- Nanashi vs Connor
- First thing off, the religious yokai argument is very funny and outside of the box. However, I don't buy that Nanashi should be considered religious by default and Verlux also brings up the point that Nanashi would at least try to exhaust his options against Connor, eventually getting an incap. Elick does bring up an interesting argument that Connor is incredibly frail, and even an attempt at a nonlethal takedown from Nanashi would just straight up kill him, I believe Nanashi can still manage a light enough hit to incap him eventually. Verlux also shows Nanashi is physically superior in every way and is an agile fighter, so I believe Nanashi would still be able to parry and counter Connor's repeated attempts at killing him after each revival. Nanashi wins.
- Regarding the Nanashi OOT, Verlux has convinced me he isn't an arrow timer considering his need of relying on a human shield on the bridge. While he may be able to deflect arrows if he's aware of the shooter, Lara's fighting style as a stealth predator isn't something he can deal with, as he wouldn't be able to deflect an arrow he isn't aware of.
- Roland vs Max
- I was really close to giving Max the win for this. Roland's lack of actual movement speed feats is a definite weakness and if Max's running feat was valid, I would handily give him the win. However, the feat isn't in the RT and is quite important to be missing. While bringing up a calc in a tourney isn't wrong or anything, the issue is that the gif of Max running isn't in the RT and its role as Max's only movement speed feat makes it quite transformative. Just popping the car running gif without the calc in the tourney RT would've been enough. And I also don't buy the game mechanics argument to give Max infinite stamina. So basically this boils down to two dudes who can run, except one dude has endurance feats. As is, Roland would most likely be able to get to the ranged spawn first and pick off Max. Roland wins.
- Athrogate vs MT
- Unfortunately for Elick, Athrogate quite simply hard counters MT with his flail. I think Elick put in a really good effort with counterpoints and had me convinced initially, but Verlux points out that even nonferrous metals like Mythril are affected. Although even ignoring the rust argument, I still think Athrogate would win a brawl as even though they're both very durable, Athrogate's given strength feats are much more impressive than MT's. While the fact that MT can't tire is useful in a fight, it's not really that much of an advantage against Athrogate's strong pain tolerance and endurance. Athrogate wins.
- I don't think Athrogate is OOT. He's being argued as just blindly charging in, flail swinging. Lara's role as a sneaky archer works very well against him and her poison arrow means she only needs a single hit.
- Verlux wins 3-0.
