Essential: Tribes

Hi All,

As I have mentioned before, I am now able to capture the information I require to get Tribes of the ground and have been stockpiling this data.

I thought it might be beneficial to explain what Tribes are and how they tie into the faction. Essentially, Tribes is like our very own 'Elimination' event within the faction; whereby members are assigned a tribe and have to generate points to help their Tribe to become crowned 'Tribe of The Month'.

I have outlined a few key areas that Tribes will effect you and why you should care. This is still a work in progress, so comment below if you are unsure about anything and I can update this with the answer.



Assigned To A Tribe

At initiation, all current members have been assigned a tribe and over the course of January (the first month), these assignments were adjusted to create a close to fair playing field. Moving forward, all new members will join and become Tribesless. If they meet the factions requirements by the end of the month they will be assigned to a tribe.

The methodology for this will be a best to worst (chainer to Tribe), that way preventing a single Tribe from becoming over powered.



Contributing To Your Tribe

First and foremost, you will contribute to your tribe by scoring points every chain (simply a multiplier applied to the number of hits you've performed).

Additionally, you may choose to become part of the management team of your tribe, helping your fellow tribe-mates and driving your tribe towards continuous victories.



What happens if my tribe is named 'Tribe of The Month'

You will be eligible for prizes. This involves a mix of basic prizes whereby anyone from that Tribe is eligible to claim and specific prizes intended only for the top hitters of that tribe.



What Data does Tribes Collect?

Primarily the data from a chain report, Ie. The number of hits, type of hits, respect and so forth.

Some of the data is at membership level, to help inform whosw doing what, but also we have general data that will help inform Leadership decisions too.

Unfortunately, at present you will not be able to see the full data, only subsection we elect to share with you all/ your nominated Tribe Management Team. This is due to the data being unprotected and us not wanting members to falsify data.

I am looking to be able to enable viewing and use of the data in future, with plans to have full hpivot style viewing.
