- The Monarch winced slightly as the cameras flashed. He was used to it by now but he still wished it did not ever have to be this way. No one knows his name, or at least the ones that do know his name never say it in mixed company. His face is wrinkled and his skin is a pale white in the light of all of the flashing photographer’s glares.
- He is holding a stack of papers as he yet again goes to visit Ellis Tech to commemorate their victory in having a majority seat in The Council. The shadowy overseers of Ellis Tech great him in what almost seems like a mocking cheer. Everyone knows The Monarch keeps many secrets and a guise like this from the members of The Council upon his arrival only makes it seem like they are in on the halfhearted joke of the day.
- “Good evening everyone and a warm welcome to our treasured guests on this fine autumn’s day.” The Monarch says wryly and with a faint, curt, smile. “Best wishes to you all and I am glad you could make it to this year’s ceremonies. As I know we are all quite sure, the reception that is likely the only reason why many of you are here, will begin shortly. Until then please be seated as I speak some closing words to this ceremony.”
- “Our most esteemed governing body, Ellis Tech, has arrived as a majority leader in The Council yet again.” The Monarch says with a boring look on his face. “Please welcome their appointees this session.” He states firmly as he points to five younger looking ladies and gentleman across the stage sitting in chairs segregating them from the rather daunting crowds.
- “They seem to have risen in the ranks quickly for ones of their age.” The Monarch states aptly, with a bold tone and a grim but knowing look on his face. “Please stand one more time for a round of applause for your exemplary work,” He exclaims in a soft and congratulatory tone, his voice not losing any of its bold character, “And now I will take my seat”
