  1. HELP WHAT CLASS DO I PICK
  2. >either do this quiz http://stardust-rider.com/hero/
  3. >or pick something that sounds cool
  4.
  5. so, you just started and have no idea what to do (getting started):
  6. >mouse over the red guy icon and click on portfolio, this is your strife portfolio
  7. >allocate your strife specibi to whatever you want, this basically locks you into whatever weapon type you chose and is necessary in order to use a weapon
  8. >once you do that, go to the item catalogue under the icon with the cards on top of each other
  9. >pick a weapon of the type you chose from the ordered weapons dropdown list and captchalogue it
  10. (TL note: captchalogue means adding the item to your inventory)
  11. >go back to the strife portfolio and add the weapon to your strife deck, which is like an inventory exclusively for weapons
  12. >equip the weapon you added to your strife deck as your main weapon
  13. >move onto setting up your computer
  14.
  15. whats a computer? (setting up your computer):
  16. >go back to the item catalogue
  17. >under all items, look for an item just called "computer" then click captchalogue
  18. >now mouse over the icon with the single card and the cube, then click on inventory
  19. >mouse over the card with the computer on it, right click, then left click drop
  20. >the computer should now be in storage, which you can look through in the list on the bottom of the inventory screen. you can recaptchalogue items in storage later using this. dont worry about it for now
  21. >mouse over the icon with the green circle.
  22. >SBURB server allows you to connect to another player and give them the machines and items necessary to enter the game's world, therefore "serving" them
  23. >SBURB client allows you to use devices that another player gives you in order to enter the game's world
  24.
  25. on serving another player
  26. >under SBURB server, you can pick another player to act as a server to.
  27. >as for which player to pick, first mouse over the icon with the two talking yellow guys then click chain viewer
  28. >now refer to this image to find a client player for you to serve: https://i.imgur.com/hYRNAAz.png
  29. >once you've picked someone, deploy all 4 items you can under the SBURB server page: a cruxtruder, totem lathe, alchemiter, and a punched captchalogue card
  30. >spend all of the build grist you can on building up their house
  31. >congrats, this is all you need to do for them before they enter
  32. >once they enter, periodically spend some of their build grist towards building up their house to the next gate
  33. >now wait (or beg) for a player to connect as your server if no one has already
  34.
  35. so, someone just connected as your server player and you dont know what to do:
  36. >make sure you followed the getting started guide and setting up your computer guide first
  37. >hopefully your server player has placed everything already
  38. >mouse over the sburb icon (green circle) and click on sburb client
  39. >pop open the cruxtruder and produce a cruxite dowel. this should release your sprite
  40. >mouse over the yellow guy icon and click on sprite
  41. >prototype the sprite with whatever you want, this is completely roleplay so anythings fine
  42. >make the power level appropriately high but not absurd (~100 should be fine for your first prototype)
  43. >do NOT prototype your sprite a second time right now
  44. >this sprite will act as a helper in strifes when you have entered
  45. >now follow the guide on entering
  46.
  47. alright i did all of that, how do i actually get into the game now? (entering):
  48. >go to the sburb client page
  49. >produce a cruxite dowel if you havent already
  50. >place the punched captchalogue card with the code cZCMYq4f into the totem lathe. your server player should have placed the card already. leave the second card option empty and carve
  51. >return to your inventory and captchalogue the carved totem from your storage
  52. >return to the sburb client page
  53. >place the carved totem in the alchemiter and alchemize
  54. >captchalogue the cruxite artifact in your inventory from storage, then use it on yourself
  55. >click that you're ready to enter when prompted
  56.
  57. alright im finally in my land of cock and balls what do i do now
  58. >strife, do dungeons, alchemize and find (or look up codes for) more powerful equipment, rake in mad boonies on your dream moon, etc.
  59. >keep having your server player build up your house so you can reach new gates and eventually your denizen
  60. >connect to someone as a server player if you havent already
  61. >continue building up your client's house
  62. >grind a whole lot
  63. >get RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  69. pro tips for later reference:
  70. *make sure to pick a moon under your character info page if you havent already. this lets you sleep and act as your dreamself. options are: prospit, which is a bright yellow city where you make boondollars by walking dogs and doing community service, and derse, which is a dark purple city where you make boondollars by fighting dersite thugs and assassins. you can do this while you're waiting for a server player too.
  71. *doing anything that fatigues you (strifing, wasting time under character info) as your dreamself will heal, refill your aspect vial, and reduce fatigue for your waking self, and vice versa when fatiguing your waking self.
  72. *the atheneum lets you see every single item collected or alchemized by the other players in your session. filtering this list can help you find codes for new items or consumables
  73. *you cant sleep to regain your health while in a dungeon, but you can still alchemize healing items if you're close to killing an enemy or boss and dont want to leave. nI!!cV!! is a code for a relatively cheap healing item, 200 blood and 800 frosting.
  74. *new weapons with higher power are a much greater help than climbing echeladder rungs. rather than grinding mindlessly, look up a new weapon that is possible for you to make given the grist you can get a hold of, and grind for those grists (or beg) instead. the levels will come naturally as a result.
  75. *its incredibly important for you to build up your client player's house to gate 2 as soon as you can. this is due to the fact that once they reached gate two, they can strife on your land, and if your house has been built up to gate 2, they can strife on your server player's land, so on. this is important due to the fact that the more lands you can reach, the more kinds of grists you can find. its the same exact case for you too, so hopefully your server player will do you the same favor.
  76. *on the topic of gates, every second gate will unlock a new dungeon, with new tiers of items, enemies, and bosses to find. this culminates once you reach gate 7, where your denizen lives. the denizen is the final boss of the game, but you'll never reach it unless your server player continues to build your house.
  77. *aspect patterns under the strife menu let you use up a % of your aspect vial to do special moves against enemies or allies while strifing. the numbers you put in for each value represent the % of your aspect vial you want to use for what, with anything unused going towards reducing the % cost of the move. however, the cost reduction and effectiveness of each power varies from aspect to aspect and class to class. for example, hope players have very poor cost reduction, and as a result use nearly their entire aspect vial for any move regardless of how much they put towards cost reduction. however, hope players are extremely good at damage aspect patterns as a tradeoff, being able to take down even extremely strong enemies to 1hp using one. experiment!
