledge wouldn't really let him know what it is, but it's long enough that it's still sticking out of the hole it created.
  258. 23:14:18: <viejo> A colossal robot cock.
  259. 23:14:49: <Goatwright> Soon he sees something emerge from the bottom of the lake - some sort of humanoid figure, draped in cloth robes, and carrying a large box on its shoulder.
  260. 23:15:10: <Goatwright> It crawls up the structure effortlessly, seems to hand the box off to something outside, and then dives back into the water.
  261. 23:17:05: <Rainglove> Billy looks to see if the fish mechanic has wifi down here
  262. 23:17:06: <NachtRuine> Abe decides to head back to the crew. "I don't think the thing making the sound is from here. Light's coming from the surface, big metal rod of some kind. Thing's got clothes on, too. Carrying boxes and stuff."
  263. 23:17:29: <Goatwright> There is no wifi.
  264. 23:17:42: <Benedict> "What is the thing."
  265. 23:18:05: <Benedict> "And do not just repeat big metal rod. What about other features."
  266. 23:18:43: <Rainglove> obviously they are savages
  267. 23:18:46: <NachtRuine> "Fuck if I know. There's a hole in it, might be where the water came from, but don't quote me on that. I'm more interested in the thing moving boxes. It might be non-hostile."
  268. 23:19:35: <Benedict> Why would anyone be interested in a person where there is a space ship, a pod, or a mech nearby. Everyone that is not Seir is weird.
  269. 23:20:00: <Goatwright> Compelling Doctor Jeisswessel's 'Animal Friend' aspect to have him swim on over and find out himself. It could be a new species, Doc!
  270. 23:20:06: <Hippocratesi> "Did you get a good look at it?"
  271. 23:20:42: <viejo> Fuck you GM.
  272. 23:20:53: <Goatwright> GIMME THAT FATE POINT THEN.
  273. 23:20:59: <Goatwright> AND KEEP DISCUSSING IT
  274. 23:21:05: <viejo> Oh fine I'll go have a look.
  275. 23:21:33: <viejo> "No way to find out without getting tentacles-deep in water and moseying on over."
  276. 23:21:35: <viejo> Off he slithers.
  277. 23:22:12: <Goatwright> He gets a nice ol' fate point as payment then.
  278. 23:22:21: <NachtRuine> "Couldn't, not if I wanted to stay unnoticed. Someone else want to go t - well alright." Abe follows, just to make sure he's safe.
  279. 23:22:22: <viejo> Yummy
  280. 23:22:57: <viejo> "Perhaps it's a bear... a cave fish bear..." he says more to himself.
  281. 23:23:17: <Goatwright> Doc sees for himself the strange humanoid figure crawling in and out of the water, hauling various boxers from the bottom of the lake to up above.
  282. 23:23:45: <Benedict> Seir might as well go ahead just to look at the maybe-pod thing.
  283. 23:24:50: <viejo> Well, what is it? GOD
  284. 23:24:52: <Goatwright> Until he mutters, causing it to turn to stare at him mid-climb. Big, orb-like eyes stare out at you, with shrunken, blue-tinted features seeming to constantly twitch. It has a large crest running from a ridge on its nose to the back of its head, at which point it forks into two.
  285. 23:25:16: <viejo> Is it a species he recognises?
  286. 23:25:35: <Goatwright> It isn't! Must be a new species.
  287. 23:25:36: <Goatwright> The huge orb-like eyes stare at you unblinkingly, and it lets out a few whooping sounds before scurrying up and out of the cave, its eyes never breaking contact, never blinking, until it disappears.
  288. 23:26:03: <Goatwright> Seir swims in to get a nice look at that big old METAL ROD. Roll Engineering (Spess), Seir.
  289. 23:26:04: <Benedict> Who cares about that, what about that black rod thing. Is it SPACE-Y?
  290. 23:26:13: <NachtRuine> "Well so much for being covert."
  291. 23:26:17: <Benedict> 4df+3 SPACE STUFF
  292. 23:26:17: <BEIGE> Benedict: SPACE STUFF: 5 (4df+3=3+, 3+, 4-, 3+)
  293. 23:26:26: <NachtRuine> He signals the others to come.
  294. 23:27:03: <Rainglove> Billy floats hisself onward. He wonders when the WIFI will appear. He wonders if he can swim in that lake.
  295. 23:27:23: <viejo> "So much for bears, there's a new species on the menu. Try not to kill it."
  296. 23:27:26: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal walks on over to Abe.
  297. 23:27:39: <Goatwright> Billy conveniently floats on over the lake. Science.
  298. 23:27:43: <viejo> Dr. J goes has a little swim in the water, a little look-see.
  299. 23:28:04: <NachtRuine> "Any idea what in hell that was, doc?"
  300. 23:28:45: <Goatwright> Yes, Seir, it is very much SPACE-Y. This here is an emergency pod, deploying by large-scale ships to house, shelter, and sustain multiple people after a ship's been destroyed, and until help can arrive. It's a newer model, for sure.
  301. 23:29:07: <Goatwright> You figure all the water you're swimming in probably is from the pod itself.
  302. 23:29:08: <viejo> 4df+7 Tagging anatomy/creature expert or whatever it is. Is that creature related to anything he knows, or can he make any reasonable assumptions about it?
  303. 23:29:09: <BEIGE> Viejo: Tagging anatomy/creature expert or whatever it is. Is that creature related to anything he knows, or can he make any reasonable assumptions about it?: 4 (4df+7=4-, 4-, 4-, 0)
  304. 23:29:13: <viejo> fuuuuuggggg
  305. 23:29:39: <Rainglove> well a 4 is still fuggen high
  306. 23:30:33: <Goatwright> By the way it was moving, it's probably fairly adapted to climbing up slick structures, but its skin and outfitting certainly didn't suggest that it's aquatic, Doc. The twitching of its face could be something like shivering to help them conserve warmth.
  307. 23:30:41: <Benedict> "Whatever the doctor scared off probably is from this planet. This is an emergency pod from what I have to presume is a now-destroyed ship. Or that thing the doctor scared off has killed the people in the pod."
  308. 23:31:14: <Benedict> probably isn't*
  309. 23:31:20: <Goatwright> Those eyes stay in your mind, though. There's something about them that seemed off.
  310. 23:31:24: <NachtRuine> Abe looks about for one of those boxes, maybe he can find out what's inside and why the thing was so interested in it.
  311. 23:32:05: <Goatwright> Abe, with the light flooding into the cavern, you can see a box or two lying at the bottom of the lake.
  312. 23:32:27: <Rainglove> Billy waves at the scared fishman from the shore. "Hi!"
  313. 23:32:47: <viejo> "By the way it was moving, it's probably fairly adapted to climbing up slick structures, but its skin and outfitting certainly didn't suggest that it's aquatic. The twitching of its face could be something like shivering to help them conserve warmth."
  314. 23:32:49: <viejo> :^)
  315. 23:33:08: <Rainglove> in the direction it disappeared to, that is
  316. 23:33:17: <viejo> "On a more subjective level something about its eyes seemed off. I can't quite place it, however."
  317. 23:33:38: <Goatwright> Billy, they scampered up out of the hole that the huge fuckin' pod crashed through.
  318. 23:33:45: <Goatwright> There is no waving back, or any sort of response.
  319. 23:34:23: <Hippocratesi> Is there any rolling involved in swimming?
  320. 23:34:25: <Benedict> "Twitching of the face. So it isn't native. Probably from the pod itself." Seir then stops caring about the strange spider people because the pod is more interesting.
  321. 23:34:54: <Goatwright> To just wade in general, or get a box?
  322. 23:35:02: <NachtRuine> "Anything useful, doc? That's a lotta nothin'." He looks to the bottom of the water. "I'm going down into the water to grab a box. If I'm not back in a minute, something's wrong." He dives!
  323. 23:35:05: <Hippocratesi> To get a box I 'spose
  324. 23:35:12: <Goatwright> That would be STAMINA.
  325. 23:35:15: <Hippocratesi> o
  326. 23:35:19: <Hippocratesi> i have a lot of that
  327. 23:35:22: <NachtRuine> 4df+2 i got this
  328. 23:35:22: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: i got this: 1 (4df+2=4-, 3+, 0, 4-)
  329. 23:35:28: <NachtRuine> i might not got this
  330. 23:35:58: <Goatwright> The cold gets to Abe too quickly for him to make it all the way down. You might wanna find a way to dry off, Abe.
  331. 23:36:04: <Goatwright> Cold and humans is generally bad.
  332. 23:36:43: <NachtRuine> "Well never mind. It's damnably cold."
  333. 23:37:02: <Rainglove> Billy examines the water. Can he, perhaps, swim in this more easily then the fleshy human? Considering both his squidlike nature and complete environmental insulation.
  334. 23:37:22: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal approaches the shore. "Maybe I could." He leaves his shatgun and dives in, swimming towards one of the boxes.
  335. 23:37:57: <Hippocratesi> 4df+4 I AM A MAN OF PEERLESS MIGHT
  336. 23:37:57: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: I AM A MAN OF PEERLESS MIGHT: 5 (4df+4=3+, 4-, 0, 3+)
  337. 23:38:11: <Rainglove> Billy decides that the bear got this
  338. 23:38:24: <Goatwright> The bear does in fact got this. Mishaal hoists up not one, but TWO of those boxes.
  339. 23:38:34: <Hippocratesi> I. AM. STRONK.
  340. 23:39:34: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal drops the boxes on shore. "Here you go! Now we must open them."
  341. 23:40:25: <Goatwright> If you'd like to get out of the cavern, by the way, you must CLIMB and all.
  342. 23:40:35: <Goatwright> But for now you may look at the boxes.
  343. 23:40:42: <viejo> 4df+3 muh stamina
  344. 23:40:42: <BEIGE> Viejo: muh stamina: 5 (4df+3=3+, 3+, 3+, 4-)
  345. 23:40:55: <NachtRuine> Wot is on the boxes?
  346. 23:40:57: <Goatwright> Well, Doc gets himself a box, too.
  347. 23:41:11: <viejo> WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOX
  348. 23:41:13: <NachtRuine> Any markings or texts?
  349. 23:41:17: <Rainglove> Billy EXAMINES the boxes.
  350. 23:41:25: <Benedict> "I am not opening those boxes."
  351. 23:41:55: <Goatwright> The boxes brandish the symbol of the Esurgan Empire on them.
  352. 23:42:03: <Goatwright> Looks like you got the boxes of them damn bugs.
  353. 23:42:08: <Rainglove> "You can't let one bad box experience put you off boxes forever they are so useful"
  354. 23:42:30: <Benedict> "Esurgans." Flat and monotone. Yep.
  355. 23:42:43: <viejo> Dr. J opens a box.
  356. 23:42:47: <NachtRuine> "Let's see what they were so interested in, then."
  357. 23:44:39: <Goatwright> Each box is full of various resources. Blankets, canned foods, first-aid kits. You know, the usual.
  358. 23:44:55: <Rainglove> any HATS?
  359. 23:44:55: <Goatwright> Oh, and not to mention the guns and knives buried under those supplies.
  360. 23:45:03: <Goatwright> There are, in fact, snow-weather hats.
  361. 23:45:11: <Rainglove> billy claims one
  362. 23:45:18: <Hippocratesi> "Survival equipment."
  363. 23:45:28: <NachtRuine> "Looks a little like my kit."
  364. 23:45:44: <Benedict> Seir claims one, if Billy doesn't try killing him for it. Seir wants to keep his head warm.
  365. 23:46:15: <NachtRuine> "Hey Doc, grab a picture of the boxes for the Cap'n."
