  1. In this scene. Uri and Xyth would return to the home of the cat people where he'd discuss a few things with the member of his crew. Earlier before, Uri had already placed people in Myles, the settlement where Esbern has been captured. Uri was well updated with the spies left within that settlement and the next but, he had to speak with Xyth about their next move to rescue their friend. However, Xyth, had other plans... Xyth had asked Uri if he would want to be a member of his settlements council, an impact made unknown to him for as Captain. Even his entire crew wanted a spot there in Ocilot as citizens, away from Osrona. An opportunity he was proud to be a part of with an entire crew dedicated to follow their Captain despite the current bandits after his family.
  2.
  3.
  4. [16:33] Uri Sanctum says, "How've you been? There was some things I needed to talk to ya' about, and as well as the rest of the crew."
  5. [16:34] Xyth says, "Um...I haven't been in a right state of mind as of late.."
  6. [16:34] Xyth says, "But I am more then welcome to talk"
  7. [16:34] Uri Sanctum asks, "I won't peck at the issue then.---Mind if I sit?"
  8. [16:35] Xyth says, "Sure"
  9. [16:36] Grey exclaims, "Hello!"
  10. [16:36] Grey says, "Hello."
  11. [16:37] Uri waves to Grey.
  12. (Uri Sanctum)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [16:37] Uri Sanctum asks, "How are you Grey?"
  16. [16:37] Grey says, "Well! So far."
  17. [16:37] Xyth asks, "Well what did you want to talk about Uri?"
  18. [16:38] Uri Sanctum whispers: A few things, that is best said behind closed doors.
  19. [16:38] Uri Sanctum whispers to Xyth: A few things, that is best said behind closed doors.
  20. [16:39] Xyth whispers to Uri Sanctum: Then we can go back to the house
  21. [16:39] Uri nods.
  22. (Uri Sanctum)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [16:39] Uri Sanctum says, "Take care Grey."
  26. [16:39] Uri Sanctum says, "We've some business to discuss."
  27. [16:43] Xyth asks, "So what did you want to talk about?"
  28. [16:45] Erehn Linnaeus says, "Hello hello Uri, hello hello Xyth."
  29. [16:45] Xyth says, "....Hello Erehn"
  30. [16:46] He turns to See Erehn.. "Erehn! You bastard! I tried to come set y' free but you were already gone!" He would approach the friend of his, patting him on the back with an immediate hug.
  31.
  32. He then lets go once the time was spent.
  33.
  34. "Uhm, yea. What I wanted to discuss, was a matter of eyes in the Myls, since Esbern'o's been in their keep."
  35. (Uri Sanctum)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [16:50] Xyth looked toward Uri when he mentioned Esbern has been in Myllenoris' keep, though he seemed to nod at him.
  39.
  40. "Yeah, I saw him there when I went with Thadria to talk to Oracle. He's over there to as a Citizen. Though what do you want to speak on the manner?"
  41. (Xyth)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [16:51] Erehn chuckled, another time to catch up with an old friend. "Sorry! Tonak paid my ransom and i was gonna come back with a cool hat for ya as a thank you along with my life but Lemuria nabbed it before i could."
  45.
  46. He quickly seated himself in a chair before resting his arms and head on the table.
  47. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [16:57] He was pondering on the idea. What he's been talking to Alexander about, and what else could be done. "Well, I have eyes within the settlement... I see that he is safe, for now, but, he is missed... I have heavily considered raiding the jail to break him and any other prisoners free... Alexander is on board with this idea, but, I have also warned that the prisoners will only be freed if..."
  51.
  52. He sighs...
  53.
  54. "If this war comes to an end," said Uri.
  55.
  56. "And I want it to end, thus the reason I have tried to negotiate with Asta and Regulus, to set Esbern'o free under the conditions that I offer free sails... Upon my ship."
  57.
  58. He looks to Erehn, "Well, what do you guys think?"
  59. (Uri Sanctum)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [17:09] Xyth looked toward Uri, though thinking about it, he seemed to ponder for a moment only to sigh. His depressing dimeter was gone, only to be replaced by his monotoned emotions.
  63.
  64. "Free Sails for the release of Esbern. If anything you would want to avoid war and battle. Its an honest clusterfuck of what has come to pass, but I would try to ask what 'they' want in return for Esbern. Just setting Free sails doesn't mean anything to some. When I went to Asta before anything of this mess to ask for neutrality with them years ago, I seemed to have nothing of value to help them, but at the same time they have their own agendas. I doubt they would be in need of a boat aside from using it to attack Osrona with a bigger crew, or even taking it with a fight. So I believe talking out what they want for his release is important"
  65. (Xyth)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [17:16] More business, yay. Erehn sounded almost disgruntled with the tone he was using to address Uri's thoughts.
  69.
  70. "Raiding with Alexander is death. Too many of them, we piss off Myllenoris and seem like Osrona's allies and they've pissed off everyone already. Best we can do is build reputation by bartering with ships but like Xyth said, they'll likely use it for war and taint our reputation. What is the price of freedom for them? You can recover coins but not lives unfortunately."
