genres that interest me

music scenes that are of most interest to me are:

--- american country and blues music (appalachian/acoustic texas especially, going into nashville sound and countrypolitan in the 1960's)
--- avant-garde jazz (european free, experimental big band)
--- 1960's pop (psychedelic/folk/baroque/sunshine/bubblegum, stuff coming out of california and new york, ye-ye from france)
--- fusion (synth/rock/funk influenced jazz from 1970's and 1980's)
--- soul music (1960's stax, 1970's quiet storm especially)
--- late romantic, early modern western art music (large ensemble works 1880-1940)
--- twelve-tone and offshoots (second viennese school especially)
