	▬ the only reason jeongeun exists is because her young and hormonal mother decided it would be a good idea to have a "summer fling" with a foreigner in copenhagen, about a week before she went back to korea. so you can imagine the absolute mortification when her mother realizes she's pregnant with jeongeun. shunned by her family and friends, her mother quickly scrambled to find a job as a waitress at some dingy restaurant. she then met a wealthy man about twice her age with children that were older than her and married him. jeongeun grew up with her stepfather's youngest child and was constantly bullied by him. as she grew older, she learned to tune him out but it still didn't change the fact that he was a giant asshole. a socialite, her stepfather was constantly being invited to lavish parties which meant the entire family was forced to attend as well. jeongeun's mother fell in love with the glamorous lifestyle and soon gained the reputation of being the life of the party. jeongeun, however, HATED it. as her family's attendance at parties grew, so did her icy demeanor. she was rude to anyone who would speak to her and would simply lurk in the corner until it was time to leave. embarrassed by their daughter's attitude, jeongeun was allowed to stay at home since her parents didn't want to deal with her.

	once she began to witness her family return home in bumbling, blackout drunken states, jeongeun was disgusted. her deep hatred for loud people actually took root because of her mother and stepfather. once she turned 18, she immediately moved out with her inheritance and got a job as a hotel maid. she attended college on a scholarship, majoring in linguistics, and stayed in a dorm until she saved up enough for an apartment. her contact with her mother was minimal and she blatantly ignored her stepfather and brother's calls. after she graduated college, she became a teaching assistant and began to become involved with the kcia.

	▬ the girls had gotten reports of kharon activity in gangnam (doesn't have to be gangnam, i just picked a place) and quickly began to tail them. it was one of those rare moments where jeongeun actually had to participate. she was stationed on top of a building with her sniper rifle and was in charge of taking down anybody who looked remotely like a member of kharon. just when she was about to pull the trigger, she felt someone grab her shoulder. she whirled around and, probably not her brightest move, tried to throw a punch. obviously, namjoon deflected it easily since she absolutely sucks at hand-to-hand combat, surprised by her absolute lack of strength. they continue to fight, but it doesn't last long and namjoon easily apprehends her. just as he goes to kill her, something possesses him and he spares her.

―FIRST IMPRESSION:
	▬ HIM: namjoon was surprised. he had done research on her and knew that her physical strength was lacking. however, he was amazed (even touched maybe) at the fact that she fought him with all her might. she knew his reputation, but wasn't scared. that intrigued him.
	▬ HER: to be honest, jeongeun thought she was going to die. they both knew she couldn't beat him in a fight. he already had her gun and was definitely going to shoot her with her own weapon. but then he didn't. the only thing she could think of was: "what the fuck just happened?"

	▬ jeongeun wasn't scared of him then and she still isn't. as she continues to encounter him more and more, she begins to talk back to him. she insults him and pokes fun at him and vice versa. it's almost like they're bantering. she knows better than to trust him (no matter how charming) and that's how she survives.