  366. 23:46:30: <Goatwright> Doctor J's box remains unopened. It has a slightly different symbol.
  367. 23:46:37: <viejo> Dr. J snaps a couple of pictures of the various shit.
  368. 23:46:48: <Benedict> What kind of symbol?
  369. 23:46:56: <Benedict> Also, are these winter hats just Ushankas or something?
  370. 23:46:59: <viejo> Dr. J puts the lid down on the first and takes a picture of that, then the second.
  371. 23:47:06: <viejo> Then he opens the second.
  372. 23:47:29: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal goes to open the Doctor's box. What be inside?
  373. 23:51:14: <Goatwright> Billy and Seir, you two can roll at +2 (for your criminal aspects) to discern what it is.
  374. 23:52:00: <Goatwright> Meanwhile, with the box open, everybody notices large bags of various vials and bottles full of pills and powders, and a few unmarked jars of sepia-toned liquid.
  375. 23:52:05: <Goatwright> As in just roll 4df+2, you two
  376. 23:52:16: <Benedict> 4df+2 Well, okay.
  377. 23:52:16: <BEIGE> Benedict: Well, okay.: 3 (4df+2=4-, 3+, 0, 3+)
  378. 23:53:07: <Rainglove> 4df+2 I won't beat that
  379. 23:53:08: <BEIGE> Rainglove: I won't beat that: 3 (4df+2=0, 3+, 0, 0)
  380. 23:53:11: <Rainglove> well
  381. 23:53:14: <Rainglove> I didn't beat it
  382. 23:53:25: <Hippocratesi> "Doctor! This is your area, no?" Mishaal gestures to the vials and shit.
  383. 23:53:41: <viejo> Dr. J shrugs. "Depends what they're to do with." He examines them.
  384. 23:53:50: <Goatwright> Billy and Seir can confirm that no, it is not his area.
  385. 23:53:58: <Goatwright> Unless he's a drug smuggler>
  386. 23:54:11: <viejo> A smuggler of drugs, no, a drug user? Perhaps. :^)
  387. 23:54:28: <viejo> "No, they don't mean anything to me."
  388. 23:54:49: <Benedict> Drugs on a presumably Esurgan ship? Or was there another ship? Seir considers these questions, but don't need to make it obvious he knows anything about them drugs.
  389. 23:54:58: <Benedict> Guess us two don't know the symbol, though?
  390. 23:55:20: <Rainglove> do we get anything else besides knowing they're illegal drugs?
  391. 23:55:35: <Goatwright> Yeah sorry my keyboard is fuggin up.
  392. 23:55:40: <NachtRuine> "What is this stuff? Medicine?"
  393. 23:55:54: <Hippocratesi> "Maybe drugs?"
  394. 23:56:18: <Benedict> It's drugs.
  395. 23:56:41: <Goatwright> Yes, you recognize the symbol as that of the Marzani Cartel, a cartel with a particularly heavy presence among the Alliance of Free Planets. For some reason or another, you both have had your brush ins with them.
  396. 23:56:57: <Goatwright> To be in on an Esurgan ship, Seir, is quite unusual.
  397. 23:57:30: <Benedict> The Marzani Cartel. Seir isn't sure if he has a contact with them. Frankly, he hopes he doesn't. Marzani are cheap assholes, last Seir remembers.
  398. 23:57:38: <Rainglove> "Oh this is a Marzani shipment and these are rather illegal" Billy sounds more interested then bothered one way or the other. He snags one of the vials and examines it more closely.
  399. 23:58:11: <NachtRuine> "What the hell's an illegal shipment doing on a place like this?"
  400. 23:58:18: <Goatwright> A viscous substance sloshes around in the vial, a dark brownish-red.
  401. 23:58:19: <Benedict> Well, if Billy is gonna go ahead, Seir can at least act surprised or questioning. "I thought they only operated within Free Planet territory."
  402. 23:58:32: <Rainglove> "Well I would imagine it was dumped here by whoever dropped these other crates"
  403. 23:59:09: <Rainglove> He sloshes it once more. Too bad he knows fucking nothing about these things.
  404. 23:59:20: <Benedict> "Why would Esurgans have it, unless they supply the Marzani."
  405. 23:59:29: <Goatwright> While everybody is busy focusing on the drugs, three loud splashes sound from behind you.
  406. 23:59:39: <Benedict> Loooooovely. Seir looks behind him.
  407. 23:59:48: <Hippocratesi> "It is possible they were-" Oh no. Splashes. Mishaal turns to look.
  408. 00:00:02: <NachtRuine> As does Abe.
  409. 00:00:43: <Rainglove> Billy pockets the vial, hoping maybe they can figure out what it is once they get back on the ship. Then he turns around and waves at the splashes. "Hello again!"
  410. 00:00:57: <Goatwright> One of the figures from earlier is hanging off the side of the pod, carrying what looks to be an energy pistol aimed at the five of you. Its huge, orb eyes stare at you, seeming to watch you closely.
  411. 00:01:12: <NachtRuine> So much for non-hostile.
  412. 00:01:23: <Goatwright> The water below it ripples as it ignores Billy's greeting.
  413. 00:01:31: <Benedict> What pricks. Must be because Billy stole a hat.
  414. 00:01:31: <Goatwright> It lets out a nasally hoot.
  415. 00:01:50: <Rainglove> babelfish why have you failed me
  416. 00:02:15: <Rainglove> Billy curses unknown languages and stops waving.
  417. 00:02:28: <Goatwright> Roll Alertness, everyone!
  418. 00:02:36: <Rainglove> 4df-1 AHAH

  433. 00:06:04: <Goatwright> One of the large-eyed creatures suddenly lunges out of the water, very obviously, seeming to almost flop onto the shore as it makes a dash for the box full of drugs.
  434. 00:06:21: <Hippocratesi> I KNEW IT
  435. 00:06:24: <Hippocratesi> THEY'RE JUNKIES
  436. 00:06:26: <Goatwright> Only Seir sees the second figure rise up near-silently, grabbing for another box of food and supplies.
  437. 00:07:00: <Benedict> "It's going for the box." Seir points out the second figure.
  438. 00:07:48: <Rainglove> Billy ponders the floundering fishman. "I do not think that is how you do that"
  439. 00:08:07: <Benedict> I guess I can attack first?
  440. 00:08:47: <Goatwright> If he wants to, sure.
  441. 00:09:13: <Benedict> Well, okay, don't want no box thief around here, so let's shoot for the second guy.
  442. 00:09:15: <Goatwright> Does anybody else attack the, y'know, first one going for the drugs?
  443. 00:09:35: <Benedict> 4df+2+2 I think I am doing this right. Also, 1 Pen.

  448. 00:11:01: <Goatwright> The other creature, clearly having failed to procure the narcotics, jumps in after its friend.

  452. 00:11:50: <viejo> It's not pen I was tagging sword master or whatever my aspect is.
  453. 00:11:56: <viejo> The last value is harm
  454. 00:11:59: <Benedict> Well, I did not know. I am sorry.
  455. 00:12:50: <Goatwright> Yer at 3 fate points, then.
  456. 00:13:04: <Goatwright> Which one were you cutting, the one that grabbed at the drugs?
  457. 00:13:05: <viejo> How?
  458. 00:13:13: <Goatwright> Oh wait, 4, you got one earlier.
  459. 00:13:20: <viejo> How many do we start with a session? %?
  460. 00:13:23: <viejo> 5?*
  461. 00:13:25: <Goatwright> 5.
  462. 00:13:42: <viejo> Have I tagged anything before now?
  463. 00:13:48: <Goatwright> Yeah, you tagged anatomy expert
  464. 00:13:51: <Rainglove> Billy, lacking any manner of combat skills, opts to grab the drugs and pull them away from the fishman. He feels moderately bad about this.
  465. 00:13:52: <viejo> Ah yee
  466. 00:14:01: <viejo> And yes, the one that grabbed at the drugs.
  467. 00:14:04: <Benedict> Billy can sell the drugs later for hat money.
  468. 00:14:05: <Benedict> It's okay.
  469. 00:14:05: <Rainglove> you did accept a compel

  473. 00:15:32: <Goatwright> Doc lands a huge cut along its side, causing it to bellow in pain as the water surrounding you suddenly takes on a dark red tint. It lags behind its friends as it makes its way towards the escape pod. Free-taggable aspect/compel "limping in pain".
  474. 00:16:03: <viejo> Can I tag that for my agility to catch him?
  475. 00:16:24: <Goatwright> The other one that grabbed the food box makes it to the pod, and a third that seemed to dive for a box makes it up as well, and the two climb up. The one hanging from the ship remains there.
  476. 00:16:35: <Goatwright> Yeah, roll Agility twice. One to catch him, one to avoid gettin' shot

  492. 00:18:43: <Hippocratesi> also 1 pen
  493. 00:19:24: <Goatwright> Yes. His finger seems to stumble with the trigger, and he pulls at it awkwardly, giving it a recoil it wouldn't normally have. He shoots his friend, and this seems to knock him out, causing him to sink into the water. Doc is able to catch up to him and stop him from reaching the bottom, at least.
  494. 00:19:34: <BEIGE> Goatwright: stahp no dun shoot: 2 (4df+3=4-, 4-, 3+, 0)

  497. 00:20:56: <viejo> Dr. J wants to drag that stunned guy back to the surface, do I need to roll?
  498. 00:21:36: <Goatwright> Nah, he's surprisingly light and putting up little resistance, so you get him to shore fine.
  499. 00:21:55: <Benedict> Seir wants to grab that abandoned energy weapon. How about it?
  500. 00:22:09: <Goatwright> He isn't dead, but he's definitely not in good shape. He has heavy, bleeding burns on his sternum, and that cut you just cave him.
  501. 00:22:21: <Goatwright> Seir, roll Stamina to dive in and get it, same as erryone else.
  502. 00:22:34: <viejo> "Nothing like a brisk bout of combat to make things more interesting." Can he quickly tie the goi's wrists together above his head and his ankles together?
  503. 00:22:39: <Benedict> FUCK THAT.
  504. 00:22:47: <Benedict> I ain't rolling shit. Seir will just let the weapon go down below.
  505. 00:23:14: <Goatwright> The creature's very unresponsive, so yes.
  506. 00:23:31: <viejo> He does so, tying it up. He then attempts to tend to its wounds.
  507. 00:23:47: <viejo> 4df+2
  508. 00:23:47: <BEIGE> Viejo: 1 (4df+2=3+, 4-, 4-, 0)
  509. 00:23:50: <viejo> welp
  510. 00:23:52: <Benedict> "Big guy." Seir talks to Misha. "Can you get that weapon that is sinking. Want to see if its better than mine."
  511. 00:24:36: <Goatwright> Well, you helped a little, at least.
  512. 00:24:57: <Hippocratesi> "Very well." Mishaal goes to grab the wepon.
  513. 00:25:01: <viejo> "Do any of you have any form of medical skills whatsoever? I can't seem to stop the bleeding as much as I'd like with what I have on hand.
  514. 00:25:02: <viejo> "
  515. 00:25:05: <Benedict> There are medical supplies in that crate. Couldn't the doctor use those supplies to get a roll bonus?
  516. 00:25:23: <viejo> Maybe Seir could suggest that and be FRIENDLY.
  517. 00:25:33: <Benedict> How about fuck you and your pet, Doctor.
  518. 00:25:38: <Rainglove> Billy, completely lacking in medical skill, goes to check out that pod
  519. 00:25:56: <Benedict> Hippo, you need to roll staminas to get the weapon.
  520. 00:25:56: <viejo> Dr. J suddenly remembers the medical supplies. Can he reroll with a +2? :^)
  521. 00:26:00: <Goatwright> Mishaal, roll that stamina.
