  1. 1. During a round of Ninja, you are faxed by Station Command inquiring about an “inspector” who claims to have been sent by the company to evaluate each of the station's departments. How do you respond, and why?

  4. I would most likely delay a response, to give the Ninja time to do their gimmick but I would also give a response to the Station saying that I would be checking for any planned inspections for that day and faxxing them as soon as I can confirm BUT I would advise to let the "inspector" do what they need to in case there is a real inspection, because we do not want to disrupt a possibly tight schedule
  5.
  6. I would mostly do the delay for, as I said, to give the Ninja time to Antag and I would give them the neutral response to leave the choice ultimately up to them but allow the Ninja breathing room

  9. 2. During a round of Crossfire, you are faxed by Station Command about a team of mercenaries who have reported a band of pirates operating in the area. They wish to offer their services to the station as additional security. Command is asking you for your advice on the situation. How do you respond, and why?

  12. I would tell them that Internal Security could provide optimal defense in the off chance that they are boarded by this possible pirates, but if they wish to privately contract these freelance mercenaries I would remind them any damages from this would be placed on the command members that makes the decision to let them on. I would once again remain neutral but allowing on the overall setting as I do not want to sway to the Command member's to HAVE to take the gimmick if the Mercs are acting like a bunch of morons, but I want them to know it is okay if they do so

  15. 3. You receive a fax from the NT Liaison, who claims that the Captain has been abusing his authority by removing all of the vending machines from the station and has demoted an engineer for littering. How do you respond?

  18. This is a toughie
  19.
  20. But the Captain does have ultimate authority on the Station, so I would likely have to tell the Liaison that unless they put someone in immediate danger or cause irreparable damage then they can not do anything about this captain, they are being harsh and hard but not an active danger and these actions are within their power I believe

  23. 4. In your opinion, how much of a role should Central Command play in the affairs of the station? When is it appropriate for them to directly intervene, and how much should they attempt to shape the round when they do?
  24.

  26. Central Should most definitely be a supporting role that does not have much actual interaction with the station or the events that are currently happening, they exist to enrich the round and the universe we play in. When they should intervene is a hard question, but I would say when something horrible is happening that not a lot of people can manage, like say Mercs that silently killed all command staff and stole their IDs so no one can launch a beacon, then I think it is fair and reasonable for Central to send in a team at that point as the round is suffering for it not happening. Central should never attempt to shape the round, only respond to it with reasonable force for both sides, but they should also act in the interest of fun for the station, if that makes sense

  29. 5. What do you believe is the purpose of the Incident Report system?
  30. MyphicbowserToday at 10:42
  31. To handle IC incidents of misuse of power or mistreatment in the workplace, obviously it only takes real effect in extended rounds and it is purely an IC method of dealing with players that did reasonable but unethical things, as if it becomes Unreasonable then it becomes an Administration issue, it exists to add not fear but sustenance to your characters actions and how they interact with the world, it makes conduct matter much more as it is in the players hands to file reports

  34. 6. In resolving an Incident Report, when should a character receive significant disciplinary action (such as a demotion), as opposed to a lighter response such as a warning or retraining? Under what circumstances would you consider terminating a character's employment?
  35.
  36. MyphicbowserToday at 10:49
  37. I think how they handle the issue matters as well, depending on how they conduct themselves and if they behave and act rationally, if they can discuss their reason with you and it is somewhat valid if a bit unprofessional is when you should give them a warning, only if it is that characters first offense however. For repeat offenders or immature characters however is when I would start dishing out more of the bigger punishments such as a demotion and other things. As for firing a character, it would take quite a bit to accomplish this, multiple complaints over the same issue, a massive loss of life or other assets for the company, generally anything that goes above their worth, as if a Chief Engineer's gross incompetence with firing up the Supermatter by him letting an Apprentice activate it without checking if they did well, I would fire them for that. If the Chief of Security ordered a very dumb attack on say a blob or other natural non-antag threat and all officers were killed, that would be a firing, stuff like that.