  71.
  72. Erehn looked like what he had just heard was something he held with pure disdain, the longer he went on, the more frustrated he looked.
  73. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  74. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  75.
  76. [17:20] This much was true. Their planning needed to be well thought out and fighting. Would only make things work... Uri agreed with Erehn, their reputation shouldn't be tarnished due to a one sided political issue.
  77.
  78. "I see... These are both valid points. We can't just, hop on board with such things, it will only place a target onto our backs, one bigger than what we might already have..."
  79.
  80. He looks to Xyth… "If anything, we need to bring Alexander here, or, go to him for this meeting to spread word to him. After all, I can't convince him myself...We're childhood friends but he is still a king and will heed the word of the war council...But.."
  81.
  82. He looks at the table now, "We are a fleet.. Captains and people who have seen all corners of the world, we can give words, and our numbers will assure an agreement."
  83.
  84. Uri spoke calmly, trying, and trying to find a better way.
  85. (Uri Sanctum)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [17:26] Xyth looked toward Uri, sighing up for a moment. He knew what Uri was thinking before he said it.
  89.
  90. "If anything it would be better not to cause more problems. If you rush in with Alexander it will surely end in a bad way. Even if you stormed Myllenoris to get him back you'd still be fighting on their land and causing just as much turmoil as Osrona has. If they are treating him well they know better then to just hurt him until we make a move. If anything you would need to talk to them and ensure a peaceful transaction. I was going to save them until later, but Uri...I wanted you to be the councilmen of the People in the City of Osilot. the one who can know of the common man, speak to the people as their captain and show them that they can have faith. The job was originally going to go to Elizabeth but with the accusations and her own strange behavior I cant say I can give it to her.
  91. (Xyth)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [17:26] Xyth looked toward Uri, sighing up for a moment. He knew what Uri was thinking before he said it.
  95.
  96. "If anything it would be better not to cause more problems. If you rush in with Alexander it will surely end in a bad way. 97. (Xyth)
  98. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  99.
  100. [17:31] The chair leaned back as Erehn kept himself up by keeping his feet wrapped around the legs of the table.
  101.
  102. The look for pure disdain turned into a genuine smile for Uri.
  103. "Good luck on the promotion."
  104. And just as quickly as it appeared, it faded away.
  105.
  106. "Essentially, settle this the most peaceful way possible without hurting everyone's reputation and if everything is a bad option - we should be able to wait until after the war but then again, i'm not sure they'd be too happy with that. I say we just pay whatever they want to have our boys freed."
  107. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [17:37] He shook his head. "I'm saying that I want a peaceful solution... Maybe it is coming out wrong," he rubbed his chin. "I try to council Alexander as much as I could, though... There are other ears he must listen to, officials----Wait, huh?" He looks to Xyth.
  111.
  112. "You want me to be, your a member of your city council?" Uri asked, bewildered by the idea. And here they were, planning for a peaceful transaction of a friend from one settlement back to their home front.
  113.
  114. "I--I don't know what to say, other than that, we will actually... And most likely, do a better job at hearing the words of our people... Much as we have done together as a crew of equals rather than, one with an absolute authority..."
  115.
  116. He would place his elbows onto the table. So rude and ill-mannered. He was rubbing the hair on the back of his head...
  117.
  118. "Still, the matter stands... Of where -we- are in all this... If -our- reputation will assure a safety... For now, it would be wise to wait, to do our best to keep things peaceful... But we must convince the King to end the war not in violence... For I … Actually do not see a point in fighting for a little tussle and insults of a new wife," he refers to Asta's speech.
  119. (Uri Sanctum)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [17:43] Xyth nodded to Uri's words, but then he shook them.
  123.
  124. "We don't have to do anything in the war against Alex and Asta. The war is made from the cause of Asta using magic on Nebula and killed Hrist. That alone is enough for Alex to take action, but Asta was the one to make the announcement to declare war. Alex has more then a reason to go into it. If it gives a leg up he'll do what's necessary to finish a job. He wont back down for right now unless Asta apologizes and even then its a slim chance Alex wouldn't do something.
  125.
  126. Though on the matter of Esbern, I will say that 'we' negotiate for his release. Though the city of Osilot is coming soon. Don't offer something up if it means they can have a leg up in a war, if you can help it."
  127. (Xyth)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. [17:43] Xyth asks, "But I assume you will take the role Uri?"
  131. [17:50] Of course. THe young Sanctum would nod his head. "I don't plan to back down from the opportunity in guiding the next generation to the proper direction... Honestly, I am baffled but, I am also honored that a friend took me into consideration... Despite the current circumstances," He referred to the current hit placed onto his wife and possibly himself.
  132.
  133. "That day, when we passed by Ilburge, it seems that such people were hostile, whilst you can visit the Myls pretty easily... I only worry about the location of where your settlement will be, could you show me again?"
  134.