  522. 00:26:19: <Hippocratesi> oh
  523. 00:26:27: <Hippocratesi> jesus LET ME ROLL IT GOD

  528. 00:26:45: <viejo> hahah 'SEIR LITTLE SCRATCHED FACE BABY MAN SAVE ME#
  529. 00:27:50: <Goatwright> Mishaal, the bloody water makes it too hard to find anything, and so you're forced to go back up.
  530. 00:28:03: <Goatwright> Also yeah Doc shoar go ahead.
  531. 00:28:14: <Goatwright> Or actually
  532. 00:28:19: <Goatwright> Roll with a +1, not a +2
  533. 00:28:30: <viejo> 4df+3 oy vey
  534. 00:28:30: <BEIGE> Viejo: oy vey: 3 (4df+3=0, 4-, 0, 3+)
  535. 00:28:44: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal swims back up through the blood and crawls onto shore. "I could not see it, small man. I am sorry."
  536. 00:28:49: <viejo> Dr. J uses some of the medical supplies in hope of tending to the creature's wounds.
  537. 00:29:08: <Benedict> "Oh well." Seir is as blank-faced as ever. He'll just examine/explore the pod.
  538. 00:29:36: <Goatwright> Doc is able to bandage all the wounds and stop the creature from bleeding. Still, in these conditions, it's possible that he could succumb to infection eventually, but for now he probably won't die.
  539. 00:30:12: <viejo> Dr. J wipes his forehead. "The creature will live for now, however we should return to more appropriate conditions in order to improve its chances."
  540. 00:30:19: <Goatwright> Seir swims on over to the pod along with Billy. After some investigation, the two of you notice an open hatch on the other side of it, and a ladder leading up into it.
  541. 00:30:28: <viejo> How many fate points am I on? 2?
  542. 00:30:39: <Benedict> Seir is climbing in first. Fuck you, squid.
  543. 00:30:43: <Goatwright> 4.
  544. 00:30:53: <Goatwright> Or wiat
  545. 00:30:54: <viejo> Pretty sure I'm on at least 3
  546. 00:30:55: <Goatwright> wait*
  547. 00:30:56: <Goatwright> 3, yeah
  548. 00:31:02: <Goatwright> YOU GOTTA KEEP TRACK OF THIS FOR ME
  549. 00:31:03: <viejo> at most*
  550. 00:31:06: <Rainglove> Billy follows.
  551. 00:31:06: <viejo> I'M SORRY
  552. 00:31:15: <viejo> Can Dr. J attempt to get the energy gun?
  553. 00:31:22: <Goatwright> Sure.
  554. 00:31:28: <viejo> 4df+3 not wasting fate points on that little shit
  555. 00:31:28: <BEIGE> Viejo: not wasting fate points on that little shit: 3 (4df+3=4-, 0, 3+, 0)
  556. 00:31:36: <Goatwright> Eyyy he manages to get it.
  557. 00:31:57: <viejo> Dr. J pops back up and throws the gun to Seir. Yes, I do want an agility roll or something like that for him to catch it.
  558. 00:32:01: <viejo> "Here, it's all yours."
  559. 00:32:14: <Goatwright> Seir is inside the pod now.
  560. 00:32:23: <viejo> Aw
  561. 00:32:23: <Goatwright> So you chuck at it at the side of the pod and it falls into the water again.
  562. 00:32:26: <Goatwright> :^]
  563. 00:32:30: <viejo> haha
  564. 00:32:43: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal keeps on the lookout just in case any of those swimmin' thing shows up again.
  565. 00:33:25: <Goatwright> Seir and Billy both manage to get up inside of the pod. It's in pretty good condition, considering everything. Though the water supply was breached, the shelter area was not.
  566. 00:33:29: <viejo> 4df+3 BACK INTO THE WATER
  567. 00:33:29: <BEIGE> Viejo: BACK INTO THE WATER: 3 (4df+3=4-, 4-, 3+, 3+)
  568. 00:33:32: <Goatwright> Alllllertness, you two.
  569. 00:33:36: <Goatwright> Eyyyy he gets it again.
  570. 00:33:59: <Benedict> 4df+3 Alert and ready.
  571. 00:33:59: <BEIGE> Benedict: Alert and ready.: 1 (4df+3=0, 4-, 0, 4-)
  572. 00:34:03: <Benedict> I am not ready.
  573. 00:34:06: <viejo> He keeps hold of it this time. He laughs when he resurfaces and straps it on his back.
  574. 00:34:09: <Rainglove> 4df-1 a-am I ready
  575. 00:34:10: <BEIGE> Rainglove: a-am I ready: -3 (4df-1=3+, 4-, 4-, 4-)
  576. 00:34:13: <viejo> jesus
  577. 00:34:19: <Benedict> At least it wasn't -5!
  578. 00:34:25: <Rainglove> Billy
  579. 00:34:32: <Rainglove> you need glasses
  580. 00:34:37: <viejo> Can Dr. J return the drop-pod with the alium?
  581. 00:34:44: <Goatwright> The lack of light is very difficult for Billy to cope with. He bumps into the wall.
  582. 00:34:53: <Benedict> "You need glasses."
  583. 00:34:57: <Rainglove> "I do"
  584. 00:35:04: <Rainglove> Billy looks for some sort of CIRCUITRY
  585. 00:35:15: <Rainglove> perhaps a COMMAND UNIT
  586. 00:35:19: <Goatwright> Seir, similarly blind, trips over something.
  587. 00:35:21: <Rainglove> maybe a BLACK BOX
  588. 00:35:33: <Goatwright> He slams his face into the corner of a couch. It does not help his face.
  589. 00:35:52: <Rainglove> Billy flips on his LAPTOP FLASHLIGHTOP and shines it around
  590. 00:35:54: <Benedict> "Shit." Seir says in a monotone as his face slams into the corner of a couch. He's probably bleeding again, too. Damn it.
  591. 00:36:03: <Rainglove> "Perhaps you also need glasses"
  592. 00:36:07: <Goatwright> Billy reveals what Seir tripped over.
  593. 00:36:11: <Goatwright> A corpse! How lovely.
  594. 00:36:33: <Rainglove> is it a FISHMAN
  595. 00:36:35: <viejo> Are the drop pods our way of returning and are there any better facilities on the Mayflower for the alium?
  596. 00:36:56: <Benedict> "I don't like glasses." Oh look, a corpse. "Its a corpse." Neat.
  597. 00:37:09: <Goatwright> Also yes, Dr. J, he can. However, they'd have to send it back down for him to go back up, and if some potentially hostile alien woke up on your only method back to the ship, it could go bad.
  598. 00:37:18: <Goatwright> The main ship, that is.
  599. 00:37:56: <Rainglove> "Surely the doctor will accommodate you if you want laser eye surgery"
  600. 00:38:40: <Goatwright> It is not a fishman. Rather, it is an esurga! Those almost cockroach-grasshopper figures that lead the Esurgan Empire. Its outer shell is very much molted and grey, with peeling all along it.
  601. 00:39:23: <Rainglove> Billy resists the urge to feel it, looking around for any clue about what happened to cause the crash.
  602. 00:39:28: <Benedict> "I'll wait for better eye augmentations." Seir 'accidently' kicks the Esurgan corpse as he gets up. He reactivates his wrist-mounted computers flashlight. Any obvious signs of death?
  603. 00:41:28: <Goatwright> Mishaal!
  604. 00:41:59: <viejo> Dr. J goes back to the drop pod with the alium over his shoulder and goes back up to the ship.
  605. 00:42:00: <viejo> Woooooosh
  606. 00:42:38: <Hippocratesi> si senor
  607. 00:42:39: <Goatwright> Compelling Freedom Fighter. Maybe you should climb up that huge escape pod like the big-eyed guys were and poke your head out of the cavern. See if you can find out where they've gone. You would have a better means of defending your partners if you could see where the enemy was.
  608. 00:43:03: <Goatwright> Doctor J, after some minutes, launches up onto the ship on its next round over. He connects to it successfully.
  609. 00:43:19: <Hippocratesi> Well, of course I go with it. Mishaal makes an attempt to climb up the pod and stick his head out.
  610. 00:43:28: <Goatwright> Billy, you find a console center for the operation of the pod.
  611. 00:43:33: <Goatwright> Seir, there is not.
  612. 00:44:13: <Rainglove> Billy checks to see if everyone's out of the water. Wouldn't do anyone any good to power this thing on and zap someone.
  613. 00:44:14: <Goatwright> Mishaal gets +1 Fate point, and manages to use his climbing skills to pop his head up out of the hole.
  614. 00:44:21: <Hippocratesi> Wuz out there?
  615. 00:44:25: <viejo> Dr. J sets the alium down somewhere nowhere near any kind of controls, make sure the bindings on its wrists and ankles are securely bound, and then binds those binds to something strong and sturdy on the ship.
  616. 00:44:38: <Goatwright> Nothing, as far as you can tell. You might want to look a little closer, though, eh?
  617. 00:44:42: <viejo> 4df+5 checking anatomy to make sure there aren't any hidden limbs or shit
  618. 00:44:42: <BEIGE> Viejo: checking anatomy to make sure there aren't any hidden limbs or shit: 9 (4df+5=3+, 3+, 3+, 3+)
  619. 00:44:48: <viejo> @^)
  620. 00:44:52: <NachtRuine> damn son
  621. 00:45:03: <Rainglove> what was its favorite color?
  622. 00:45:12: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal lifts himself up a bit more. CAN I SEE ANYTHING NOW, HUH?
  623. 00:45:13: <Goatwright> Blood orange.
  624. 00:45:18: <Goatwright> ROLL ALERTNESS
  625. 00:45:35: <viejo> Dr. J also checks to make sure it is breathing properly.
  626. 00:45:46: <Hippocratesi> 4df+1 OH GOD DON'T HIT ME NOT THE FACE
  627. 00:45:47: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: OH GOD DON'T HIT ME NOT THE FACE: 3 (4df+1=0, 3+, 3+, 0)

  630. 00:45:57: <Goatwright> I believe that everybody is in fact out of the water, but you do have your trusty bear on the top of this thing.
  631. 00:46:01: <Rainglove> Billy assumes everyone is out of the water and attempts to power up the pod.
  632. 00:46:03: <Goatwright> I meant Mishaal, Abe, but sure
  633. 00:46:10: <Goatwright> You can be up on the top of the pod too if you want.
  634. 00:46:16: <NachtRuine> he would liek to be
  635. 00:46:20: <viejo> give me an answer to my 9 god damn it
  636. 00:46:39: <Goatwright> Goddamn viejo there are 5 of you doing 4 different things
  637. 00:48:24: <Goatwright> Your alien, now that you have better lighting on him, does in fact reveal some very important details to you. Those huge eyes you saw? False. You notice four small little black marbles of eyes along the bridge of its nose that, you confirm, are in fact its real eyes. Its hands also show signs of padding similar to that of a gecko, giving you a good idea of
  638. 00:48:33: <Goatwright> how it climbs around. No hidden limbs, though, aside from the eyes.
  639. 00:48:57: <Goatwright> It also seems to have some trouble breathing, but after being shot in the sternum by a space laser, that's no surprise.
  640. 00:49:13: <viejo> thanks doc
  641. 00:49:21: <viejo> Is there anything he can do to ease said breathing?
  642. 00:49:46: <Goatwright> You've done all you can, unfortunately.
  643. 00:50:19: <Goatwright> Abe and Mishaal don't see any aliens, but they do both see a very clear trail of blood, showing where they would have gone.
  644. 00:50:25: <Goatwright> If you wanted to follow, now you could.
