  1. This route is outdated. If you're here on accident, visit https://www.speedrun.com/ttyd/guide for up to date stuff.

  9. This route was originally made by Almolicious, with Zephiles and Sjorec updating it to accommodate for more recent glitches/strategies.
  10.
  11. Unlike the intermediate route, this route does not include Ultra Boots Text Storage, which eliminates Teleporter Room Early and Palace Skip. It also picks up Power Rushes from the Pianta Parlor to make the last few battles easier.
  12.
  13. Almo's 5:10:11 is a good video to reference if you're learning this route: http://www.speedrun.com/run/wzpkvvry

  388. Do the following 2 lines if you didn't trigger Chapter 6
  389. ● Go inside the lower lobby doors
  390. ● Sign up to be a fighter
  391.
  392. Notes
  393. ● Jumping while waiting for the Guards delays him from entering the room. Try to avoid doing any actions during this time aside from equipping badges/changing partners.
  394. ● The fastest way to end a non-attack turn is to swap partners.
  395. ● The fastest way to fulfill "use at least one Special Move" is to fail an Earth Tremor. If you do this, it may be a good idea to appeal on turns where you can't attack, or to use stylish moves to refill your Star Power in case this condition comes up again.
  396. ● Jumping on spiky enemies DOES count towards "take damage at least 5 times." Swapping to Goombella might be a good idea before these fights.
  397. ● Superguarding DOES NOT count as an attack in the event of "don't attack for the first three turns."
  398. ● If you're overlevelled already and you get "don't use items" on a fight where you'd normally use a Fright Mask, you can run from the fight and get a new condition. This wastes about a minute, so it's not recommended unless necessary.
  399. ● If you're ever running from a fight for a different reason, make sure that you fulfill the condition BEFORE running away, or else you will drop a rank and need to refight your last opponents.
  400. ● It's not too common, but the fight order can vary.
  401.
  402. For the 5 fights you use fright masks on, you only have 1 extra. Do not waste your extra unless it is absolutely necessary. You need 1 star point from these battles to not be over-leveled, but it is OK to normally kill some enemies. You have a buffer of 10 star points.

  476. ● Don't Use FP: Earth Tremor
  477.
  478. #8 Poker Faces (2 Bristles (2 HP))
  479. ● Standard: Quake Hammer
  480.
  481. Note: You’ll want to fail this condition no matter what so you start de-ranking immediately. Getting “don’t use hammer” is good luck here. If you get something like “don’t switch partner out” then swap with partner and then quake hammer. Or if you get “don’t use items” then use your honey syrup. You just have to disobey what he says and figure out the fastest way to beat them.
  482.
  483. Note 2: Sometimes this fight will be Shell Shockers, although it is rare. This is bad luck and you just have to attack them until they’re dead. They do more damage when on their backs!
  484.
  485. After you get to rank #8, Get Super Hammer
  486. Break Block in Minor League locker room
  487. Get Dubious Paper confiscated

  495. #10 Armored Harriers
  496. ● Run Away
  497.
  498. You’ll want to manipulate your HP to be as low as possible and FP at least 3. You can rest up before Armored Harriers fight and let them damage you a few times to put yourself in a good position.
  499.

  501. ~The Great Tree pt. 2~
  502.
  503. Once you are back in minor league (deranked to #11), leave Glitzville
  504.
  505. In Rogueport, if you still don’t have Mega Rush, check Charlieton again. If he’s not selling it, just head to east Rogueport and go into the sewers.
  506.
  507. Head down to the room with the big yellow block and 2 blue switches and open Chapter 2 (left pipe).
  508.
  509. Head down in The Great Tree to the cage room and break the floor panel inside the cage. This will revert the game back to chapter 2. Leave the way you came from and head back to Glitzville. Open Chapter 1 pipe on your way back.
  510.
  511. IMPORTANT: If you are not at 1HP, fall in the sewer water to put yourself in peril. If you do not have at least 3 FP, buy a honey syrup from the Rogueport shop and use that.
  512.
  513. Check Charlieton again on your way back. If he’s still not selling it (that jerk) then go to the train/blimp area to reset what he’s selling and come back and check. Keep doing this until he has it.
  514.
  515.
  516. ~Glitzville pt. 2~
  517.
  518. When you restart chapter 3, you want to advance one text box as another comes on screen to delay the opening cutscene and let the yoshi egg cutscene finish out first. Here’s a video: https://youtu.be/ZgtPlLYOfk0
  519.
  520. If you did it right, the Rawk Hawk cutscene in the ring will happen. This means you correctly reverted the game to the beginning of Chapter 3.
  521.
  522. Go to Grubba’s office just like before. When he’s walking to the Champion room, you’ll run into a guard before the cutscene takes you. This is normal.
  523.
  524. When he asks you to sign up to be a fighter, make sure you do not sign up.
  525. Now you can walk around his room. Do Bookcase Jump and walk into the vent