  135. Uri wondered about a certain drakanite who lurked the swamps and the forest lands just under Theria, probably waiting for someone to slip up and take their life. He thought about the enemies he'd have and the ones he made on accident just by simply breathing...
  136.
  137. "In this world, we have so many who will kill without reason, and sadly, those people end up on a throne or in the tomes of history..."
  138.
  139. He sighs.
  140.
  141. "I don't want anyone suffering by the hands of those people... I'll be a blade for your settlement if I must."
  142. (Uri Sanctum)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [18:03] Xyth smiled, though he'd grab a map from one of the nearby closests of Esshar, pointing to the grove swamp to the west side.
  146.
  147. "It will be here on the cliff side here. I plan to use a mote to block off advancements from a soilder party and make a bridge as a way across. Not to mention opening up the swamps waterways and leak it to the ocean and back around to stop enemy forces from simply walking over the stuff.
  148.
  149. Though I will say that I know War isn't possible to restrict, but I want to ensure that its possible to keep it away for as long as possible.
  150.
  151. The city itself is a Craftsmen's dream. A place to settle down, free from the world of war and even a place to relax and enjoy life. Though we will need an attraction to the place to draw people in, and what I thought about...was opening an academy too, just a small place for classes to take place to teach too."
  152. (Xyth)
  153. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  154.
  155. [18:07] An academy? Uri thought when he looked at the map. A place where one would pass down their wisdom to another. He thought about the settlement and how it would turn out. It gave off a very, Cajun vibe due to the swamp surroundings. This however, seemed more so like a place of opportunity and true neutral ground, much like the island of Los'tal, and in fact...
  156.
  157. It seemed closer, since, Uri wouldn't have to sail all around the exterior corners of Esshar to reach it. This place was a land better than most on paper and in theory. So, he thought he'd ask.
  158.
  159. "And what of the people? How many settlers have you gathered?" Uri leans forward, taking a better view of the map. He was amazed, and smiled at the results. "So, this is your horizon? Your own Los'tal, a dream you've made a reality?" He asked Xyth whilst leaning back against his chair.
  160. (Uri Sanctum)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163.
  164. [18:12] Xyth smiled, though he'd think on the idea for a moment.
  165.
  166. "Well I had a huge mass of people who wanted to help out with the cause.
  167.
  168. Including you...I think there are....Twenty Five people who wanted to help: You, Me, Oracle, Jamey, Erehn, Kurome, Brodeur, Raq, Bo, S-sanna……..Lemuria, Thadria, Lalaith, A few other people recruited by my family, Dawn, Your crew, and even Vivian."
  169. (Xyth)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [18:16] He smiles at this... "I'm glad to have made an impact.. My entire crew... We, aren't exactly the best material for Osrona, but, we help all those who are innocent... I'm sure that once the settlement has been fully built, my men and my women will love the sight of a promised land."
  173.
  174. Uri reached over to give Xyth a quick hand shake, "Right? Partner?" asked the Captain. For him, this was the start, of yet another journey, not just as a Captain, but a diplomat to be. Something he was sure that Elora and ALexander would be proud of... Even then, in that new world, someone would have to fight for it...
  175.
  176. He believed that, it would be someone like him. People polished in war and those willing to sacrifice their life for a cause of saving hundreds, perhaps even thousands over time as the settlement gains a population increase. "Besides, I've already promised y' horses hehe... All that's left, is to set sail again for that precious resource... What's it called again? Arcanium… " He at first had no idea what it was worth, now, it was one of his greatest regrets... Rich and wasn't even aware of it!
  177. (Uri Sanctum)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179. [18:28] Xyth moved his hand out, shaking Uri's hand only to speak up.
  180.
  181. Hearing about him getting Arcanium he seemed to blink a few times.
  182.
  183. "Arcanium? You do know that stuff sells for a lot right? You can fund an entire city with just a bundle of it...I think.....Elizabeth said she'd buyu it once before about 15-20 thousand coin a piece. Its highly Magically incline."
  184. (Xyth)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [18:28] Xyth says, "More so then Orchalicum"
  188. [18:29] Athanoti yawns.
  189. (Athanoti)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [18:39] Slightly angered, the young Captain shouts. "SHE WAS THE ONE WHO BOUGHT THE BUNDLE I HAD!!! FOR MY DEBT DAMN ITTTTTT!!!!" He was mad at himself, breathing like a mad dragon would breathe fire from its nose... But, Uri eventually learned his lesson.. Never...
  193.
  194. Ever...
  195.
  196. Under any circumstance trust someone who you owe money to, that's a merchant and is hungry for more coin at a price that was done dirt cheap!
  197.
  198. "I'll have to just...Take my loss for those three pieces..."
  199.
  200. He shook his head, just snickering at himself.
  201.
  202. "Shame, shame, shame. But I guess we all learn from mistakes right?" He smiled, possibly ending the conversation on a light hearted tone.. Also referring to their later years as chairmen, working together to make an entire settlement properly function.
  203. (Uri Sanctum)