  645. 00:50:40: <Goatwright> Billy, the pod doesn't kick on. Looks like any power source it had before is now dead.
  646. 00:50:45: <viejo> Dr. J zips back on down and returns to the others.
  647. 00:50:50: <Hippocratesi> "Should we follow?"
  648. 00:51:01: <viejo> Not before taking a few pictures of the alium.
  649. 00:51:12: <Benedict> Seir looks around on the ship for things to take back for info. Like abandoned tablets and such.
  650. 00:51:14: <Rainglove> Billy examines the console, looking for a hard drive or anything similar he can remove
  651. 00:51:38: <Goatwright> Rrrroll Computers!
  652. 00:51:45: <Goatwright> Both of you.
  653. 00:52:17: <Benedict> 4df+4 I am good at computers, too, but watch me roll 4 minuses. Or 4 zeros.
  654. 00:52:17: <BEIGE> Benedict: I am good at computers, too, but watch me roll 4 minuses. Or 4 zeros.: 7 (4df+4=3+, 0, 3+, 3+)
  655. 00:52:29: <NachtRuine> "Not sure. What'd be the point? We've already scared them off."
  656. 00:52:44: <BEIGE> Rainglove: tagging overqualified: 3 (4df+5=3+, 4-, 4-, 4-)
  657. 00:52:44: <Rainglove> 4df+5 tagging overqualified
  658. 00:52:47: <Rainglove> hnnnngh
  659. 00:52:57: <Rainglove> well, better then a 1
  660. 00:53:00: <viejo> Go away Billy this is Seir's time to shine.
  661. 00:53:10: <Rainglove> we're doing different things loser
  662. 00:53:18: <viejo> GO AWAY BILLY
  663. 00:53:21: <viejo> GO ROLL FOR HATS
  664. 00:53:52: <Goatwright> Billy finds what looks like a copier, which would at least likely have a hard drive containing everything that was copied or printed from it. 'Eyy?
  665. 00:54:15: <NachtRuine> documents are very important
  666. 00:54:31: <Benedict> Unless they made 250 copies of their bare ass.
  667. 00:54:33: <Rainglove> Billy picks up the copier and puts it on his hoverchair.
  668. 00:54:38: <Rainglove> The whole thing.
  669. 00:54:40: <Goatwright> The
  670. 00:54:43: <Hippocratesi> "Hm. I suppose you are right."
  671. 00:54:43: <Goatwright> the whole thing?
  672. 00:54:51: <Rainglove> as much of it as he can
  673. 00:55:01: <Goatwright> Billy's chair starts to turn over.
  674. 00:55:07: <Goatwright> until he flops out of his chair
  675. 00:55:13: <Goatwright> Copier and all.
  676. 00:55:15: <viejo> ded
  677. 00:55:25: <Goatwright> ded confirm
  678. 00:55:27: <Goatwright> roll new goy
  679. 00:56:09: <viejo> Dr. J goes up into the pod as well when he reaches it, is there anything he can do?
  680. 00:56:38: <Goatwright> Seir finds the grand daddy of it all, though. Having some knowledge of this build of emergency pod, he finds a hidden lever under one of the console panels and a door pops open, revealing several drives, each one full. Looks like they've been here for a while.
  681. 00:56:39: <Benedict> There's a dead Esurgan if you want to study him.
  682. 00:56:44: <Goatwright> Yes, that.
  683. 00:57:01: <BEIGE> Viejo: examining the body for anything interesting: 5 (4df+5=3+, 0, 4-, 0)
  684. 00:57:01: <viejo> 4df+5 examining the body for anything interesting
  685. 00:57:11: <Benedict> How heavy are these drives or are they like thumb drives?
  686. 00:57:16: <NachtRuine> So how deep is the cave from the surface anyways?
  687. 00:57:17: <Goatwright> Also Mishaal/Abe roll Alertness again :^)
  688. 00:57:32: <NachtRuine> 4df+3 at this rate i might switch eva and alertness
  689. 00:57:32: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: at this rate i might switch eva and alertness: 3 (4df+3=0, 3+, 0, 4-)
  690. 00:57:36: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: wuh oh: 1 (4df+1=0, 3+, 4-, 0)
  691. 00:57:36: <Hippocratesi> 4df+1 wuh oh
  692. 00:58:40: <Goatwright> It was the best way I could give the two of you a chance t- WHACK. The GM's lengthy excuse is cut short by Abe and Mishaal both getting smacked in the back of the head by the butt of, what Mishaal can best guess, is the butt of a rifle.
  693. 00:59:00: <Goatwright> It doesn't hurt them in the long-run, but it smarts like a bitch and you get a pretty rough headache.
  694. 00:59:01: <Rainglove> Billy HMMMMS from the floor
  695. 00:59:07: <Rainglove> he decides he cannot take the entire copier
  696. 00:59:21: <NachtRuine> goat would using survival have let me seen that coming?
  697. 00:59:55: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal grunts. God damn that hurt. Whoever it is, he tries to talk to them, "We mean no trouble."
  698. 00:59:57: <Benedict> So, about these drives? They small and light enough for Seir to take all of them?
  699. 01:00:00: <Goatwright> Probably. Want to give yourself the +2 to your 3?
  700. 01:00:10: <NachtRuine> I ACTIVATE EYE OF THE TIGERKUGA
  701. 01:00:17: <NachtRuine> *tiger growl sound*
  702. 01:00:23: <Hippocratesi> reow
  703. 01:00:40: <Rainglove> Billy removes the copier from his chair and starts looking for whatever the important parts of a copier are
  704. 01:00:55: <Rainglove> maybe they need to restock on toner on the ship or something
  705. 01:00:55: <Goatwright> Abe manages to hear the snow crunch and ducks clean under the rifle, just quick enough to give him some time to react. RRRRRRREOW
  706. 01:01:10: <Goatwright> Well you can just take a panel off a copier and unscrew the hard drive, you know.
  707. 01:01:11: <Benedict> "I might have found our holiday bonus."
  708. 01:01:14: <Goatwright> Or rather, Billy knows.
  709. 01:01:36: <Goatwright> Seir, they're not thumb drives. More about a foot in length.
  710. 01:01:50: <Benedict> How many are there and how heavy are they?
  711. 01:01:54: <NachtRuine> "Contact!" Abe turns around and points his own gun at the rifle swinger.
  712. 01:02:13: <Rainglove> Billy takes the hard drive, then floats over to seir. "Need help moving th-" He turns to look in the direction of Abe's shout.
  713. 01:02:53: <Goatwright> Doc Jeisswessel, you notice that this corpse is in fact a corpse due to self-inflicted gunshot wound, to what you can identify is a major organ. Bug bodies are unusual.
  714. 01:02:56: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal simply turns around with Abe, pointing his shotgun at the thing. Jesus, his head.
  715. 01:03:12: <Goatwright> But you can tell this bloke was rather old when he died, and the corpse itself is, too.
  716. 01:03:17: <viejo> So he most definitely killed himself?
  717. 01:03:21: <Goatwright> Yes.
  718. 01:03:26: <Goatwright> You can tell by angles and shit.
  719. 01:03:29: <viejo> Dr. J sighs and heaves him over one shoulder.
  720. 01:03:48: <viejo> Then troops on to wherever the others went, into the pod or whatnot.
  721. 01:03:52: <viejo> Or further into it.
  722. 01:03:56: <NachtRuine> who be this person assaultan us
  723. 01:04:02: <Goatwright> Well, you're where everybody except two of them are.
  724. 01:04:34: <Goatwright> Billy pokes his head out of the pod to see Abe and Mishaal at the top of it, aiming their guns at something you can't see. Abe and Mishaal, it is another one of those blue bug-eyed figures, staring down at you.
  725. 01:04:47: <Goatwright> It doesn't move with both of your guns on it.
  726. 01:05:02: <Benedict> Fuck it. Seir will take as many as he can carry and start heading for the others.
  727. 01:05:05: <Goatwright> They're not too heavy, maybe about as much as a brick.
  728. 01:05:18: <Goatwright> You'd say there's 7 of them.
  729. 01:05:21: <Hippocratesi> "'Scared them off', eh?"
  730. 01:05:53: <viejo> Dr. J follows the others.
  731. 01:06:27: <Benedict> "Are you all done. I found something we can take back to the ship, so let's grab it and go back."
  732. 01:06:47: <NachtRuine> "I've been wrong before and I will be in the future." Abe tries to look menacing against this bug-eyed freak.
  733. 01:06:58: <Goatwright> As I said, Dr. J and Billy are right under the other two, and the top of the pod at this point is sort of full.
  734. 01:07:28: <Goatwright> Said bug-eyed freak sort of just stands there, looking as if it isn't sure what to do.
  735. 01:07:32: <Goatwright> Maybe he expected that to work.
  736. 01:07:37: <viejo> "Found anything interesting, Billy?"
  737. 01:07:45: <viejo> Dr. J says, the insectoid body still over one shoulder.
  738. 01:07:49: <viejo> He's just so strong.~
  739. 01:07:49: <Hippocratesi> "Can you...understand us?" He tries talking to it again.
  740. 01:08:14: <Goatwright> It responds with a nasally squawk.
  741. 01:09:34: <NachtRuine> "I don't know if that's a yes."
  742. 01:09:56: <Hippocratesi> "I do not think it was."
  743. 01:09:58: <Rainglove> "Just a copier but I think the nintir found something more interesting though I am unsure what it is as I asked him and he left"
  744. 01:10:53: <Goatwright> It continues staring at you, before going in to smack Mishaal in the face with the butt of its rifle again.
  745. 01:11:10: <viejo> "Very impolite. Now would you mind watching this dead body for me and making sure it doesn't run off anywhere?" He dumps the body on the floor before climbing up the ladder and having a peek at what's going on.
  746. 01:11:36: <Goatwright> BAP.
  747. 01:11:44: <Hippocratesi> 4df+4 I'm shooting this primitive fuck
  748. 01:11:45: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: I'm shooting this primitive fuck: 6 (4df+4=3+, 0, 0, 3+)
  749. 01:11:50: <Hippocratesi> get dominated
  750. 01:11:52: <Goatwright> 4df+3 pls no why
  751. 01:11:52: <BEIGE> Goatwright: pls no why: 4 (4df+3=0, 0, 0, 3+)
  752. 01:11:54: <Hippocratesi> god damn fish
  753. 01:11:58: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: agreed i guess: 5 (4df+3=3+, 0, 0, 3+)
  754. 01:11:58: <viejo> Don't you need to add damage hippo?
  755. 01:11:58: <NachtRuine> 4df+3 agreed i guess
  756. 01:12:00: <viejo> and shit
  757. 01:12:03: <Rainglove> Billy stares at the corpse
  758. 01:12:04: <Hippocratesi> >:U
  759. 01:12:10: <Rainglove> He hmmmms
  760. 01:12:13: <Hippocratesi> i have no idea, we didn't add damage before
  761. 01:12:16: <Goatwright> The corpse stares back.
  762. 01:12:16: <viejo> Dr. J pokes his head up as they begin to blam the alium.
  763. 01:12:18: <NachtRuine> oh, +2 to that for harm, and penetration 2
  764. 01:12:20: <Benedict> Seir wishes he knew what was more important than KNOWLEDGE.
  765. 01:12:25: <Hippocratesi> a-also pen 1 i forgot to mentio
  766. 01:12:26: <Goatwright> Hippo you add the +_ harm
  767. 01:12:33: <Hippocratesi> oh
  768. 01:12:51: <Hippocratesi> well
  769. 01:12:54: <viejo> "Well now that really is quite rude." Dr. J comments as the alium is presumably completey and utterly blammed to pieces.
