Damien is highly intelligent, mainly in the subject of literature, although he excels in other studies. He has always had a great intellect, but this seems to have come at the cost of his social aptitude, something he is almost entirely inept in. His aversion to crowds and tight spaces, which could even be called a fear, does not help this fact. He acts much older than his age, and perhaps differently than even most adults. His base personality can be perceived as uncaring, and even selfish, as he seems to only care about his lost books and notes, not helping others, and for good reason. Years of being bullied has forced him to create a quiet and cold shell, to hide his true personality and always keeping his emotions within. He may seem like he thinks himself superior to others, and this is partly true, his better performances in his studies than others have fed his ego. He is cunning, and always looking for a way to think his way through situations, rather than physical violence.

However, his true personality is something much brighter and much more amicable, and is something he would show only to people he would really open up to, or he would be more like himself if he were not so frightened of being bullied, of his childhood being repeated. In reality, he is a rather eccentric person with old-fashioned tastes, and has a tendency to act like a stereotypical scatterbrained professor, running off facts and ideas at high speeds. He can be quite a klutz as well, sometimes even tripping over his own feet. However, when he really focuses, he moves with a certain eloquence, somehow having the ability to move and talk at the same time, rattling of his thoughts aloud, uncaring of the strange looks it can gain. He has the capacity to really, truly, care about people, but it will take time for them to earn his favor. But, it is quite worth the effort, as those that do will earn a caring friend for life.

[u][b]Powers:[/b][/u]
Upon becoming an Interference, Damien gained the ability to create items and use abilities based upon two of his favorite books, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s [i]Sherlock Holmes[/i] and T.H. White’s [i]The Once and Future King[/i].  Both books have two specific sets of powers and effects that they can achieve.  However, they cannot be used at the same time.

[i]The Once and Future King:[/i]

[b]Excalibur:[/b]  Damien summons the legendary sword Excalibur from his book to use as a weapon.  The sword can also transform into three other weapons briefly for special attacks; a lance that stabs forward multiple times to skewer enemies, a shield that is used for a quick block, and, if timed correctly, a bashing counterattack, and a crossbow that fires a single, yet powerful bolt for a ranged attack.  However, these three alternate weapons have to take time to recharge after usage.

[b]The Holy Grail:[/b]
This power allows Damien to create the titular cup from his book.  Drinking from it can moderately heal others and himself, and increase their defense for a short time.  Splashing enemies with the liquid inside the Holy Grail will also do a small amount of damage.  However, when the cup empties it is useless until Damien can summon it again.  [b]LOCKED.[/b]

[i]Sherlock Holmes:[/i]

[b]Hyper Awareness:[/b]  Using his [i]Sherlock Holmes[/i] book, Damien can access a “mode” known as Hyper Awareness.  In this state, he is capable of noticing the minutest details about people, places, objects, smells, tastes, etc., and making logical inferences about them using deduction and induction.  He also has an eidetic memory while using this power, able to remember the smallest details of just about anything he has perceived.  However, this power can only last for a limited time, and it leaves Damien drained afterwards. [b]LOCKED.[/b]

[b]Disguises:[/b]  This ability allows Damien to change his appearance, right down to even the sound of his voice.  He can use these disguises to hide, or fit in with enemies.  However, the disguise is only illusory, meaning that any part of the disguise that is farther from his normal size can pass through solid objects.  Using a disguise is also draining, and losing energy while wearing a disguise will cause it to disappear.  [b]LOCKED.[/b]

[u][b]Abilities:[/b][/u]
Damien has very little physical ability, instead relying on brainpower.  He uses quick thinking to outwit enemies, instead of fighting them head-on, and will look for any alternative to physical violence that would still let him come out on top.  Therefore, he is able analyze a situation and generally come up with the best solution to a problem.  He is capable of understanding things more quickly than most people, and is more of an information resource than someone you’d want to take into a fight.

[u][b]Appearance:[/b][/u]
Damien is light-skinned, pale even, due to the large amount of his time being spent indoors.  He has dark brown hair, which is usually kept meticulously groomed and parted, except for a single strand that sticks straight up.  His brown eyes are covered by rectangular glasses, used to correct his nearsightedness.  Damien is also somewhat short, standing at about five foot two, and has an overall small and mousy appearance.  He wears a sweater, the arms of which are a little too long, a tee-shirt underneath that, and simple jeans and tennis shoes.  He has a satchel with an etherspace that he uses to hold everything he needs, including his magical books.

Damien has no weapons on his own, only those that he can create from his books.

[u][b]Equipment:[/b][/u]
Currently, Damien has no equipment other than his books.

[u][b]History:[/b][/u]
As a child, Damien was constantly bullied for his ‘nerdy’ interests, and would often be found reading rather than playing with other children. Naturally, this attracted the usual playground predators, taking advantage of his lack of friends and apparent physical weakness to intimidate him into doing things for them, such as carrying their books, and even allowing them to copy off of his homework. Eventually, Damien gathered the nerve to tell about these happenings, and the worst bullying came to an end. However, there was still the verbal abuse to contend with, and he built up his cold shell, which eventually became an almost irremovable fixture of his personality, as he was too scared to let it slip, lest the vicious cycle start once again.

Damien also took refuge in his stories, and not ones exclusive to just paper. He enjoyed playing video games for their immersive qualities. They were worlds he could escape to when real life had become too much to bear. Among his favorites were, of course, the Kingdom Hearts series, especially with its plot-heavy story. He had always found the symbolism of the heart so fascinating, as it was not a tangible or concrete thing that one could measure or analyze. To keep all of these things straight, he had a journal that he obsessively wrote everything about the games down in.

It was late at night (on a weekend of course, he would never sacrifice the sleep necessary for school) when Damien was playing the latest Kingdom Hearts game he had been able to acquire, Re:Coded. He had already written many things about the plot, and had very nearly completed the game, when the screen of his Nintendo DS shone a bright white, nearly blinding the boy. The next thing he knew, Damien had woken up in Twilight Town, missing all but one of his books, and the pages of his notes scattered throughout the worlds. On top of that, any content within his notes dealing with the most recent games, 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep, and Re: Coded had also been lost in his memory. Finding his notes would be the only way to refill the holes in his memory, so Damien immediately undertook the task of finding them, as well as his favorite and most precious books.
Recently, Damien has found a few pages of his missing notes, but there are still many empty spots in his memory.  He has also met other Interferences, Kairi early on, Kalas when he was forced to face the villainous hypnotist Dani, and finally Isaac and Naito Zivaku, Audrey Jones, Hawk, and K1-R4 when he helped them purge various viruses from the AI.  The horrifying experience he went through when within Kira’s mind has somewhat unhinged him, and his true personality shines through more often in an attempt to also hide his guilt and depression over leaving Naito behind when he was unable to get both of them away from the Marathon Eva.
He continues to venture through the worlds regardless, determined to find his book and notes, and unlock his powers and memories.