  770. 01:12:54: <Hippocratesi> it's +1 harm
  771. 01:13:21: <Goatwright> Well, it's not, but it's nearly dead. Already.
  772. 01:14:08: <Goatwright> The blast from Mishaal's shotgun sends it reeling back, blood pooling into the snow from its abdomen. It squawks and bellows, clutching at its gut as it tries to limp away, Abe's shot hitting it in the back of its shoulder as it tries to flee.
  773. 01:14:35: <Rainglove> Billy continues watching the corpse. He wonders what's happening upstairs. He turns to face the Nintir, still watching the corpse. "So /did/ you find anything interesting down here?"
  774. 01:14:41: <viejo> Is it the same creature as the one Dr. J hauled earlier?
  775. 01:14:44: <Goatwright> Free taggable "Shotty Shooting Arm" and "Distracted By Loose Guts"
  776. 01:14:51: <Goatwright> Same kind, different one.
  777. 01:14:58: <Rainglove> "All I found was a very heavy copier and the hard drive on it but I do not think that will be very useful"
  778. 01:15:10: <viejo> Dr. J shrugs. "Eh, I already nabbed me one of those earlier."
  779. 01:15:21: <viejo> He scuttles back down the ladder.
  780. 01:15:44: <viejo> "Hush dear Billy! Your skills have proved most useful so far."
  781. 01:16:00: <Rainglove> "Doctor it is a copier it is not very useful"
  782. 01:16:07: <viejo> "Now, where did my dead body get to? Have you been keeping an eye on it?"
  783. 01:16:10: <Goatwright> They watch it as it runs away from them, following in the same direction of the blood trail they noticed earlier.
  784. 01:16:19: <Rainglove> Billy is still staring determinedly at the body.
  785. 01:16:27: <Hippocratesi> "It did not give us many options." Mishaal watches it crawl.
  786. 01:16:36: <viejo> "Good, good, I have faith in you, Billy. Just making sure."
  787. 01:16:50: <NachtRuine> "Almost feel sorry for the poor bugger. Hey, looks like it's going the same way the others went. Maybe they have a base?"
  788. 01:16:56: <viejo> He hauls the body back over his shoulder and turns to face something else. The dead alium's face is looking directly at Billy over Dr. J's back.
  789. 01:16:58: <Benedict> "I found something very interesting, and I need everyone to help me take back what I found."
  790. 01:17:23: <Rainglove> Billy continues staring.
  791. 01:17:25: <Hippocratesi> "It is possible. It won't get there though."
  792. 01:17:30: <Rainglove> Fucker won't win this one
  793. 01:17:47: <Benedict> Squid, its a dead body.
  794. 01:17:49: <Benedict> Stop.
  795. 01:18:48: <NachtRuine> "Should we follow? Cap'n told us to find something. Looks like we found something."
  796. 01:19:25: <Hippocratesi> "It would be wise to. Shall we go or bring the others?"
  797. 01:19:26: <Benedict> Seir raises his voice to yell to Big Guy and Monkey. "Come down here and help me carry stuff back to the pods. Stuff that could make us rich." Seir knows how greedy humans can be. He expects Abe to come running down.
  798. 01:19:34: <viejo> "There's some commotion above, perhaps we should find out how that's going."
  799. 01:19:51: <viejo> Can Dr. J throw the insectoid body up through the hatch above with his mighty robot arm?
  800. 01:21:17: <NachtRuine> Abe looks back down to Seir. "Not now, we might be onto something. All the bug-faces' blood goes in one direction. Probly a bunch of 'em that way."
  801. 01:21:50: <Goatwright> Roll Stamina for it, Doctor J.
  802. 01:21:51: <Goatwright> For giggles.
  803. 01:22:01: <viejo> 4df+3 HRK
  804. 01:22:01: <BEIGE> Viejo: HRK: 1 (4df+3=4-, 0, 0, 4-)
  805. 01:22:04: <viejo> Hngh
  806. 01:22:16: <Goatwright> It goes up a bit and then falls back down onto Billy's chair.
  807. 01:22:16: <viejo> Does it land on Seir?
  808. 01:22:20: <Goatwright> His chair doesn't topple over, though.
  809. 01:22:27: <Rainglove> "Oh dear"
  810. 01:22:31: <Rainglove> Billy stares
  811. 01:22:40: <Rainglove> fucking body thinks it can get up in his shit
  812. 01:22:44: <Rainglove> billy'll show it
  813. 01:22:46: <viejo> "More comfort for my specimen. No but seriously I wanted to throw him up above rather than haul him." Dr. J sighs.
  814. 01:22:51: <Benedict> "I found what I presume to be all the information about this Esurgan drop pod. That's more valuable than finding some spider and shooting it."
  815. 01:23:11: <viejo> "Spiders? Where? How big? What colour?"
  816. 01:23:27: <viejo> Dr. J is immediately interested and hauls the insectoid body up above and joins the other two.
  817. 01:24:12: <Hippocratesi> "Doctor. We think these things have a base."
  818. 01:24:28: <Hippocratesi> "They all head in the same direction." He points to the blood trail and the dying fishman.
  819. 01:24:29: <Rainglove> Billy assists in carrying however many hard drives he can
  820. 01:24:41: <Rainglove> apparently roughly the weight of a dead fish-thing's corpse worth of them
  821. 01:24:54: <Benedict> There's 7 of them. Seir and Billy could probably carry all of them back to the pods.
  822. 01:25:06: <Goatwright> They can.
  823. 01:25:09: <viejo> "Well, they were after those mysterious crates which seems as good as anything to go on for 'anything.' Let's go. Want to lead the way, Abe? Being our tracker."
  824. 01:25:32: <Goatwright> The non-fish-looking-fish-man eventually hobbles over a hill, and goes out of view.
  825. 01:25:48: <Hippocratesi> oh right they don't look like fish
  826. 01:25:51: <Hippocratesi> fug
  827. 01:26:10: <Benedict> Well, Seir will do that, and Billy can join him. Because all the other fuckers care more about shooting shit instead of knowledge about an enemy faction. Losers.
  828. 01:27:03: <Rainglove> Billy follows Seir. If he can, he hauls the crate of drugs back with them and secures that shit.
  829. 01:27:26: <Benedict> Seir and Billy probably secure information worth millions.
  830. 01:27:32: <viejo> Billy and Seir proceed to get high with the alium on the ship.
  831. 01:27:33: <Rainglove> Breaking into the pharmaceutical field.
  832. 01:27:51: <Goatwright> Breaking Billy.
  833. 01:28:04: <Benedict> Seir will be a little prick and make sure that it is noted that it was he and Billy, not the rest, that secured this knowledge.
  834. 01:28:12: <Benedict> Okay, back to the others, I guess.
  835. 01:28:26: <Rainglove> Billy keeps a lookout for any alien critters on the way.
  836. 01:28:28: <NachtRuine> "Yeah, sure." He goes up upon the surface and starts tracking.
  837. 01:28:29: <Rainglove> Any little swimmy fags.
  838. 01:28:36: <Rainglove> Any big bug fags.
  839. 01:28:46: <Benedict> Big bugs for Seir.
  840. 01:28:54: <BEIGE> Viejo: keeping an eye out for them aliums: 3 (4df+2=3+, 0, 0, 0)
  841. 01:28:54: <viejo> 4df+2 keeping an eye out for them aliums
  842. 01:29:00: <Goatwright> The two arrive back in the cavern to watch the other 3 climb up out of the hole.
  843. 01:29:04: <Goatwright> Abe, roll survival
  844. 01:29:12: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal follows Abe.
  845. 01:29:17: <NachtRuine> 4df+5 naturally
  846. 01:29:18: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: naturally: 3 (4df+5=4-, 3+, 4-, 4-)
  847. 01:30:24: <Goatwright> Wow you suck Abe
  848. 01:30:27: <Goatwright> Everybody gets lost and dies
  849. 01:30:37: <NachtRuine> alawys blaming it on abe
  850. 01:30:45: <NachtRuine> he's not just a
  851. 01:30:45: <Hippocratesi> Always Bet on Abe
  852. 01:30:47: <NachtRuine> scabegoat
  853. 01:31:11: <Goatwright> 10/10 scabegoat
  854. 01:31:28: <NachtRuine> yep
  855. 01:32:13: <Benedict> Oooh, let's follow the shitty spider or whatever things in the snow. We surely won't get lost. We surely won't lose the opportunity to make millions even though Seir is telling us we can make money. Seir has these thoughts run through his head as his hate for the group grows a little more.
  856. 01:32:43: <Goatwright> You manage to follow the trail of blood and tracks through the snow, eventually spotting some sort of rough settlement ahead, surrounded by a rudimentary fence of branches, thorns, and sharpened pikes, likely to protect them from predators.
  857. 01:32:46: <Goatwright> Or in this case, you guys.
  858. 01:34:01: <Goatwright> There's also a large figure in the middle of the settlement, but what it is you can't tell.
  859. 01:34:07: <Goatwright> You are 2far.
  860. 01:34:13: <Hippocratesi> "Maybe this species was meant to be uplifted?"
  861. 01:34:38: <NachtRuine> "Perhaps? How else could they have energy weaponry?"
  862. 01:34:43: <viejo> "I wonder if there is anything we can offer them in some small attempt to be less hostile."
  863. 01:34:58: <Rainglove> "Why would the esurgans be performing uplifts?"
  864. 01:35:16: <Goatwright> Asking the good questions, you all.
  865. 01:35:20: <Hippocratesi> "I do not know. There are many things we do not know."
  866. 01:35:42: <NachtRuine> "Food or warm clothes comes to mind, doctor. Perhaps they were merely scavenging in the cave."
  867. 01:35:51: <viejo> "Perhaps they make good shock troopers, it was a very similar occurrence with the great war on my home planet."
  868. 01:36:15: <viejo> "My most renowned study focused around better enabling creatures to be geared for combat, would you believe it."
  869. 01:36:18: <Rainglove> Billy hmmms. "Perhaps the contents of the crates were intended for them but that does not explain why the ship crashed"
  870. 01:37:27: <NachtRuine> "We could grab the survival kit we found in the cave and use that as the gift."
  871. 01:38:04: <Hippocratesi> "...I suppose we should have grabbed it."
  872. 01:38:18: <viejo> "Well, they did want the boxes, didn't they? Should someone go back and grab one or two?"
  873. 01:38:38: <viejo> "I say 'someone' because I'm already hauling this fellow."
  874. 01:38:41: <Goatwright> You do also still have the drugs.
  875. 01:38:47: <Goatwright> Which you nearly killed one of them for.
  876. 01:38:52: <viejo> Goat this is no time for them to drug up god damn.
  877. 01:39:10: <Goatwright> THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT, DAD
  878. 01:40:30: <NachtRuine> "I can grab them." Abe presses a button on his suit and jump jets reveal themselves and begin to rev up.
  879. 01:41:00: <viejo> "I really must acquire a smaller version of that for my pet ribbed-tongue lemur."
  880. 01:41:07: <viejo> "For... science."
  881. 01:41:25: <Hippocratesi> "Are you sure you can bring them all by yourself?"
  882. 01:43:10: <Benedict> "We could just go back. By foot. And offer them all a box each, if we can find them."
  883. 01:43:38: <NachtRuine> "That... Is probably smarter, yes."
  884. 01:43:58: <Benedict> Of course it's smarter. Dumb fucking ape.
  885. 01:44:06: <NachtRuine> Jump jets slow to a stop.
  886. 01:44:11: <Goatwright> What's an ape?
  887. 01:44:33: <Benedict> Idiots that Nintir got for their zoo from the humans.
  888. 01:44:43: <NachtRuine> let's just say we all grab a crate and move on?
  889. 01:44:46: <viejo> AND SO THEY ALL WENT BACK AND GOT CRATES AND NOW THEY HAVE CRATES
  890. 01:44:48: <Goatwright> Please
  891. 01:44:50: <Benedict> "Also, wouldn't these little... jump things reveal your position, and therefore our position."
  892. 01:44:54: <NachtRuine> CRATES OBTAINED
  893. 01:44:58: <Goatwright> Did they pick up the drugs crate?
  894. 01:45:02: <Benedict> And so they all got a crate and returned to the village.
  895. 01:45:07: <viejo> Look at us all trotting along with a drugs crate and other crates and these crates
  896. 01:45:15: <Benedict> Crates galore.
  897. 01:45:27: <Rainglove> faggots taking billy's drugs he'll fucking kill you if that shit goes missing
  898. 01:45:34: <Goatwright> With the hat obsession and the crates, it's like we're really playing TF2!
  899. 01:45:40: <Rainglove> Billy continues to float along like he does
  900. 01:45:43: <viejo> ha ha ha CONTINUE THE DAMN RP
  901. 01:45:49: <Goatwright> NO LAUGH WITH ME.
  902. 01:45:59: <NachtRuine> HAH
  903. 01:46:02: <NachtRuine> YES
  904. 01:46:03: <NachtRuine> JOKES
  905. 01:46:04: <NachtRuine> NEXT
  906. 01:46:07: <viejo> hahahhahaha joty
  907. 01:46:31: <Benedict> Seir does not laugh, the autistic fuck.
  908. 01:46:33: <Goatwright> They arrive at the village, each of them holding a crate. They the two aliens they shot earlier, huddled over in a corner and being consoled by a few of the large-eyed aliens.
  909. 01:46:49: <Benedict> Praise us as your gods, you inferior aliens.
  910. 01:46:49: <Goatwright> They also notice the guards standing there at the front, staring with those big eyes, aiming energy rifles at you.
  911. 01:46:56: <Goatwright> Speaking of which, hey Seir.
  912. 01:47:04: <Benedict> What.
  913. 01:47:05: <Goatwright> That big thing in the center of the town?
  914. 01:47:08: <Goatwright> That there's a mech.
  915. 01:47:14: <Benedict> Oh my.
  916. 01:47:16: <Benedict> OH. MY.
  917. 01:47:17: <NachtRuine> oshit
  918. 01:47:33: <Rainglove> Billy hmmms. "Where do you think that came from?"
  919. 01:47:44: <BEIGE> Benedict: But can he identify the mech? Well, it is probably an Esurgan mech, but whatever.: 5 (4df+5=0, 3+, 4-, 0)
  920. 01:47:44: <Benedict> 4df+5 But can he identify the mech? Well, it is probably an Esurgan mech, but whatever.
  921. 01:47:59: <viejo> Are they uplifts?
  922. 01:48:35: <Goatwright> How would you be able to tell just from looking at 'em?
  923. 01:48:43: <viejo> Keen eyesight.
  924. 01:48:52: <viejo> Can I use animal friend with a charm roll?
  925. 01:49:27: <Goatwright> Also, you are correct, Seir. It is an Esurgan mech, a Class-S.
  926. 01:49:31: <Goatwright> Go for it, guy.
  927. 01:49:47: <Benedict> Well, not yet. We need to be accepted by this village of faggots.
  928. 01:49:50: <viejo> 4df+5 pls 2 b friendly
  929. 01:49:51: <BEIGE> Viejo: pls 2 b friendly: 4 (4df+5=4-, 4-, 0, 3+)
  930. 01:49:53: <viejo> fug
  931. 01:50:37: <viejo> "If we could attempt to communicate in a more friendly manner that would be great." He tries to speak calmly to them as he offers a crate.
  932. 01:50:42: <BEIGE> Goatwright: Well...: 5 (4df+2=3+, 3+, 3+, 0)
  933. 01:50:42: <Goatwright> 4df+2 Well...
  934. 01:50:45: <viejo> WELP
  935. 01:50:50: <viejo> WE'RE GOING IN HOT BOYS
  936. 01:50:59: <Goatwright> WOAH WOAH WAIT
  937. 01:51:03: <Benedict> Class-S. Sleipnir. Scout Frame. The mech, the drop pod, it seems there was an attempt by the Esurgans to colonize this planet. That is what Seir presumes, at least.
  938. 01:51:35: <viejo> I hope Abe has grenabes on him for this
  939. 01:51:42: <Goatwright> One of them steps forward, prodding at Doctor J with the rifle, almost confused as to what it should be doing, before he opens the crate and looks down inside of it.
  940. 01:52:21: <Goatwright> He seems to nod to himself and snatches it from his hand, turning back to his fellow guardsmen and giving some sort of garbled series of raspy sounds.
  941. 01:52:57: <viejo> Dr. J could've sworn he failed the roll... but he watches and waits.
  942. 01:53:01: <Goatwright> The creature looks back to Jeisswessel and tries to pull the crate out of his hands.
  943. 01:53:09: <viejo> "Rest of you miiiiight want to offer the other crates now, slowly.
  944. 01:53:38: <viejo> But Dr. J already offered his crate
  945. 01:53:59: <Goatwright> He was just making sure it really was his to take.
  946. 01:54:12: <Rainglove> Billy hands over THE DRUGS. Can I make a charm roll here?
  947. 01:54:24: <Goatwright> Yes you can.
  948. 01:54:29: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal carefully offers his crate.
  949. 01:54:43: <Rainglove> 4df+3 time for more critfails
  950. 01:54:44: <BEIGE> Rainglove: time for more critfails: 5 (4df+3=3+, 0, 3+, 0)
  951. 01:54:46: <Hippocratesi> 4df-1 i do not have charm
  952. 01:54:47: <Rainglove> AYY
  953. 01:54:47: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: i do not have charm: -2 (4df-1=0, 0, 4-, 0)
  954. 01:55:02: <NachtRuine> Abe similarly offers his crate.
  955. 01:55:08: <Goatwright> 4df+2 Well, I'll reroll.
  956. 01:55:08: <BEIGE> Goatwright: Well, I'll reroll.: -1 (4df+2=4-, 4-, 0, 4-)
  957. 01:55:12: <Goatwright> >-1
  958. 01:55:18: <NachtRuine> SPIN TIME
  959. 01:55:18: <viejo> WE LOVE YOU
  960. 01:55:20: <Rainglove> AYYYYYYYY
  961. 01:55:24: <viejo> OH MY GOD THIS JELLYFISH SHARK THING
  962. 01:55:26: <viejo> IS OUR GOD
  963. 01:55:57: <viejo> also hippo does mishaal just kind of hold it steady and then full on shove the crate in the creature's face with that -2?
  964. 01:56:14: <Goatwright> They seem to notice the symbol on the crate Billy offers over, as they ignore all the rest. Five or so of the bug-eyed creatures rush over to him, opening the box and snatching various vials and jars out of it before one takes the entire box.
  965. 01:56:24: <Benedict> Seir will offer his crate when they fucking thank him for it.
  966. 01:56:39: <Hippocratesi> he accidentally drops
  967. 01:56:41: <Hippocratesi> it
  968. 01:56:50: <Hippocratesi> everything's all over the ground
  969. 01:56:51: <Hippocratesi> it's all ruiend
  970. 01:57:23: <Goatwright> They don't seem terribly preoccupied with the rest of the boxes, all of them parading into their town with their drugload. Billy is encouraged into the town by one of the creatures.
  971. 01:57:25: <Rainglove> Billy hmms. "I hope I am not enabling a terrible spiral of drug dependence and depression"
  972. 01:58:05: <Goatwright> The rest of you are left there with your remaining crates, but the guards have gone on inside the walls.
  973. 01:58:06: <Benedict> "You are."
  974. 01:58:14: <Rainglove> Billy grabs at el doctore and attempts to bring him with him.
  975. 01:58:19: <viejo> "Well they seem to like you at least, throw more drugs their way and to hell with any foresight."
  976. 01:58:20: <Rainglove> XENOBIOLOGIST PLEASE
  977. 01:58:31: <Goatwright> He is able to be dragged on in with 'em without them complaining.
  978. 01:58:38: <viejo> Dr. J follows.
  979. 01:58:51: <NachtRuine> wot of Abe? da hyomun?
  980. 01:58:53: <Benedict> Seir attempts to follow along (to check out that mech) with the box still in hand.
  981. 01:58:54: <viejo> "Drugs, dear Billy, drugs. They are clearly crazy for them."
  982. 01:59:00: <Goatwright> They can all walk in, at this point.
  983. 01:59:04: <NachtRuine> sweet
  984. 01:59:13: <NachtRuine> How's the place look from the inside?
  985. 02:00:32: <Goatwright> Fairly tribal in nature. Their buildings consist mostly of rough, adobe-like structures, with many animal skins being incorporated into their architecture, either as tents or rough lean-to's.
  986. 02:00:55: <Benedict> So, do they worship this mech or something as a religious symbol or they just keeping it in the middle of town?
  987. 02:01:34: <viejo> Dr. J takes several pictures.
  988. 02:01:38: <viejo> For science.
  989. 02:01:55: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal just follows em' in.
  990. 02:02:18: <Rainglove> Billy tries to find out what's happening with the drugs.
  991. 02:02:41: <Goatwright> Well, you take a guess. There's several adornments attached to the mech, such as what looks like cloth similar to that worn by the locals. The cockpit is open, with two different esurgan corpses sitting inside of it.
  992. 02:03:17: <Goatwright> From your previous roll, you can tell the mech is in rough shape. Rust absolutely everywhere, and some heavy battering. The whole thing looks like it's being help up with supports, rather than supporting itself.
  993. 02:03:20: <viejo> Just to make it clear, Dr. J would've left that corpse before he did the charming stuff or even got near.
  994. 02:03:28: <Goatwright> Yeah I figured.
  995. 02:03:39: <viejo> He just throws the corpse at them as an offering haha
  996. 02:03:54: <viejo> Can Dr. J see the cause of death of the esurgans from here?
  997. 02:04:05: <Goatwright> Billy, they take the drugs into the tent with the two your group shot later, and give them what seems like a hefty load of vials and bottles.
  998. 02:04:20: <Benedict> Seir is gonna take a WILD guess here and presume that trying to climb the mech will get him murdered.
  999. 02:04:21: <Goatwright> They then head on into one of the larger houses in the village with the crate, all of them letting out what seems like cheering.
  1000. 02:04:29: <Goatwright> You wanna ROLL, Dr. J?
  1001. 02:04:37: <viejo> Roll what?
1002. 02:04:51: <NachtRuine> Abe's looking about to see how they're surviving and holding up in the cold. It didn't seem like there was much wildlife around.
1003. 02:04:58: <Goatwright> I'll let you do Biology, since the focus is on anatomy/physiology.
  1004. 02:05:05: <viejo> 4df+5 ROLLS AHOY
  1005. 02:05:06: <BEIGE> Viejo: ROLLS AHOY: 5 (4df+5=0, 3+, 0, 4-)
1006. 02:05:43: <Goatwright> You can roll for that, Abe. Mishaal can roll Farming!
  1007. 02:06:18: <NachtRuine> 4df+5 aaaaw yissssss
  1008. 02:06:19: <BEIGE> NachtRuine: aaaaw yissssss: 7 (4df+5=3+, 3+, 0, 0)
1009. 02:06:21: <Goatwright> The corpses seem to have suffered some sort of blunt-force trauma, Doc. They're very battered up, and their faces look nearly caved in, but it doesn't seem to be from weapons.
1010. 02:07:11: <viejo> "Billy, the esurgans here have been, bluntly, battered to death, but not by weapons. The one I found earlier shot himself, suicide, no doubt."
1011. 02:07:45: <Benedict> Seir needs to do something with this mech. What can do from the ground floor to study this mech? As we know, Esurgans seem like they're just better technologically. Must mean their mechs are better, too.
1012. 02:08:11: <Goatwright> Well Abe, you figure all these hides had to come from somewhere. In terms of their behavior, they seem to be reacting fine. Though their faces are twitching like the ones you saw earlier, their movements don't look very sluggish. Odds are, though, that all the supplies at the bottom of the chasm have probably been helping them subsist for some time.
1013. 02:08:53: <Goatwright> Billy is shoved into the building along with the drugs, and he is presented to, what Billy can best guess, is some sort of authoritative figure. One of the creatures seems to talk to him, but he only stares deep into Billy's soul.
  1014. 02:08:56: <Goatwright> The staring contest commences.
1015. 02:09:07: <Rainglove> "What would they have been battered by that isn't a we-" Billy stares
1016. 02:09:13: <viejo> Dr. J joins Billy in the building.
1017. 02:09:26: <Rainglove> Billy doesn't actually have eyes, does he?
  1018. 02:09:33: <Rainglove> can anyone tell if he's staring
1019. 02:09:38: <Goatwright> He does, and they can!
  1020. 02:09:43: <Rainglove> oh
  1021. 02:09:45: <Rainglove> well then he stares
1022. 02:09:56: <viejo> Dr. J takes a sly picture of the interior before putting his phone away.
  1023. 02:10:03: <Goatwright> Roll Charm thrice, o' Billy.
  1024. 02:10:19: <Rainglove> 4df+3 CRITFAIL 1
  1025. 02:10:20: <BEIGE> Rainglove: CRITFAIL 1: 1 (4df+3=4-, 4-, 4-, 3+)
  1026. 02:10:24: <Rainglove> 4df+3 CRITFAIL 2
  1027. 02:10:25: <BEIGE> Rainglove: CRITFAIL 2: 2 (4df+3=0, 0, 4-, 0)
  1028. 02:10:29: <Rainglove> 4df+3 AND 3
  1029. 02:10:29: <BEIGE> Rainglove: AND 3: 4 (4df+3=3+, 0, 0, 0)
  1030. 02:10:36: <Goatwright> 4df+2
  1031. 02:10:36: <BEIGE> Goatwright: -1 (4df+2=4-, 4-, 0, 4-)
  1032. 02:10:38: <Goatwright> 4df+2
  1033. 02:10:38: <BEIGE> Goatwright: 2 (4df+2=3+, 4-, 3+, 4-)
  1034. 02:10:39: <Goatwright> 4df+2
  1035. 02:10:39: <BEIGE> Goatwright: -1 (4df+2=4-, 4-, 4-, 0)
1036. 02:11:04: <viejo> so he won social combat basically
1037. 02:11:13: <NachtRuine> "These bugeyes are holding up pretty well. The crates are probably responsible for keeping 'em as well as they are, but they seem well-adjusted. They might be from this planet after all."
1038. 02:11:34: <Benedict> Seir must study this mech further. Maybe if he just climbs up a little.
1039. 02:11:35: <Goatwright> It seems to stare deep into Billy's eyes, unyielding, before it suddenly lunges its arms forward and brings Billy forward into an embrace. The crowd in the building begin to cheer loudly and excitedly.
1040. 02:11:49: <Goatwright> Seir suddenly hears a shout and a gun flies up at him!
1041. 02:11:55: <viejo> Dr. J records the staring and subsequent hugging.
1042. 02:12:07: <Rainglove> oh my god someone hugged billy
  1043. 02:12:11: <Rainglove> billy hugs the thing
1044. 02:12:20: <Goatwright> He isn't shot at, but it's being aimed at him threateningly. Don't touch the thing.
1045. 02:12:33: <viejo> "You're finally a man now Billy! Hoorah! No but seriously I have no idea what just happened, are you two soulmates or something?"
  1046. 02:12:50: <Rainglove> "I am unsure"
1047. 02:13:42: <NachtRuine> "Guess they don't want you touching the mech, Seir. What a shame."
1048. 02:13:53: <Goatwright> Billy is led outside by the figure, and soon the mob is heading towards the mech. The head guy is babbling on at Billy, motioning from him to the mech a few times.
1049. 02:14:13: <Benedict> Seir gets it. He's not going to climb.
1050. 02:14:21: <Goatwright> He also makes a few vague gestures to what you can only assume is the west, towards the sun, but you're not sure.
1051. 02:14:25: <Rainglove> Billy has seen enough earth movies to know where this is going
1052. 02:14:37: <Rainglove> Billy is pretty sure he's about to be beaten over the head with non-weapons
1053. 02:14:45: <viejo> "Hey Billy, I'd be careful, actually Billy I don't feel so good about this."
1054. 02:14:59: <viejo> "There is a good possibility you are to be some sort of sacrifice."
1055. 02:14:59: <Benedict> Seir just wants to climb in the mech.
  1056. 02:15:09: <Hippocratesi> 4df+3 JUST SO YA, I FARM
  1057. 02:15:09: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: JUST SO YA, I FARM: 3 (4df+3=0, 3+, 4-, 0)
  1058. 02:15:14: <Hippocratesi> O
1059. 02:15:25: <Goatwright> They place Billy in front of the mech and tap on his visor, then motion towards the mech.
  1060. 02:15:25: <Hippocratesi> *ya know
  1061. 02:15:26: <Hippocratesi> fug
1062. 02:15:41: <Goatwright> They make grand gestures of 'UP', but aren't trying to put you into the thing.
1063. 02:15:48: <Rainglove> Billy decides maybe now would be a good time to call in his ship. "I think now may be a good time to call in the ship unless you think I should just go for it"
  1064. 02:16:07: <Rainglove> "I mean I can just go up but I am a bit nervous"
1065. 02:16:11: <Benedict> Why does he get to go in the mech. He doesn't even have a PHD in Mech Engineering. Seir is jelly.
1066. 02:16:38: <Rainglove> Billy points at Seir, then up at the mech. If it's possible to do so in a questioning manner when all you have are tentacles, he does so
1067. 02:16:43: <viejo> "I really couldn't call this one, I'm sorry Billy. If they start getting a bit crazy and sacrificial I'll re-arrange their anatomy, primarily by reducing their limb-count."
1068. 02:16:48: <Goatwright> Mishaal sees that they have started some basic farming, and from what he can assume based off the budding, were all obtained from packets inside the emergency crates.
1069. 02:17:17: <Rainglove> In the meantime he starts checking to see if the mech has any systems he can access remotely.
  1070. 02:17:27: <viejo> Dr. J is still recording.
1071. 02:17:53: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal is slightly impressed. If only he could teach them a few things.
1072. 02:17:56: <Goatwright> They look at Seir inquisitively, after the motioning.
1073. 02:18:21: <Goatwright> One of them tugs at his arm - a smaller one, with softer features - and then taps on it, before tapping on the leg of the mech.
1074. 02:18:38: <Goatwright> This insight seems to surprise the leader figure, who himself taps on his augmented arm, and then taps the mech.
1075. 02:18:54: <Benedict> Seir will need to wash this arm later.
1076. 02:18:54: <Goatwright> They then stare at him, almost expectantly.
1077. 02:19:10: <viejo> "Look one of you has to get in to find out if they want to crush you or not."
1078. 02:19:20: <Goatwright> Maybe you can, Mishaal! There's a few that you notice seem to be trying to mend to the farm.
1079. 02:19:30: <Rainglove> "Well doctor you are one of the most combat capable of us all"
1080. 02:19:33: <NachtRuine> "I, uh, think they want you to go in now. Are you up for it?"
1081. 02:19:43: <Benedict> Seir points at himself, then the mech, then to the west. Are they okay with that?
  1082. 02:19:54: <Goatwright> They burst into cheers.
1083. 02:19:59: <viejo> "I'm a man with a missing arm good lord Billy don't be so insensitive as to suggest I should be the one."
  1084. 02:20:02: <viejo> He continues filming.
1085. 02:20:03: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal approaches, hoping they won't stab him in the stab. He isn't quite sure how to go about this.
  1086. 02:20:09: <Hippocratesi> 4df+1 Ch-charm?
  1087. 02:20:09: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: Ch-charm?: 0 (4df+1=0, 4-, 4-, 3+)
1088. 02:20:11: <Benedict> Well, Seir is fine with maybe being a sacrifice. Seir starts to climb.
1089. 02:20:17: <Goatwright> Nah nigga, just roll farming.
  1090. 02:20:24: <Hippocratesi> i also rolled that wrong
1091. 02:20:29: <viejo> are you trying to charm the seeds into growing?
1092. 02:20:31: <NachtRuine> Abe keeps watch for any sacrificial intentions.
1093. 02:20:44: <Hippocratesi> 4df+3 LET ME TEACH YOU, MY PRIMITIVE FRIENDS
  1094. 02:20:44: <BEIGE> Hippocratesi: LET ME TEACH YOU, MY PRIMITIVE FRIENDS: 6 (4df+3=0, 3+, 3+, 3+)
  1095. 02:20:54: <viejo> PRAISE THE SUN
1096. 02:20:59: <Goatwright> Seir is helped into the mech, and he manages to climb into the seat next to the two corpses.
  1097. 02:21:05: <Hippocratesi> MUH GREEN THUMB
1098. 02:21:18: <Benedict> They smell like failure. Seir goes to start this mech up.
1099. 02:21:23: <viejo> "Also I seriously think you're about to be sacrificed Seir."
  1100. 02:21:32: <Goatwright> Well, it doesn't.
1101. 02:21:46: <Rainglove> "Seir can you tell if the mech is powered?"
1102. 02:21:52: <viejo> "They're tribal like in nature, for starters, and they seem to worship the sun."
1103. 02:21:54: <Goatwright> Just like the pod from earlier, it doesn't seem to have a battery with any sort of energy.
1104. 02:22:03: <Goatwright> Perhaps a roll of ENGINEERING might shine some insight.
1105. 02:22:17: <Benedict> 4df+5 It just might provide some insight unless I fail.
  1106. 02:22:18: <BEIGE> Benedict: It just might provide some insight unless I fail.: 6 (4df+5=0, 0, 3+, 0)
1107. 02:22:18: <viejo> "Or perhaps they want you to get the mech working and if you fail they're brutally beat you to death?"
1108. 02:22:20: <NachtRuine> (dont forget to tag aspect son)
1109. 02:22:51: <Benedict> And lets just tag Engineering prodigy just for fun. I got the fate chips or whatever for it.
  1110. 02:22:53: <Benedict> So make that an 8.
1111. 02:23:18: <Goatwright> Mishaal gets right down to it. He's actually familiar with these plants, as they're similar to the rations that his people first had access to, and with the frosty environment it's like he's really at home. The few farming locals seem almost seem enthralled, as they watch him, and some try to follow his example of plowing, dropping, etc.
1112. 02:24:21: <Goatwright> Alright, Seir. This thing is a big rusty pile of shit, and with a battery that's dead, there's no doubt that this thing has been here for a /really/ long time. The console isn't cracked, which means the computer inside could still be functional, if you managed to get it some power. But to power it, you'll need a power source. Billy's ship should do.
1113. 02:24:45: <Goatwright> Those legs are definitely too weak to keep this thing going, if they needed to prop it up, but something strikes you.
1114. 02:24:51: <Hippocratesi> "Yes! Very good!" Mishaal tries not to startle them with his happiness. These folks ain't too bad.
1115. 02:25:09: <Goatwright> Those rotors you fixed in the shop earlier? You took them with you.
1116. 02:25:46: <Benedict> "Squid. I need power from your ship to make this thing work."
1117. 02:26:10: <Rainglove> "Well I will call the ship in then" Billy calls the ship in
1118. 02:26:12: <viejo> Do these tribals have any animals?
1119. 02:26:22: <Rainglove> if he can do so in a non SHOCK AND AWE sort of way he does so
1120. 02:26:38: <Rainglove> also he has it approach from the west
  1121. 02:26:40: <Rainglove> just for giggles
1122. 02:26:48: <Benedict> Seir starts to climb down the mech to work on the legs with those rotors he still had on him.
1123. 02:26:48: <Goatwright> Not that you can tell, Doc, which you think is rather unfortunate. Looks like they haven't hit animal husbandry yet.
  1124. 02:27:13: <Hippocratesi> if only i could TEACH THEM
1125. 02:27:17: <viejo> Dr. J expected animals. Alien animals. Undiscovered alien animals.
1126. 02:27:17: <Hippocratesi> but we have no animals
1127. 02:27:28: <NachtRuine> well it is winter, doc
1128. 02:27:30: <Goatwright> You found undiscovered alien species.
  1129. 02:27:36: <viejo> HE NEEDS MORE
1130. 02:27:49: <viejo> Also if there were animals he was going to knock one out as they left and leg it to a pod with it
1131. 02:28:03: <Goatwright> The fact that the ship flies in from the west has the entire village screaming and shouting. They're feeling it. The hype is real.
1132. 02:28:14: <Goatwright> With some work, Seir manages to fix up the legs. They should be able to hold everything.
1133. 02:28:16: <Benedict> Calm down with your experiments, Mistuh Jay.
1134. 02:28:36: <Benedict> Now, what does Seir need to do to get power from ship to the mech?
1135. 02:28:49: <Rainglove> Billy goes to get the jumper cables of the future
1136. 02:28:59: <Rainglove> they're like the jumper cables of today
  1137. 02:29:00: <Goatwright> Billy's got the idea.
  1138. 02:29:02: <Rainglove> but 500 feet long
1139. 02:29:23: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal leaves the bug farmers to their work and meets the others at the mech. "What is happening here?"
1140. 02:29:36: <Benedict> Well, let's connect these cables and power this beast.
  1141. 02:29:46: <NachtRuine> "Seems we're jump starting a mech for these guys."
  1142. 02:29:59: <viejo> "Or Seir's about to be sacrificed."
1143. 02:30:02: <Rainglove> Billy somehow gets the end of the cables down to Seir. "I assume you know how those work"
1144. 02:30:44: <Benedict> Of course he knows. Now make it happen, GM. Let's make it happen.
1145. 02:32:23: <Goatwright> With a dramatic spark for flare, the mech suddenly revs itself to life. It slowly lumbers itself upward, and... suddenly begins to walk.
1146. 02:32:38: <Goatwright> By itself, at that, towards the West.
1147. 02:32:39: <Benedict> Wait wait, what. Seir didn't tell it to walk. Oh goddess, what.
1148. 02:32:52: <Benedict> "I did not order this to happen."
1149. 02:33:04: <Benedict> "Must have automated walking systems."
1150. 02:33:22: <Goatwright> It marches through a few tents and the bramble fence, but they don't seem to mind, cheering as they watch it leave.
1151. 02:33:25: <NachtRuine> "Probably. Any idea where it's walking to?"
1152. 02:33:30: <Rainglove> Billy stops to pick up whoever wants to be picked up and then jets ahead to keep up with the mech
  1153. 02:33:41: <Benedict> "West."
1154. 02:33:54: <Benedict> Don't forget our drop pods full of information and drugs, Billy.
1155. 02:34:10: <Goatwright> Nah, we'll say he got 'em. NO PROBLEMO.
1156. 02:34:13: <viejo> "It's probably automated to praise the sun, crazy tribals."
1157. 02:34:31: <NachtRuine> "I somehow doubt the tribals programmed the mech."
1158. 02:35:02: <Benedict> "Are the tribals following the mech. Is this some great migration." Seir asks questions to himself because he's in the mech. Alone.
1159. 02:35:11: <Benedict> Well, the dead bodies keep him company.
1160. 02:35:25: <Goatwright> They're not. They're watching and waving, as the mech continues on.
1161. 02:35:33: <Benedict> "I'm going to guess you two didn't know how to make this work again. Thankfully I'm smarter than you."
1162. 02:35:54: <NachtRuine> ded man tell no tales
1163. 02:36:13: <Rainglove> Billy tries to figure out what the mech might be heading towards, seeing as he's in a plane. Anything obvious up ahead?
1164. 02:36:21: <Rainglove> maybe that big "Flat spot" from earlier
  1165. 02:36:38: <Goatwright> Aha.
1166. 02:37:12: <Benedict> Seir sings to himself to pass the time. "Shiver my timbers, shiver my sides. Yo ho, heave ho." Humans at least make good music.
1167. 02:37:32: <Goatwright> As Billy flies about, his sensors pick up the same familiar flat spot, and the mech is indeed heading towards it.
1168. 02:38:07: <Benedict> Seir uses the dead bodies as a foot rest.
1169. 02:38:15: <Rainglove> "Seir I believe you are headed towards the chasm we fell down when dropping"
1170. 02:38:37: <Benedict> "Did you save the drop pods. I don't want to drop the mech on them."
1171. 02:38:46: <Benedict> "Also, I guess that means you should pick me up so I don't fall to my death."
1172. 02:38:54: <Goatwright> They are not in the chasm, so they will be fine.
1173. 02:39:07: <Goatwright> This is the hole you fell in at the beginning of the run. The huge one.
1174. 02:39:30: <Rainglove> "Well yes but you are much smaller than my standard pickups and I do not know if I can but I can certainly try to lift you out"
1175. 02:39:36: <Rainglove> "How is your jumping ability?"
1176. 02:40:28: <Benedict> Seir remains quiet for a bit. "It might just be smarter for me to strap in and see if I can survive the mech. Or... wait..." Seir checks. Does this mech have some sort of emergency evac?
  1177. 02:40:41: <Goatwright> It does!
  1178. 02:40:47: <Benedict> Seir is using it.
1179. 02:41:22: <Goatwright> The top of the mech flies open as Seir is suddenly strapped to the chair and ejected from the cockpit at high speeds, soaring over both the ship and the hole.
  1180. 02:41:34: <Benedict> "Weeeee."
1181. 02:42:32: <Goatwright> He watches as the mech walks towards the hole, and soon drops into it. You can hear the thunderous roar of the tribals as it does so, and from up above, you can see it tumble and tumble until it hits the bottom.
1182. 02:42:38: <NachtRuine> "A shame we couldn't reprogram it to stop walking. Could've taken it for ourselves."
1183. 02:42:47: <Goatwright> The bottom, as you would be surprised, doesn't make the sort of sound you'd expect.
1184. 02:43:24: <Benedict> "There goes new mech technology."
1185. 02:43:27: <Goatwright> You hear a loud, metallic THUNK echo out from the hole, that reverberates for some time.
1186. 02:44:18: <Benedict> Seir is confused about the sound. Then he says the first random idea he has. "Either the Esurgan ship the drop pod was a part of is down there, or that chasm is a mech graveyard."
1187. 02:44:47: <Benedict> "Or, very small chance, there is something belong to the ones who are now gone."
1188. 02:44:53: <Goatwright> As fuel leaks out from the mech and catches fire, spreading throughout the chasm, both you and those on-board the ship see that the bottom of the cavern isn't much of a cavern at all, now that it's so well-lit.
1189. 02:45:20: <Benedict> The suspense is killing Seir.
  1190. 02:45:27: <Goatwright> It's dickbutt.
1191. 02:47:05: <Goatwright> The bottom of the cavern does, in fact, look incredibly flat. It gives off some sort of metallic sheen, and you notice as the snow starts to melt that there are what look to be massive cables running along it.
  1192. 02:47:10: <Goatwright> Roll Archaeology, Seir.
  1193. 02:47:15: <Goatwright> I would tag.
1194. 02:48:00: <Benedict> What would I tag? Engineering Prodigy? I'm not sure if that works here.
  1195. 02:48:47: <Goatwright> I will accept it.
1196. 02:49:08: <Benedict> 4df+4 Well, okay. Tagging Engineering Prodigy. Show me that fail roll.
  1197. 02:49:09: <BEIGE> Benedict: Well, okay. Tagging Engineering Prodigy. Show me that fail roll.: 4 (4df+4=4-, 3+, 0, 0)
  1198. 02:49:21: <Goatwright> Good enough.
  1199. 02:49:23: <Goatwright> Guess what, boys?
  1200. 02:49:32: <Goatwright> You've found your first progenitor ruins.
  1201. 02:49:54: <NachtRuine> ohshit
1202. 02:50:10: <Benedict> "We... We just hit the motherload." Seir, for the first time in awhile, feels emotions. On his face.
1203. 02:50:26: <Benedict> "Can someone contact the captain. Tell him what we found."
  1204. 02:50:32: <Goatwright> His bludgeoned, hair-covered face.
  1205. 02:50:44: <Hippocratesi> "What have we found?"
  1206. 02:50:59: <NachtRuine> "We don't have a signal on this planet, why, what's happened?"
1207. 02:51:11: <Benedict> "Progenitor ruins. Ruins from the aliens that came before all of us. Or at least before any of us reached the stars."
1208. 02:51:26: <Rainglove> "Can you send me a picture or something to send up to the captain?"
1209. 02:51:42: <Rainglove> "Actually you just compile whatever it is and I'll relay it from my ship"
  1210. 02:51:44: <NachtRuine> Abe chuckles. "Well fuck'n A. Someone save these co-ords."
1211. 02:52:00: <Goatwright> Maybe it might be best to just go ahead and fly up to him to let him know.
1212. 02:52:06: <Goatwright> You could catch Seir, probably
1213. 02:52:13: <Benedict> "I am not sure if any of you know how important that is, but I'll explain it in a way that the human can know how important it is. This would be like if their Demi-God, Jesus, came back to life." Seir snaps a picture of the ruins (should be easy with all the fire and shit, right) to send to Billy.
  1214. 02:52:32: <Goatwright> Picture is sent.
  1215. 02:53:00: <NachtRuine> "Don't patronize me, lemur-magnet. I know how important this shit is."
1216. 02:53:18: <Hippocratesi> Mishaal has no damn idea who Jesus is but he understands 'Demi-God'. "I see."
1217. 02:53:20: <Rainglove> "Well Seir I can try to scoop you out of the air if you're comfortable with being as close to giant balls of fire as that requires"
1218. 02:53:36: <Benedict> "So long as you don't burn my feathers."
1219. 02:53:51: <Rainglove> Billy attempts to thread the needle
  1220. 02:54:07: <Goatwright> Needle is threaded.
1221. 02:54:28: <NachtRuine> Abe gathers himself. "We forget anything important? We got the data?"
1222. 02:54:56: <Benedict> Goat said we got the pods, which means we got the data, the drugs, and the Doctor's sex toy.
  1223. 02:54:59: <Benedict> We're fine.
1224. 02:55:08: <Rainglove> "The ship retrieved the pods and I have you all I think is anyone not on board?"
1225. 02:55:30: <NachtRuine> if anyone isn't on board, they are now
1226. 02:55:56: <Benedict> Let's get back to an area where we can communicate with the main ship.
  1227. 02:56:02: <Rainglove> WOOSH
  1228. 02:56:04: <Rainglove> SPACE
  1229. 02:56:16: <Goatwright> WOOSH YA MAKE IT.
